Caffè Nero in Exeter

A special treat of delicious coffee, while meeting friends. The food is nice too.

Best of the 2 neros on the high street, nice vibe and hardworking staff, seemingly let down by management as there is never enough of them. As a result no time for washing up and regularly serve in take away cups, which is bad for the environment and not what I want when drinking in.

Door broken, banging every time it is closing, glass likely to shatter one day !!

The food, drinks and facilities are as you'd expect from a chain, but the friendly and welcoming staff make it worth visiting.

Best Nero's in town. Great pastries, cakes and coffee. Friendly and fast service.

This coffee house has the feeling of a fast food chain, service gave me whiplash, although coffee was good, the servers were like robots and no atmosphere really, I felt rushed, there wasn't even a queue, don't deliver to the table and you have to wait for the shout to pick up your food.

Our FAVE coffee shop - Coffee is always delicious and the team there are top tier!!!! They always nail the perfect coffee order. They are happy and always acknowledge us regulars.

Coffee was all but good. Mine tasted well outside my liking range. Tables were left carelessly with all the leftovers from previous customers. The waitress could have been kinder....There are better ways, in my opinion, to interact with paying customers. The front door didn't close well. The business hours shown at the front door were wrong. Negative experience. I didn't like the experience.

By far and away the best Coconut Cappuccino and Almond Croissant of 2024. I am a massive fan of the house blend at Nero which tastes really good with alternative milks. I recommend this newer Nero as the staff are attentive to each customer from what we observed.

This particular Café Nero is in the main shopping street of Exeter. As usual the coffee was really good. Of all the chains I find that Nero is the one I enjoy most. There was a reasonable choice of cakes. The atmosphere was cosy and comfortable. What was outstanding was the service. I was moving from a loyalty card to the App. The Barista who served me could not have been more friendly or helpful. I shall be returning whenever I visit Exeter

Toilets filthy ! Notice in toilets to put used toilet paper in toilet and not on the floor!! Really? Milk spilt on stairs. Cappuccino hadn’t seen a coffee bean.

We needed a warm drink and a cake, good coffee and cake, service was good and friendly, atmosphere wasn't up to much as the place seemed to be full of students doing course work.

absolutely lovely service as always and i highly commend the barista team who kept their cool while being loudly verbally berated by a customer who was clearly in the wrong and couldn't figure out how to act in a public space. it was disgraceful how he was acting and the baristas handled the situation amazingly.

Stopped here on Saturday 25 November 2023. It was very busy, given Black Friday weekend shopping. The staff were all super efficient however and were doing an excellent job of getting through huge queues whilst keeping the place pretty spotless. Good service and great drinks. Keep up the good work.

Friendly staff, comfortable and homely seating and atmosphere, phone and laptop charging points, and upstairs seating area, toilets, and the icing on the cake..books to dip into!
