Ella and Conor provided friendly and excellent service , food was nice and hot .

The staff were fantastic and very funny. There was an issue in the kitchen that meant our food took a fair while coming, but they handled it brilliantly and I will gladly be back!

First and last time i will ever be going to the pure drop. The hostility from the manager was absolutely disgusting; they are rude to their staff and wearing the wrong kitchen uniform behind the bar serving drinks. The tables were dirty and when i wanted to order a drink i was spoken to with utter disrespect. I will not be going back again

The service was friendly. The tables all presented well, and were clean and well lit. The range of drinks was good. The food was absolutely wonderful, did not take too long to arrive, and as two of us are vegetarians, it was great to have a good choice. The prices were reasonable too, especially with the 30% off voucher on main courses! The sweet was too tempting to ignore, and delicious when it arrived. The portion size was just right too. The rest of the pub was clean and welcoming, and the toilet was the same. Disabled parking was close to the building for convenience. All in all I'd rate the experience @ 99%. The only thing taking it off 100% is that the Disabled parking bay was not very clearly marked. However, all in all it was a throughly enjoyable experience. We don't live in the immediate area, but our friend does, so we shall hope to meet her again in your pleasant surroundings, for another excellent meal, in the future. They operate a scan and order from your table, so we sat down and scanned and ordered through the app. I decided to buy drinks at the bar as the app was a bit confusing when choosing drinks. I went to the bar, the girl behind the bar was not very friendly, not great customer facing skills for a pub. Ordered drinks and explained we had ordered foods through the app and asked for confirmation it worked ok, she said it works fine but would double check that it had gone through. I thanked her, gave her our table number and left it at that. After waiting 45 minutes no food had turned up so we decided to leave, told the guy at the bar what happened, not overly interested, so we left :(

Met up with family as not seen since before Christmas & thought it be closer to eat lunch together. We all got our meals but one meal a curry was like warm so had to return and ask for another one but could it be hotter. The rest of us had nearly finished our meals when the another curry came out. Puddings I was disappointed with mine as sponge was hard not soft the custard was watery, very thin. It's a shame as we have eaten here few times and had no.problems. We will go back again and give it one more chance. Hope things get better again. Service Friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy inside and out and plenty of parking

Popped in for lunch, we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table. We ordered our food at the bar, and we were informed that Marsdons are doing a 30% off discount on main courses!! Bonus! Food arrived exactly as we ordered with only a short wait. Drinks, food and service well above average, highly recommend 👌 👍

We went to the Pure Drop for lunch and i cannot fault the service. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable about the menu as I have allergies. Nothing was too much. I can highly recommend the Pure Drop for food and drinks and their very knowledgeable staff.

Absolutely spot on, we always have had a great experience at the pure drop. Any time we take friends or family out we will always take them to the pure drop. A lot of friends have converted to taking their friends to the pure drop. The food is great, you’re not waiting long for it to arrive and the staff are always friendly, with a great knowledge of the menu. If I had to complain about anything at all, and this is because one of our friends is a vegetarian, is the lack of choice for vegetarians. Please carry on the great work.

The prime burgers were processed cheap ones that tasted like rubber. The salad with them was old and limp and consisted of 1 tomato and some red onion. The plate my partners curry and rice came on was freezing cold. The trifle cheesecake was still frozen and was not really a cheesecake. Poor experience

I've been coming here for years always good food, but First time Sunday lunch today. Wow what a plate full. 5 veggies, mash and roast potatoes, huge Yorkshire pud and plenty of meat and gravy. We will be back.

Another wonderful evening at the pure drop, the staff were fantastic, as always, the food was delicious and came promptly. A great atmosphere encouraged the beer to flow. A fantastic pub and lovely landlady.

Attended for my granddaughters birthday a couple of weeks ago. Booked for 28 people for 6pm. When we arrived at 5.50 no tables were laid and we couldn't take our seats for ages. Everyone congregated in the doorway as we were unable to sit down. Not a good start to an evening that had been prebooked. Thankfully the meal was very good and served speedily despite there being a lot of us. Congratulations to the chef and waiting staff who were very pleasant and attentive. P.S. This would have been 5 stars had we been able to sit down at 6 not around 6.20.

Was given a choice of tables which was nice, the food in general was okay, what let it down was the chips being undercooked and served cold. Quite a long wait for food especially when the pub was 1/10 full. I do wonder what the service would be like if the pub was full. The side salad could do with improvement. For a chain pub pretty poor. Won't be returning for food. Might return for a drink. Shame it was a self service pub. Had to ask for a child's menu as the server wasn't clued up to the fact we had a child with us .

Family meal to celebrate 3 birthdays, I thought we could use the voucher the pub sent me, but the staff just mocked us , wouldn't even allow it to be used for the 8 meals it was meant to cover ,(small print ) landlady says absolutely not for a booking of 13 ! , my daughter did say on booking ,that we had a voucher and nothing was said to her then that it was only for 8 people ,(we didn't know it was for 8 at the time,) ,but they could have done it for 8 of the meals, as a good will gesture, its not like the bill was going to be small with so many of us. The pub was freezing cold, very few staff, the food was sparse and cold for several of us. The burgers were definitely old and barely re heated . I have been here a few times in the last year and never had a problem, but I felt embarrassed as we had suggested the pub to the family ,but I am afraid it will be the last time for us , we eat out several times a year as a family ,so it's their financial loss ,not the best for business is it? , a shame really. Responding to your reply , that is not true , there was mocking and you were very blunt to my daughter with absolutely no way ! ,my daughter definitely mentioned the voucher to you , she told me immediately after she called you , of course you will say that and for your info I was very poorly very shortly after getting home , I suspect because the food was not hot , we will definitely not be returning with the attitude and poor food for some of us .

Thoroughly disappointing, to the point that we left before ordering. 1. The Tuesday special cider (Strongbow) was no longer stocked but I was told I’d have to pay extra for another cider. 2. We weren’t greeted at the door 3. The table varnish was sticky So we left and went to your sister pub The Woodman. What a difference! So glad we did.

The food was very good. Many options on the menu and reasonable price. Great service too.

I came in on really rainy day in the cold and I wasn’t really in a good mood. But I immediately changed my attitude when my server who is called Conor cheered me up and was very friendly and the (really handsome) bar man Dan really made my day as well. So the service was lovely and the overall at atmosphere came from the service and how clean and nice the pub is. The food was really good as well came out in a decent time and I really liked my spicy burger( I took the Jalap’s out as im not fan) but I enjoyed it regardless, I also enjoyed some of the hunters chicken of my dads plate which was good. And the hotdog looked amazing from my sister plate. So I enjoyed the food. Overall experience was good and would recommend further

Always fantastic food at great price, friendly staff and lovely service

This was the annual Christmas Dinner of a group of local Church Bell ringers. There were over twenty in the group and we all enjoyed the festive menu. This was well prepared and served in a good time and the service throughout by the staff was excellent. Everybody was well pleased with the food and service and already are saying we must come again next year. Thank you to ALL the staff involved.

My local pub - been coming here for years. Service always comes with a smile, good prices, and a nice atmosphere. We had Christmas Eve dinner here and everything was lovely. Connor in particular took good care of us. Will happily keep coming here, and not just because it’s a 5 minute walk from home.

As ever, The Pure Drop is the place to go for that pre-Christmas dinner drink. Once was my local for a time, it still remains where I’d go for my Christmas pint of Guinness. The landperson and her team have created an environment of joy and laughter. You’d be foolish to not stop in for a festive drink. Merry Christmas

We have just returned home from a fabulous Xmas lunch. The atmosphere and food was perfect and we could not ask for better. Thanks to all of you who made this possible. We will certainly be returning next year for Xmas day as the service was second to none.

Friendly welcome. Dog friendly. Good drink selection. You get what you pay for food wise. Atmosphere is a bit flat but not surprising for such a large pub. Great in summer for sitting outside.

I visited with my family for a lunch together. Staff were friendly, welcoming and professional and there was a good variety of food to suit everyone from the 3 year old to the grandparents. Service was prompt and the food was good. A great venue for family gathering.

What an awful experience…….we booked a table of 3 due to hearing good recommendations from friends…..that was our first mistake. We all ordered the roast dinner, and after observing several tables receiving their food when they arrived after us - we eventually (55 mins) received ours. The second mistake was ordering the roast dinners, inedible is a kinder way in describing the plates of food that was placed in front of us. The Yorkshire pudding alone was as thin as rice paper….and just as inedible. We asked to speak to the Manager, who was unavailable and we were directed to the Shift supervisor. We explained the huge disappointment, inedible food and the horrific wait - this was met with apologies and offered us alternatives. This food was far superior and very enjoyable. Upon leaving we were not offered any type of refund/discount as the roast was preordered and was more expensive than the alternative. The wait alone was shocking, the food was pretty awful that we had preordered. Maybe an ‘off day’ for the Chef & kitchen staff - but we will not be returning sadly and supporting local businesses.

Came in Sunday,,, Table booked for 1pm. 3 of Us,,, Meeting up after the passing of my daughter in October… As was told Roast Dinners are great…. We weren’t told there was going to be a wait, 45 mins later,,, 2 roast beef & a roast turkey… Yorkshires like pancakes,,, and undercooked, Veg was cold,,, And Beef like door stops… We had our plates taken,, And reordered from the Menu,,, Which was hot and ok… It didn’t seem to be busy at all,,,,

It might be a good idea to inform people that for the lunchtime deal that people need to order the sweet with the main meal, not all people can read menus due to dyslexia or visual impairments. Group orders should be done together as some got theirs and we had to wait for the rest. The food was good and no complaints there on the menu it said ice cream sundae but it was really 3 scoops of ice cream with some cheap sauce, the menu should have said ice cream with sauce. Apart from my comments the meals were good pub clean and tidy and staff were ok.

Absolutely appalling meal. Don't tend to leave negative reviews but was seriously disappointed with our experience at this pub and will not be returning. 4 of us went out for dinner and three of our meals where almost inedible. The Thai curry was just spicy water and the beef in my roast dinner was impossible to cut or chew. No one came to ask how are meals were and when we went to the bar both to mention the food and to order an ice cream, there was no staff on duty. As we had paid when we ordered, we eventually had no choice but to just leave our uneaten and uncleared away plates on the table. Worst it would be unfair to expect particularly special food at this fairly low end pub, I don't think it is unfair to anticipate that it would have been edible.

The Pure Drop is a very typical suburban pub, and is obviously trying very hard to build itself a good place in the community. Service for food and drinks was prompt and efficient, and the food itself was very good. Okay, it's a pretty standard "pub menu", with the usuals - mixed grill, fish and chips, burgers, pies, etc, but it was nonetheless served quickly, the food was good quality, tasty and hot! The pub also hosts a number of varied activities, including quizs, raffles, live music - a brass band playing Christmas Carols on our visit was lovely. We'll definitely be visiting again.

We had a great time at the Pure Drop tonight. We only went for a drink but the food looked great so we decided to eat as well. The bar staff were entertaining and fun and the food was great. Thank goodness I didn't drive as the atmosphere in there was very morish and I had one more drink than I meant. I'll sleep well. Thank you all for a very enjoyable evening. We'll be back.

Lovely friendly service received from Ali, nothing was too much trouble. Reasonable pricing for food and drinks especially as there are some offers around, dog friendly, food came out piping hot, overall a great experience.

The pub had a reasoanble number of people there but was not busy. There was only a barmaid and a waiter in view. I ordered drinks, a Hunters Chicken and Scampi. We had a fair wait before our order came out, although drinks were promptly provided. My scampi was the usual pub fare and acceptable. However, my wife's Hunters Chicken had virtually no BBQ sauce. We eventually attracted the waiter's attention who then dashed off to the kitchen. A little while later he rurned with a small pot of COLD sauce. He was told that this was not acceptable. Finally a sauce boat of hot BBQ sauce was provided. All of this took some time and I had nearly finished my scampi before my wife started her chicken. The meal had gone cold but at least the sauce warmed it up. We had desert and coffee elasewhere.

Highly recommend this place, every time I’ve come I’ve been impressed with how nice the staff are, aswell as how good the food and drinks are. Given the price of beer nowadays it’s annoying when it’s flat or tastes off and you see that often nowadays, but at this pub it’s always been really good quality, served well and great every time. The food honestly is amazing too, we love the Tuesday burger deal and you get so much for your money, it’s amazing. The staff are always so nice, every time we’ve come they’ve all been so friendly and welcoming. We just went Tuesday and the guy in the restaurant and the lady at the bar were both so friendly. Honestly the best pub in Ferndown, can’t recommend it enough as I will be going a lot more frequently now. 10/10

Every time I’ve come here honestly it’s been amazing. I like beer enough to know lots of pubs it’s not served very well or it’s flat and it’s abit disappointing, but every time I’ve come here it’s been amazing. The drinks are always really good quality, and also the food has been amazing every time. The staff are so friendly aswell. The Tuesday burger and drink deals are my favourite, best pub in Ferndown in my opinion highly recommend

I'm sorry but the food wasn't worth the price I paid. I have the Phillips steak baguette. Unfortunately the steak was way over cooked and chewy and there was like no cheese 😕 even though it was stated in the menu. Otherwise nice place

Yet another great experience at the Pure Drop, this time for a small family get-together and we were all hugely impressed! The place was vibrant, welcoming, clean and bright and the staff greeted us very courteously and professionally. The food was excellent and really fantastic value for money. My son and I enjoyed the "Thursday steak and a drink" offer while the remainder took advantage of a deal offering 30% of all main courses. There can't be many places these days where four people can enjoy a great meal with a couple of drinks each for under £20 per head. We will DEFINITELY be back. Many thanks to everyone at the Pure Drop - keep up the great work!

Visted with friends. From arrival we were made to feel welcome. Good friendly service and an absolute amazing meal. One of our party has diary requirements and amendments were made to suit their needs. On the whole visit nothing was too much trouble. We will be coming back for sure.

I pop in on Monday it was steady but was served by Conor very quickly I saw they had a deal for every day of the week as it was Monday I had the pie and drink deal I have to say the presentation was awesome and it was amazing will definitely be coming back and would 100% highly recommend.

This pub just gets better and better, lovely meal again tonight...had the steak which is always great but the whole experience is down to the amazing staff. CONOR in particular, what a switched on young man, smile on his face, making sure customers are happy, lovely way to spend an evening. If you haven't been, do go. We'll done all of you, we'll be coming back yet again!

We had read that this pub needed some support due to a drop in trade as a result of roadworks. We decided to give it a try for drinks and see if could become our new 'local'. Sadly it was not a great experience. I stood patiently at the bar to get a drink and watched with dismay at locals getting served before me. Upon complaining I was told that the young barman was new. We then sat down to have our drink and unbeknown to us we had sat in an area of the pub which was soon to be set up for a quiz night. The person running the quiz night turned up and began to set up. More locals then arrived and began to occupy the tables round us. This was fine but when one of the locals began chatting to the man setting up the audio equipment for the quiz we heard the comment "Don't know who these 2 are". So with being ignored at the bar and clearly being sat 'in the way' we didn't feel welcome at all. We drank up and soon left.

5* isn’t high enough for this business. Having worked in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years, including vast Managerial experience and I have never experienced such a first class customer service in a Pub in the UK. When I visit a new place, the first thing I check is the toilet, if the toilet is clean then everywhere else is clean I know that, but this place is clean in every aspect, the carpet on the floor, all windows, handles, bar mat, the whole team is incredibly accommodating with a big smile on the face which you wouldn’t get in most full table service Restaurant. The whole environment has a wonderful atmosphere, the garden very quiet and well presented, Francies the General Manager really gives a lot of love to her Restaurant as well as the team, I know from experience it is hard to manage a Pub like this these days considering the recent climate and even the road works makes it very challenging. I lift my hats off for Francies and her team oh and please tip sometimes if you can they would feel more appreciated.

Our waitress Evelynn looked after us all really well 😊 We had a small issue with one of our orders, on this occasion but it was resolved swiftly & efficiently by both Glenn & Evelynn. We always say, it's not the problem but how you deal with it. We would definitely recommend The Pure Drop both for food or just a casual drink.
