The Terrace Rooftop in Exeter

we haven't even visited yet - just want to change a booking, but not replying to my emails and no phone messaging service i am already angry, not a good start is it. PLEASE ANSWER MY EMAILS.......

Daughter booked her 21st birthday party for her and friends only for the restaurant to close that day and couldn’t even be bothered to let anyone know. Poor customer service.

A very good experience here, and they accommodated 24 for food and drinks. They food on all accounts from all of us was very good

We came to The Terrace for a hen do brunch, we were running late but they were amazing and moved our booking at short notice. The staff were all great especially Kim who made me feel like a VIP. The food was great and the cocktails were amazing. We loved the insta perfect flower walls and the selfie cameras were so much fun! I would highly recommend to everyone! Thank you so much for having us!

Paid £200 deposit which I was assured would be returned once our party of 20 had paid bill which was paid in full. Then I was told it had to be authorised by a manager and I would have to wait a couple of days. A week later and several unanswered emails (the phone is never answered) and no response and no return of my deposit. The staff were all very lovely and attentive despite many errors with our food I would have left a good review however as currently I’m owed £20O the only option is to leave a bad review and hope it finally prompts some resolution to this issue.

One of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Exeter. Tasty tapas and the cocktails are delicious too, especially the Espresso Martinis!! Service with a smile from staff always! Enjoyed some delicious camembert with crusty bread recently which was very moorish!! Can't wait until my next visit next month.

Saturday 24/08/2024 on arrival we were greeted by a young girl with dark hair, the place was not busy, probably 12-15 people across 5 tables, with more sat outside but, they were being waitressed by another individual, there was a party going on on floor 1, but this did not affect the staff in the restaurant on floor 2. We were shown to the table and were served drinks I informed the waitress that we hadn't decided on food yet and she said she would come back in a couple of minutes, we waited for 20 minutes all the while the waitress was stood talking to the two guys making drinks, after the 20 minutes of waiting we decided to scrap the idea and just leave, we shall not be back and I recommend you don't waste your time going there the staff don't care and don't pay attention

Oh my! What an amazing venue for a bottomless brunch. The team were brilliant at refilling, making sure everyone was having a great time and nothing was an issue. Maybe a slight rethink of the brunch offerings as a few bits of toast was so crunchy they couldn't be eaten but absolutely not a problem! 14 of us had the best time for a birthday and loved every second . Whoop whoop for a rave brunch

If I could give a 0 I would. The cocktail staff didn’t want to serve us. They all looked miserable. They was serving everyone else and we waited patiently. No one made eye contact with us. Never going there again. The cocktail was delicious. And the DJ was excellent

We had a great experience for a friend's birthday. Good food and drinks with a good atmosphere. In particular Megan was our server and was outstanding.

I wouldn't recommend a visit here. The staff are overwhelmed, the drinks take a long time to come and the place is filthy. We have visited here twice, both times on a weekend or Friday night.

Went for a post graduation meal for 7 of us, having previously enjoyed nice meals there. Great service in what I imagine was a busy week for them. Great tapas and even better cocktails. Servers all helpful, including working the lift as we had someone with impaired mobility with us. Highly recommend.

I have had many lovely evenings at the Terrace with my friends. The cocktails are great and there is such a good variation. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here.

Great place for pretty much all your hospitality needs. Been to uni union event downstairs, club on the weekends, dinner during the week, and also went to see the European football last Saturday. The vibes were exstatic!!!

Came along on Saturday night for a cocktail making class and what was advertised as a "pizza buffet." The cocktail class was fab (Thank you Patrick) We asked about our pizzas and the staff seemed unsure about them even though we had booked a while back. When the pizza came out it was 2 pizzas for 10 people! One covered in mushrooms which was also stated on the booking that one of the party had a mushroom allergy.... The staff seemed disgruntled when we asked for at least one more pizza because there were 10 of us. Not great service.

The service was terrible, had to ask for our drinks and food order to be taken after waiting for 20 mins. Quite a long wait for the food, another long wait for the plates to be cleared. Then had to ask for the dessert menu, another long wait so had to ask for our dessert order to be taken. Waited 40 mins for our desserts. No apology or explanation. Would not go back.

I was so many times in this place with my family and with my friends ! Last evening a Romanian bodyguard start reacting agresiv just because we looked back … for no reason … Was so close to call police .. We didn’t said anything to him , we never interact in any way with him ! Nobody apologised for his behaviour! We pay the fee to step inside and after his reaction we decided to leave …literally we payed to be insulted and disrespected

The brunch is amazing, food prices pretty good and tasty. Service at brunch amazing. Bar service not quite as good.

It was very busy when we visited, Marcus was super friendly and another man who we didn’t get the name of (he helped us pick up our playing cards). Atmosphere was really good, worth the wait.

Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, as lift is out of action. Service was good but to be honest the atmosphere was a bit strange

What an absolutely s#%t show our visit was. Visited just to have a couple drinks, joined the queue for the bar, took nearly ten minutes to get to the front where you’d expect then the 2 bar staff ( obviously not enough ) to pick up on whose next, no, just total chaos no awareness from bar staff to who is next to be served. Young lady next to myself gave up and left, I gave it five more minutes and decided enough was enough and departed myself. The place was very busy which is great for the venue & Exeter but come on you need more staff, staff that are trained well to recognise who is next in line. The two bar staff were obviously doing table orders as well as front bar orders, I would suggest at least 3 serving at the bar & 2 doing table orders at busy times. Very very poor. No one seemed to be managing anyone. Won’t be returning.

Dreadful, poor service, terrible cold food and dirty glasses. Avoid at all costs. Our food was missed completely and when arrived my wife’s was inedible. Had to take a drink back cause it was a dirty glass only to get it replaced with another dirty glass. I rarely write reviews but this was unacceptable

Was so looking forward to this visit as we don't come to Exeter much. Unfortunately won't be returning. Wasn't sure if we had to order at bar because it took forever for someone to come to the table. 35mins to receive drinks and this was before it got busy. When main meals came we had finished drinks so ordered more. There were 3 of us, my food came 10mins after the other two. Credit goes to Cam who served us and didn't stop and the young man behind the bar. As for the rest of the staff milling around who knows what they were doing!

This place is very under average! We ordered espresso martinis. They couldn’t do a decaf!? So one friend had something else. We asked for 2 martinis. He mixed them and poured and had only mixed for 1 and a half… so he just topped them up with syrup. No more coffee. Tasted like a gross syrupy mess. We ordered eggs Benedict, it came out cold and chewy. Huge disappointment.

I was a bit tipsy... But had a good night.

Hannah makes very good amaretto sourz. Bitters were spot on foam was there taste overall was very good I can’t lie. A very close second to the masters of the sourz whose names will not be mentioned. (Josh and Lucas)

Came for a Cocktail Experience as part of a Hen Party and had the best time, cocktails were amazing and Harry (who looked after us) was fun, friendly and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Great value for money and one very happy bride to be.

Came here for mothers day lunch- the food was incredible and the waiter was lovely and attentive. We also got given free Prosecco which sadly only my mum could drink as I’ve recently quit drinking, but it was a really nice touch and super generous! I loved how the restaurant was decorated. There was also a super talented live duo, who sang a lot of songs that I know, so that was really enjoyable. Overall, perfect experience, I had a lot of fun- thankyou so much!

Excellent spot for beers and a few beverages. If you’re very lucky Cam will be working and the service and atmosphere will be exceptional.

New to Exeter and what an introduction!! The team were friendly and attentive from moment we walked in and as bars go it’s really cool! Sat out on the Terrace with a Beer which tasted great and the music was cool, could have done with a cushion on the chairs but we were offered one when we mentioned it which was lovely of them! Food was great, but portion sizes were very generous and we couldn’t quite finish it all! Stayed for live music which was awesome and so nice to see, followed by a DJ in the cosy Clubroom downstairs! Reminded me of Cafe Mambo or Pikes Ibiza. Really cool vibes, 100% rate it.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I have a hen do booked and need to pay the final balance but cannot get a response. I have called, emailed, been in twice, messaged on Facebook and Instagram and I just get no response. I AM BEGGING YOU TO LET ME PAY YOU! Do NOT recommend booking anything here, its not worth the stress. A massive shame when this is usually such a nice place to go.

This spot on one of my favourites! The food is really nice and have really good selection of GF,DF ect.... Great service, (3rd February) I popped in for a drink and Sarah was our server she's was quick, polite and smiling the whole time. The cocktails are amazing and the there is a girl I don't no the name of with red hair who is also really good and every time I go in she's flawless. I Will keep coming back and who ever owns this place should feel lucky to have the staff they do.

Went to The Terrace for the first time with a large group of 30 people, to indulge in their Saturday night Christmas Party offering. The communication from the Regional Sales Specialist who facilitated our group party was excellent. She was, polite accommodating and always responsive...

Went to celebrate Christmas and catch up with a friend Location great, in the centre of Exeter and easy to find. Only complaint was that there are several flights of stairs to climb and the lift was out of use, not great for those with limited mobility. Cocktails were fantastic, freshly made and good value at 2 for 1. Had their burger, this was nice but had food envy when I saw some of the tapas dishes come out. Will try some of those next time.

Very disappointed after reading the reviews on trip advisor. Our lunch was booked for 2 o'clock but after ordering we found half the vegetables you had to order separately were sold out. Sunday lunch that only comes with carrots.
