The best restaurants in Exeter South West

When in toby carvery this afternoon fancied some food from the menu, must say the service from Brandon when ordering was impeccable.

We visited for a roast and so, so glad we did. Absolutely incredible food, the pub is gorgeous and so cosy and the staff were so friendly. The atmosphere was really lovely too. Definitely a top spot for a roast in the South West, will be back very soon!

Super friendly staff serving hot tasty food at great prices on a busy NYE. Great portion sizes too! We'll be back to try the carvery - my first visit but the other half age children been many times and I can see why!

AVOID AT ALL COST - if you want food After booking a table for 4 on Monday 22nd Aug for brunch we arrived to be told sorry, the waitress had sent back the wrong card machine and they were closed. We rebooked for Tuesday 23rd Aug arrived again after parking in town for 2 days, to be told, sorry we have no water today. We have closed the kitchen. You can imagine my disappointment 2 days on the trott, what a way to run a business. The manager was basically saying tough there is nothing I can do about it. Terrible attitude rude and no help what so ever. Good luck if you go for food.

Been going to tommys since i was a school boy. Just good honest fish and chips at a great price. Lovely staff who always remember u and have nice things to say. Good portions and in my view the best chippy chips on exeter

Lovely restaurant, with the added bonus of a car park. Three of us had lunch here today; staff were, as always, helpful and friendly. I just wish we had a Nandos in Torquay and I didn't have to travel 25 + miles each time I wanted to eat there.

Spring rolls looked good but were tasteless. Pork balls were overcooked so much that the batter was hard. Crispy chilli beef was inedible and burnt, really disgusting. Egg f rice was fine, prawn crackers were fine and actually a generous portion. Service was fine, price was reasonable. Definitely Won’t be eating here again however!!

This has been the best Chinese in Exeter consistently for many years. Not only is the food always great but so are the delivery times, service and prices. They always make the effort to tell you how long the delivery will be and it is always shorter. Crispy chili beef is the best.

Went there last night spent 29.99 and 19.99 worth of it went in the bin chicken was horrible chips disgusting nhavd been trying to find a phone number or a website so I czn talk to someone to try and complain and get some recompense as I've got my receipt and feel cheeted
