I have to say how good the Staff They are always happy Never hear Any bad comments My & My dad go here alot I am Disabled So cant carry my Food I ask a Lady Called Charlotte when we got there can we sit near the carvery she said theres not a lot of table I told her why as I can Not carry my food my dads 82 with a stick she said no problem get your food and I will look out for you honest she was right be hide me Not only taken my food to the table she went back to get my dads and carried his What A Wounderfull person CHARLOTTE thank you it really hard when your disabled everyone NEEDS A CHARLTTE

I spent a few hours at the Toby Carvery in Exeter and would definitely return. In fact I have returned with family since. I was served by Tia and she gave me all the information I needed for my meal, drinks etc. She was friendly, patient and made my dining experience enjoyable. It was extremely busy but she was only too happy to help me and also other customers. I will be returning soon and would highly recommend people to visit.

It was decided to have a funeral wake in the Rydon’s suite at the Exeter Toby as it was my Aunties favourite place to eat. Following one simple phone call we received an excellent level of service all stress removed. Following the service guests were supplied with copious amounts of Tea/coffee or a bar service should they wish. The food that came out was exceptional & plentiful. Many thanks to Tia for providing such a service in difficult circumstances.

Food was delicious, and our waitress Scarlett was an absolute delight! She was a pleasure when taking our order and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent service, lovely meal

There’s always a warm welcome from Villy when we come here. Her customer service is outstanding and she always ensures our fussy orders are correct. The food was tasty hit the spot- I practically inhaled it.

I stayed in this Toby carvery for two nights. At first, my room allocated was a few doors from the entrance to the hotel. When I walked into the hallway. All I could smell was the deep smell of cigarettes smoke which also permeated into the room. Not being happy with the smell of this accommodation, I requested at Reception that they change my room due to the fact they seem to have accommodated me into a corridor for smokers! I was informed that there is no smoking in the hotel, but people were, which surprised me. The entrance to the accommodation had a cigarette bin provided right outside the ONLY entrance door to the hotel accommodation. I would assume that people were using the area for smoking, and probably when it got cold they would go inside the corridor.

Great experience, the food was good and to be expected for a buffet style breakfast. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

I was served by the lively chantelle. She was very friendly and welcoming. I don't drink alcohol and she was very knowledgeable about the non alcoholic options available to me. Didn't feel forgotten about at any point despite it being busy

Came for a birthday and there where 10 of us. We were served by a lady called sumer who was very helpful, polite, welcoming and went above and beyond to help. For a young lady she had a great work attitude. The food was lovely and great value.

We went to our local Toby to have a pint and our favourite dessert being the profiteroles. We were told our favourite dessert is no longer on the menu!!?? We cant believe it. It was the best dessert on the menu. We are so disappointed with Toby.

Given nice welcome. Prompt attention for drinks order which we appreciated as we had been walking nearly 4 miles. Food is always good , great choice of veg and I love the potato/ veg bakes and the choice varies from week to week . I have enjoyed those that I’ve tasted. Excellent service from Claire. This is always a good place to come. We make a beeline for this when we are in the area .

So waited 15 minutes to be seated, nobody came. Went to the bar and waited a further 20 minutes before eventually being served! Went for carvery, no chef there and hardly any food. Chef turns up, meat rock hard along with the potatoes they eventually brought out. Literally nobody around to complaint too, oh and the people waiting to be seated, was still there when I came back from getting my food. Management need sacking here

Excellent service & roasts! The carvery was absolutely perfect with my favourite beef dripping roasties to the yorkie and gravy. The staff go above and beyond especially Claire! Serving drinks, welfare checks and taking orders and a warm welcome. Very great environment and I highly recommend for food with a warm welcome.
