Had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant. The service was amazing with food and drinks orders well timed. Great atmosphere and super food.

Over an hour to wait between courses to then be served a cold roast and no ordered side!? The waitress was amazing and very apologetic, she was obviously embarrassed. We were offered a free pudding but just wanted to get out of there!!

Chris was very attentive on our first visit to the Exeter Browns.

Browns have done an excellent job in renovating this restaurant, it's stunning! The service and food was excellent. We had brunch outside & it was delicious. I'm also gluten intolerant and felt that Browns catered very well for me. So in short, Browns is a wonderful addition to Exeter in a gorgeous setting...I shall return.

Requested a quieter table and was put in a lovely location away from the larger parties that had booked for the same time. Food was exceptional, service couldn't be topped and the atmosphere and decor really adds to the experience. So glad this has come to exeter and is a new favourite for date night!

Came for brunch and sat outside on the terrace, the lobster was delicious and the service from Nikki was fantastic!! Will definitely be coming again!

What a delightful spot! I got to take a friend for birthday brunch and picked Browns Exeter as I’d been wanting to visit since it opened a few months back. It was the perfect spot for a cozy celebration. Our server was that perfect balance of attentive but not overly present. We splashed out with multiple drinks and add ons and the bill was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food. I also really appreciate the birthday dessert brought out for my friend at the end of the meal, it was classy and felt fun a celebratory. I will definitely be back and recommend Browns as a good place to go for special occasions!

We had Sunday lunch at the restaurant today. Four adults and two children. Everyone loved it! The food was delicious, and the vegetarian option for the roast dinner was great. Staff were very friendly, we felt very welcomed and not at all rushed. The decor of the restaurant is also stunning. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited the restaurant in a very hot and sunny Wednesday thinking we’ll only get drinks, but we ended up having a lovely lunch and coffees. I had the beetroot tartare and the delicious beef shank ravioli 😍 Service was 10/10 and special thanks to Harmony who answered all our questions and made our meal there even more pleasant. Will definitely visit again!

Browns have done a fabulous job in designing this space. It’s warm, welcoming, colourful and very stylish. The staff are outstanding from the initial welcome to the kind and efficient way we were looked after during the meal, especially by Nicky. The food was fabulous, the dishes were well conceived and perfectly cooked. I would recommend Browns to anyone eating out in Exeter whether casually or for a special occasion. The setting by the river is lovely and it has its own car park

I would not normally have three courses, but I last night and I have no regrets, each course was absolutely amazing and cannot find anything that I could complain about. Such a beautiful place to eat in and the deco of Browns is very tasteful and a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend Browns and look forward to my next visit. Thank you.

This place looks beautiful I had a burger and it was good but my friends had a ceasar salad and it was a bit scarce on a few ingredients one crouton one anchovy and not much sauce. The staff were great though they brought out all the elements in little dishes and once they had added the bitsut was great!

We had an afternoon tea and everything was absolutely lovely. Jude and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Disappointing visit. Ordered the duck Bon Bon’s and a steak. Bon Bon’s were lovely however the steak came out wrong twice. On the 3rd time it was acceptable. For this reason we probably wouldn’t return.

Nikki was absolutely amazing! The seafood platter and steak tartare were phenomenal and we had some of the best mocktails in Exeter! Thank you Nikki for making mine and my partners anniversary so special!

A birthday celebration with afternoon tea… food was well presented and delicious. Staff were very accommodating and service was amazing. Kelly (our waitress) went above and beyond to make the afternoon a very memorable day. Would definitely recommend.

We like to eat out for Sunday lunch but on a Sunday evening and it can be difficult to find places where lunch is available all day but Browns Brasserie is our new favourite go-to! We had a warm welcome for our first visit tonight and great service from Kelly, plus high-quality and beautiful food throughout. The chef easily adapted a dish for me as a pescatarian upon request. We enjoyed everything about this visit and we’ll be back very soon. Highly recommended!

Christos was a fantastic host, He made good recommendations and had great knowledge of the menu. The surf and turf was cooked to perfection and the lighting and ambience created a warm and cosy atmosphere. Prices are fair considering the service and quality of food.

Wow! We decided to have some lunch here to celebrate my Dad’s birthday & we had an incredible experience. The staff is attentive and very welcoming. The food was sublime & incredibly tasty. And overall the atmosphere really lent itself to the experience as the decor & table was upscale yet comfortable. I really couldn’t recommend Browns more.

Decided to eat out for Easter Sunday lunch and could not have picked a better restaurant. This newly refurbished restaurant ticked every box. The food was delicious ✅ The setting and decor beautifully designed and put together✅ The atmosphere and ambience laid back and classy ✅ The service polite, friendly and attentive without being too " in your face " ✅ Prices are not extreme for a restaurant of this calibre.✅ The menu and choice of dishes were varied and well thought out. ✅ Location great _ at Exeter Quay area✅ Free parking ✅ All in all a place deserving a fantastic review. We had the Sunday roast lunches which were delicious and plentiful and beautifully presented. A special mention goes to Raphael_ our main server today _ who was knowledgeable, polite, and very professional.. The addition of live piano music being played in the background certainly added to the restful and classy dining experience. Thank you to Paul the pianist for this. We also met with the manager of the restaurant and thanked him personally for the fine dining experience, passing on our compliments to all concerned. Would thoroughly recommend Browns and we we will definitely be returning.

The burger is incredibly succulent and moist, and the wine was soft and comforting in the best way. To add to that the waiter Raffael was calm and presented the wine very elegantly. Very mindful, very demure.
