✨️went here with friends with one with a baby 👶 and pushchair. Very accessible and large spaces to accommodate so highly recommend anyone with a pushchair ! We all went for the lunchtime special (from Monday to Friday), which was soup and half a panini for £6.75, really recommended 👌 that the soup was delicious. We had roasted squash, onion, and cranberry. Definitely done homemade, if it isn't then a very delicious bought soup ! Recommend coming here of a weekday lunch.

Really quick service and great food. Good menu with options for vegetarians. Dog friendly. Outdoor seating with lovely views of the river. Would recommend!

Such a lovely place and I’d definitely recommend it here, so welcoming and the location is incredible. If you love cherry based cocktails you HAVE to try the cherry Bakewell. It’s genuinely the best drink I’ve had in a while! In the shop across the road they sell bird seed for the geese and ducks on the quayside, perfect for kids!! The food is ok, kind of flavourless depending on what you order. The brunch they do is incredible but the lunch/dinner options are fine. Lots of different meals and things but just lacking in flavour. A meal was requested to have no mushrooms but we were told to just pick them out because it’s all pre made so if you’re picky then maybe not one for you. However, there was a severe nut allergy in our party and they cater for this very well!! All round a lovely atmosphere with lots of things for kids and a very good drinks selection, just a little boring with the evening meals.

Good place for decent food and cocktails. Staff were friendly and food came out pretty promptly.

We came for dinner with our Labrador, who was welcomed 😀 The tapas however was served lukewarm warm at best. Did not complain as we were starving. Sadly was infested by seagulls, which is not a fault of the restaurant.

Seven of us enjoyed a tasty relaxed meal. Staff attentive, food tasty and fresh.

My husband and I had a delicious brunch here. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. I especially want to commend the restaurant in stating clearly on their website that they are wheelchair accessible. As a wheelchair user, this saved me a lot of time and I really appreciate it. We loved our food- my lounge eggs with spinach & mushrooms were especially delicious.

Atmosphere as always good, however service and food was shocking. Out of the 7 of us that went, every single meal was cold yet there was a wait on food. No one came to see how things were, half of the table have been ill since eating it. Almost felt pointless in sending anything back since no one came to us. It’s a Sunday in the summer holidays I get it’s busy, it’s usually great food and good service and after this experience I will be thinking twice about coming here or another part of the chain.

Surprisingly nice meal and very good value. This is a lovely place by the key on Exeter.

Four of us, plus dog, in for dinner yesterday. All good, we ordered on the app and drinks then food appeared promptly. 4 burgers, 1 salad, everyone happy. Have been before and it seems like a safe, reliable choice.

Everywhere else needed a reservation, these guys just fitted us in with great service, good food and excellent service

I had the Buddha bowl. Very tasty. The tapas are good too. They have a selection of gluten-free food. Nice ambience inside.

Food tasted nice but was served cold which isn't great. Also seemed a bit over priced to me. Service was very slow. They allow dogs so that's a bonus to be able to bring our dog with us.

Food order want processed properly at Bar so no food for 30 minutes. Went to check and the issue was resolved quickly with apologies and drinks as compensation. Did was good when it arrived and problem was dealt with well.

Online app would not work so ordered at bar. Paid for drinks and food and took drinks with me. However food order was not confirmed so after 30 I asked at bar and fault was acknowledged and dealt with quickly and efficiently. Offered drinks in compensation. Food was good and service, apart from initial issue was good.

I love the lounges, good food good service, plenty of vegan dishes for those in the group that eat a plant based diet so they feel welcomed. Brilliant concept by the person who came up with the idea. This was my first visit to The Puerto lounge and it fulfilled all my expectations. It's like having the certainty of a big chain with the feel of an independent. Well done everyone involved.

Overpriced, awful service and mediocre drinks

Nice location, and good vibe. The place is very much a Spoons. Food was at best average, and arrived warm. It is a fairly cheap place to eat around there, so you get what you pay for. Nice views if sat on terrace. Sorry wouldn't return.

Lunch time bite, food was lovely and very quick service.

I had an over-priced, blandly tasting microwaved Nasi Goreng which arrived on a plate five minutes after I ordered. It made made feel ill for a few hours afterwards.

AVOID like the plague - never been so sick in my life after eating the chicken kiev burger. Also as previously mentioned by others glass was so dirty, I thought it was frosted!

I have spent the last 24 hrs caring for my daughter who has been violently sick after eating a chicken burger at this establishment, she will not return ever again . That was the only thing that could have caused her illness .

Alright place to grab some food if you're on the quay. Not the greatest quality or quantity but decent for the price. Drinks are good, staff are friendly.

Great location overseeing the river and the bridge. Went with my wife, ordered two glasses of rose and some tapas. The glasses were visibly dirty, sticky on the outside, with lip marks on them. Went to ask for new, clean glasses, the waiter came back with only slightly cleaner ones. Is it that hard to properly clean the glasses before pouring wine on them? We are not returning.

Great for gluten free, puerto lounge is beside the Quay area so lovely for a walk to build up an appetite

Find ourselves having breakfast alongside the river, Good selection on the menu. Options to order at bar or from the table which we did both with fast efficient service. Staff were pleasant and polite. Sat on the back deck in beautiful sunshine, perfect.

Unfortunately this was my first and last time visiting. The food was all cold. Poached eggs beans and toast and a fry up. Lovely place to stop for a drink but food wasn't up to scratch.

Nice atmosphere, not too busy. The only staff member who stood out was Rachel who acknowledged us in a friendly way, checked we were happy with our meals once and acknowledged us again on the way out. Other staff seemed busy with each other and we felt like an inconvenience. I'm not sure staff are trained in customer service anymore, it feels like they are left to it. One member of staff lighting candles reached across us to place a stained plate on our table, then returned to reach across us to place a candle on it. Bizarre!

Delicious food with staff who catered to special requests. Easy ordering through the QR code on table and food and drinks came quickly. Variety of options on breakfast menu which makes it a ‘safe’ option for brunch as there’s something for everyone. Love that the breakfast menu is served all day so no need to worry about timings. 20 min walk from city centre, but definitely worth it and a great choice if you’re in the area and don’t know where to go!

I have been to Puerto Lounge a few times for drinks, and it has always been lovely. Last week, we decided to try their breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious! The staff is very friendly, and they are dog-friendly too. I really recommend it.

Good service, and food comes out fast. Funky atmosphere with lots of space. Good place if you fancy a Friday night drink after work but aren't after a pub. Terrace for the summer.

Love this place. But service could be better. Tables are often dirty and when asked to clean the waiters give an annoying look. Also they run away from you after slamming the utensils, can’t even ask them for other stuff.

The setting and the decor are really lovely, and the food is tasty. There is a lot of choice regardless of your dietary needs and preferences. The manager was friendly, helpful, and engaging, but apart from her the customer service was so-so. A smile and an acknowledgement go a long way to persuading me that I'm not invisible and that you will, in fact, serve me at the bar when you have finished doing what you are doing. It isn't bad service and is exactly what you get almost everywhere, but there is a really small step to take service from transactional to an actively positive experience and it would be great if the service could live up to the beautiful riverside position.

Nice place with outside seating right on the river. Large menu, including a lot of vegan and gf options. Food was nice, ordered a halloumi burger which was well cooked and the chips were well seasoned and crispy.

Turned up at 9:40pm for food , door clearly states "last food orders 10:00pm" 9:47pm we were then told the kitchen closed at 9:45pm

Went for an informal family lunch. Food was OK, but not as described on menu: the children's meals didn't come with the supposedly inclusive hummus and bread and veg sticks. The beetroot and feta flatbread did not include the crispy chickpeas. On taking time to read the menu and compile our order (four items if which were flatbread) we were first told at the bar that flatbreads were not available. However they did go and check and they were. They then said the beetroot and feta choice wasn't available. Again they checked and it was. I thanked them for taking the time to do this. Whilst ordering we also asked for someone to clean the table as it was messy from the previous occupants. This was not done. We also enquired about the missing items from the kids menu and they didn't materialise either. The staff looked run off their feet so thought it best not to take these issues further and just enjoy our meal. Despite all the above the food was good, particularly the vegan cauliflower curry.

We went for the tapas Tuesday as a mid week treat. The offer is 3 tapas plates plus a glass of wine. We chose 3 each but they only had 1 out of 6, not good on tapas night. So we had to choose off the main menu at full price. We asked if they would include a free glass of wine but they said no. Would not go again as it cost us double what we expected.

Well, this is a really nice place, but my buttermilk chicken and my son's burger were as dry as desert. Service is great, but if you want to exclude something, you need to make an order at the bar, and network is soooo slow that it will take ages, for me, to make an order through the qr-code.

The food is ok and the staff very friendly.

Just felt like it could do with a good clean... Floors dirty... Sticky glasses... Not all toilets working etc

Very helpful lady when we arrived assisted us to a table with two toddlers and dog in tow which could have been a bit tricky food arrived quickly always a bonus when you have small ones. And cookie liked the free dog treats thanks

Nice location but not great selection and the ‘homemade’ drinks were disappointing, 80% ice, literally a mixture of ice cubes topped with crushed ice. Not good value for money. The remaining hot drinks/coffee were served after the food so not great.

Eat here fairly often and for the first time the food was disappointing. My son's burger and my buttermilk chicken was very very wet, the plate was swimming in like a watery substance. Strange! Will try again in the future. Benefit of the doubt!

Great selection of food, presented beautifully. However, lunchtime on Saturday, it was noisy due to neighbouring tables with young kids. Other than that, the experience was lovely. Good view.

Très bel endroit au bord de la rivière Exe. Les plats principaux étaient délicieux (curry d'agneau et curry au chou-fleur) et les desserts aussi. Petit bémol: la musique était vraiment trop forte et nous devions presque crier pour nous entendre. C'est dommage! Nous étions déjà venus en 2023: l'endroit était beaucoup plus calme et l'atmosphère plus feutrée.

Superb breakfast, good service and a lovely view

Love it here, the only downside is severe lack of parking and access.

No one greeted us at the door, tables were super dirty and there was no waitress just one bar staff member which seemed odd. My pink lemonade was absolutely lovely but the burger wasnt great, bacon was super fatty and no one checked back on us. Was nothing like cosy club . Not sure if id go again .

A great place to eat with lovely food. I popped in here and had a tasty vegan breakfast washed down with an expertly made Bloody Mary. Lots of vegan options and very dog friendly with treats at the bar. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Had a dinner set with mains and desert for around 12 pounds. Burger was nice and juicy and the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream is excellent. You can choose to have a drink instead of the desert.

Wow. Completely underwhelmed. If you own the Lounge bars please train your staff. Rude and thick. Not hard to take an order for two breakfasts a tea and a oat latte. Got a cold breakfast two coffees and as I am lactose intolerant a morning on the loo cos they couldn’t even get the coffee order correct. For a fast expanding company they are forgetting the hospitality basics. Can’t recommend.

My shakshuka was good, but my friends truffle chicken which I think was a Christmas special was poor and another friends patatas brava was cold and very visibly undercooked. Shouldn’t have left the kitchen. I persuaded her to ask for a replacement which she did, no apology and no check back on any of our meals. Not like Lounges, they are normally great, although I haven’t been to this one for years.

Good food and atmosphere. Order at the bar or app so it all comes at once which isn’t ideal for starters. Good value. Food came very quickly despite being busy.

Great place to lounge on the quay, inside or out. Good brunch and all day breakfast options. Can order food directly on the app and comes straight to your table very quickly. Good options for kids and they accept dogs too.

A lovely quayside setting in a restored warehouse with waterfront terrace. Traditional breakfast options and an exotic spicy shakshuka. Don't be put off by the long menu as it was all excellent and delicious. Breakfast rather pretentiously referred to as "brunch" but it was our first meal of the day. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

Always a great place to come for food!

Very disappointed by the standard of food. Around eleven on a Sunday morning there were no muffins for two of the breakfast items that we wanted to order, we were offered one piece of toast as a replacement! Unfortunately the dish that arrived did not live up to our expectations and was certainly not worth the money we paid for it.

They coped very well while catering a large group.

All we wanted was to be saved from our hangovers. The cold hollandaise was not helpful, nor the muffins which could be used to build houses. On the plus side, we didn’t have to wait long to be disappointed.

Very lovely place. Located next to river and foot bridge to St Thomas. Great location, great people, great atmosphere.

We went for some lunch and we had such a great experience. A special mention to Fin who was super attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and quick to serve us. Makes such a change to your day when the service is impeccable which I’ve noticed other places seem to lack these days. The food was also great value for money. Always can rely on the food at the lounges.

I seem to find myself here more and more; a Coeliac, I find their allergen information clear and accessible. The staff are very knowledgeable. Dog friendly, cold friendly but also a great place to go as a couple or with friends and family.

Food here is consistently great, service is fantastic, lovely chilled atmosphere. Can't fault Puerto Lounge.

Massively overpriced. Paid £4 for a couple tiny onion rings that were cold. Pretty view but that’s about it.

Visited Puerto Lounge for lunch and drinks. The food was excellent.I chose the Tapas. Plenty to choose from. No complaints. Most of the staff were friendly. Our waiter was lovey. Very polite. I believe his name was Fabio.. The Lounge was so relaxing with a great atmosphere. We stayed most of the afternoon 😃

We have visited most of the Lounges in the West Country and Puerto Lounge is another one we like. It is in a lovely spot on Exeter Quay. The staff here are friendly - as they are at all the Lounges we have visited. As a coeliac I appreciate the good gluten free options on the menu, and the care taken to check ingredients.
