Amazing bottomless! Served by Beth all afternoon! Can’t fault it at all, served fast and she was so polite and friendly :)

Went in with 10 friends on Saturday and one of the female staff told the other one that she didn't want to serve us with shots or cocktails so we left. Been coming in here year after year but none of us will be returning. The place was empty at the time. We can see why now

Don’t waste your time or money, it was awful! Pre booked a table and pre ordered our food with the bottomless night out. Very disappointing, we waited an hour before we received our first drinks and this continued. Service was very slow with lots of excuses given as to why we were waiting so long for each round of cocktails, extra 2 bottles of Prosecco were given to us but we had to ask for this. We had 4 cocktails only in the 3 hours we were there. We had pre ordered Pizzas - I ordered the vegetarian which was a basic cheese pizza with a few bits of aubergine on top. You do not get your moneys worth and most of our time there was spent asking where our drinks where. The atmosphere wasn’t very good as other tables had the same issues. It’s very cramped downstairs.

Delicious cocktails and great bar temperature if I were a polar bear thus the 4 stars

the security team are awful. one guy in particular grabbing our drinks from our hands and grabbing my boyfriends wrist pulling him away from the table to leave, all because we asked why we needed to leave as we had done nothing wrong. we had a table booked for 12 people to celebrate a birthday, apparently we were ‘too messy and loud’ so had to leave, and said they’d make sure we can’t go anywhere else in exeter town tonight because we stood up for ourselves as we didn’t actually cause any trouble, we were all simply enjoying our night. as a table of 12 people, you aren’t exactly going to be quiet, but even so i don’t see how this is a reason to be asked to leave? and as for the mess, they referred to a splash of water on the floor which was already there before we even arrived. the drinks were also so slow and couldn’t even go to the bar to order a drink as it was all just table service. as a group of 12 this wasn’t exactly ideal? the security team also tried to say we couldn’t sit at our table as it had been moved, but the staff literally sat us on that exact table in that space so i don’t see why this was our group’s fault! won’t be returning which is a shame as this place used to be great, the staff and service ruin it

First, we were sat late and then not given any time at the end of our session to make up for it. We did not get our complimentary Prosecco and in the time we were there we only had 4 drinks. The pizza was damp the nachos also were just terrible and watery. We had multiple people keep coming up and taking our orders for the next drink but then just not getting them. When we went up to the bar to tell them that we only had 4 drinks and wondering where our others were the staff were very rude and said that we had 7 rounds. They thought this because when they kept coming up to take our orders they were putting them through as if we had them even though we never received them. They kept very rudely telling us we had 7 rounds and basically accused us of lying but we only had 4 drinks. Also we thought that if we had ordered 7 rounds we should’ve gotten those drinks however even though we ordered them because our time session was up we were not allowed to have them. Bit of a rip off that we paid £40 each but only had about £25 pounds worth of drinks. Then to make up for the lack of drinks they very rudely gave us the Prosecco that we should’ve received at the very beginning of our session. Additionally, the Prosecco tasted like vinegar. When we were trying to ask the waiters stuff he said that he would go check and let us know and then keep just walking past us again and not telling us anything which is what made us go up to the bar. Generally the whole time just felt very forgotten about and then were spoken to very very rudely and we absolutely did not get our moneys worth and will not be returning ever.

If there was an option to put zero i would have put it. We only received 4 drinks in 2 hours and then told them and said them we would get another but never came back.

Part of running a bar is making sure you have clean toilets. No-one wants to stand in a puddle of pi$$ because of a leaky urinal

Service was absolutely terrible, extremely slow and very rude, any kind of complaint which was very mild was greeted as a personal discrimination which reflects the lack of leadership and training in this establishment. Fortunately the redeeming factor was the drink and food was good. The slow service and rude demeanour let this down massively. I wouldn’t blame the staff I would say it looks as if management has a poor attitude and puts too much pressure on staff instead of leading. However I don’t work here so I don’t know the inner workings.

This is the best place I’ve had bottomless yet! Got 8 cocktails in and a couple glasses of champagne! One was complementary bc we had to wait for our table because someone was already seated which was so nice of them because they just outright gave us one not even knowing if we where annoyed we had to wait for our table! It would’ve been 5 stars if I didn’t have to be taken home in an ambulance at like 3am bc I overdid my Saturday night. so your partly to blame for that happening coolings 😂 Anyway big love worth the price lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, lovely food and omg I would die for another mango coolings cocktail❤️❤️❤️

Coolings is just amazing, drinks were lovely and came out very fast, staff were absolutely brilliant especially Izzy, Beth and Rio, honestly best bottomless brunch i have had, highly recommend this bar to anyone eating to go for casual or even a lively bottemless brunch !!!

Had a bottomless brunch at coolings last night and it was brilliant! such wonderful service from staff and really incredible cocktails!! All our very tasty drinks came quickly and our bottomless brunch was the highlight of our saturday night out !

Have been to coolings a few times and let my bad experiences slide. This time was by far the worst. Rude staff and slow service. The manager was even worse. Security was cocky and rude-you are security to a bar not the royal family. Never ever get our moneys worth and after trying this place a few times will never be returning. Cut off after explaining two valid reasons for not feeling well. not due to drinking at all as only had a handful of cocktails not enough to get anyone drunk. feeling sick due to medical reasons was apparently in the policy to end my £40 bottomless early to no compensation. Also to then gossip about my medical condition between staff members. Not professional. Save your money and go turtle bay across the road, always so lovely and the atmosphere is amazing. We understand getting rid of drunk and disorderly but seeing as I’m sober enough to write this 20 mins after leaving not a very good bottomless…

Rude staff and didn’t even get my moneys worth at all with bottomless. Has so much potential but missed the mark completely. Much better places in Exeter to go.

Wish I could give less than one star, did bottomless and only had 4 drinks went to the toilet with my friend and made a joke about being sick as we were full. Overheard by someone who didn’t work there when the asked us over the stool if we were being sick we opened the door where my friend was obviously sat on the toilet and said we were joking about not being sick “just yet” she said she needed our table number to send over water we said we didn’t need water as wasn’t sick. Then bar staff went to our other friends while we weren’t there claiming we were sick which was 1 embarrassing and 2 untrue. We were not drunk in the slightest and not sick. Bouncers then came and questioned my friend where she has a medical Condition where she needs to gag which is why we made the joke however didn’t happen. Security said she seemed sober however bar staff had barred us. We sat back down where another bouncer came and said my friend needed to leave as management wasn’t happy with her being sick. Yet again we said she wasn’t sick however was ignored and told she was? We had 4 drinks told to leave half way through with no refund and completely sober. Would not recommend

Had a bottomless brunch here a few weeks ago, food was okay, cocktails tasted good but we only managed to get 4 cocktails in two hours, they just took ages after ordering and also the barman came across very rude and abrupt (cool hair with glasses). Sadly wouldn't come back for a bottomless brunch mainly due to the service. Good atmosphere and lovely decor so it's a shame.

Bottom less brunch absolutely awful no one in pub but still didn’t get cocktails very quick very slow wouldn’t recommend this place really lazy staff who couldn’t care a less

We came for the bottomless which was fantastic, we were so well looked after, the food was lovely, we had nachos and pizza both really tasty! Staff lovely and friendly and kept us topped up throughout the 2 hour slot. Excellent value for money and plenty of drinks to choose from :) we will be back. Thank you 🤗

Food was really nice and delivered hot and quick. We had paid for a brunch and felt that we got our moneys worth. Cocktails are delicious, at the beginning they were taking a while to replenish them but I assume that’s because more and more people were coming in so had a bit of a back log. The service is outstanding on the night we had Abbie, Jack and Freddie they all were so accommodating and inviting. Thank you so much for a good night, will be back

Visited Coolings for the first time for Bottomless Brunch and was really impressed. I didn’t catch the names of the girls that served us but they were all brilliant and really friendly. It was also very busy but they were so attentive. They took the orders of the next drink each time they brought over a round, we never had empty glasses! Highly recommend

Great experience all round, all staff were friendly and helpful despite seeing they were understaffed (not their fault at all) definitely would recommend and come again!

Did the bottomless brunch never again at coolings! normally you'd have at least 8-9 cocktails at a bottomless we was only allowed 4 then we was asked to leave!! The waiting time for each cocktail was 25-30mins..

Been a couple of times now and always had excellent service and the food is great...

A very underwhelming experience. Ordered 2 strawberry daiquiris, they made them with Malibu, this is not a daiquiri. Told them they weren’t right, they wouldn’t give a replacement. Ordered pornstar martinis, got espresso martinis, told the barmaid she had got our order wrong, she said wouldn’t accept she had got it wrong again. Spent £28 on incorrect cocktails that we didn’t want as they weren’t right. Would definitely not recommend if you want a good place for cocktails!

Shocking, all you can eat and drink for £39 each for 5 of us, we only managed to get a couple of drinks in two hrs as they were under staffed, we also had a soggy cold pizza from a box that we all left most of it, staff did not seem to care that it was left, we were not offered anything else to eat, better off at a takeaway to be honest.

Woefully understaffed. The pre-booked event of a comedy night had 80 people turn up, yet there was 1 person on pizzas in the kitchen and 1 person behind the bar. Group who had paid for bottomless drinks couldn't get them. Most customers sat in front of empty glasses for the second half. The staff were pleasant enough under terrible circumstances. Whoever runs the place lost a lot of revenue. I'd hesitate to visit again.

2nd time of coming here bottomless brunch with my friends for a birthday we sat in the main bar this time and the service was top notch rio was really quick at making our cocktails and we didn’t have to wait long in between she took out next drinks order when she brought the cocktails over and they were all freshly made and tasted amazing the food was really good as well the young girl with the apron on who served us our food was really polite I didn’t catch her name she checked to see if we wanted any condiments with our food Can’t recommend this place enough will defo be back again

Top little pub and bar located in the centre of Exeter. Had a couple of largers and enjoyed the conversation with With Dawn Willow and history loving Lucy .

Dawn (waitress/manager) was unbelievably rude and aggressive! She is clearly a bully and 5 team members mentioned how awful she is to work with. Complete waste of money and shockingly bad service. She followed me around the bar and told me to go back downstairs or leave! As I spoke to another manager upstairs about her appalling behaviour. Who does she thinks she is! What an embarrassment for the company and she is a manager. If she is representing your brand (Coolings) then get use to all these bad review. Don’t waste your money.

First time doing bottomless brunch in coolings, great fun staff were very helpful and had a lot of banter. The 2 bartenders and the tall brown haired girl serving tables were brilliant! Went upstairs after we finished and beside it being busy quick to be served, jenna was great! Definitely would Recommend to everyone who wants a good night!

Me and my friends came here on Saturday afternoon for bottomless brunch it was extremely busy in the cellar but none the less we all had a great time the staff were really nice and made sure the drinks kept flowing despite how busy it was we hardly ever waited and when we did they brought over round of vodka cokes while waited for our cocktails has the chilli nacho which was really good too

I have asked the colleagues and found her name to be Dawn, she was extremely rude and abrupt, she proceeded to tell me how many drinks I had and the amount of time left I had to drink them implying I should slow down when I was not intoxicated or causing a scene in the slightest. There was a table of two girls who were being served more and in less time, we understood it’s busy - however when asking how long the drinks were going to be we were not greeted with a kind response from Dawn, her interpersonal skills are lacking severely.

We did the bottomless brunch there was 7 of us and the service from MIa was excellent we was never short of a drink and the food was lovely definitely recommend

Booked a table for a family birthday. We intended to try the £39 bottomless brunch. When we arrived we were promptly shown to a table in the cellar. The waitress shouted that we need to scan the QR code on the table. Unfortunately there was no signal and their Wi-Fi would not connect. When we asked for normal menus to view, we were told they only had one on the wall by the bar. After checking the so called menu, we discovered they only do Pizza or Nacho’s. So after the poor service and no menus and poor choice, we all up and left for a different restaurant. We all agreed not to use cooking’s for eating in the future.

Went here for a bottomless brunch, had an absolutely great time. Never done a bottomless brunch before and had some concerns that the time to get our drinks would mean we'd at most get 3/4 rounds in. Not the case at coolings, we finished the night with 11 rounds, all of which were delicious and the staff were incredibly attentive. Food was great also with gluten free options which is a great plus. Massive shout out to the waitress who served us, we always had drinks in front of us and never ran dry. What a star! Thanks again!

We recently visited for the bottomless brunch (07/10/23) we was excited looking forward to celebrating my friends Birthday. As soon as we arrived the waitress ignored us for a while. When we got around to getting our food, my pizza came with alive caterpillar on it, I didn’t notice it till I started to eat the pizza. Then I was in shock and didn’t think to take a photo of it. My friend took the pizza to the bar and the staff behind the bar said “this can happen because it is fresh”. My friend explained it wasn’t acceptable to the staff. The only way the staff tried to resolve the matter was offering more food, which at that point I had lost my appetite as anyone would. I left the situation and didn’t pursue it as I didn’t want to ruin my friends birthday. We also found that the service wasn’t good as it took ages for drinks to come out. I spoke to the waitress at the end on my own, asking about if there was any compensation for what had gone on. I found that she was very rude and completely dismissed what I had said. She also went on to say that we had more drinks than you would normally have, we only had 6 each. I did find it was a nice atmosphere there, but the whole incident and the way it was handled has put me off returning in the future.

Food was great - that is the only good thing to say, service terrible - apparently the waitress was the only person on which is not my fault. The menu says 'There is no maximum or minimum. Most customers have 4 or 5 drinks during the deal'. Our group got to 5 in 1.5 hours then the waitress decided she could not possibly serve us as she was too busy. As we had had 5 drinks she felt this was sufficient. So we were waiting 15 minutes AFTER finishing our drink before complaining and being given another. So a bottomless brunch was a very misleading title. 5 drinks and pizza for £39 would be exactly what it was. Cocktails were good when served but service terrible, drinks extremely slow, grumpy waitress. Avoid.

The bottomless brunch was excellent value, cannot fault quality of food or drinks. Lovely venue, able to chat with a good ambiance and our waitress was excellent, she really did make the experience. We visited 30/9/23 @12pm.

Best. Bar maid Amilea and Janna are the best bar admin to ever meet in my lifetime. I will come back

First time I’ve had a Bottomless Brunch, so nothing to compare it to. My friends told me it was very good value compared to other venues. The service was very quick and the cocktails kept coming - 7 in 2 hours! The only negative was the food. The nachos weren’t great - wish I’d had the pizza as that looked much better. Also, don’t go in the cellar bar if you’re tall - very low ceilings!

My family and I have been frequenting this establishment for more than three decades now. The ambiance of the place is truly delightful, making it an exceptional spot for us to gather and enjoy each other's company. One of the notable aspects of this venue is the affordability of the beverages they offer. The reasonable pricing on drinks certainly adds to its appeal for us, allowing us to fully enjoy our time spent here. Overall, this is an excellent venue for creating lasting memories with friends and family.

The venue set out over 2 floors. Two bar areas. We were in the basement. the ceilings are quite low, If you're tall, I would be very careful. Especially if you come out there drunk you're more likely to knock yourself out. I went for a masterclass cocktail making session for my birthday. The young man was lovely he showed us the step-by-step choice of our cocktails. We made one cocktail, and we also was given 3 fish bowls, shots, and pizzas. It was a good experience. The staff were lovely, very accommodating. Not bad evening.

Had my hen do here last night, was amazing so good we stayed there all night, love the 2 levels, we started in the basement for pizza and bottomless cocktails the staff were so friendly and service was great. Pizza and cocktails were delicious and the music was spot on, then went upstairs for more drinking and dancing. Would definitely go back again.

Great couple of hours! 4 friends catching up. Excellent service and a continuous flow of cocktails/prosecco/gin! Think we had about 6 rounds of drinks along with delicious pizza and nachos! Highly recommend.
