IKEA in Exeter

Love it. Funny part is people say they make cheap furniture that won't last, but all my IKEA stuff last longer than the stuff I get at other stores.

This place was great the meatballs and food was ok

this ikea is so bad. there was this one old lady that yelled at my 2 children that were sitting in the chairs and spinning and she yelled at them to get out her “her store” and to never come back and threatened to call the cops and security. i just drove them back home and they we very upset. please fire her now!

The truth is very disappointed in the service! I make a purchase of furniture and a day before, after waiting 15 days for shipping and having paid, they tell me that it is canceled because there is no stock! That is to say, they sold me a product that does not exist, they do not have a clear production projection and I must wait for the money to be returned. Besides, I had already gone to the physical store and there was no, I waited for online availability and then they canceled me. The truth is that lack of respect for the client is perhaps a game of luck??? If there is no availability, I will not sell it...I must know what the installed capacity is to produce and sell.

In-store purchase process and products are all right. Room styles are wonderful and inspiring, only that the real exit is very difficult to navigate and reach. There's a few other exits but they are only for emergency use. Online order with delivery by RXO SUCKS A LOT. They came outside the scheduled time window, did not call, and did not wait at all. I heard the ring and went to the front door and they were already gone. And guess what, 2 out of the 3 items I ordered were missing. Online customer service handled the matter swiftly, but let's wait and see how the replacement delivery is. Edit 1: The 1 item actually delivered was damaged, what a joke! Reducing from 3 stars to 2 stars for now. Again, the online customer service was good. The damaged item was scheduled to be picked up on Wednesday, but FedEX came on Tuesday. Let's see how the replacement item is.

I was scared by negative reviews but since I read reviews after I placed an online order, I decided to wait and see what happens. I never had a bad experience with IKEA delivery, so I held a big hope for this time delivery as well. I am glad I did not canceled my order. It was delivered on time with an excellent condition of the desk.

Was overcharged for the sale item, was charged regular price. Contacted the store- rude and unprofessional. No supervisor available other words the store is unsupervised. Now I have to travel back one hour to return the item. Poor job! Unprofessional!

This is a paradise for home decor lovers! Great place to spend almost an entire day, get ideas for interior decor, and have some pocket-friendly meals. They didn't have a good selection of espresso cups though.

very very very poor service, Store location at 1 Ikea way, Stoughton MA 02072, Store associate massed up my purchase I wish I could give zero star but there is no option for that. They should know how many numbers of packages the item has if customer has to pickup from picking service inside the store. First they give me one box less than actual number of boxes. Then I have to called customer service to resolve this issue they open a ticket and told me that they will ship the missing box to my address which is in Maine from the store and send the order to the store and told me that I will get tracking number of shipment to track but no update even after waiting more than a week, Second I had to wait more than a week without any update, so I called again then customer representative told me they process your order and told me that I have to pick up from the location (1 Ikea way, Stoughton MA 02072) which is 3-4 hour drive from my location this is so ridiculous. So I told them that I suppose to get it delivered my address so they said that ok let me transfer it to store to help you with the order but they hand up on me, so I called like 8 time but no success, I am still missing the part of purchase no solution at all. very very poor customer service.

Hello all, I was in IKEA for some returns today. Since I went there earlier (10 am) it took me about 20-25 min wait for my turn. IKEA return policy is one year from the initial purchase. As long as you have the receipt they will take back even the entire thing is built(damaged is not included though) You do not have to take it apart. If you don’t like it after your initial build you can still return it to the store. I am sharing this because I had a nice chitchat with the employee at the return desk who was super helpful.

Do not shop with them you will regret it, if I could I would give them zero stars. Customer service is below par, whole story below it's long as they made mistake at every step of the order. - 08/20: placed order online for a couch for delivery on 08/30. Order got cancelled on 08/29 because this item was not available. I had taken a day off work. - 09/04: order is back in stock so placed order for it to be delivered between 8am and 1pm on 09/16 by RXO. Drivers were supposed to call 45min before arrival and then on arrival. No phone call boxes dumped in front of my building in the street at 6pm while at work. Boxes are of a 300lbs couch. - Next day (boxes spent 1 night outside) after many hours on the phone with RXO and Ikea, got confirmed that drivers are coming today. Called RXO 3 different times to confirm, everyone say "yesterday they are coming". Nobody came. 2nd night outside. - No contact from Ikea but a phone call from RXO asking me if the drivers can come for the boxes on 09/16 so 10 days later... Got fined by condo association $50 for boxing being left outside and informed that I will be fine $50 a day from now on. Called Ikea and rep suggested a hire someone and Ikea will refund. $200 later boxes are inside (i moved to this country 2 months ago for work and do not know anyone who could help so had to pay). Was offered $100 gift card and delivery fee refund. - Couch is being assembled and there is a missing piece, calling Ikea telling them it's urgent as couch was ordered for my mom arriving a few days later. Ikea confirmed they will sent the missing piece before 10/01. Couple of days later order is cancelled for no reason. Had to spend 2 hours again on the phone with Ikea. 09/30: Item will arrive on 10/01. Ikea refunded the original delivery fee, said they send the gift card by mail but I have not so they had to create another case. Refus to reimburse the condo association fee of $50 and $200 for professional helpers to bring theirs boxes inside the room of my choice. We aer now 1 month later, $250 minus on my account, 0 gift card and the couch/ sleeper is still unusable. Do not use the chat out is useless. People on the phone have 0 compassion and line automatically drops when the issue becomes too complicated. Used Ikea for 20 years in Europe never had these issues or this level of unprofessionalism. Never again will I shop at Ikea

The delivery experience fell short of expectations. Despite the promise of a 30-minute advance notification, I received no communication prior to the delivery. More concerningly, the wrong item was delivered - a sofa instead of the bookshelf I had ordered. This mix-up caused inconvenience and wasted time. While mistakes can happen, better communication could have prevented or quickly resolved these issues. I hope IKEA can improve their delivery process, especially in terms of pre-delivery notifications and order accuracy checks

Do not check out by self-scan if you don't want to be treated like thieves. We bought two plastic bins without lid, and that triggers the system, and it asked for the staff to check our scan. The lady staff asked to fully scan every item, which we agreed. However, she did not erase our scanned items, but just added everything again to our items, which doubled the price from ~$180 to $360. We told her the amount is not right, but she just behave like we are lying, and asked us to go to the cashier and left while checking her phone. We had to wait in the line again for the cashier, and the final price was around $180. She is absolutely not doing her jobs and not understanding how to treat her customers, hope other people be aware of what you are paying for.

IKEA used to be an outstanding store for furniture and household items of good quality at good price with long warranty, or -alternatively- very cheap, but with still acceptable quality. These days its only the second, alas..

Terrible delivery service through RXO. Spent two months trying to get a delivery, but they'd continually call and text to confirm a date, then no-show and expect me to spend an hour on the phone to reschedule it. No effort made at all to tell me why or reschedule when they no-showed. Missed four days of work and still never got our stuff. Then they said it would take weeks to refund, and refused to take back the 1/5th of the order that actually arrived through a better carrier. Now I'm stuck with a useless part of a shelf, down money and down time. Never shopping here again if they care so little.

It's an IKEA. It does the job. If you don't show up during busy times there is a minimal line. They did implement a self checkout so prepare to do your own scanning. Delivery and click&collect online order pick up are helpful (but make sure to read the measurements for the packages you order and that they fit in your car) . I think Ikea family members get free parcel shipping on small (n size) orders over $50

Have called 7-8 times to customer service but only hear that my case has high prority. For me high priority is 2-3 days, not more than a month for solving a problem that thry caused. I just have started contact with my lawyers. Never will be back again.

I purchased a bedroom dresser over a month ago. It was delivered damaged. I have been waiting since then only to be told after countless call and emails verifying a delivery today that now the item is out of stock after just being told by Ashley that it was on a truck for delivery. Deceptive practices all around. I would not recommend every doing business with them!

Went on a weekend for some shopping at IKEA. We first had good food for lunch there which was simple yet delicious. Fish, garlic toast, and plant based meatballs are definitely a must try! Then, we headed to shop. We specifically went to see if we could find nice "stainless steel" dishes here for the kitchen but I didn't find things great in that section and the prices were way high in that area. The "plants" were great here. I had no plan of buying them but found beautiful plants here. I got 5 big plants and they're just lovely! Other shopping were all random picks but was good day out at IKEA.

I love visiting IKEA but sometime it’s not always convenient to make the drive. This time around I decided to try their online services. I was pleased with the ease of ordering through their website and the efficiency with their delivery. 5/5

IKEA's delivery service is the worst! They rescheduled my order four times already, and it's been a month! And they don't even bother to explain why.

Tried buying a mattress and bedframe for delivery. The carrier just didn't deliver and didn't send me an email update. I called IKEA 5 days later to ask what's going on, and the operator made me wait on the phone while she waited to talk to the carrier - no option to call back or send an email. 30 min later, she said I could get it 2 wks later with no assurance it would be delivered this time. I ended up just canceling the order. So frustrating.

They are often out of stuff, like a Soviet store. But you can have great lunch for cheap and when you do get the furniture, the value can't be beat.

I see one reviewer below has complained they waited 15 minutes to be served. I only wish we could claim the same; in fact it was exactly 42 minutes from the point we joined the queue to being served yesterday - 2nd September @ 18:05hrs. There were two serving points and both queues were moving at a similar snail's pace! This was not the fault of the two under pressure servers who were working, totally unsupported as fast as they could on their own (there are normally two members of staff serving at each service point). Hats off to our server Bemi who still managed a smile and a genuine apology for keeping us waiting. It would appear that Ikea's restaurant prices and customer service are heading in opposite directions. Come on Exeter Ikea Senior Management, it's time to stop promoting the new points based 'gimmicks' you keep emailing about and refocus on the basics - supporting your hardworking staff, genuine customer service and value for money pricing! Det är inte raketvetenskap!

Seems there is always something new to see. And, something you are hunting for that turns out to be on sale! Found several candles without jars...hard to find. I love candles but detest all the jars/containers that eventually end up in recycle or landfill. Am pleased when I find three wick...free standing candles! Yeah IKEA!!

The best place in the whole wide world! My wife enjoys going there for her household needs and I drive her there. Peaceful day since I just have to agree to all the products, color, prices and assemble as soon as it arrives. Strongly recommend to all married men.

I had a bad experience with an Ikea shipment, idk where to put my complaint so I'm placing it here. Ikea uses this delivery company called RXO which stands for Really Xerrible Operations because they messed up my delivery on two separate occasions. First, some of my items were missing upon delivery, so I contacted (which was busy -- wait times are perpetually longer than normal). After I got that sorted, the 2nd delivery did not arrive for four days after the scheduled date (and the tracking number didn't work) so I contacted customer support. Got it sorted, new delivery date. Finally, my furniture arrived, and you won't believe it, but as i opened the box, a torrent of spiders came rushing out of the opening in the box that I had created with a knife. Spiders were suddenly crawling all over my apartment and getting in every crevice and hole. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I will not be buying furniture from Ikea again if their warehouses are full of cobwebs. I found a spider in my toaster this morning

I called multiple time on the project IKEA card and when I told him my problem, they hang up on me And they do late payment on my credit score and there Website wasn’t working probably to make my payment when I call them. They hung up on my face multiple time. And they just want to take my credit card number. They are refusing to help me do it online by my own self.

I like going to the cafe after perusing the store.

I couldn't even sit on a chair and look at a monitor for sale without getting yelled at by an employee. This to me is not the place to go.

I like IKEA and I always buy their products. I bought some items from their store in Boston. I want their personaly to check the items. I bought them and paid extra money to do shipments. Upon checking them at home, I noticed they don’t fit my home. I didn’t open any items. I called their call center and asked about the options of returning these items. IKEA agent told me that I can do it through a label and a courier will ship it back. Unfortunately this didn’t happen. I called again and they told me it was a mistake from their agent and they can’t provide label and I have to return it physically to their store. I asked if I can speak to their supervisor to express my frustrations and find solutions. They took my number and advised he will call back. I never received a call from them after waiting for so many days !

Very tuff place to shop and not much help around the store not a good visit but got what I went for but very tuff to put together

The restaurant has to be the slowest in the IKEA chain globally. The wait time is slow slow, it was 15 minutes from the time you got to the first set of food/drink cabinets - in fact it’s so slow that there wasn’t even a person at the register because they didn’t need to whilst people waited for the sloths behind the baymaries to serve the food, one meatball at a time. If you’re happy standing in a queue for 40+ minutes, then this is right up your alley. Service is so slow, I thought I saw Gordon Ramsey and his crew filming kitchen nightmares!

If your looking for useful good looking furniture or any other household items at a reasonable price this is your place. They have everything including lunch, actually I have gone just to have lunch, it's really good and inexpensive with a cafeteria style vibe. The store is a giant wearhouse with 2 floors. The top floor has rooms that are setup so you can see what your house can look like. It's fun but follow the arrows or you can get lost in the maze of bedding and dishes.

There is lots of remodeling going on in the store. I was disappointed that I didn't get to see everything.

I like the style in the showroom! Clean and elegant. The things in the mall are not expensive and there are many useful gadgets. Come and take a look often😁

Store is set up to maximize your stress as a shopper and manipulate you into buying things, horrible design. Not to mention, I bought a table light only for it to shatter before even making it out of the box (yes, we were careful).

Despite being in the middle of a remodel, I was very impressed with the selection, layout/presentation of the products and with the price! And the food was good too. Recommended.

Customer service at the return area is the best employees at Ikea. Floor staff is very rude, lacks knowledge, and you can't find them anywhere when you need them. Prices are expensive for the cheap products that you are buying.

Delivery was an absolute nightmare, would give 0 stars if it was an option. They rescheduled 3 times, that’s 3 days I had to either take days off work or ask relatives to wait around in my apartment the whole day. When it finally did come a month late, they went to the wrong address and were late even that day. In addition, when my 60 year old mother-in-law met them at the lobby to escort the drivers up to the apartment for the “in-home delivery” IKEA guarantees, they left the king size mattress with her in the lobby insisting she could handle it, even after she told them it was too heavy for her. Absolutely pathetic and sickening experience, will not be conducting business with IKEA Stoughton under any future circumstances and I encourage you to spare yourself the headache

I brought my Grandkids with me today, to IKEA to purchase some kitchen ware and I paid for it with cash and then we walked over to the food court to order on the screen hotdogs, ice cream, drinks and Ikea's famous cinnamon buns only to find out that IKEA food court doesn't accept Cash and so, we left Ikea and drove over to Costco and brought from their food court pizza, hotdogs, drinks and their famous ice crean sundaes and paid for it with Cash.

They had me waiting in 90 degrees heat for 30 minutes.very unprofessional delivery service rude and lazy. I’m done with this Swedish company.

Ordered closet system on June 6th. Three separate delivery windows missed. Three phone calls to customer service on hold for 30 or more minutes. July 9th order cancelled by IKEA without explanation. July 12th still waiting for refund. Huge company poor customer service! No more IKEA for us!

Much of the showroom is under construction.

I bought a loft bed which was delivered to my home. The instructions that came with it skipped a few steps so it took me over 6 hours to assemble the bed because I had to take it apart 2x. Some of the rails were pretty scratched up and one of them was bent. The stuff is very cheap and not at all worth what I paid for it.

Currently they are doing major renovations, which are supposed to be completed by the end of July 2024. But because of the construction, lots of good sales.

Store is a bit of a mess and hard to navigate due to construction but staff was helpful.

If you have a small area in your home that needs a cabinet or shelves or even furniture, IKEA just might have what you are looking for with very reasonable prices. Furniture, linens, kid items, and even a spot to sit and have a nice lunch for a reasonable price.

Came to look at shelves and bought over $200 of other stuff instead. Its super confusing but hopefully will be easier to navigate after the remodel. .... currently, the Store is a 1 way maze, & i accidently grabbed the floor model chair cushion so didn't get to buy it? Lol... ok.... I got lost several times and had 2 other people even ask me how to exit the store. I hated the store but the stuff I got I like

Their delivery companies are unreliable and inconsistent. They can't find an address in the middle of Boston. Got us stuck at home waiting for them for two weekends in a row... we paid for fast delivery and still waiting for our furniture to be delivered two weeks later. Will ask for a refund

I have no issues with Ikea products, but the store layout and management really can use some improvement. I understand the store is going through renovations and parts of the store were closed off, but I ran into quite a number of issues: - Couldn't find 13" white Drona bins even though it says in-stock. There was nobody in the Home Organization section to help find them. Associates in the cashier area only sent us back to go look for them ourselves. - Couldn't find the Pyssla beads even though it also says in-stock. Asked multiple associates who could not tell me where they were. When we found a display one, we were told we couldn't buy it, period. - When looking at their sleeper sofa, there were no instructions telling customers to order it there. We ended up getting sent back from the checkout cashier. Just to order the sofa from somebody there.

Pretty good ikea store! Huge selection, friendly staff, lots of parking, convenient location. A few small nitpicks which are holding me back from giving 5 stars: -> the menu in the cafeteria has an image of the meatball plate showing 12 meatballs. But when I ordered the meal it only came with 8 meatballs :( -> the store was under construction when I visited, so most of the upper showroom level has limited selection

Terrible experience at IKEA. We have spent a lot of money here on furniture, we bought a couch and bought the wrong color cover. We’ve waited about 3 months for the color we wanted to be in stock, we messaged with chat online, set up alerts, everything. Finally we get the heads up it’s back and we place a pickup order (it was too small for delivery). I drive an hour out to pick it up during my pickup window, wait 20 minutes for them to go back and get it, and they come back to tell me it’s out of stock and the best they can do is store credit. I asked if there was anyway for me to get the product I paid for and the answer was no. What a terrible way to do business. I guess you really can’t place online order with them because it doesn’t guarantee you get what you pay for and spend time to go get.

Great store and easy to get lost in the aisles, but following the arrows on the floor got me to checkout eventually and with a full cart! Unfortunately there was only one cashier checking out customers and lines had formed on both the service and self-service. It could bave been because the store was about time for closing and people were exiting the store (more of a reason to have more checkout lines) Overall a pleasant experience

Order arrived without half of the itmes: I canceled the order (how can I use a table without the top part!). Ikea did not refund the assembly service, which could not be performed without all parts.

Checkouts chronically understaffed - there is never anyone to check you out at the pantry past the checkouts. They stopped selling Daim candy and are often out of things like gravy for the meatballs. Prices have also gone way up.

Plenty of parking spots to choose from, and it was a great ikea experience. There were a few areas that were undergoing renovations, but all of the showrooms and items were still available to view. The meatballs were great as always! I highly recommend using the ikea app in conjunction with grabbing your furniture boxes, just in case you realize that what you were attempting to buy won’t fit in your car. The app has all of the boxes dimensions so you can plan ahead to see what will/won’t fit before you get your hopes up. The loading area was a life saver so we didn’t have to push our cart through the parking garage, and it seemed like most people used those spots for its intended use.

Ikea's kind of crazy in the best of times. The store is very organized, and has to be because of the flood of humanity that washes up at its doors. The addition of self-service check out served to make it easier to finish the visit. The foods area has been trimmed down; do they even have a cashier now? I think it's just self serve kiosks, with huge touch screens. On our May 2024 visit, there was some major refurbishing going on.

I had such hard time putting together the closet I bought they left it by the door I live in the 3 apt the delivers putted by the door of the building I had to take to my apartment it was so heavy they have no helper to put the peace’s of the closet together it such bad experience

First visit to IKEA. Great Swedish Meat Balls at cafeteria. IKEA is a huge store & has a large, clean parking garage & EV units are available. Love the variety of reasonably priced household items. The major negative for me is you have to go through entire store to exit. What an annoying maze w/ so many doors marked employees only

I love this store but it’s a little much. It’s crazy big and you need to find the clear path out. Thankfully they have an awesome cafeteria to chill in just when you hit the breaking point. After lunch, yes, more shopping. Be sure to check out the live plants before the checkouts. I’d not noticed them before. I bought one and she is killing it! Healthiest plant in my house and I have quite a few. I wish I’d bought more. Guess I’ll be going back. They have a great selection of plant pots too! The 5 I got are already gone. Don’t forget to get Swedish meatballs and loganberry jam to go. I brought a cold bag. Skip the mashed potatoes, you can do better, faster. They were out of gravy again. I made a recipe from the internet that said it was the same; it was just meh. I bought some Pioneer sausage gravy to try next. Seems like a weird combo but there’s pork in the meatballs and they make excellent gravy.

This rating is partly due to the fact I hate being trapped in a store and forced to walk through the whole thing rather than just go straight to the item I want. I should t need to be funneled through in order to buy a single item

Tucked away in the back of a long road with other businesses, this Ikea is very large. It has plenty of parking under a garage like structure and is easy to navigate. The store itself is very clean and welcoming. I always enjoy seeing the items set up and assembled. The food court is also very good offering a wide variety of foods for a furniture store. Ikea is definitely iconic.

Need more people at the registers! The showroom is being renovated. Missed out on a lot of room decor, office furniture. Was looking forward to more choices not less! Out of stock on items and we Punched in our zip code for delivery options and they don’t deliver to us

I recently visited Ikea in Stoughton and had an extremely unpleasant encounter with one of their salespeople “Laurie”. Despite being a potential customer, I was met with rudeness, disrespect, and humiliation. Such behavior is unacceptable in any professional setting which makes me feel unwelcome and as if she’s firing me. I hope the management takes appropriate action to ensure that other customers do not have to endure similar treatment.Worst service ever. I never met such a rude and impolite person like her . Laurie the lady that she works in the closet section which is supposed to be friendly and help people to find their need . I told her pls my due date is soon i need to do a closet for the nursery i was very respectful and patient however she kept humiliating me and engaged in a mocking behavior.

This Ikea is by far the worst I have ever been to. They cancelled 95% of my delivery without informing me. When I called to ask what happened, they just told me to go back to the Ikea store so they can reschedule it. Also, they were out of stock on something and they told me they were just going to refund my order. This is after the fact that I had called about the item 2 days after they said they would deliver it. After going through the hassle of calling them and getting clarification, the delivery team had no explanation for their delay. If they had said "we are running behind but we will get to you as soon as possible" or something along those lines then it would have been fine. Instead they said "your order is delayed we will not be able to deliver it today". When we asked Ikea to reimburse us for this inconvenience, they said they would give me a $60 gift card and waive the delivery fee. They must think their customers can not read because delivery was free since we spent well over the amount for free delivery. For anyone in the area, it would be best to not go to this Ikea. Get furnishing from a store that will have better customer service.

Helpful, good selection. Only thing I do not like is having to walk through all displays to exit the store.

Recently bought King Size Malm Bed Frame with Storage. It was delivered today. When we opened the box we noticed IKEA sent us USED PRODUCT. I guess IKEA has some dignity and work ethic issues.

Stopped in to grab some odds and ends for my apartment. On the way out grabbed a large selection of food that never disappoints. Full meal for a fraction of a price anywhere else

This place is huge! Be prepared to walk for hours lol Totally fun shopping adventure!

This place is so much fun to shop at and they have great prices. Cafe food is a bonus and yummm.
