Consistently great traditional fish and chips (wrapped in paper) Always lovely and hot. Tasty well battered fish and a good sized portion of perfectly cooked chip shop chips. We need to support our local traditional f and c shops. This one is well worth supporting. Give them a try one evening - I've never been disappointed. Nothing better on a cold dark autumn evening! Well done and thank you Fish Supper House. Btw I have no connection or interest in this business but just want to rate them as highly as possible they deserve it.

I find the staff unfriendly, and unwelcoming, sometimes to a point of being rude The batter has changed and is flaky and crusty, not as proper batter should be, I do like the chips, but my father does not like the fact you get tons of scraps. Mushy peas we ordered two weeks ago, was just peas in warm water, we had to throw them away. My family has been going here since the 1980s, but its just not the same anymore, I would rather drive now to a chip shop in Exwick, which has friendly staff and great fish and chips.

This place has been going for years (we've been going there for at least 20 years) and the quality is always top notch. Best Fish and Chips in Exeter by a mile. Changed hands a few years ago but the owner wisely kept using all the same ingredients. Other places come and go but this place remains number one.

Never disappoints; well worth it! The portion sizes are decent. The staff are always friendly and the service is always swift! Highly recommend.

A few people waiting for orders... which is always a good sign. I ordered cod and chips. Which they cooked to order. It was piping hot and very tasty. Only negative, they left the skin on which was fairly easy to peel off. Luckily no bones. Bear in mind cash only they don't take cards!!

The service is great, the chips are good, the fish is cooked well and a decent size. However, the vinegar they use has absolutely no taste. I asked for extra vinegar on my fish and on my chips and I watched it being added but there was absolutely no taste. This is an essential part of fish and chips for me so led to a disappointing meal when it could so easily have been very good. If you don't like vinegar, you may like this place though.

I go here once a week every week. If you have the time ask for fresh fish rather than the pre-cooked and waiting in the heater oven. Ranges from Wonderful to so so, but when they are wonderful they are exceptional.

Great fish and chips to be had here and they even do half portions of chips. Best in Exeter in my opinion. Only criticism is that their mushy peas are awful and should be changed as they aren't like proper mushy peas had elsewhere.

Old style fish and chips tasty one of the best in Exeter although we all have different tastes i recommend them fish cakes arent bad either

So I decided to try this place on the recommendation of friends . I was completely disappointed with the overall produce of the greasy fish and the stale chips. Will not be returning to this place any time soon .

Just had fish and chips here tonight, I consider these fish and chips to be the best in Exeter, really good size portion, chips nice and crispy. Well worth a visit.

Pagamos menos de 10 libras por una porción enorme de papas fritas y 2 pescados enormes. Muy simpáticos el cocinero inglés (con el cual hablamos de la masa que hacía y de buñuelos que no los conocía) y su dueña china también muy simpática. MUY RECOMENDABLE

Great place for a proper Fish and Chip takeaway - have been going for years, can't recommend enough.

Visited last Saturday evening, as fancied quick and easy dinner after spending the day out. The chips were as usual, fantastic. However the fish seemed to be severely over cooked, which had made the batter hard! So disappointing, as really do think it is one of the better places in Exeter!

Excellent fish and chips served here. Recently visited for the first time and ordered haddock and chips. This is cooked to order and after only a very short wait it was being wrapped. Chips are great and the haddock was to die for. Tasty, delicious and great thin and crispy batter. Will definitely return

this is probably one of the last decent fish and chip shops left in Exeter and you can always guaranty to get a good proper fish supper :)

The chips were very good, hot and not at all greasy, but the fish was not so good. Soggy batter and skin left on fish, not good.Would visit again but will not be ordering the fish.

I have been visiting this chippy for many years and always happy with the food I receive from here. Reasonable price for the amount you get. They were a bit tight on the chips but I think this has been sorted

I don't know what he puts in the batter but it is very rich and tasty. Chips are very good. As someone mentioned, depending on variety the skin is left on the fish so be sure to ask if this is not to your taste. On a sunny evening take a two minute walk to the canal and sit and enjoy the views.

Was really looking forward to eating fish and chips, disappointed does not come near.Chips warm like cardboard, fish still had the skin on, just awful.Be warned !!! Stay away and save your money.

hot fresh batter on succulent fish and tasty chips, what else do you need? They do serve other stuff but wasted visit in my opinion. \often a queue for service as so good

Always freshly cooked and the tastiest fish and chips in town. I try to get there once a week even though I no longer live close by. No frills and none needed. The portions are good and excellent value. Parking for the few minutes it takes to get served is rarely a problem.

Just the best fish and chips in the area. The queues out the door are testement to this (although you never have to wait long to be served). Generous portions and noticably and consistantly better than any other fish and chips I've had for ages. This is just what a fish and chip shop should be like.
