AVOID AT ALL COST - if you want food After booking a table for 4 on Monday 22nd Aug for brunch we arrived to be told sorry, the waitress had sent back the wrong card machine and they were closed. We rebooked for Tuesday 23rd Aug arrived again after parking in town for 2 days, to be told, sorry we have no water today. We have closed the kitchen. You can imagine my disappointment 2 days on the trott, what a way to run a business. The manager was basically saying tough there is nothing I can do about it. Terrible attitude rude and no help what so ever. Good luck if you go for food.

Called in for a late lunch. The croque madame ordered came out as a croque monsieur and the waitress asked if she should replace it? She took it away. Meantime my friend ate her sandwich which was ok while I waited ... And waited for a good 12 minutes for the egg to be placed on the croque. The egg was hard and the rest was cold. My friend had long finished her lunch. The iced coffee was not well made. No one came to us to pay for this poor service so we went to the till. There was a queue for takeaway coffee so we has to wait until someone noticed us. The bill was almost £30! It was not itemised so we have no idea what we were paying for but it was not worth £30! Did they add a hefty service charge for this poor service? While we were there it was not busy but customers at 2 other tables were served incorrect orders by the same waitress ...

Excellent service and great food. Staff where all very friendly. Marika the chef come and made sure we where all OK and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended 👌

Went with a friend who was treating me. Ordered full English breakfast because lunch menu was unavailable. My bacon was dry & over cooked, tomatoes were uncooked, sausage was cold, baked beans also cold. No side plate to butter & cut two large slices of bread. To top it all the waitress addressed the customers at the next table as “you guys”. Understaffed and a hopeless cook. Greggs would have been a better choice.

Pooped in as the cakes looked lush in the window. We ended up ordering cream tea. The tea itself was a nice brew but the scone had been warmed but they didn’t tell me. I cut the scone added the cream then jam only to find the inside was actually warm and it melted the cream. Melted cream tastes gone off. I didn’t eat it! We’re not ones to cause a scene and when paying the bill I did mention it to the young lad and he said well that’s how they come and still charged me!

The food was reasonable although there was a long wait. I appreciate this might have been due to staff shortages and/or the time of day I was there … it was reasonably busy. The young woman who served me was polite, friendly and efficient (I think her name was Mathilda). However, I observed the manager as challenging and snappy with her when she asked how long before my meal would be served. I did not experience the manager as approachable or helpful. Would I go again? Probably not.

Popped in again for the second time ( Tuesday ) and my time here is always so good, everyone is so nice! So chatty and I over heard the blonde manager I believe fully chatting to one of the lady’s asking about her cake, what her favourite was and it was just really nice to see, the one with the glasses is also very nice ! Good little team x

The full issue is Waiting 5 minutes for a table Waited 10 minutes for order to to be taken Waited 20 minutes fùor drinks Another 10 minutes on top for the food I was with my wife and two children and I had watched 2 tables walk out as they been waiting 30 minute plus for food. We was told by the server the reason is because of the rain, they got busy with takeaways, so does that mean us that are sitting down are just taking the seats to look busy but yet the staff do not care about us.. food all over the floor and seats and tables diety Your afternoon tea for £34.99 is a joke. We been to your Exeter branch many times but this has to be a wind up. You scones are smaller then before and you finger sandwiches are disgusting. I have attached a couple pictures but were do I begin? You filling have changed for the worst going. Your chicken pesto was just a thin bit of chicken and 5x the amount of pesto needed for that over powering flavor. The prosciutto and rocket, well where do I begain with this one but see attached pictures. Dry and looks like like it had be sitting under a couple of gastro trays as it been flatted and the rocket was slimey you can clearly see in the picture the rocket was off. I wad told by Sofie the manager she could not deal with a food Complaint and I had to email in as per company procedure. The 3 coconut milk hot chocolate where luke warm and it the kids food was cold and disgusting. We were told by the manager who could deal with the food Complaints and please email as is your menu and you got it wrong she said!. The fact you gone down in size with less on the plate for the same price is a Joke I wad told by Sofie the manager she could not deal with a food Complaint and I had to email in as per company. The email she wrote down don't work snd I just don't think she gave a crap.

I felt the need to write about my experience that I was subject too upon my first and final trip to the establishment in Exeter. I had recently purchased a groupon deal which was to have a cream tea in one of the establishments. Upon arrival at the Exeter establishment I was greeted by a female staff member informing me I should of booked! I did explain that the voucher from groupon stated I didn’t need to book! The staff member stated we would have to wait 20 minutes as other tables were reserved. I stated not a problem. We were shown to a table in the middle of the cafe. it was the worse table one could sit at as there was left over food from previous customers and I faced a fire exit as a view! The very grumpy member of staff asked for our preference in drinks to which we gave our order. One hot chocolate, one black coffee . 20 minutes later we were presented with a high tea to which I informed miss grumpy our order was for a cream tea. Staff member not happy she got it wrong . We were then presented with a cold , stale hard scone each which hadn’t been heated and tasted stale . We were then presented with the wrong drinks ! The was only one other table being used so it’s appalling that a drinks order and food order can be messed up. I really think they need to retrain the staff reference customer care because there is NONE at this Exeter establishment. I won’t ever be returning there and I won’t be recommending this establishment in Exeter to any of my friends!

We have been frequent visitors to this restaurant. Fabulous experience, usually. Arrived to see the dining area empty and a sign saying no food after 2.30pm. We arrived at 2.35pm. Pleasant staff explained. No doubt they can't or don't want to get kitchen staff. So now this is simply a take away cake shop. Since it's recent difficulties, it looks like it should simply end the business. Exeter, all round is looking very sad. It was mid week, but it did look like a ghost town.

I came in on Tuesday and everyone was so lovely! Nice little team they have there, the manager I believe she was very polite and chatty, made us feel comfortable. Nice coffee too. Would definitely return

Me and my wife visited and used the buy a gift voucher for an afternoon tea. The whole experience totally exceeded my expectations. The food was great, we had so much to eat. Drinks were made really well and the customer service was brilliant. Couldn't of asked for better service. Was a really nice touch to get the 4 cake slices to take away aswell. Would definitely return.

Went in today , and had a really lovely time in their cafe. We got a afternoon tea for two , it was deliscious , they have a new one we were told for the spring time and apparently a new menu. Sandwiches were on point deliscious variety so fragrant and bright , my favourite were the chicken and pesto ones! Cakes and scones were great too! My friend that was with us got the chicken and bacon baguette, she really enjoyed that and said she would have it again! Also the service was good , was busy but we were very well looked after. Thank you patisserie Valerie for a lovely experience today! You made our day even better! See you soon!

I came in on Monday 28th and everyone was so lovely especially the blonde girl and young lad, polite, friendly and quick service! Honestly don’t know what all these bad reviews are about.

Well where do I start?!!. I suggested we go Patisserie Valerie Exeter as I had previously been there a few years ago for a afternoon tea, which was lovely, unfortunately I cannot say the same for this visit!. Upon arrival we were shown to our table, after about 30 minutes a member of staff asked for our orders, 3 light bite lunches, 2 teas and a coffee. We received our drinks after another 30 minutes but still didn't receive our food. Time ticked by until we asked another member of staff how much longer would our food be, which was met by confusion by the staff. They hadn't sent the order upstairs to the cook/kitchen, so our food wasn't even being prepared!. To our disgust they tried to make excuses by saying they'd come over previously to let us know about our order, which they absolutely did not!. The communication between the staff was non existent!, which was very apparent with the "passing the buck" Kind of attitude. People that were arriving after us, a few up to 40 minutes after we arrived were being served their food and drinks and leaving, before we even saw any of our order! After nearly 2 hours we finally received our food but not the other drinks they had promised us that would be "straight with us"..... We had to ask! Yet again!. The food wasn't up to much, in fact my baguette was rock hard and so I left it. Finally we'd had enough and left!. On our way out I purchased 3 takeaway cakes which I thought they could have given me as some sort of consolation for the horrendous afternoon lunch we just went through, but no, nothing. Rude and such unprofessional staff, no apologies, if anything it was like we were causing them an inconvenience. I'd forgive some of the issues of they were run off their feet but no they were not. I certainly won't be going again anytime soon! That's for sure!.

Lovely breakfast this morning, clean and tidy inside. Served in good time, delicious fresh coffee and a prompt breakfast. Free customer WiFi so I was able to use the tablet whilst visiting. Served by Annabel, great positive attitude with a friendly smile!

Hemos estado varias veces antes para el (anteriormente) fantástico té de la tarde, pero claramente redujeron los costos y no el precio, simplemente no vale la pena. Los pasteles ahora son del tipo que se compran a granel o del congelador, a diferencia de las rebanadas pequeñas de los pasteles principales a la venta. Los sándwiches han perdido todos los sabores interesantes y valiosos que eran tan buenos la última vez: si el pepino simple, el pollo deshidratado y el hummus y la pimienta sin brillo son para usted, vaya aquí. Todas las cosas que lo hacían genial (cestas de mermelada para elegir, mini quiches calientes, una gran selección de té) han desaparecido. Paramos allí para almorzar. El menú era bueno, había una buena selección. Pedí huevos escalfados sobre tostadas. Mi esposo desayunó y mi hija un sándwich abierto con papas fritas.Después de 40 minutos, los huevos míos y de mi esposo eran como balas. No estaban goteando. Tampoco hacía mucho calor. Mi tostada fue dura junto con las papas fritas de mi hija que no eran comestibles. Ella dijo que su pan también era duro. Fue una mala comida.La camarera nos preguntó si todo estaba bien al final de la comida. Le respondí que no era realmente y que no era tanto una queja sino una respuesta honesta a su pregunta.De todos modos llegó el gerente. Lamentablemente, no tenía grandes habilidades de servicio al cliente. Ella nos ofreció pastel gratis a lo que rechazamos. No quería explotar el negocio, les expliqué que solo quería darles una retroalimentación honesta.Lamentablemente, no volveremos. Solíamos ir mucho allí cuando íbamos a Exeter. Somos lugareños, pero el café en comparación con hace 12 MTHS se ha ido cuesta abajo.

El servicio lento tardó más de 30 minutos en ser servido. Called in for morning coffee on a day trip to Exeter. Was toD to take a seat and someone will be with you in a bit. Sat and waited. Nothing. Went to the restroom, joined queue behind 2 other customers returned to table and still had not even been given a menu! Walked out as they did not deserve my business.

I have visited patisserie Valerie’s many times in the past and always thought of the food as of excellent standard. On a trip to Exeter today having not been for at least eight months I was looking forward to another visit. However, unfortunately today I was left disappointed and dissatisfied, the food was not of the normal standard and it appeared to me as if costs and corners were trying to be cut. Is the business in financial trouble? To pay £10 for a ceaser salad that was seriously lack lustre (that I have had before and been extremely satisfied with ) was very disappointing to say the least, cost is not an issue if the food is of standard and quality. My daughters meal was of equal lack lustre. Go back to the standards of old. As it stands this loyal fan will not be back.

Cuando se les pidió que se mudaran, se les dijo que noCon actitudes como esta, manténgase alejado de gastar su dinero donde será tratado adecuadamente y tenga comida caliente. Nos quejamos de la parte fría de la comida y se la llevaron y la trajeron fresca pero no pudimos comerla. Estoy seguro de que el café tenía buenas razones para el mal servicio, pero cualquier chef que envíe basura debe ser atendido

We went for a late lunch while Christmas shopping as Patisserie Valerie usually offers great savoury dishes as well as cakes.The maître d' was lovely and found us a table but it was downhill after that. I get that it was busy so we expected service to be slow. The young waitress seemed very nervous and spilled our drinks in the saucers. No napkins to clean up with. When our food arrived after a very long wait we had to ask for cutlery.The eggs Florentine has always been really good here and a safe bet but this was awful! Basically it comprised of two hard boiled eggs on toast with spinach and a hollandaise sauce that I can only describe as tasting 'old'. Like it had come out of a jar that had been open for a while. There was no sense of food having been cooked or presented with care, just slung out.I sent it back and we won't be going again. What a pity that this brand has gone so far downhill.

My husband and I went to this cafe in the first week of December for the coffee and cake at 1 PM. It was very busy, but the hostess did find a table for us and gave us a menu. Despite they didn’t have a board with the names of the cakes and prices ( that’s odd!), we decided what we want just by looking at the window ( it wasn’t a great choice though!). And we started patiently waiting to be served. The hostess took the order in about 5 minutes, and ... nothing has happened within the next 20 minutes! And this was for the coffee and cakes only !!! The staff didn’t look too busy at all, but ignored us. We were so bored ! I decided to go to the lavatory- I wish I didn’t! It was one toilet for males and females, with no paper towels, dirty floor and cheap hand wash filled with water !.. I was totally gutted. We called the hostess after 20 minutes of waiting and told her we are not wasting our time any more in this place and left. They lost two customers for good !

Despite the service being of high quality (staff were very kind and professional) the food was quite expensive for what it was and it wasn’t very warm. I had the toasted BLT but would have been more full if I had a BLT meal deal from Tesco. There is a lot of potential as there is a variety of brunch items on the menu but it didn’t meet my standards. Would not be in a hurry to go back again.

My friend and I visited Exeter yesterday, and for lunch she fancied an omelette. We ordered 2 omelettes at about 12.50 thinking they would be quite quick. By half past one nothing had appeared. On asking the waitress how much longer we had to wait, she went and checked, came back and told us another 10 minutes. The very uninspiring meals arrived at 13.45. My omelette, a ham and cheese was overcooked, the ham dry and the 2 slices of cheese weren't even melted. The 'salad' accompaniment was a handful of boring lettuce leaves chucked on the side. I most definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant or visit it again!!

We decided to go here for a hot chocolate and cake. The cake was delicious, but the table we sat at was dirty, there was no music so it was really quiet and there was no atmosphere. The floor was filthy, and underneath the stairs it was full of rubbish. The place just feels dated. Disappointing.

This place used to be my favourite Cafe in town as they genuinely had the best coffee and the cakes were amazing in looks and volume! I even remember it being very busy back in the day as well. Nowadays delete all that a mentioned above as the brand is no longer the same(SADLY). Even the pictures of the products on trip advisor are not the same products anymore.. false advertising on Tripadviser’s part.

I used to love going here but it has definitely gone downhill. The ambience has changed for the worse. We ordered peppermint tea and a flat white, a custard tart and a pecan and walnut tart. Shortly afterwards we were advised that neither cake was available and we settled for 2 scones. The drinks arrived but no scones. The waiting staff, apart from a girl with dark hair and a foreign accent who was very attentive, were poor at touching tables and it took some time for us to attract their attention to chase the scones. When they arrived they were doughy and stodgy - not pleasant at all. We won’t be back.

In a nearly empty restaraunt we ordered and then waited what felt like a long time before our order finally arrived. In the meantime, we had been asked by three other members of staff if we would like to order something. When something arrived, the fizzy water chosen by one of us was the flat version. The other guest ordered a millefleurs but she received a custard slice - no sign of the characteristic cream.

We called in for lunch and opted for savoury rather than sweet. We both had sandwiches, BLT and roast chicken and both were delicious, obviously freshly made accompanied with salad. Service was excellent and we were well looked after by Yousef who was friendly, helpful and efficient. We’ll certainly return now we know that the savouries are as good as the sweets!

I took my daughter to stay in Exeter for a birthday treat. On the Saturday we called in to Patisserie Valerie for some refreshments. The place was obviously busy and the staff were dashing around. At our table I felt the staff kept asking us if we were ready to order before we we were and when our order did arrive the waitress seemed to dump our drinks (two chocolates in tall cups that wobbled as they didn't fit the saucers properly) and cakes on the table. We thought the cakes were ok but then in almost my last mouthful I found a lump of green plastic. When I complained to a member of staff who seemed to be in charge I was told that she was very sorry for it but there was nothing they could do as it wasn't their fault as the cakes are not made on the premises but brought in.

I always have lunch at Patisserie Valerie when I visit Exeter. It’s comfortable with a bit of old world charm. The staff are always efficient and friendly. Yesterday was no exception.

Enjoyed eggs benedict and coffee with vanilla cheesecake fo follow. All fresh and delicious. Comfortable enviroment with old-fashioned charm. Reminded me of Dellers in the fifties.

We came on a Wednesday afternoon and two items were missed off of our order, it took twenty minutes to receive one of our drinks and the two eclairs eaten by two members of the family were extremely disappointing - firstly they were not told they were coffee eclairs and not chocolate, they were very small and squashed and really dry pastry.

Have always enjoyed PV but they have recently halved the size of their cakes with no reduction in price. Now sadly represents very poor value for money. I will not return

Just had afternoon tea for two with my husband....Waiters very attentive...great service.Fabulous afternoon tea and unlimited drinks,what a bargain!!Sandwiches fresh and tasty,lovely quiche and amazing cakes....loved it

We have been regulars in Exeter but we won't be going back.The cakes are so small now it's quite ridiculous.I'm quite aware of the difficulties which PV has been experiencing but this can't be the answer!

We were out for a nice cream tea and ended up in the Patisserie Valerie. The price for a cream tea for two seemed reasonable but there was just one tiny scone per person and a small jar of jam for two. The clotted cream was delicious, though...

Food nothing special. Service however was very good. The two gentlemen and one lady working on the day I ate here were welcoming, friendly and efficient. I hope they are recognised as such by their managers. Rating for service alone.

They serve delicious de calf coffee here ( reckon the best inExeter). The service is excellent. Toilets. Nice and clean . It’s a great place to meet up with someone business or social .

I came here for the amazing value afternoon tea for two. The sandwiches were delicious and freshly made, the cakes were fabulous and there were generous helpings of jam and cream. The loose leaf tea was flavoursome and well made, and the waiters were pleasant and very attentive.

This place is a little expensive but service is great and the cakes delicious , we had the cheesecake and a pot of tea for two . The afternoon teas being bought out looked lovely .

Day trip , had afternoon tea which they serve from lunch time we had 4 different finger sandwiches, 2scones each with jam and clotted cream, 6small cakes and unlimited cups of coffee all for £20 . Good value and very enjoyable.

Stopped at the Patisserie Valerie for a pot of tea and received a very warm welcome from the staff, it was very busy for a Saturday afternoon but managed to be seated. We decided to partake in one of their very vast tempting cakes and definitely worth every penny they were absolutely delicious and massive in size, was not sure if I could eat it all but eventually managed it. We will definitely return here on our next visit, highly recommend this cafe, but we will try the afternoon tea for two next time.

Went to the Exeter store with several friends. They sat us quite quickly and were really lovely staff, cant fault them there. We ordered our food and drinks and they brought them over in a good time. I had a lovely frothy Latte which tasted lovely. I ordered the lemon cheesecake however and was left really disappointed. I was expecting a lovely creamy cheesecake that melted in the mouth with a good crunchy base what I got was cheesecake jelly.. it had so much gelatine in it you could bounce a spoon off the top so it was relatively unpleasant texture in the mouth and lacking a good lemon flavour as well. First visit too and probably my last. Wont be rushing to revisit.

I along with my friend visited Patisserie Valerie today. The restaurant is located at the heart of High Street in City Center. The first impression of the restaurant will be the delicious looking cakes, muffins, pastries etc. which are displayed at the counter and windows. Those will temp you enough to pay a visit to the restaurant. Next comes the ambiance. There is a certain aura of calmness in here and the ambiance is great. The interiors are excellent.

We opted for Afternoon Tea after many recommendations so we booked in for Saturday lunchtime. The staff was so polite and welcoming, they couldnt do enough for you. We was asked if there was anything on the Afternoon Tea menu that we didnt like and they would substitute it but we was happy with what they was offering. Hot drinks was included in the price of £20 for 2 people plus we had some water too. We didnt wait long for the food and when it arrived we couldnt wait to tuck in.

Simply excellent! Favourite place in Exeter for breakfast and afternoon tea. Service is always friendly and welcoming.

Recommended for breakfast. Warm welcome and service couldn't be bettered. Avocado I have never had before so decided to try it on toast, and found it was very tasteless, wouldn't have it again, but many people like it and everything else was cooked and presented very well. Overall a very pleasant, clean and nice place to go with excellent staff.

Lovely spread and friendly service. Bought as a present for our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed.

Very good. Couldn't fault the food really. Beautifully presented and tasty and fresh. The gentleman waiter was excellent, the old school properly trained type who made sure we were looked after and everything tickety boo. Well worth it.

I.d booked for an Afternoon Tea,on being seated then we were served coffee,after a while the afternoon tea was served,it looked lovely,but the sandwiches had very little taste,the scones were so hard I could not cut them,so I took them back to the young lady,no comment from her, after a while a fresh plate of scones ,these were OK the little cakes were fine,but there is no service in as much as you are given your table,they do not come back and ask if everything is alright and you have to ask for a second cup of coffee, not my idea of a nice afternoon out with good food,they should train their staff to at least make the customer feel welcome,I won,t be going back and this is a shame,it was suppose to be a lovely gift from my neice,but it just felt that it was to much bother for the staff, and this with the food not being good,does not bold well for further customers,something needs to be done.

Went with my daughter to use my voucher,didn't book a table but only had to wait a few minutes to be seated,and was at a very busy time lunch time,staff were amazing and friendly and on point,food was quick and delicious, lovely surroundings

we went to exeter for a shopping trip and call in for a meal one of the staff showed us to a table we had a lovely meal and was asked if our meal was ok which it was and we both had a cake the staff was polite and I left a tip because of the way they treated us very clean would go back again and again

My husband wanted a cup of tea a mind cake so this beautiful little cafe is perfectly situated right next to the guildhall.

Pleasant staff and a good choice of cakes/ tarlets. Friend had a very good tarte tatin. My warmed fruit scone was very fresh and tasty. Decor a bit dull and lighting did not help. No decaffeinated tea. Strange for a cafe. Even most pubs now serve decaf tea. But the Darjeeling we had to have was refreshing. Prices higher than other similar outlets.

This is our first visit to a Patisserie Valerie in Exeter ,,,how lovely this place is !

Had brunch here today and it was so busy the manager struggled to get us a table, we sat on a couple of low chairs but as soon as a table free he moved us, changing an item on the menu wasn't a problem , meal arrived beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were attentive and cheerful , the whole experience was so pleasant I would definitely recommend a visit.

We are fans of Patisserie Valerie and Exeter branch lived up to our expectations. The welcome was warm and friendly, the restaurant clean and the food quality high. The Croque Monsieur was particularly yummy. Prices were reasonable, better still with the benefit of the Barclays Premier free hot drink offer.

Perfect end to a romantic day out, so glad my beautiful wife suggested this place. Great food, friendly staff - will come back again, thank you.

I visited here with a family member as a pre-birthday meal, I asked if they did Mushrooms on toast and was told they did so that's what I ordered my relative ordered hers our drinks came and were very nice, then our order came, the toast was on the plate and the Mushrooms were in a pot on the side, after buttering the toast I put some of the Mushrooms on the toast they were just warm! The waiter came over and asked if everything was ok? I said that the food could have been hotter so he said he would replace it, which he did. When it was returned to me the pot that the Mushrooms was in was very hot and the contents was slightly better but not really hot hot! It was not a cheap meal! We had to ask for condiments and sauce which wasn't a good start to the meal. As this is mainly a cake shop and they do very nice cakes they should stick to that and not do 'hot' meals. Will I go again not for anything cooked I certainly will not!

Me and a friend stopped for coffee and cake on a Saturday morning,it was busy but we were seated very quickly,thankfully we had a lovely young English waiter who had a little banter with us,our coffee was great and the cake was even better,will visit again for sure as the gentlemen’s omelette next to us looked lovely so that might be my next choice

Visited on Friday afternoon, around 3pm ish. Had a flat white and a latte. A scone (warm with butter and jam) and a chocolate eclair. All were pleasant enough. Coffee was nice and tasty. We actually went there to buy some cakes to take away but there weren't many left so we didnt, not their fault at all...we just didn't realise that it was quite so late in the day. Our bill was £11.95 make of that what you will. The staff were nice and friendly. Over all I would recommend it.

Just had a family visit here for a birthday treat. The food was average at best. Considering we only had sandwiches, cakes and salad it took 45 minutes to come. It all arrived at different times. The cakes for the cream tea arrived 30 minutes after the tea so they couldn’t be enjoyed together.

What’s not to like about this place? Friendly staff who can make a decent coffee, and a large selection of gorgeous cakes. Fantastic, whether you eat in or take away.

We treated ourselves to a Birthday afternoon tea, which was very nice and we enjoyed it, BUT last year we went there before, and that time the scones were double the size of this visit, and last time the cream was double the amount of this time, we were very disappointed, yes it was nice, but to be honest I will think twice about going there again, which is a pity as the place is very nice, but perhaps they have cut down as its summer....!! Just a thought...!

Made use of a groupon deal today. Great choice of food and a very tasty brunch. Service was very good. We were impressed with how quickly we were served despite it being quite busy. To top it all off, we were presented with a couple of free cakes to make up for the fact they had run out of butter for out toast. Thank you!

We visited here today for the first time due to a good Groupon offer, we were politely greeted and seated and a menu handed to us, when the server returned we explained we had the Groupon deal and he the took our order(Brunch Breakfast), the coffee arrived within a few minutes and the food around 10 minutes later, we were told that they had run out of butter(for the toast) and that they would bring it over when it arrived from wherever they went to get some.

Just had a cream tea at Patisserie Valerie Exeter and I have to say just how fantastic it was. The Scones were perfect, tasted awesome and were served “fresh from the oven”. We were served by Ashley, he was so friendly, polite and his service style was top notch, a true asset to any business. Thank you, we will definitely be back for more and will be telling all our friends and family too!!!!!!!

Afternoon tea at Patisserie Valerie is something every couple should treat themselves to.

Schön, dass es neben den ganzen systemgastronomischen Kaffee-Ketten wie Starbucks & Co. auch noch kleine Cafés mit selbstgemachten Kuchen und Torten gibt. Die Patisserie Valerie in Exeter ist eines davon. Nach einem Besuch der Kathedrale nur zu empfehlen.

The staff were very attentive but both my milk jug and teacup were dirty. I had chocolate gateaux but the cream appeared like it had sat around a little too long and was looking a little crusty and although I'm sure it was fresh, it didn't look that nice. ' Did try to get someone's attention but they were quite busy so I didn't bother.

We have not eaten in at PV but have bought various of their delights to eat later. Sometimes service is a little slow but that is probably more down to customers not being able to make up their mind when they finally get to make their choice from the tempting array of cakes, tarts and other forms of patisserie. Whatever the choice, we have never been disappointed and neither will you.

Fabulous my sister and I enjoyed a afternoon tea, the service was superb, very pleasant atmosphere.

Went for lunch today staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you, food was lovely just a shame I am on a training diet otherwise I would of had a big massive cake as they all look lovely my little boy started to get bored and started to winge think its the manager or owner brought a little cake to give to him which kept him busy till we had eaten really nice of him would defo recomend to anyone lovely place il be going back

Nice coffee shop but the really great thing about this place is that you can get a box and take some patisserie home with you as well.
