Disappointing Sunday roast both meals came put luke warm and roast potatoes were extremely over cooked. Waitress extremely busy and very apologetic about our 45 minute wait for the meal.Not her fault she was lovely and so busy.

Four of us came for dinner before going to the theatre. Two had the prawn cocktails which were dire, limp lettuce a few prawns and a bit of mashed avocado. Followed up by two steaks which the menu described as cooked medium rare, they were so overcooked it was like cutting shoe leather. To be fair they deducted the prawn cocktails from the bill. But if a kitchen can't produce basic food like this it needs looking at.

Been a fair few times for food. Always been good but this time our food wasn’t very nice. Can not fault the service though. I’d give that 5 stars. Very kind and helpful staff but the was of poor quality. I always have the cheddar and bacon burger but this time it wasn’t very pleasant. Gristly and tasteless. Terrible starter, left a plate full of grease from garlic mushrooms. Shame as couldn’t fault the service. Bar staff and waitresses were extremely kind and helpful. Family were also not happy this time with food. I didn’t see the use of complaining about it. Maybe a one off but I wouldn’t risk spending money here again. We unfortunately won’t be returning

Me and my mum came to the kings head for lunch last Sunday. We were served by Zoe who was a fantastic host. She made sure we had everything we needed and did frequent check backs to make sure everything was ok. The food was delicious and great value for money. We will be back!

A great hotel, restaurant and bar. We had a very nice meal served by Zoe who was very efficient. We net with Trefor, the Manager, who was very pleasant and helpful with information about the surrounding area. We would recommend this hotel to all those who visit Wimborne.

Food was very good and the service from Zoe and Lorraine was excellent- nothing too much trouble. Vast improvement from our visit in 2018 Will be back and would recommend.

We have stayed at the Kings Head hotel for one or two nights over the winter months and this time stayed for 2 weeks. The hotel is most welcoming with every staff member making you feel comfortable and at home. We would not hesitate to recommend the hotel for its friendliness and efficient service. Staff members do their utmost to meet guests requirements.

Had lunch on May bank holiday Monday. The food was excellent and very good value. Service was quick, pleasant and efficient. Especially pleased with the superb English sparkling wine (Chapel Down) at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be returning.

I'm surprised this is the first time we have been to The Kings Head for Sunday Lunch. As a local with so many choices of places to eat it's never been our first choice, however today's experience could well change that. We were looked after by Zoe, Lauren and Sinead. The service was efficient and friendly and everyone was happy with their food. Which was thankfully served in a timely manner as we had two hungry young children in our party.

Great meal out with friends this evening. Lovely friendly helpful staff called Jess, Karen and Brian. Till should allow customers to leave a tip by card though!

The restaurant is clean, tidy and exquisitely decorated, giving it a cosy feel. The waiters were friendly and attentive, served the food quickly and were concerned about the needs of the customers, adding to the overall dining experience. The food was fresh and excellent with wonderful flavours, adequate portions and good value for money. Overall, this restaurant provided a very enjoyable and memorable dining experience and is highly recommended.

Decided to give The Kings Head Restaurant a go after many months. We were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere & great service from Zoe & Lorraine. We understand it is under the new management of Trefor and we can see the difference in decor & food. We were pleased to meet the new Assistant Manager Brian who is going to be a real asset, very professional and friendly. We look forward to it being our regular again

During a work trip stayed in this hotel, decided to have an evening meal which was lovely. The next day we had to leave early and was in the restaurant for 7am, greeted by Zoe front of house, who was very friendly and engaging, lovely fresh fruit to start with and probably the best salmon and scrambled eggs I’ve had for a very long time, my colleague had the full English which was also lovely ( thanks to the chef Fytos) keep up the good work. Will be back, also thanks to the manager very helpful and friendly. Lovely Bentley.

An excellent place to eat. Great choices on the menu and the food is absolutely lovely. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The weekly Tuesday quiz is always well attended and great fun with quizmaster Simon. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Recent redecoration has vastly improved the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff were efficient and friendly. The food served was of excellent quality.

Rude welcome…. Arrived to have a quick coffee just wanted to nip to the bathroom before ordering my coffee ….as I walked in a rude gentleman accosted me at the top of his voice this is not a public toilet …don’t think I will be returning , no wonder it was empty

My 86 year old mum went for mothers day. `she was delighted by the food and the service.so much so the next day she went back to say thank you. They remembered where she was sitting and what she ate. a`well done to Trefor, Zoe, Lorraine,Sinead and Matt = FOH and Bar. Absolute quality. Thank you for making my mum so happy. Good Job

Had our daughters 18th Birthday meal and celebration drinks here, with family and friends. Area provided was just right for the meal, with tables set out as requested by the Birthday Girl. Food was excellent and served all at once (no-one having to waiting) thanks to pre -ordering food. Staff were all very friendly/polite & professional and couldn't do enough for us. Many thanks from all the family to Laura & the fantastic team at the Kings Head.

Well there was no one serving at the bar at the time we entered. Looking around staff were chatting together in another part. Then whilst i was sat down a member of staff a man was walking past me. I attempted to ask him a question. I was rather abruptly told by him he was busy. So i was a bit miffed. So to be honest i dont think i would go back there for these reasons. Wimborne has other places more customer friendly !!!!!!!!

Came here for food while staying at the hotel. A really nice menu. Lovely decor in restaurant. Served by a very polite young man who couldn’t do enough. The food was lovely, hot and warm plates as well. Desserts were very generous. We had breakfast here as well and it was scrummy and plentiful.

We stopped in on our way back from Bournemouth and had a lovely meal. I had the mushroom soup with truffle oil, followed by the beef pie with veg and chips, whilst my partner had the pate followed by lasagne, salad and chips. Really nice after our long walk along the front to Sandbanks. The staff were first class and the place itself relaxing as we sat by the widow overlooking the square. Don't often write reviews but have to give credit where its due.

I ate there in January and had a meal with your girlfriend. We had a chicken in a basket with Kiev sauce and a chicken and ham hock pie. The service was excellent and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a very welcoming and cosy feel to it. You will definitely be coming again and have booked for another date in February.

My wife and I took our daughter and son in law out for dinner here to celebrate our daughters 28th birthday. We had been before but some years ago. suffice to say the starter, bakes Camembert sharer was ok after we sent it back to get it cooked through properly. the main course, mine was the exclusive burger was nothing short of awfull. Everything was served on very cold plates. the food was at best luke warm the fries with the burger has been cooked at least twice. the service was dreadful. We didn't complain st the time because we didn't want to spoil the birthday celebration, but I would recommend to anyone considering it - don't eat here!! you will be disappointed.
