Used to come in regularly but it smells of sick in here and although they know it they don’t seem to be fixing it. Have popped in twice since Xmas and still the same, they need to fix it as plenty of people I know are avoiding it until they do.

Warm lager. Pints served in glasses that are not pint glasses, ripping off locals and tourists for years and getting away with it… Place needs weights and measures to visit.

We always go to the Tap house when we visit Wimborne for the quality of drink they serve. This evening my wife chose to have a glass of Rose. Which to be totally honest was just like paint stripper and totally in drink able! When we mentioned it to the lady behind the bar she didn’t really seem that bothered.

Kate, the owner gave us a warm welcome. Great choice of real ales, ciders and good wines too. Buzzing atmosphere and lovely venue. Cindy, the other lovely member of staff could not have been more accommodating. Can see theY genuinely love what they do and it shows in the whole package. Wish it was my local but 400 miles is a bit of a stretch to travel for a pint. Worth a stop and definately worth the wait if they are busy.

Great service. Good menu. Popped into the shop and realised the bar was open. We decided to have a beer. Staff were friendly. It was spotless including the toilets. I watched staff sanitising the cruets and surfaces. We perused the menu and decided to stay for an early lunch. Had sandwiches.Great fillings. Served promptly. Roll let it down a little. Warm and crusty but got hard very quickly. We will return and try a main meal. Nice exit route through some brewery memorabilia

The Taphouse is one of the friendliest places in Wimborne. There is always a hello from the bar staff as you walk through the door which immediately makes you feel welcome. Lots of choice of local ales and ciders and great choice of wines for a small pub.I have been a regular at ‘The Tap’ as we call it for several years now and have had many great times there - I’ve also made lots of friends and will continue to be a “Regular’ for the foreseeable future.

I've been going to the Tap House since it opened a few years ago and it was just what Wimborne desperately needed! It's a proper pub just selling drinks but it would be nice if the spicer olives were brought back. There's always a great choice of ales and ciders to choose from and what's even better it's over 21's only so no nonsense in there! Apparently if you're a CAMERA member it's only £3.50 a pint! All the staff are so friendly and helpful especially the manager. There's always someone you can talk to with a great set of regulars for some banter and there's even a CIC section.Keep up the good work!

Just heard the Taphouse have cancelled a professional musician from playing a pre booked gig on Sunday 25th because he is playing the night before at another venue in Wimborne. Has also cancelled another date with the same musician for the same reason. Thank goodness this isn't the norm for most establishments or The Beatles would of been still playing at The Cavern and no where else ??

I have very few favourite places that I regularly visit in my quest for good ale and conversation and this is one of them. My wife and I try to make it in for a visit most weekends. With up to 12 cask ales and a selection of ciders to choose from there's no problem finding something we'll like. Sixpenny IPA and Jaipur are two current favourites of mine, and the rhubarb cider my wife's. The staff are, without exception, friendly, efficient and, something less common these days, observant. The clientele on the whole are a warm and friendly bunch and there are always people to chat with. There's a meat draw on Saturday afternoons occasionally live music. All in all it's a recipe that almost perfect and a gem of a find in Wimborne!

As a northern drinker, I still find it hard to drink gravity-dispensed beer that looks like flat cold tea. Surely there must be room on that long bar for the odd hand pump or two to give some life to the otherwise wonderful beers? I see the keg beers have their taps. I tried a favourite of mine, Sixpenny IPA here yesterday, but compared to the same beer served through a hand pump, there really is no comparison.

I discovered The Taphouse in Wimborne about 2 months ago as a newcomer to the town.Obviously I did not know which pubs were popular so I just walked into The Taphouse and was greeted by a member of staff with " what would you like to drink darling" I think it was Jemma and it was just so friendly and the locals seemed to enjoy the pub.I continued to frequent the pub for a week to get to know people and I am still drinking there. The selection of ales is great and every member of staff is friendly and cope extremely well when the bar is busy. I now consider myself a local in The Taphouse as its a great bar for drinking and lots of banter, its not a restaurant that sells beer its a proper pub and every town should have a Taphouse but every town would not have the quality of staff that my new local has.

Although this place has a few pumps with nationally well known beers and lagers, their real forte lies in the casks of proper real ale. The staff always seem to know about the ales and how to serve it. There is always a friendly atmosphere, but I guess people who prefer somewhere with trendy with flashy lights, fruit machines and tasteless beer would be disappointed with the Taphouse. often has live music at weekends. This is an ale house that does not serve food, but there are plenty of other places to buy food in Wimborne.

I can‘t understand why there are so few places where the beer is allowed to go from cask to glass without interference from swan-necks and sparklers, which ruin it. The Tap House is one of the few. There is a better range of than some beer "festivals". The blackboard with a detailed list is a good idea and makes it easier to choose. I had a lovely pint of mild which was just right after a chilly autumnal stroll. The bar is cosy and popular with a varied clientele. Me and my friend entered the tap house at 4pm on a Saturday. When we went to get served we were told "we dont want your kind in here" when we asked why, the reply was just as rude as the first comment made. "I think you would be better suited to weatherspoons across the road". The most annoying part of this is we have drank there before and never had a problem. After being disgusted with how we had just been spoken to, we decided to go to the next pub. And what a gem we found. A pub called the Butchers dog. Has everything the tap house has plus tables to sit at and most importantly a friendly atmosphere and great beer.

After a enjoyable lunch in the local marina we decided to venture into Wimborne to a place my friends had been raving about. It was a Saturday afternoon and only a few people in there, so it looked good for a nice quiet pint. I entered with my friend and we both went to quickly use the gents. Whilst relieving ourselves someone quickly stuck there head round the door to see what we where doing in there! Whether they thought we only came in just to use the loo, I don't know. As we came out of the gents to order our drinks at the bar we got told by the very rude barmaid 'no, we don't serve your kind in here' at first we thought it was a joke about not being locals or something but when we enquirer further we were giving no explanation as too why and told 'your better suited in the wetherspoons over the road!' After being very embarrassed in front of the few locals in there we left feeling disappointed and annoyed at the sheer ignorance and small mindedness of the barmaid. We may have been in our mid too late 20's but just because both of us use your toilets as we walk in doesn't mean we are up to no good! I currently serve in the military and only get a spontaneous chances to go out and enjoy myself around here, but my friend has a large family to look after and also doesn't get much time to go out and relax. We both feel extremely offended and would not go back to the establishment without some sort of apologies or explanation.

Not a lot of seating but you expect this in this sort of place. Lady behind bar was very friendly and the place had a great atmosphere. Went in on a Monday night, noticed it was packed on Sunday.

Not the correct food bought to table, when queried, the waiter was rather rude and said he was 'only the messenger! Correct food came later no apologies from him. Later, went to use the toilets, now porter loos. Filthy, we left and found another place we were able to use!!

Popped in mid morning for a coffee, ended up with a delicious almond croissant to go with a latte! Really nice place to drop into, lots of delicious food and snacks to tempt you. Friendly staff, well decorated, clean and a nice ambience. Will drop in again.

Cantina is now under the new management of Janine, and she is providing a larger range of delicious breakfasts and lunches in this charming and well run cafe. There is outside seating if you prefer and a lovely welcoming atmosphere.

Popped in for a nice coffee after a long walk, and to sit in the sun in the Minster grounds, lovely service and really nice coffee, plus we were tempted by their amazing cakes!
