Update! Complaint! This visit to the restaurant was horrible, the gravy reminded a soup, all the food was completely unsalted cold and tasteless, very bad fries and everything, the employee spoke no English and couldn't understand what we wanted, and all this on Valentine's day. We came especially for the restaurant, and this time was a disaster! We even threw half of it away! I usually like IKEA, though the recent times their prices are less and less attractive. I also don't like the fact that you have to go alllll through the store to go out, even if you just came to eat. I understant it is marketing, but they should change it, it is forcing people just to walk additional 20 minutes just to go out of the store.

I don't know what else to say except IKEA is always awesome. We have a very rambunctious toddler and we love to bring him to explore all the exhibits. Don't get me wrong, they have great furniture and well priced living pieces, but we typically go there as a family trip to help expend energy from the small Energizer bunny. We have gotten some corner shelves there which are awesome and fit perfectly in the office area. As well as a few other IKEA furniture hacks we used back in the day before standing desks went mainstream.

Like any IKEA, the layout can be a bit of a maze, and finding the way out isn’t always straightforward. The products are great, and the prices are reasonable, but the self-service system can make things feel a little complicated at times. The entrance is also a bit tricky to find. Overall, a good place for stylish and affordable furniture, just takes some patience to navigate.

We received a damaged MALM bed headboard (queen size) in our Order #469334491 and visited the Ikea Stoughton store in order to get a replacement. Ms. Marie-Claude impressed us with her dedication to all customers in line, great work efficiency and remarkable attention to details. Ms. Marie-Claude went above and beyond to help us replace the damaged bed headboard. From the moment we reached out for assistance, Ms. Marie-Claude was attentive, patient, and incredibly resourceful to help us identify the correct package number (The damaged package was mislabeled). Not only did Ms. Marie-Claude quickly locate the correct package number, but she also communicated with her teams to ensure that all the necessary pieces were available for the replacement and documented the case with great efficiency and details. Ms. Marie-Claude also helped us moving all the heavy items all by herself and checked the availability of our replacement a couple of times whenever there is no customer waiting in the queue. Ms. Marie-Claude's professionalism and dedication to resolving the issue made the entire process smooth and stress-free. We are truly grateful for her excellent customer service quality and support. We want to thank Ms. Marie-Claude for making our Ikea experience a great one!

Very unhappy with my most recent experience. Will never utilize their delivery option again. Please get a new delivery company! Ordered a bed frame with a headboard at the end of November. Bed frame was delivered on 12/6/24. Headboard was due to be delivered on 12/12/24. Here we are 1/6/25, and I've yet to receive the item. The delivery driver came to my house on 12/12/24, texted me, called me, but didn't leave the package. Bed frame didn't require anyone be home for delivery, headboard shouldn't have either. I've called IKEA at minimum 7 times, got my delivery rescheduled 4 times - 12/16 (but customer support never actually scheduled it), 12/26, 12/30, 1/3 - but then on 1/2/25, RXO decided to cancel the delivery and are adamant that they don't have the item anymore (not sure where it went since it was on the truck!). They're blaming IKEA, but IKEA is blaming RXO. Spoke to 4 different people at RXO today (got hung up on once, transferred to IKEA 3 times), and then the women I spoke to at IKEA said the item is out of stock until at least 2/9/25. My only two options were to wait it out and hope RXO can actually get it to my house, or take the refund and reorder it in February, and again, hope RXO can get it delivered. Over 2 months for a delivery is just insane. While most of my interactions with IKEA & RXO were negative, I will say that the women, Rupal, I spoke with today was helpful, and I truly did appreciate the work that she did. Additionally, I would like to appreciate a gentlemen named Rob, who went above and beyond to try to solve the issue last week, and who gave me his email address, so I could follow up, which I have also done.

It’s a nice store with good prices (got a great desk and chair for less than $100 each) but during my visit today something was happening in the bistro and as a result the fire alarm was blaring for something like 15 minutes straight throughout the entire complex and then finally it stopped before starting yet AGAIN for another 15 minutes. They kept saying things on the PA about what was going on and no one could hear what the person was saying l just caught them saying code 1000 in the bistro or something which meant to me that someone had been burning Swedish meatballs in the bistro or something 😜. There was obviously no fire but the alarm was unbelievably loud and they probably lost tons of purchases today as a result. The other thing is the sheer size of the store is unbelievable but with that comes a very small amount of employees to go with it and it seems like IKEA relies on self checkout and kiosks for a lot of tasks which is fine but the lines at checkout were LONG (I’m talking around the corner). almost all checkout lanes were closed on a Monday at 5pm and what was left was self checkout which seemed intentional

It’s Embarrassing that Amazon’s AI is More attentive and better at customer service. “Marie” at customer service, Put more effort in verifying my order than selling me a few replacement part. i was told to come In She Scans my membership card is able to see order history and receipt. Yet still needs to see a receipt to sell some replacement parts, ok no problem. She then turns around and looks for the boards and planks in a bin filled with bolts and screws. Tells it’s not in the small bin, nor thinks they do that because it comes with the order. After politely telling her again they have 8 In stock I was told to come in. I give up 15-20 minutes later she calles me wondering if I was looking for a wooden board really? I reminded her of what she told me and hang up. No dealing with her or ikea again. 1. Why even have a customer service if they can’t actually look or ask anyone else? 2. Why so many levels or verification just to sell a replacement parts. When your stuff is so flimsy?

Save your time and money don't go here for cabinets or kitchens. We made an appointment and drove 3 hours to go get some consulting regarding a custom cabinets we wanted to purchase for our fireplace./living room area. They didn't have what we were looking for in the living room area so we opted for the kitchen section because the quality of cabinets were just better. When we arrive at our appointment We waited over an hour for someone to speak to us and when we finally did the representative was completely dismissive and said everyone has an appointment she assigned us to a staff member in the kitchen department that basically walked us through their entire kitchen section telling us details we already knew. But what we really wanted was to design cabinets for our fireplace on the computer and put in an order for the items we wanted. After walking through the store when we finally got to the area where the staff could help us design our cabinets the host that was rude to us initially pulled the staff that was helping us to another appointment leaving us at the computer alone with zero guidance. Another staff member became available she made Zero eye contact with us because it was obvious she didn't want to help us and said she was off to lunch. We wasted 3 hours in the store no one helped us until we got up frustrated and left empty handed. We could have went to another cabinet place and paid a little more and saved the time and effort it took to drive down there empty handed. I will not come back to place. Kitchen department is a complete shit show.Do better and honor appointments made in advance.

The store is the same as in Europe. After Covid, the restaurant only operates with one line. We were there in the summer and the dessert shelf was empty. We told the cashier about this, she shouted to someone, and after a while the desserts appeared. This time there were no forks. They told the cashier again, she shouted to someone. We waited ten minutes. I went to look for the manager. The distribution workers responded that they did not have a manager. One of them said that we couldn't wait ten minutes. I took the receipt and showed him the time of payment, and then the time on the clock. I saw how employees of IKEA restaurants work in Europe. Everything is clear, fast, the entire range of dishes is available...cutlery, cups, etc. And here somehow everything changed for the worse...

I am an IKEA customer or I was because I just had a terrible experience, I have decided to change my sofa for the second time because they are very hard and uncomfortable, I returned the first one with 3 days to go before the year was up and then I bought another one because I have always liked their furniture and I have their furniture all over my house, we decided to change the sofa 6 months and 8 days later and they tell me that they can't take it because the 6 months have passed or only 8 days have passed, I asked to speak to a manager and she wasn't much help until I asked to speak to the store manager (KYLE) and he told me that I couldn't be changing my furniture every year just because I don't like it and I think that's a problem of taste and comfort, I begged her if I could make an exception and she said no that they gave me the exception with the first sofa I bought, which was not an exception because they took it and didn't say anything to me, I left with watery eyes and very disappointed, I traveled an hour and a half to get there, assemble and disassemble everything, THANK YOU KYLE, it was a very bad experience that you put me through, which made me understand that you could take it but you didn't feel like doing it, not even out of humanity. It wasn't very nice to see the associates and managers look at each other and say that they agreed that they wouldn't accept the product from me. I'm Latina and I couldn't express myself well in English. I think the exception is a question of whether the customer likes you. But they just lost a customer.

I will never never ever shop at Ikea again , there is no customer help ,ask two works for some assistance with a dresser , to put in my car , one of them said ,there is someone outside just ask nicely they will help and said there not there to help their there just for the carts,finally I got to the register to pay I decided to ask the cashier how can I get some help to put in my car ,she said you have to bring your car around down stairs ,my car was near the entrance ,I just left the item there and left ,after walking in a maze trying to get out of there ,asking for directions how to get out of store twice non of these workers gave a good direction ,finally I found one person who who gave us a good direction which I remember his name .I’m all set I will it set a foot in there again

This IKEA store is NOT like the many others I have visited - in CA, IL, NJ, NY and CT. This store lists items as in stock on the web site, while they are actually unavailable when we get there. That's a total waste of time for us because we need to drive almost an hour just to get there. This happened to us more than once. Its funky organization is inconsistent with other IKEA stores. Lastly, from our experience, the process of returns and exchanges is a massive hassle. It is slow, cumbersome. You get asked questions that make you feel uncomfortable, especially when returning a newly purchased item because you noticed you paid higher than the in-store advertised price. As big of an IKEA fan as I am, this store does not live up to my expectations.

Possibly the worst customer experience ever encountered Waited in all day for delivery to turn up and it never arrived and nobody in the store or in customer services can give me an explanation as to why There is no way of contacting the store to ask the question as to why it didn’t get delivered, you have to speak to a faceless person who just reads from a script and if the customers dares to express any frustration whatsoever they terminate the call And the. They have the bare face cheek to send a text message asking for positive feedback What a joke!!!!! And to top it off after the worst experience they offer compensation of a £20 voucher that can only be spent with them 😂😂😂 as if I will be doing that

The truth is very disappointed in the service! I make a purchase of furniture and a day before, after waiting 15 days for shipping and having paid, they tell me that it is canceled because there is no stock! That is to say, they sold me a product that does not exist, they do not have a clear production projection and I must wait for the money to be returned. Besides, I had already gone to the physical store and there was no, I waited for online availability and then they canceled me. The truth is that lack of respect for the client is perhaps a game of luck??? If there is no availability, I will not sell it...I must know what the installed capacity is to produce and sell.

In-store purchase process and products are all right. Room styles are wonderful and inspiring, only that the real exit is very difficult to navigate and reach. There's a few other exits but they are only for emergency use. Online order with delivery by RXO SUCKS A LOT. They came outside the scheduled time window, did not call, and did not wait at all. I heard the ring and went to the front door and they were already gone. And guess what, 2 out of the 3 items I ordered were missing. Online customer service handled the matter swiftly, but let's wait and see how the replacement delivery is. Edit 1: The 1 item actually delivered was damaged, what a joke! Reducing from 3 stars to 2 stars for now. Again, the online customer service was good. The damaged item was scheduled to be picked up on Wednesday, but FedEX came on Tuesday. Let's see how the replacement item is.

very very very poor service, Store location at 1 Ikea way, Stoughton MA 02072, Store associate massed up my purchase I wish I could give zero star but there is no option for that. They should know how many numbers of packages the item has if customer has to pickup from picking service inside the store. First they give me one box less than actual number of boxes. Then I have to called customer service to resolve this issue they open a ticket and told me that they will ship the missing box to my address which is in Maine from the store and send the order to the store and told me that I will get tracking number of shipment to track but no update even after waiting more than a week, Second I had to wait more than a week without any update, so I called again then customer representative told me they process your order and told me that I have to pick up from the location (1 Ikea way, Stoughton MA 02072) which is 3-4 hour drive from my location this is so ridiculous. So I told them that I suppose to get it delivered my address so they said that ok let me transfer it to store to help you with the order but they hand up on me, so I called like 8 time but no success, I am still missing the part of purchase no solution at all. very very poor customer service.

Hello all, I was in IKEA for some returns today. Since I went there earlier (10 am) it took me about 20-25 min wait for my turn. IKEA return policy is one year from the initial purchase. As long as you have the receipt they will take back even the entire thing is built(damaged is not included though) You do not have to take it apart. If you don’t like it after your initial build you can still return it to the store. I am sharing this because I had a nice chitchat with the employee at the return desk who was super helpful.

The delivery experience fell short of expectations. Despite the promise of a 30-minute advance notification, I received no communication prior to the delivery. More concerningly, the wrong item was delivered - a sofa instead of the bookshelf I had ordered. This mix-up caused inconvenience and wasted time. While mistakes can happen, better communication could have prevented or quickly resolved these issues. I hope IKEA can improve their delivery process, especially in terms of pre-delivery notifications and order accuracy checks

Do not shop with them you will regret it, if I could I would give them zero stars. Customer service is below par, whole story below it's long as they made mistake at every step of the order. - 08/20: placed order online for a couch for delivery on 08/30. Order got cancelled on 08/29 because this item was not available. I had taken a day off work. - 09/04: order is back in stock so placed order for it to be delivered between 8am and 1pm on 09/16 by RXO. Drivers were supposed to call 45min before arrival and then on arrival. No phone call boxes dumped in front of my building in the street at 6pm while at work. Boxes are of a 300lbs couch. - Next day (boxes spent 1 night outside) after many hours on the phone with RXO and Ikea, got confirmed that drivers are coming today. Called RXO 3 different times to confirm, everyone say "yesterday they are coming". Nobody came. 2nd night outside. - No contact from Ikea but a phone call from RXO asking me if the drivers can come for the boxes on 09/16 so 10 days later... Got fined by condo association $50 for boxing being left outside and informed that I will be fine $50 a day from now on. Called Ikea and rep suggested a hire someone and Ikea will refund. $200 later boxes are inside (i moved to this country 2 months ago for work and do not know anyone who could help so had to pay). Was offered $100 gift card and delivery fee refund. - Couch is being assembled and there is a missing piece, calling Ikea telling them it's urgent as couch was ordered for my mom arriving a few days later. Ikea confirmed they will sent the missing piece before 10/01. Couple of days later order is cancelled for no reason. Had to spend 2 hours again on the phone with Ikea. 09/30: Item will arrive on 10/01. Ikea refunded the original delivery fee, said they send the gift card by mail but I have not so they had to create another case. Refus to reimburse the condo association fee of $50 and $200 for professional helpers to bring theirs boxes inside the room of my choice. We aer now 1 month later, $250 minus on my account, 0 gift card and the couch/ sleeper is still unusable. Do not use the chat out is useless. People on the phone have 0 compassion and line automatically drops when the issue becomes too complicated. Used Ikea for 20 years in Europe never had these issues or this level of unprofessionalism. Never again will I shop at Ikea

Do not check out by self-scan if you don't want to be treated like thieves. We bought two plastic bins without lid, and that triggers the system, and it asked for the staff to check our scan. The lady staff asked to fully scan every item, which we agreed. However, she did not erase our scanned items, but just added everything again to our items, which doubled the price from ~$180 to $360. We told her the amount is not right, but she just behave like we are lying, and asked us to go to the cashier and left while checking her phone. We had to wait in the line again for the cashier, and the final price was around $180. She is absolutely not doing her jobs and not understanding how to treat her customers, hope other people be aware of what you are paying for.

Terrible delivery service through RXO. Spent two months trying to get a delivery, but they'd continually call and text to confirm a date, then no-show and expect me to spend an hour on the phone to reschedule it. No effort made at all to tell me why or reschedule when they no-showed. Missed four days of work and still never got our stuff. Then they said it would take weeks to refund, and refused to take back the 1/5th of the order that actually arrived through a better carrier. Now I'm stuck with a useless part of a shelf, down money and down time. Never shopping here again if they care so little.

It's an IKEA. It does the job. If you don't show up during busy times there is a minimal line. They did implement a self checkout so prepare to do your own scanning. Delivery and click&collect online order pick up are helpful (but make sure to read the measurements for the packages you order and that they fit in your car) . I think Ikea family members get free parcel shipping on small (n size) orders over $50

Went on a weekend for some shopping at IKEA. We first had good food for lunch there which was simple yet delicious. Fish, garlic toast, and plant based meatballs are definitely a must try! Then, we headed to shop. We specifically went to see if we could find nice "stainless steel" dishes here for the kitchen but I didn't find things great in that section and the prices were way high in that area. The "plants" were great here. I had no plan of buying them but found beautiful plants here. I got 5 big plants and they're just lovely! Other shopping were all random picks but was good day out at IKEA.

Tried buying a mattress and bedframe for delivery. The carrier just didn't deliver and didn't send me an email update. I called IKEA 5 days later to ask what's going on, and the operator made me wait on the phone while she waited to talk to the carrier - no option to call back or send an email. 30 min later, she said I could get it 2 wks later with no assurance it would be delivered this time. I see one reviewer below has complained they waited 15 minutes to be served. I only wish we could claim the same; in fact it was exactly 42 minutes from the point we joined the queue to being served yesterday - 2nd September @ 18:05hrs. There were two serving points and both queues were moving at a similar snail's pace! This was not the fault of the two under pressure servers who were working, totally unsupported as fast as they could on their own (there are normally two members of staff serving at each service point). Hats off to our server Bemi who still managed a smile and a genuine apology for keeping us waiting. It would appear that Ikea's restaurant prices and customer service are heading in opposite directions. Come on Exeter Ikea Senior Management, it's time to stop promoting the new points based 'gimmicks' you keep emailing about and refocus on the basics - supporting your hardworking staff, genuine customer service and value for money pricing! Det är inte raketvetenskap!

I had a bad experience with an Ikea shipment, idk where to put my complaint so I'm placing it here. Ikea uses this delivery company called RXO which stands for Really Xerrible Operations because they messed up my delivery on two separate occasions. First, some of my items were missing upon delivery, so I contacted (which was busy -- wait times are perpetually longer than normal). After I got that sorted, the 2nd delivery did not arrive for four days after the scheduled date (and the tracking number didn't work) so I contacted customer support. Got it sorted, new delivery date. Finally, my furniture arrived, and you won't believe it, but as i opened the box, a torrent of spiders came rushing out of the opening in the box that I had created with a knife. Spiders were suddenly crawling all over my apartment and getting in every crevice and hole. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I will not be buying furniture from Ikea again if their warehouses are full of cobwebs. I found a spider in my toaster this morning

I like IKEA and I always buy their products. I bought some items from their store in Boston. I want their personaly to check the items. I bought them and paid extra money to do shipments. Upon checking them at home, I noticed they don’t fit my home. I didn’t open any items. I called their call center and asked about the options of returning these items. IKEA agent told me that I can do it through a label and a courier will ship it back. Unfortunately this didn’t happen. I called again and they told me it was a mistake from their agent and they can’t provide label and I have to return it physically to their store. I asked if I can speak to their supervisor to express my frustrations and find solutions. They took my number and advised he will call back. I never received a call from them after waiting for so many days !

The restaurant has to be the slowest in the IKEA chain globally. The wait time is slow slow, it was 15 minutes from the time you got to the first set of food/drink cabinets - in fact it’s so slow that there wasn’t even a person at the register because they didn’t need to whilst people waited for the sloths behind the baymaries to serve the food, one meatball at a time. If you’re happy standing in a queue for 40+ minutes, then this is right up your alley. Service is so slow, I thought I saw Gordon Ramsey and his crew filming kitchen nightmares!

If your looking for useful good looking furniture or any other household items at a reasonable price this is your place. They have everything including lunch, actually I have gone just to have lunch, it's really good and inexpensive with a cafeteria style vibe. The store is a giant wearhouse with 2 floors. The top floor has rooms that are setup so you can see what your house can look like. It's fun but follow the arrows or you can get lost in the maze of bedding and dishes.
