Great food quick service amazing atmosphere

Cold chips ,peas and tomato, small fatty bit of gammon, would have given zero stars, bit given 1 star for the egg, was the only hot thing on the plate ! Won't be coming back.

Food was nice when it arrived, but took over an hour from ordering to eating, and missed a starter which we had to chase up. Kind enough to give us a free drink for our long wait

Staff was ant very helpful and they took a long time to bring food, food not the same anymore small portions not value for money now

We visited For 2 nights breakfast was brilliant. Such variety, Dinner in the evening was great and Claire was an amazing host, efficient and very pleasant remembering us from the previous night and asking about our special day.

Visited this morning with my partner and 2 kids and what can i say the staff were fantastic they were so busy with bookings but they still managed to squeeze us in making sure we had everything we needed. I think it was the mangeres i don't know her name was lovely. If i could move the staff from this one to the one by mine i would be there all the time. Thank you for fantastic service and being so friendly.

The booking system is a joke!! As stated how many adults booked 2 then states how many kids under 12 none in special requirements I put 3 teens. Which totals 5. When got there we had a table for 2 booked!!!!! The host wouldn't even compromise. Will not be back

Toilets were disgusting and a lot of cubicles were out of order.

Denied service because l was not staying at the Premier Inn as restaurant was anticipating punters from Premier Inn. How do you deny service on a hunch of anticipation when there are no confirmed bookings. Restaurant was not even half full.

Amazing stay here at premier inn as always! One of my favourites if their hotels.

Staff were lively but honestly the food was worse than awful. The turkey had blood running through it I should have sent it back. The stuffing was soft and tasteless the veg well not sure what to say. My husband had a mixed grill which was cold . Very disappointing as it was quite a good place to eat but never again.

I want to start with the positives. The food was amazing. I had a cheeseburger and my father had a gammon steak. Both were amazing. That's where the good stops. My burger was ordered with an extra patty. This was paid for, however it wasn't in the burger! They'd forgotten to add it! Alongside this the service was terrible. It took 27 minutes for our plates to be cleared (not q word spoken by the unhelpful wait staff, not even a "how was your food"), and a further 14 minutes for the desserts to be brought out. I ordered my brownie with custard. Not something they offer on the menu, but this had been agreed as being okay. It was however, brought out with ice cream and not custard. When they corrected this, the brownie came out sizzling from having been through the microwave twice. If I hadn't audibly heard this, I'd have probably been burnt, as there was no warning that it was extremely hot (glad I have some common sense). I have eaten here over 30 times now, not because the service is good, it has never been good. I eat here because the 2 for £11.99 menu, as it very good value for money. The wait staff are, quite frankly, bad at their jobs. Management are great, but they need to crack down on the wait times more. All in all, 2 star experience at a push.

Beware!! Parking is £7 a night which is a lot for out of town parking. Breakfast wasn't very good.

The food was good, the place was nice but needs refurbishing. The waitress was good, but you have to go to the bar to order and get drinks.

We love coming here weekly. Mostly the food is ok we have worked out the best things to have with allergies and food intolerance. Service is great and the staff always make us feel very welcome.

Food and service great 5 stars! Brad was especially amazing 💪, I asked if I could move tables as my laptop died and there was no plug point insight, like a true gentleman he carried majority of my stuff to my new table. Even my massive bright blue handbag. Thank you, you made my day as I spent majority of it stuck on the motorway 🙂

Had a very pleasant experience here! The atmosphere is good and server Zak couldn’t have been anymore helpful! Very well spoken and helpful.

We ordered loaded nachos, a mixed grill, and a stack burger. The nachos came out cold, with a sprinkle of cheese, some spring onions, one tea spoon of sour cream and zero salsa. Upon asking where the salsa and cheese was the staff took it back into the kitchen and came back out 30 seconds later with 10 small diced bits of tomato (which they are calling salsa). The staff presented my with this in front of the bar manager who apologised and said he would sort it out. The plate was then brought back out with the same ingredients as previously presented all all that was cold at the bottom but with a tiny bit more cheese on. But where they used the same food and just reheated it, the sour cream had gone disgusting. Completely inedible. The mixed grill was just as bad, all the food came out cold but burnt, how do you manage that? The onions were missing. So when we asked about these, we received two small cold but yet still burnt onion rings. The stack burger was the best of the lot. Even though the bun was black inside and outside and the chips were cold. The meat inside the burger was ok. Would definitely not recommend eating here

Spent most of my time talking to Drilon who dealt with my needs most days… whether he was busy or not top bar staff

Walked in, greeted rudely and arrogantly and walked straight out again. No thanks, not wasting any time here

The place smells dirty and decor looks tired, the staff don't look happy and don't bother communicating with you just dump the meal and leave would not recommend this place to friends and family

Went in with the intention of dining there so went to sit at a table. Went up to the bar and was told to sit in the bar area because it was 10 past 9 and food stops at 9. Had just got my disabled husband settled so had to get him back in his wheelchair to move him. Went to the bar area only about 5 tables and there was a football match on. Had to take my husband in front of the tv in his wheelchair and was tutted at. We got a drink and we were chatting but not loudly so the football watchers asked staff to turn the tv up, which they did. Couldn’t really chat anymore and felt very unwelcome. Bought some crisps and one member of staff had to go and get a packet of cheese and onion and actually threw them at me on the counter. Appalling staff, 2 women who looked like they wanted to be anywhere else. Rang last orders bell at 9.30, couldn’t wait to get out of the place. Was going to go in for breakfast the next day but couldn’t face it so went elsewhere. Stayed at the Premier inn and staff were lovely and helpful, what a difference.

Booked a table at Exeter brewers fayre, we've eaten at many other brewers fayre before and quite like it. However, the Service was fairly questionable from the start. We arrived at 16.05 approx after sorting out car parking. Walked in to a practically empty restaurant. Went up to the bar. We were told, we're quiet so sit anywhere, so we did and then went up to the bar and waited a fairly long time to order which is fine.. We ordered 4 plates and waited. One plate came out, followed by two.. a smothered chicken and mixed grill. Still waiting for one.. and then we realised no chips on the smothered chicken. I questioned JOSH, the manager, where the other plates were and why we have no chips. He said 'chips were an option' and I had not specified. I said well it's on the menu and he argued but then eventually after I showed him the menu he went and got some chips for my wife. At this point we are still waiting for a second mixed grill. I went up again and asked a chef, who'd just come out of the kitchen, who went and checked. He came rushing out a minute later and apologised for the mess up. We waited a further 20 minutes ISH and josh bought it out and put it down. We asked if we were due anything as we'd all had to wait etc and my food had gone cold by now etc. to which he said "it was just held up in the kitchen, I can't exactly just give out discounts like that" and he then nonchalantly walks away, despite the fact that one of the chefs had just apologised for the mess up and said they had missed the ticket. We found josh to be less than bothered about service quality and at points, rude having had to go the manager and be a "Karen" type just to get the meal we ordered... I'm not one to make formal complaints normally but we all feel very hard done by having handed over circa £34 and £24 for our food that was late, incomplete and without service. This is also overlooking the fact hat here were ants crawling around the edges of the table.

Sunday lunch with friends restaurant was very quiet which was lovely as we could chat with no trouble especially as two of the guests were partially deaf Food was 😃

Chips only warm and soft in the centre. Double stack burger very small and greasy not as in picture. Served plain with a slice of cheese and a lettuce leaf. The coleslaw was nice. The table I was given was dirty , I had to wipe the rice off it myself.

The meal was lovely, we really enjoyed the food. Service was great too.

Breakfast greasy,due to supply issues no sausages!! Come on!! Helpful polite staff it was a plus to a very average breakfast.

Possibly the worst brewers fayre we've ever been too. Run out of a variety of items that were part of meals which were substituted for completely random items with no prior warning even with upgrades we'd specifically paid for. Came out cold afterlongwaits. Wasn't even busy (no surprises there) Staff unenthusiastic and couldn't care less. Kids ordered Sunday smash for dessert which they have regularly at other brewers fares and were well aware it didnt resemble what it should of. They received a dollop of strawberry ice cream each a completely different size from the next. No cream no strawberries no meringue. Given up by this point. I guess they just rely on stranded hotel guests and have no intention of providing any level of service

Came here for a breakfast on a very long journey after numerous motorway services could not satisfy our needs. As a vegan I struggle to find a place that can fully cater for me, however, this was not the case here. Tamera, an asset to the team assisted me on the make of the vegan items available and also pointed out the vegan items on the buffet. The vegan item me were cooked to perfection and was all yummy!

Lovely food, staff really friendly and lovely atmosphere

After dropping off a gift for a party that didn’t end up happening, the very lovely ladies in the restaurant kept the gifts safe for us until we could collect. We can’t thank them enough for all their help, amazing customer service and for keeping the gifts safe. 😊

We have always loved Brewers Fayre and have visited many around the country over the years. However, this time when we walked in, we were informed that many items on the menu were unavailable. We were given a sheet of paper listing all of the unavailable items, and by that time, we were beginning to wish we hadn’t come. Since we were staying in the Premier Inn next door, we decided to give it a go anyway. The food we had was not great, but what added to the bad experience was that a female staff member started vacuuming while we were still eating. We reported this to the reception.

The business manager should question why these stars have fallen, it should not be so difficult to make the customer's heart, unfortunately, although the food is good, the service lowers it. I think everyone should look after their own business, otherwise there will be no business. - As someone who has eaten at least 16 times and as a hotel customer; The same scrambled flavour is not always the same, the breakfast pleasure cannot always be the same when the same ratio does not hold. Supply time cannot be the busiest time, closing the kitchen is disrespectful to the customer. Giving a corkscrew to your regular customer does not harm you because you know that customer and you should act accordingly! If you clean the carpets on the way to the toilet, you will notice a clear odour difference. - A woman working alone during peak working hours, which one of them can catch up, staff ratios and density ratio are inverse. -The kitchen is the best tasting place in Exeter at a reasonable price, this is obvious, but you are throwing your labour away. - It is possible for this restaurant to say that I was full for a reasonable price, you have to respect that.

Booked breakfast whilst on route to Salcombe. Card reader not working which was not there fault. No orange juice, no black pudding as advertised and the breakfast was not really hot....sorry would not eat here again for breakfast.

Absolutely disgusting- walked on at 1pm and the restaurant was half empty. Asked for a table for four as we had driven from Swindon to meet a relative who has a life threatening illness and were told that the only people who could eat in the pub was people who were staying in the premier inn that evening. We pointed out that we had stayed the previous night but were still turned away by a very rude waitress who said she was the only person working (there was clearly two other people behind the bar). Asked to speak to the manager who also refused to let us in and was shocked that we asked for an email address for their head office and also refused to provide this. Have been using this premier inn/brewers Fayre for several months but will no longer do so

Had breakfast plenty of food but food only just warm and plate the same. Shame it spoils the food on offer.

Lack of staff had people queuing up waiting for tables and people ordering drinks all in the one que.

Have always had a lovely meal, this time our meal arrived and it was Luke warm & garlic bread was burnt Was taken back to kitchen. We were offered another meal but declined and had a refund. We were very disappointed

Came to brewers fayre for a birthday lunch, it was quiet and lacking atmosphere. Staff were fairly friendly, ordered our food. It came out the chips were clearly over cooked and cold, the smothered chicken was cold and the slice of garlic bread was burnt and cold. No salad no peas and no colour on the plate. The table numbers are pieces of paper sellotaped to the table and coming away with dirt and grime, with sticky tables. Absolutely awful, drink and pudding was OK though

Dropped friends off at nearby hotel and waited, nice decor, elusive staff, but seemed to appear with others food, apart from this dodgy not see anyone

When I got the food I’d ordered, I thought they had given me a kids meal as there was hardly any food on my plate. Would not recommend this place to anyone!! If I could give no stars, I would.

It was extremely busy and Mark and Aaron were very capable and efficient.Excellent service .its a pity you are so short staffed. I hope you appreciate these guys.

Got to say the Exeter premier inn was very busy, but aaron and Mark was exceptional in their work ethic,and attentative to our needs. We had a large party for dinner,and was looked after extremely well.we will recommend this premier inn ,and will return again later this year. Well done both to Aaron and Mark!!

We are staying in the Premier Inn so using Brewers fayre for meeting with family. We were a big party of 16 people and there was only one till working with only three staff visible to serve the whole pub. The lad MARK serving at the till worked non stop and was very patient and polite. Also ARRON serving our table was again patient and polite. They both were very apologetic, rather than feel annoyed with the lack of staff etc I felt they worked so hard they deserved a medal and this should be noted. MARK and ARRON Well done

We were greeted at the door and welcomed . Brad was on hand during our meal, he was funny, helpful and friendly towards us all. When ordering our desserts we were helped to ensure my granddaughters choice didn't contain peanuts. They even went boh to check with the chef . Really impressed from beginning to end. Lovely team of guys. Really greatful as it was a treat out . Thank you

We moved tables three times as it was cold. There were fans scattered around , clearly there was a problem. One of us had macaroni bites ....sooo over fried and dark brown. The ribs and chicken was ok. In the morning breakfast was quite good with a nice selection . Would go back for breakfast but go somewhere else for an evening meal.

We were served by Mark and had great service, all the staff are very friendly. The food is consistently good and there is always a pleasant atmosphere. .

Been here many of times and never had a bad experiance the staff are friendly and welcoming there is one memeber of staff called Mark is hardworking and will always make sure after a busy breakfast service the restaruant is clean and tidy nothing feels like to much trouble he is very friendly and will help with everything food is lovely never had a bad meal from here.

I really loved the experience today that I had a lovely conversation with a lad called Mark and they place was very clean and tidy today at lunch time and he said that he loves working there and that’s the atmosphere there was the best for staff and customers and I do agree with him 100%.

Really awful experience. Went here for the Premier inn breakfast after a night's stay. The place is just awful looking, so old and dirty. Hardly any food out but before we could try and get something, the fire alarm went off, to be fair to staff, it was not planned but it was the most disorganised fire evacuation I have ever seen, no staff were telling customers where to go so people were floating around the car park whilst staff stood at the meeting point. Got back in to be told by one member of staff that fresh breakfast food would be coming out so we waited......only to then see about 15 mins later the cook started packing away! I asked if there was no more food coming and he spoke to me incredibly rudely, telling me abruptly that breakfast was over and no more food was put out. He was incredibly rude to me. Only giving 1 star as 1 staff member (I think the manager) gave us a refund and we left. Will not be returning here again. And do not recommend anyone going.

Waited an hour for a table, so went back to the hotel and came back. Seemed like I was then putting the waitress out by asking for a table. When I sat down she said “order your food and drinks at the bar, enjoy the queue!” What a dump!

Great place for us as a go to, to grab a late lunch or early tea. The heating was broken when we arrived there but free hot drinks and a heater was aimed at us after we sat down. Will return lovely staff

I stayed at the premier Inn next door and used this for food every night. Food was poor for a brewers fayre. Wouldn't say the atmosphere was great either. Have ate at several brewers fayre and this is by far the poorest of them all. Would suggest domino's opposite for food

The food was amazing. Sausages at breakfast were some of the best I've ever had

It was a quiet time of year but the staff were very friendly. The food was tasty and reasonably priced.

We arrived on the 17th of December for my brother birthday we were very happy bat first, they had decorated the table for my brothers birthday. When we entered we were told to order at the bar. As we went up to the bar the lady behind there was very lovely. When we asked about cocktails we were told they couldn’t serve them till 5 because she wasn’t trained to do them and wasn’t normally on the floor. We hadn’t been told they were out of anything either so when went up the bar this lovely lady had to tell us multiple things that we wanted just weren’t available. Also to mention the car carvary was supposed to be till 6 didn’t see anything up there. We left shortly after this very disappointing. I’ve visited quite a few of these restaurants and this has to be the worst one.

As you would expect, food was great, as was the service. It wasn't very busy, which was a bonus as we didn't have to wait for a table. 🙃

I literally used this place as a bed for the night, so I can only comment on that side . Room was clean and tidy, bed was comfy and the shower had got water . So from that point of view, it was great 😇

Mains really enjoyed, desserts didn't taste of anything which is disappointing. Also not the cleanest restaurant. In need of deep clean for example food in recess behind bench seating and black gunk on radiator from hand dryer.

Pretty quiet when we arrived. Food took a while as they were short staffed. But was good when arrived.
