The best restaurants in Exeter South West

Excellent, our first visit and won't be out last. Just need to save up a bit, but you do get a good fill for your buck.

Currently shut so can't comment. No planned date for reopening.

The atmosphere was good there was no problems. Sarah made us feel very welcome she went above and beyond to make our first time here very welcoming and comfortable. But the kitchen lady was shouting at Sara about mayo.

Proper old school fish and chip shop with a small no frills menu. Great value for money, lovely cod and chips, all hot and fresh. Cash only but they do accept bank transfers which is handy.

What a wonderful pub. We picked this pub at random and we were so pleased that we did. We walked in and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. A very comfortable place. The food was fantastic very well presented and cooked to perfection.

The food is so good! Highly recommend

I'm a deliver driver. (Didn't eat but entered resturant) Staff won't speak to you, just ingorned me. Had to walk out as after being ignored for 8 mins. very poor service. Wouldn't come here. DELIVERY DRIVERS ARE YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS TOO! Treat us as a customer or pay the consequences....

Very friendly owners, always serve promptly with a smile on their face. Never had any issues with their food, always tastes great and less greasy than some other fish and chip shops in Exeter. We come back here regularly as they are consistent.

Very pleasant light lunch on canopied terrace. Excellent fresh soup & brie/ cranberry toasties + coffee. The centre is welcoming and a little scuffed which makes it very 'Arty' with amiable staff. Would have given it 5-stars but there is no need to have plastic grass dotted about?!!!

Had Sunday lunch and for £7.00 each was a good standard, couldn’t eat it all!

Visited as we were staying close by, the owners very friendly and the food was lovely good comfort food, and good value for money.

This in one of the worst meals I have ever been served. Waited 45 minutes for one pizza and one burger. When it did eventually arrive it was plonked on the table with no speech or interaction, no offer of cutlery, napkins or condiments. I had to go hunting around the restaurant to find these things. Definitely would not recommend eating here as over priced food for poor quality service !!
