Nando's in Exeter

Really impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. The food was very fresh tasting, chicken cooked to perfection. Very quick service too, starters arrived quickly, then mains with a perfect gap in between. Staff very helpful, Jasmine happy to get us anything and cleared the table up quickly in between courses. The Nando’s team all helped to create a great atmosphere in the restaurant.

Myself, my Mum and my niece went to the Princesshay branch on Good Friday 29th March for lunch. We were greeted immediately at the front door by a very polite Portuguese man. Only had to wait a minute for them to wipe down our table and then we were seated. Food was quick and hot. I accidentally knocked over my drink and a waitress called Nadia came over to clean it up. She was very friendly, polite and also offered to refill my glass. Just wanted to leave a review as it was busy but we still got five star service. Many thanks, Kriss.

Popped in today with my wife and some friends before heading to the cinema and planned it with plenty of time to spare ordered our food and drinks no problem then we continued to wait for over an hour for our food which ment we missed the 1st part if the film we had booked to see and when the food did finally come it was Luke warm at best, when they served us they didn’t serve the full table the brought mine and my wife’s and the friend had to wait an extra 10 minutes for there food in which time we had finished ours, needs serious man management or maybe employing more staff… think I can honestly say it was my 1st & possibly last time Il he visiting that store.. not impressed

Clearly understaffed as we had to wait an hour for a table because they couldn't clear them and waited 55 minutes for food to come after we ordered - only for 2 people - and one meal was wrong food. The staff wer q nice enough and the food was ok.

I took my son in for his end of school year treat. Food was delicious, so devoured by a ravenous 12 year old, The staff were welcoming, friendly and service was fab. Will definitely come in again, thank you!

1. Olives for starters were served with main meal,defeating the purpose for ordering starters. 2. 10 peri hot wings served burnt. 3. Bottomless drinks had ran out and instead dispensing sour flavoured water for sprite and dirty coloured water, for Coca-Cola. This affected lots of customers and was only resolved literally on our way out, when the manager explained something about having ran out of sirope. Makes me appreciate the nandos in Taunton to a different level.

Came to this store for Father’s Day and I won’t be returning. Drinks came out staggered. Myself, another adult and one of the children’s drinks didn’t come out at 30 minutes. I had to ask 3 times for my drinks. Food again came staggered which was fine. One of the 9 meals was brought out with a side they couldn’t eat and took a long time to replace. Staffs attitude around this wasn’t great. My chicken was stone cold and had to be returned. No apologies for any mistakes or delays were made.

The service was very quick and helpful, we were a party of 30 and the staff was really accommodating. The food was good and tasty.

Waited over half an hour for food. When it arrived the garlic bread was burnt and the mushroom pitta was cold. Retuned and was given another one. Ordered peri chips, got normal chips. Two tables next to us were given their money back as they’d waited even longer than us. Blooming shambles.

Came in for a quick lunch with my mum and service and food were great. Tuesday 10th lunch time- the young lady with the blonde hair and glasses was lovely and really attentive but not pushy! Keep it up 😊💙

Waited 40 minutes for our food, then had to ask what had happened to our order. After seeing 4 other tables being given food that had been seated after us! Then another wait of around 30 minutes to receive our food! Starter or dessert offered as way of appology. Food was average, definitely wouldn't visit again.

Sat down and ordered our food via QR code, waited 15 minutes, still no glasses delivered to the table for our bottomless drinks, had to go up to the till for these, hardly any response and no apology for this, the guy behind the counter just picked up our ticket which was just chucked on the side and forgotten about. Food delivered to the table; my partner was missing the garlic bread from his order, 10 minutes later, still no garlic bread. Asked presumably the manager for the garlic bread, was brought out cremated, which my partner then asked why does mine not look like the others, her response was, “this is how they look”, we then had a replacement garlic bread brought over, which the manager said “is this better” in a sarcastic tone. Terrible service, restaurant was messy and all of the staff were either uninterested or just talking amongst themselves. Felt extremely uncomfortable after and just wanted to leave after this. Me and my partner are both restaurant managers and we understand being short staffed and long Saturday shifts, however the “manager” did not manage the busy Saturday and all of the staff looked over worked and miserable. Head office, pay your staff more and reduce the working hours, it was a hot mess and they clearly cannot cope without snapping at customers.

A warm welcome, a clean table & pleasant atmosphere. We chose our food, ordered at the bar & had just a few minutes to relax before our food arrived, piping hot & well presented. We didn't have much time, so really appreciated having paid beforehand so we could finish our meal & leave. The food, ambiance & service were all excellent!

Amazing service! Was very busy but still seated us within 10 mins. Dave the waiter was amazing did everything to ensure we was happy customers. Visité Exeter con mi esposa Debbie para un día de compras y comida. Nando en Plymouth siempre es un dios, pero de alguna manera la comida aquí superó bien, fue muy sabrosa y excelente. Teníamos un pollo lleno, chuletas y cocas sin fin, y apenas podíamos caminar cuando terminábamos, ya que estábamos tan llenos. El pollo estaba húmedo, con la piel crujiente y cocinado a la perfección, y con una buena porción de la salsa caliente de Nando, estaba riquísimo. Las patatas fritas eran crujientes y esponjosas y una vez saladas a mi gusto fueron un gran acompañamiento para el pollo. La coque estaba helada y muy sabrosa. El servicio fue agradable rápido y amable, aunque estaba ocupado. Un ambiente limpio y encantador. Bien hecho el personal de Nando. Buena comida para 20. ¡Negociar!

Great reliable food and service you know what you're getting in nando's but this particular branch is my favourite because of the Portuguese guy that works here! So funny and entertaining he makes the visit what it is! I hope he never leaves!

Hace un mes, mi novio y yo fuimos a Nando's para una noche juntos. Nuestro pedido tardó un tiempo particularmente largo en llegar, incluso cuando pudimos verlo sentado en el pase durante unos buenos 5 minutos, no había servidores para llevarlo a nuestra mesa. Teníamos ganas de agarrarlo a nosotros mismos en un momento dado. Cuando llegó la comida de mis novios hacía frío piedra. Nos quejamos a nuestro servidor, quien dijo que iría y se lo contaría a su gerente. Cuando el muchacho le dijo a su manager, ¡vimos cómo el gerente comenzó a gritarle al pobre hombre que le preguntaba qué quería que hiciera al respecto! !El gerente luego visitó nuestra mesa y se llevó muy bruscamente el plato de mi novio sin decir una palabra. Luego regresó y dijo que podían rehacer la comida, pero que serían 10 minutos. En este punto, mi comida estaba fría cuando estaba esperando para comenzar. Acordamos. Después de 15 minutos regresó a nuestra mesa y dijo que había estado mal informado y que serían otros 10 minutos para cocinar. Ya había terminado mi comida y mi novio les pidió que lo dejaran y le devolvieron su dinero. También nos informó que el gerente anterior con el que tuvimos una mala experiencia ya no trabajaba allí. La comida llegó rápida y caliente. Tuvimos un par de cheques de cortesía del gerente y uno de los camareros muy amables llamado Clark (?) Y no tuvimos ninguna queja. Todo el personal parecía más feliz que la última vez.Incluso nos dieron yogurt congelado gratis para el postre después, que estaba delicioso. Una tarde tan encantadora después de la última vez. La comida y el personal eran increíbles! !Incluso nos preguntamos si volver para las comidas gratuitas, pero después del increíble servicio al cliente que recibimos esta vez, ¡sin duda volveremos!

My first experience of Nando was better than I expected. Godd welcome, explained how you order and pay at till when ready. Food was delivered quickly and was good. Good atmosphere, variety of people eating for a Thursday lunch time. Would go back also had outdoor tables for non smokers.

Every time I visit the “Nando’s man” is here and he is fabulous. Friendly, great with my kid and always has a smile on his face. There was a long wait for food as they’d ran out of cooked chicken but the manager was very nice and polite and apologised, offered our kid a free meal and even gave us 2 free frozen yogurts. Thank you. Honestly the best Nando’s I’ve been to.

Sylvia seemed to think it was funny that she can’t seem to hear something and got the order wrong twice, so very rude on the till. The other lad on the till was excellent though. Food was lovely and everyone else was nice.

Love Nando’s in general, never had a bad meal in any of their restaurants. If I had a criticism with restaurants like Exeter it is the way couples are crammed together. We were sat between two other couples today who clearly by body language displayed, felt their personal space had been invaded. So for the designers of these restaurants who feel the need to maximise seating capacity and therefore profit. It’s couples who probably require a bit more personal space but also spend more time visiting. Just give an extra foot please.

A typical Nando's! Could be very busy especially weekends. Service, waiting time and food quality depends on when you visit, i.e, who's on the shift! overall, if they cook it right it's a nice meal. I personally like the atmosphere in most Nando's restaurants and this one is a bit big and airy.

We arrived at Nandos in Exeter a few minutes before they were due to close the kitchen. The staff could not have been more hospitable. The staff were chatty and friendly, the food was delicious and freshly prepared! Despite our late arrival and the fact that there was no other diners in the restaurant, the staff were really discreet with their clearing up and did not make us feel in their way. Complete contrast to another High Street chain (Yo Sushi) we visited previously - website said kitchen closed at 9.30pm but refused us entrance at 9pm as they website was wrong?!?!? Really great staff here!

Waited for 45 mins for food to come. Terrible staff and service. Not the best food so not worth wait.

A pleasure to come back to Nandos haven't eaten in years...had a warm welcome into the restaurant, the food arrived promptly and the staff was very kind..Very pleased with my meal...Can not say bad things ..enjoyed every minute of it..Well done guys..keep up.!!

Me and my friends went Nando’s on a Saturday evening, around 7-8 o clock. There wasn’t many people in there. We ordered our food around 8, came out 10minutes later! I had butterfly chicken and it did seem abit dodgy but I thought it was the different sauces I mixed together! I went home not feeling to well, i thought I was just full and I will be fine the next morning, I was wrong. I had awful stomach for 2 whole days. I will never be eating here again. They wasn’t busy and there is no excuse to give customers under cooked chicken. check your chicken.

Nando’s is a very tasty restaurant although this is covered by the cost.I love the South Africa flavours and the staff where nice.

I grew up with Nando's in South Africa and the English version isn't the same but it is still the best of its kind anywhere. Good venue, nice vibe and cheery staff

The wait for a table was frustrating, especially when another couple who seemed to be known by one of the staff were seated before us. We ordered very quickly, it was busy but still empty tables so we were perplexed by how long it took to get our food. We were close to having to get up and leave as we had to be at the cinema. The food came and it was ok. The reason for the one star review is because of the customer service. The chap who showed us to our seats (Domingos I think his name is) was too familiar, hugging and bordering on inappropriate. He wasDoing it to pretty much everyone and I could see it wasn’t just us who found his behaviour awkward. We had to rush our food to get to the cinema in time even though we had plenty of time when we arrived. I can’t see us returning anytime soon .

First time ever here so was looking forward to a nice quiet meal with my girlfriend.As soon as we walked in the guy who was to show us to our table, noticed my girlfriend.We sat down and decided what we wanted to buy, my girlfriend went to place the order.The guy then approached me and asked if my girlfriend had gone to place the order and I replied yes.She returned to our table and I went to get myself a drink.On my return, the guy was stood at our table talking to my girlfriend.I sat down and he continued to talk to her oblivious to the fact that I was sat there.My girlfriend was now getting embarrassed and eventually (before I started to lose my temper) he stopped talking and returned to his duties!I’m all for a nice friendly welcome but do not chat up customers in front of their partners!

Waited 30 mins on the door for a table for two of us. A couple in front of us got a nice table tucked away and there was a similar table next to that and we asked if we could have that as it was empty but the waiter came up with a pathetic excuse for why we couldn't have that table and he clearly prioritised those customers as he kept putting his arm around the guy and asking how they had been. We were put on a table that was crampt and then went up to order and the guy who was serving us didn't understand much of what we were saying and had to get a colleague over to help. I went to the toilet and when I cam back our food was on the table and it was obvious they wanted to get customers in and out. No cuttlery on the table, no sauce, nothing. Not made to feel welcome. Food was cold and they never brought the desert! Food was ok so will give 1 more star, however the portion size was so small it left us both hungry. Take a look at what they call garlic bread (see picture) Very very bad service.w Unhelpful staff. Shame on you nandos, will not be coming back!!!

Early evening visit so not too busy. Lovely guy welcomed us and seated us. All very clean. Ordered quickly and food took no time at all. Was all delicious and so fresh. Will definitely go again the next time I'm in Exeter.

Recomiendo comer el pollo, que es la especialidad, eligiendo distintos grados de picante, con dos acompañamientos. En mi caso fueron el arroz picante y la mazorca de maíz. Además tienen hamburguesas, y hay opciones vegetarianas y sin gluten.
