This pub had a lovely, friendly feel. There were lots of excellent ales available. I liked the book shelf where you could browse a book for a bit. I went on a Tuesday evening but saw that they had live music on a Saturday and from a local band.

The hotel itself is lovely. Great value for money. Will stay there again because they cater well for dogs. As far as food goes, go into Tetbury. We had the pan fried hake, squash soup and chips as an extra side. The hake was plain bad. The soup was ok but forgettable. The chips were undercooked. Everything including the wine was overpriced.

We had a wonderful stay. Our lakeside view room offered a stunning view, and the hotel itself was beautifully situated, surrounded by water. Fortunately, the weather was pleasant, allowing us to fully enjoy the nearby public walking path. The hotel has a pool located within the spa facility, which requires advance booking and a £10 fee per person. We’re not sure if it’s child-friendly, as it seemed more suited for adults.

The prices of the new menu are absurd.. £12 for a sandwich, £7.50 for a small sausage roll, £10 for a cheese and egg bap are the CHEAPEST options, the breakfasts are £14-16.. This is CIRENCESTER not Harrods Food Hall in London. The popularity has gone to your heads, greed is rife in the Cotsworlds!

Our first visit to The Bell, a last minute overnight booking on the way to Somerset. Everything was exceptional, but what was particularly memorable was the great service from all of the staff - bar, restaurant and breakfast. They clearly know how to recruit and train the right people. Already booked for our next one. Perfect in every respect, thank you.

The service was decent, and the price not excessive, but the food was nothing to write home about. Mussels in white wine sauce were tasty, but came in a thick creamy sauce which my daughter said was a little too thick and not as mussels in white wine sauce would usually be served. My starter of chorizo and ricotta calzone was ok, but the ricotta had badly curdled and was a strange consistency - likely due to being reheated for too long as too high of a temperature. The calzone dough was too thick and very bread like. The food was edible but not brilliant.

We ate at the Thai Emerald during our anniversary weekend. This is the second time we've visited - the first time almost exactly a year ago. The food is absolutely fantastic - probably the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand! The staff are very courteous especially if you attempt a little Thai language (which I'm terrible at by the way) and efficient. We'll be back again when next in Cirencester.

BEWARE! Not often that I feel the need to leave such a negative review. 4 years ago this was an Award Winning Restaurant and I have eaten there many times. Visited last week and had one of the worst and most expensive meals I have ever suffered. Smoked Haddock Cheese Soufle to start (£12), small dry and tasteless. Halibut main (£24), the smallest sliver of tasteless fish served with one potato, a few greens and some tasteless cold "butter sauce". Absolute disgrace, my friends "Whole" Plaice just as bad. Tiny portions of overpriced, tasteless food. Didn't bother with desserts, we went home and prepared some food as we were so hungry. You have been warned!

Aiden and his team provide a great service all around and the food menu is yummy. I meet here every 2 weeks for a networking breakfast for work, I am Flooring South West based in Tetbury. I always have a pleasant greeting. Driven team and lovely setting which is well worth a visit.

Don't be fooled by the lovely location. Like many promising restaurants they are let down by inexperienced and poorly trained staff. The head chef is not accountable for service. The sides for our table were not only missed off the order but also missed from the pass when it was handed over. Was there no one on the ball to actually check? No because no one is experienced or accountable for excellence. With so much choice it's worth it for a drink but we would never come back for the food or the dismal service. Why the head chef doesn't take ownership of staff training (taking orders) I do not know. His brigade is sweating it out cooking and he is letting them down.
