I had a takeaway from spice aroma which is chicken Tikka Biryani. It was delicious. And big portion with reasonable price. Will be back for amazing food for sure again!!!!!

It's more or a takeaway or café than a restaurant, but if you want delicious food and can put up with people coming in for takeaways, this is highly recommended! First time there, will DEFINITELY visit again.

The best food , the best taste , the portion size ...it's awesome .. Namaste india and The gandhi resturant is pani kaam chai in front of them. Go sit and eat n feel the difference. Absolutely amazing n pocket friendly no absurd charges

Came for lunch. Big list of menu. But only chicken biriyani and some snack's were available.(kitchen function not working properly ) Ordered Chicken biriyani and it was out of 10/2. No salt. No gee No spices Just plan rice and added some colour. First time seeing potato in chicken biriyani 🙏.

Paid £1.50 for a popadom that was crushed into pieces, the food was cold some of it wasn’t edible a real shame!

The absolute best takeaway and restaurant in Exeter, amazing Indian/Pakistani/Bengali food, coming from London and it’s the absolute best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried many. Would give it 10 starts if I could and very reasonable prices. Friendly staff, nice environment, delicious food. Absolutely brilliant!

I am a student from India, and this is my place to go everyday. My fav dish, Chicken biryani in evening menu. The taste is authentic. Improvement: Maybe add a subscription model for students like me :P

I ordered the karak chai, was told it would take 10 minutes but it in the end it took 45 minutes. I’ve also had better chai and wasn’t worth the wait

I was their for having food on 28/9/24. One of the staff who is wearing a blue t-shirt who behaves very unpolitely. He don't know how to behave with the customers. We are really disappointed with the customer service.

A very tasty place for lunch or dinner. It's small inside and it's quite a small menu. Seated right away and the lady came and took our order immediately. The chicken shwrma is terrific. Only soft drinks sold here. I'd go back without any hesitation.

This is one of the best Indian / South Asian restaurants that I have eaten at. We tried four dishes and each one was distinctive and delicious. Each dish and sauce was prepared from scratch by the chefs rather than using pre-prepared sauces. The decor gives the impression of being takeaway with special lunch offers advertised on the window and no tablecloths or fancy wallpaper but the a la carte dishes are outstanding. The staff were friendly and welcoming to me and my curry-loving but messy 10 month and 4 year old children. I anticipate this being a regular customer.

Had the mixed kebab with the complimentary mint sauce, overall it tasted delicious with the perfect amount of spice and flavour. Also tried out the chicken biryani from their lunch menu and it was also very tasty with the perfect amount of herbs and spices. It’s a must to try. The atmosphere was very cool with their very friendly waiters.

Tried their lunch menu yesterday and couldn't help but be amazed at how amazing it was. I tried the anda shami burger, which is a street food common to where I am from. It consists of a meat patty with lentils with an omelette and some condiments. It is slightly spicy but hits the note. Alongwith that tried their paratha and chicken qorma. Paratha was freshly made and not like store bought ones. Really nice. Also the chef is really polite and nice. Do try the karak chai or stove Cooked tea with milk. It's another dimension of tea. Highly recommend their lunch menu.

Good news, Spice Aroma now opens for lunch. Sat - Thur from 12 Noon & Fri from 2.30pm. The dishes are really very tasty, as they have been on previous visits. The Chef offers up some really good, flavoursome, quality dishes. The spice levels, for me, were perfect. By the way, if you get the chance and you are not too full, try the kheer dessert. It's very good. Service is very attentive and nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel welcome. You are advised that, if you want more spice, you only have to ask. I would also add that Spice Aroma offers value for money. Dishes are generous. So pleased that they have decided to open for lunch. A great idea that, I hope, works as well for the business as it does for the customers.

Food was quite tasteless. not cooked in herbs and spices more like it was just dipped in or poured on top of the food. 2 items missing which the restaurant did bring. Grateful but very disappointed on quality.

Absolutely delicious. The garlic and Keema naans are brilliant. The Shahi and tikka chicken mains are YUMMY. You can have it with the naan or rice. I can tell it’s not just processed fast food but FRESH real ingredients. Just love it. Hope they just don’t raise their prices as the economy is bad.

Food was piping hot when it was delivered, and flavours on point. Naan was very soft and plenty of vegetarian options available. As an Indian student, definitely coming back!
