When my wife was unhappy with the ham quiche (three minute pieces of ham), I mentioned it to a staff member, but she did not seem bothered. She told me to email, but after two attempts and no reply, I went in and explained to a male member of staff. He assured me that my messages would be attended to but I still heard nothing. No matter how good the food may be, the customer service is non-existent. I will not visit Le Petit Prince again.

The chef of this pop-up restaurant has been running occasional one-off delicious Indonesian food events for years in Wimborne, and currently offers lunch in her centrally-located own home a few weekends a year. Pre-booking essential. This was a lovely, intimate and special dining experience. Four of us arrived at the chef's home for our pre-booked lunch and were greeted by the owner's son who was acting as waitstaff. We were shown into the house's front-room with tables for no-more than 30 people. As there were four of us we easily ordered a bit of everything from the small menu of classic Indonesian main and side dishes plus another classic Special of the Day. All absolutely delicious and clearly cooked from scratch! Worth noting:Currently cash only and unlicenced - entirely expected given the home-based nature of A Taste of Rasa Sayang. We were invited to pop to the very local supermarket to buy our own alcoholic drinks if required. Otherwise it's water.- Vegetarians and Vegans - mention this when booking. We were asked at booking if we had special dietary requirements. Didn't affect us, but as this is a small venture mention it beforehand. We were surprised at how little the bill came to - a benefit of not being able to order alcoholic drinks! This is currently run just by the chef with help from her family, so doesn't operate like a permanent restaurant business.Talking to the owner's son, it seems that in time there may be a more permanent / frequent tiny restaurant here.If you're local, it's worth finding their Facebook Page and following for updates. It's well worth the effort of watching for when this restaurant is open and booking in advance. Real Indonesian food isn't very common in this part of the world, and this is cooked with care!

Out for a meal with friends, conversation was great, meal was the worst I’ve had in years. Sunday menu with choice of beef, turkey or beef and turkey options. “Sorry, we’re out of beef”. OK, we’ll have turkey. “Sorry we’re out of turkey”. So no roasts, could we have a mixed grill? “Chef says no”. Fourth time lucky, I chose the Chicken Schnitzel. Chicken was OK. Rocket salad was slimy, sauce tasted like chopped tinned tomatoes, but the “rosemary skin on fries” were like bullets. I complained. “Yeah, they get like that when they’re left in the fryer.” Then it turns out they’ve run out of the rosemary fries… here’s some chips. Great. I imagined a lovely Sunday lunch. Ended up with an expensive plate of chips and ketchup.
