The best restaurants in Exeter South West

Absolutely beautiful place to visit, the staff are very friendly, & welcoming & the Roast dinners are spot on 👌

Most of the time amazing service today however i was charged for two waffles even though it was buy one get one free it isn't my job to tell them i am doing the deal I'm the customer they should apply the deal themselves or ask if i wanted the deal they then offered me an extra waffle i then politely asked if they could offer either a bank transfer or a voucher or even cash back they said they couldn't do that on their system

Me and my friends spent about six hours there and they made us feel so welcome the whole time. Between the four us we had about 20 cocktails and they were amazing. The food was absolutely delicious, they had such a good menu for our gluten allergenic friend and we all really enjoyed the food especially the tapas. We had Finley, Caitlin and Tilly serving us and we couldn’t ask for better service. They are absolutely incredible and a massive asset to the business. We 100% recommend going there as you won’t find anywhere better.

I ordered here for delivery and walk in on a number of occasions, it's a good kebab house, staff are friendly (driver today was very polite), food seems fresh, clean and tastes nice. I would recommend.

Owner rude arrogant when asking about I.P.A.What varieties he had e.g.citrus or fruity.He shouted across the public house I.PA.is just that...rudeness in not coming up to me.Embrassing and not how you deal with public in hospitality.Would never recommended.Ownwer leave the business if it is getting to you. You have local breweries providing various I.P.A Various fruits ..citrus up date your bar!Another bar person asked about local gins bar person dod not suggest any customer left to chose.Totally not a reputable establishment!

It's worth going, the food is good and they bring it out quickly.

Disappointing pub considering its history. In the Good Beer Guide, but truly don't know why - no proper ciders nor stouts on tap. Only a handful of ales to choose from. Wasn't relaxing nor cosy either.

Staff are great, bedrooms large, spacious, clean, food was disappointing

Had a couple of beers staff were very pleasant and cold beer never ate there but was a good wee bar busy but got served quickly and staff good 👍🏻

Delicious hot chicken perfectly cooked and not dry, hot chips and refillable drinks but overall was expensive for what it was.

Fantastic team working in difficult conditions, accommodating and kind with great communication, particularly Mario and the two others who sorted my issue fast and effective.

As we had lovely meals at the Salutation in the past, we suggested it for a reunion with old friends. Obviously there has been a shift and the restaurant has aspirations of an up market restaurant. Sadly, it didn’t measure up. Very expensive, ridiculously small portions, the quality did not measure up to the price by a long shot. We were not only disappointed but very embarrassed. Will not be returning. .

Just had a cream tea. Lovely fresh floaty scones and delicious jam.

Great prices and excellent service. Short waiting times and brilliant staff.
