Roosters Piri Piri in Exeter

I'm a deliver driver. (Didn't eat but entered resturant) Staff won't speak to you, just ingorned me. Had to walk out as after being ignored for 8 mins. very poor service. Wouldn't come here. DELIVERY DRIVERS ARE YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS TOO! Treat us as a customer or pay the consequences....

It used to be our favourite takeaway restaurant. However, recently they removed the two-for-one promotion. Not only that, but they’ve also decreased the portion sizes. To make matters worse, a friend found a massive bone in his wrap while eating. Unfortunately, we’re no longer pleased with their service or quality.

Chicken is actually really fresh and tastes great, possibly better than Pepe’s. It is much pricier though, with not a huge selection of meal deals or cheaper platters.

Burgers were burnt and overpriced

Ordered mango and lime chicken strips, they were far too sweet and tasted a bit gone off. They were also dry and the rice tasted off, I know we ordered delivery so could be why it was dry but have not had that problem when ordering from other chicken shops in Exeter. Made us feel a bit sick after eating less than half of the meal

Best chicken in Exeter the chicken are soft and tender also the favouring is great with the best price as a meal for student👍🏿

Generally quick service. The portion sizes are good for me—they're filling but not way too big. I like the medium-spicy flavour for the chicken; it's just the right amount of spice. 10% student discount available.

Chips was upright in the bag and made a total mess! Milkshake went everywhere

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE Order arrived incomplete, piripiri chips missing (meal deal)! Tried phoning the shop and delivery driver but no answer from either. Contacted uber eats and the said they were refunding 20p for the piri piri coating..... disgusting. Wont be ordering again

I had a great time to eating delicious food at your restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. Most importantly, every food and drink on your menu tasted great!

We ordered a few rice and chicken items. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked. However the rice was disappointing as it was mostly a version of tomato rice only. Meal options are good and the deals are good as well. But rice can be better.

Excellent place for fresh delicious quality food. Great ambience, and super friendly staff, they explain the menu to first-time visitors. The dessert was superb. Family place, kids menu, toilets, baby changing facility .

Good food, great customer service, great experience and environment

The chicken was great but a big thumbs down for the lamb burger. Nowhere was it mentioned that this is hot & spicey, my husband couldn't eat it so a waste of almost £10.

Excellent quality food, reasonable price, cooked very nicely, better than Pepes. I would also like to recommend this restaurant as an excellent choice for gym-goers, high volume and high quality protein.

Stopped in for lunch and had a great meal. The menu options are an excellent value.Also there are amazing meal deals available. We tried their chicken thighs with lebanese flavour with a side of Rice, Hot wings platter with piri waffe fries and sweet potato fries. Waffle fries with piri mayo dip was so yummy. We also order freshly squeezed orange juice. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Sidwell street, Exeter.

Great location. Very nice tidy clean place. Welcoming and prompt customer service. Currently, a generous offer of half chicken, fries and drinks ongoing for £8.99. According to the knowledge, that's the best deal in the town. Special dietary needs like halal food are served here.

Roosters is on every high street the superior piri piri chicken option - having tried Roosters elsewhere I was buzzing to see them opening in Exeter. Gloriously saucy chicken and piping hot chips in a bright clean environment. A sink tucked away to clean off chickeny hands is a great idea. Service is great. Delighted to see these guys open in Exeter! Will be returning and hopefully getting plenty of deliveries soon.

Take heed, hungry Sidwell Street wanderers! Should you cast your eyes upon Roosters Piri Piri, it would be to your benefit to stroll a minute down the road to go to Pepe's instead. The attached photo is the result of me parting with £7.64, and it on offer too! My first thought upon seeing it was "Where's the rest of it?" The chicken wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either: bland. Fries were allright. Pepe's smashes them on both and it's better value. There is table service (one plus they have over Pepe's), however they were found lacking here, too: my mate ordered a burger, half chicken and fries, all of which came several minutes apart. Sidwell Street is replete with good choices, they'll really need to up their game if they're going to survive.
