The service was friendly. The tables all presented well, and were clean and well lit. The range of drinks was good. The food was absolutely wonderful, did not take too long to arrive, and as two of us are vegetarians, it was great to have a good choice. The prices were reasonable too, especially with the 30% off voucher on main courses! The sweet was too tempting to ignore, and delicious when it arrived. The portion size was just right too. The rest of the pub was clean and welcoming, and the toilet was the same. Disabled parking was close to the building for convenience. All in all I'd rate the experience @ 99%. The only thing taking it off 100% is that the Disabled parking bay was not very clearly marked. However, all in all it was a throughly enjoyable experience. We don't live in the immediate area, but our friend does, so we shall hope to meet her again in your pleasant surroundings, for another excellent meal, in the future. Thank you, and well done to all the staff.

This pub just gets better and better, lovely meal again tonight...had the steak which is always great but the whole experience is down to the amazing staff. CONOR in particular, what a switched on young man, smile on his face, making sure customers are happy, lovely way to spend an evening. If you haven't been, do go. We'll done all of you, we'll be coming back yet again!

I recently visited Pure Drop and had an outstanding experience. The food was absolutely delicious. On top of that, the customer service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere!

We had read that this pub needed some support due to a drop in trade as a result of roadworks. We decided to give it a try for drinks and see if could become our new 'local'. Sadly it was not a great experience. I stood patiently at the bar to get a drink and watched with dismay at locals getting served before me. Upon complaining I was told that the young barman was new. We then sat down to have our drink and unbeknown to us we had sat in an area of the pub which was soon to be set up for a quiz night. The person running the quiz night turned up and began to set up. More locals then arrived and began to occupy the tables round us. This was fine but when one of the locals began chatting to the man setting up the audio equipment for the quiz we heard the comment "Don't know who these 2 are". So with being ignored at the bar and clearly being sat 'in the way' we didn't feel welcome at all. We drank up and soon left.

Yet another great experience at the Pure Drop, this time for a small family get-together and we were all hugely impressed! The place was vibrant, welcoming, clean and bright and the staff greeted us very courteously and professionally. The food was excellent and really fantastic value for money. My son and I enjoyed the "Thursday steak and a drink" offer while the remainder took advantage of a deal offering 30% of all main courses. There can't be many places these days where four people can enjoy a great meal with a couple of drinks each for under £20 per head. We will DEFINITELY be back. Many thanks to everyone at the Pure Drop - keep up the great work!

Great place to take whole family

We had a lovely time and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was really good and I was so impressed with the vegan/dairy free options for my 2 boys with milk allergies. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, and outside area. Overall very happy and would definitely recommend and will be returning! Thank you!

5* isn’t high enough for this business. Having worked in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years, including vast Managerial experience and I have never experienced such a first class customer service in a Pub in the UK. When I visit a new place, the first thing I check is the toilet, if the toilet is clean then everywhere else is clean I know that, but this place is clean in every aspect, the carpet on the floor, all windows, handles, bar mat, the whole team is incredibly accommodating with a big smile on the face which you wouldn’t get in most full table service Restaurant. The whole environment has a wonderful atmosphere, the garden very quiet and well presented, Francies the General Manager really gives a lot of love to her Restaurant as well as the team, I know from experience it is hard to manage a Pub like this these days considering the recent climate and even the road works makes it very challenging. I lift my hats off for Francies and her team oh and please tip sometimes if you can they would feel more appreciated.

Our waitress Evelynn looked after us all really well 😊 We had a small issue with one of our orders, on this occasion but it was resolved swiftly & efficiently by both Glenn & Evelynn. We always say, it's not the problem but how you deal with it. We would definitely recommend The Pure Drop both for food or just a casual drink.

Service was slow, understandable with only two front of house colleagues working, they were both friendly and polite, clearly working hard. The steaks were average, insufficient staff for a promotional deal night.

Quiet because of the roadworks at the moment

Me and my boyfriend came down from London and we stopped by The Pure Drop. I am so glad we did! We were served by Alisha who couldn't do more for us, she was bubbly and friendly and had lots of knowledge. They have a wonderful selection of drinks but the Guinness was the best I've had!! It's beautiful pub, credit goes to Frances and her team. And the best part is they are dog friendly!!

Best Sunday dinner in Ferndown. Frances and Alishia were amazing made us feel comfortable and welcome. Oh and the food was to die for. This pub is a credit to the company and definitely best pub in Ferndown!!!!

Ella the server was AMAZING couldn’t have done more, manager Glen AWFUL! So rude from the start, shut early and didn’t call last orders just so rude and will not be returning!!

So glad we gave it a second try. A few years ago we had a meal that was disappointing so vowed not to return. Today, we gave it another chance and we were extremely impressed. The food was high quality despite the more-than-reasonable prices. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly, especiallyAnna whowas extremelyfriendlyandhelpful. . We will be back soon.

Booked through friends.. DISGUSTING SERVICE.. NOT RECOMMENDED.. Visted 100s of Pubs & Resurants with our friends & never left a bad review like this" But this review is well deserved.. Arrived at 7pm Shown to our table. 20mins later still no service? Went to bar to remind them we our still waiting & ordering Drinks . Very Slow Service.. Received Bill paid Split down middle with our friends plus left a tip? Got home & found out they have added 3 drinks to our bill totaling £16+ Emailed them no Response for a day or so? Rang just got Answer Machine. Rang again got through & the Phone was hanged up on my friend " When we eventually got a call back we Promise after Promise Basically just giving us the Run around !! The Manager Francis as been Not Helpful " I'm getting it sorted " I'm getting sorted " But unfortunately not getting nothing Sorted . Full of Hot Air I'm sorry to say" We Won't be coming back.. UPDATE ON REPLY FROM LANDLADY? REVIEW WAS ACCURATE " But No Mention of any APOLOGY for the Bad Service in any Correspondence ??????

Once again, the team the Pure Drop have smashed it! Upon arriving a little later than planned to watch the England Semi Final, myself and my friends were immediately served with a smile. We enquired about the possibility of seating in the already packed pub to catch a view of the game, and no request was too big. We were fully accommodated and towards the end of the night received in a bite to secure a table and seating for the final. 10/10 from the landlady Frances, and an enthusiastic young gentleman called Dan. As always, would highly recommend

Come in often for a drink after work… This place has exactly what you need to unwind. Great staff, great pints, great atmosphere. What more could you want.

Great Cats Protection charity quiz night last night with a lovely meal and great atmosphere. Glenn, Ella, Evelynn, and Owen at the Pure Drop looked after us all while the CPL entertained us. Great evening and will definitely be returning.

Great evening at CP charity quiz

We attended last night for the Cats Protection pub quiz. We had a very enjoyable evening with good food, a good drink and a wonderfull atomosphere. The whole team really worked hard int he background to make sure we were all well looked after whilst we took part in the quiz. Thank you.

I put a very good review on Trustpilot so although 4* for food on here this doesn’t in any way reflect an average experience. We have been here a few times and always found the staff very polite, friendly, helpful and accommodating. They are a credit to this establishment. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and it’s great value for money and with offers like the 30% off vouchers makes it a very affordable meal out. So we will definitely be back and would thoroughly recommend the Pure Drop pub and restaurant. Compliments to the staff 👍🏼

My wife and I had arranged to meet 4 friends for a drink and possibly eats,we all came in separately and were all asked on our arrival "had we booked?" even though the pub wasn't that busy.Made all of us feel like we weren't welcome unless we had booked a table and were having food.Albeit we all eventually had a meal and the food was well prepared and the service was very good we all felt that we should not be made to feel guilty if we were there just for a drink.

I am a solo American traveler making my way through Europe to expand my view on the world, starting with southern England as it is my my heritage and where my family has deep roots. Truly, to my enjoyment, I was recommended to this classic English pub. For my American friends, when you envision a classic pub look no further! Smart staff, authentic HOT food, perfect pints, and a hilarious manager made my multiple visits here a delight. The fact that by my second visit here most of the staff remembered my name and even my drink order I really felt like a local and made my experience such a delight! So for those passing through and those who live around the corner, look no further for your next dinner, drinks, game night than the pure drop!

Good atmosphere, good food, good service

Welcomed as soon we entered the restaurant and shown to our table, even though my friend and I were early. Excellent service all round from Connor, Ella and Owen and all three were friendly and cheerful and nothing too much trouble. Will be back soon!

We popped in for a spur of the moment family meal and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The food was nice, standard pub grub; it took an extra 15 minutes to come out but this was due to an accident in the kitchen. The waiting and bar staff kept us informed the whole time. We are looking forward to visiting again.

We booked a table using the online booking service, received a confirmation email to say our table was booked for 18:30. We arrived at 18:20 and were greeted by a pleasant young man at the door who informed us that there was no table available. When asked why? we were informed the online booking system doesn’t work but unfortunately they have no control over it and that the issue of people using the online system and then turning up to find they have no table is a common occurrence! I suggest if the system doesn’t work you either fix it or stop using it, having been turned away even though we had a booking means I won’t use your restaurants again, I will use one where I know once booked I will actually have a table. On this occasion we were lucky to find a local restaurant that managed to squeeze us in on a Friday evening even though we had no booking so we would be more inclined to use them again than yourselves. I would love to hear your thoughts on this and why it is such a problem for you to have a booking system that works, we eat out very regularly and have never had this issue before.

The steak and ale pie was fine but not brilliant. Fish and chips was good. Service .... Owen, was very attentive and gave us excellent service.

Nice pub garden & good atmosphere

Food portions are extremely small for the price. Service was poor. I was there a total of 3.5hrs due to waiting times for waiters to take drinks orders, food orders, deserts and then the bill. Unacceptable considering the restaurant was empty.

Came in wìth family for a bank holiday treat. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Lovely food came out hot and well presented. When the sun came out we got to enjoy the large beer garden. Overall a perfect day.

Pure Drop is the perfect place to come if you enjoy a good family meal out or even on your ones. The staff are friendly, professional and really on top of service. The food comes out fresh and accommodations are always welcome which is super helpful for us picky eaters! Beautiful inside and out and I cannot suggest a better place in the area if I tried ❤️

The food was fine if a little luke warm. The server, while pleasant, was a little too attentive in the fact that he kept coming back to ask if everything was OK so often it was a bit over the top. Other than that, we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.

We wanted to try somewhere other than our usual haunts - Curlew, Angel, Horns, Bear Cross. Checked the menus & read the reviews & all seemed good. Went online to book the table, all good except found it odd that you have to select a duration time for your meal. Friday evening. Arrived at the pub. A sign at the door says wait to be seated. Waited for 5 mins & ignored until a barman shouted over to just go & sit where you like. Went to a table. All of the chairs were grubby with food stains & had to swap one of them as it was so badly stained & the foam was poking out through a hole in the fabric. The window by the table was dirty, as was the window sill & the radiator by the table had rust showing through flaking paint. If I hadn't been with my elderly parents for a celebratory meal I would have left at this point. Alisha was our waitress (predominantly) & she was friendly & efficient, as were the other staff. The food was average with 3 of our 4 meals being disappointing. The Hunter's chicken had only a teaspoon of sauce (not smothered) & thus was dry. The lasagne was only just hot enough & was bizarrely served in an old enamel dish. The steak was undercooked & 50% was inedible, being full of fat & gristle. If 1 dish had have been inadequate we would have complained but as 3 were we felt too embarrassed to. The desserts faired slightly better although the banoffee chocolate tart had no taste of banana & the custard portion for the apple crumble was stingy. The prices were reasonable - another reason we accepted the poor quality. We joked that in comparison Weatherspoons up the road might have been better. You get what you pay for! The pub layout was good, liked the outdoors seating & the atmosphere was relaxed & friendly. The bar was busy but the restaurant not so. Seemed more geared up to the workers from the industrial estate stopping for a drink on the way home. Overall impression, disappointing food & won't bother again. Lesson learned.

I sent an enquiry for a booking of 14 people. I was contacted immediately by Alisha who was really helpful. The food was excellent quality and very good value. Absolutely every one of the 14 thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The staff - ALL of them were so friendly and helpful - a credit to the pub. Would not hesitate to recommend or visit again.

Overall pleased to go out on Easter Day but scampi and chips, only 10 chips and small spoonful of mushy peas!! When asked for some more tartare sauce was told that would be extra!!!. Roast chicken , plenty of vegetables but Yorkshire pudding was very soggy and based barely cooked. The carrots over cooked and limp. Staff happy and cheerful

i booked a table for 13.30 and buy the time the food arrived 45 minutes had elasped, and when my main course arrived from the lunch time special which i new would be smaller than a regular main was very disappointed to get a piece of fish not much bigger than a fish finger

Lovely food great service and good location

Friendly staff, came in for late lunch, good beer and reasonably priced food. We had a sharing starter of Chicken Wings which were very tasty, as was the Beef Madras Curry and rice, which came with a poppadom, naan and mango chutney. The Fish and chips were very good too, lovely white fish and great crispy chips. Great food and Evelyn, who looked after us, was very friendly and professional. One addition that would be a good idea would be hand wipes for after eating the chicken wings.
