I do not live too far from this take away, we order often. I honestly think it is the best. Lovely quality, good portion size, cooked in front of you so you can see how clean and efficient the kitchen is. Everything tastes great so far.
They did an absolutely incredible platter of sushi for my daughter’s 16th birthday!! Even my husband who claims he doesn’t actually like sushi really enjoyed some of it! (It was originally just for two of us but they allowed us to call in some reinforcements as there was so much 😂)Very lovely staff too. Am looking forward to going to back again.
I've been coming here for a couple of months now, as part of the Exeter Steampunk group that meets here for a bit of a social every Thursday evening, and a slightly larger meeting on the first of each month, for drinks, food, chat, and a couple of games.
Last night (3rd April) coincided with the pub's real ale festival, and I got to sample two or three of quite frankly the best ales I've ever tasted: Gert Coconuts and Summer That (or something like that, I forget) were the best of those I tried. Who knows, maybe the other ten were better yet? The festival is on over the weekend, so do go along and try them for yourself.
I accompanied these gert lush drinks with what has to have been the best steak I've ever eaten in a pub setting. Seriously good; a big doorstep of quality beef, perfectly cooked, served with nicely done crispy chips and peas and a blue cheese sauce.
The staff are friendly and already know me by name; service is always quick and efficient; the facilities are clean and well maintained; and, come the summer, there's a garden.
It's also very dog-friendly (I counted 5) with the staff bringing out treats for the regular furry friends.
I gather they have live music there from time to time (having spoken to Rupert and Adam of 5 Brothers 2 Mothers in the garden).
Worst ever, especially the pink haired lady. She's rude and lazy. Don't work at a restaurant if you don't like serving customers. Doesn't know how to even operate the kiosks and wrap a burrito. Never visiting again.
Was told food wait was an hour, we then waited for aprox 1 hour and 20 mins before asking staff where the food was. We had booked our table for 6:45, very surprised that bookings can be taken if food wait is so long.
By the time the food arrived, the restaurant was almost empty so unsure why we still had to chase it up…had kitchen staff gone on a break before starting to prepare our food?

The cocktails were fantastic, the food was lovely and the service was incredibly attentive. Our server Jo did a great job, especially considering we were a large table.
Food could have been better, lacked taste however it could have been due to what we ordered. Staff were kind and attentive and the atmosphere was really cute and suitable for celebrations and date night. Decent spot to go for food in exeter and good location.
A bit away from city centre, the Famers Union is a down to earth pub. The food choices are somewhat limited, but well done and fairly economical. There are flat screen tv's all around, so if Exeter is playing, you'll be in a good spot to have a pint and enjoy the match. There is some outdoor space, so if the weather cooperates you can sit outside.
Lovely breakfast. We visited around midday on Tuesday and it was very quiet. We were given the option £9.95 unlimited food (still including access to water) or £13.95 for unlimited food and drinks. Everything was explained thoroughly, great food and waffles made on request were also brilliant.
Amelia served us, while also dealing with a complaint which looked quite heated.
Nothing was too much trouble, she was great.
My partner and I were very impressed with her professionalism during this frustrating encounter with these awkward diners.
She handled this situation very well and while doing so, still managed to seat 12 more people.
We will definitely be back :)

Common place for freshers to lose their bar virginity in Exeter. They play corny outdated early 2000s music which the patrons have little control over. You would jump through hoops and download some half-baked app developed by some college kid for their summer pet project, only to realize you could only choose from the 15 pre-selected bangers from 2000s Billboard Best Elevator Songs.
Do not get wings because they are cheap with their portions. Mostly because they are dry and borderline unfit for consumption.
Great for sporting events if you do not want to mingle with locals (as we all know they stink).
We visited this weekend for a last minute roast dinner.
We sat outside in the courtyard which was lovely and ordered two pork roast dinners.
Once they arrived we were extremely disappointed as. Hardly any vegetables, not very hot almost cold and hardly any meat. There was also no check backs.
I understand Roasts are expensive nowadays but for how much they were charging this was awful.
I have tried to find a contact email address to write but can’t find one.
