Aiden and his team provide a great service all around and the food menu is yummy. I meet here every 2 weeks for a networking breakfast for work, I am Flooring South West based in Tetbury. I always have a pleasant greeting. Driven team and lovely setting which is well worth a visit.

I booked afternoon tea for my grandparents, having found this hotel online when searching the local area. Service was really slow, given that it was not very busy/they were nowhere near at full capacity, but the food was lovely and there was plenty of it. Just wish I didn’t have to get up twice to find a waiter for service (and when I did get up, I struggled to find one or they were talking amongst themselves).

Excellent hotel with good service and facilities. We just stopped for the night on the way to Bibury (the fayre tale town) which is just 25 minutes away. We got the cheapest double room which was confortable and functional but the wiew was to an internal service corridor. I did not mind as we just checked out in the morning. The got good price booking from agoda. Like 20% less than others. The hotel has 4 EV slow charging points with type 2 connector. You need your own lead to use the app geting the qr code I reception to activate and pay.

I would particularly like to single out Emma, on reception whose personality shines through her professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble, and she responded swiftly and hopefully to the two or three requests we had for extra milk and any other questions et cetera; we decided to pay extra for the breakfast, and I’m very glad we did. I had the Cotswold breakfast and praised the chef because it was especially delicious. I have rarely raved so much about a mushroom! The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, parts of the building itself are clearly some kind of old Heritage building. My only suggestion would be that the insulation between the rooms – certainly rooms five and seven, we were in room five – be improved. Next time I would ask for a room with the view of the garden, as we looked out onto a rather dark and functional courtyard, which had some sort of extractor fan which chugged its way intermittently through the night ( in actual fact, if the fan had been continuous, it would’ve been easier to deal with!) I did point these out to reception and checking out, and the man in reception said he would look into the fan issue. Certainly for the money – we booked through Expedia.com – it was a very pleasant day and all the staff, as other reviews have said were extremely helpful, friendly and easygoing. It was my misunderstanding that one had to pay an extra £15 per person to use the spa, which also had to be booked, it was one of the reasons I booked thinking that it was a nice little touch, but of course as Emma pointed out, they would have to push their rates up if it were included in the price of the room and the stay. So five stars for the people stars for the, building/amenities

Lovely long weekend staying at Stratton's. Did not partake of the spa as thought prices quite high compared to where I live. Staff friendly. Will definitely return

This is a good hotel to stay in. It is reasonably priced and I organised a two night stay and meeting here for a work event. The thing that made this hotel was the fantastic staff, particularly Adrian who seems to be a real asset. The whole hotel is fairly old and the layout is strange but still it's full of Cotswold character.

We visited Stratton house for a spa package with afternoon tea. Unfortunately we left quite disappointed. The jacuzzi had some sort of issue in the morning so was only tepid. The area next to it was nice to relax in but the QR code to order drinks didn't work. The relaxation room wasn't very warm. Moving on to the afternoon tea, we were sat in a room on our own (no atmosphere. Even the music turned off at one point so we asked for them to turn it back on). The sandwiches were dry at the edges and the overall quality was lacking. We felt like a bit of an inconvenience. There were workmen walking around and even some drilling! It wasn't somewhere we felt relaxed enough to stay for long so we left early.

Lovely hotel with great members of staff who were friendly, courteous, helpful and charming. Look out for Jack and Adie serving breakfasts and in the bar (probably umpteen other jobs as well) they are amazing and such fun! Some members of our group experienced the spa and they all gave good feedback. Well done Stratton House, we'll be back!

The hotel is beautiful, and in a great location. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I can only give 2 stars as the walls are thinner than paper, we could hear absolutely everything from neighbouring rooms and did not get a good nights sleep. The bar is also extremely expensive. Also a shame that hotel visitors are not granted access to the pool, despite the rooms being relatively dear.

Called in in the morning as family members were staying there. The man on reception was as welcoming as a migraine. The room was small for the price. The shower installation was broken. The fitting on the slider rail was broken, so you had to hold the shower head to shower. The enclosure didn't work, so water sprayed over the outside wall and down the door to the bathroom, which caused the wood to swell. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, we were there for a 70th party. The manager has offered to refund the cost of breakfast. Will wait and see. It's not worth the money I paid for my stay. Other guests were surprised the spa didn't have a pool!!! It's now over three weeks and still no refund????

Lovely place to stay. Staff are so helpful and polite, food is lovely, and great to have the spa for a relaxing couple of hours. Only about 20 minutes walk into Cirencester town and such a lovely town with lots of independent shops and restaurants/coffee shops too. I would definitely recommend.

Stayed with my family. We checked in during the weekdays and it was sunny that day and our room was literally boiling and there was just a small fan which did not really help .

Went for a spa day as a birthday treat. Facilities were clean, afternoon tea wasn’t the best. Me and my partner are not hot drinkers but when the waiter asked us she gave a funny look and said “oh so no hot drinks or any drinks at all then” We had a 25 minute massage each and as a beauty therapist myself I didn’t enjoy and couldn’t relax. My therapist had a necklace on that was dangling on my back the whole time. She never asked if the pressure was okay and was sniffling the whole time which wasn’t very relaxing unfortunately. Lady at reception was polite though.

Went to the spa for an afternoon for a friends birthday. The receptionist who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful, couldn’t fault her! Facilities are good however we had the place to ourselves for a few hours yet there were lots of empty cups and glasses scattered around the spa still. Water hadn’t been refreshed either. Told we could stay until close (8pm) however before 7pm a different person on reception started to tidy up, close doors, etc which made us feel like we needed to leave. She didn’t acknowledge us and was not approachable. We used the changing rooms to get ready to leave and she came in there too making us feel rushed.

Was really excited to stay here. Paid full price so was expecting better. Very noisy banging coming from Air conditioning until gone 10pm when I requested it was turned off. Staff acknowledeged and turned off. Was turned back on briefly at 6am, then 6.30am briefly, then 7am and stayed on. I went to tge reception again and they turned off. Came back on at 8.30am. Room had black hairs in the bed, but was so tired I couldn't be bothered to complain. Time choice for breakfast was 7.30am or 9.45am. Neither was ideal, but had to go with 9.45am. Most things were empty, so had to ask for glasses, fruit, orange juice. Then the waitress was rushing around. Narrowly avoided me land then spilled hot coffee all over another guest. Due to this I was delayed eating my fruit, but nobody checked so my cooked breakfast arrived and left me eating my bowl of fruit held in my hand. Food was ok, but not to my taste, so I didnt eat much of it. Luckily managed to grab one of only 2 pastries left on the tray. Staff were apologetic, but in all a very disappointing experience. However, nice location, should have been a quiet break.

I stayed here for my first trip to England. I have a friend who lives locally and recommended this hotel. My husband and I were blown away with this hidden gem. First off the grounds are very nice and dog friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing. Every single one of them were so nice, and made the stay for us. The restaurant was very good and their afternoon tea was to die for. I plan on returning to England soon, and I will be coming back here.

2 night stay on a voucher stay including plentiful breakfast, dinner and welcome drink was very good value. Spacious spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable bed, good quality towels and linen. Lovely welcoming staff. Straight forward book in and confirmations at reception. Quaint old fashioned hotel, ideal for couples who just want a quiet break. Lovely location with nice gardens.

If you're in Cirencester and looking for exquisite food then make a visit to MBB Brasserie a priority. The scallops topped with caviar and served with a truffle foam are just outstanding , but then every dish we tried was of equal standard. The focus here isn't on just presentation its priority is flavour, and the flavours in this menu are just outstanding. I had tried the haddock as a main which could have been good but what elevated it to outstanding was the fact it was cooked to perfection and the flavour combined the grilled element with a hint of lemon that elevated this to an outstanding dish where it's all about flavour. The desserts are also a work of art but once again it's the flavours that win out. All of this is backed up by great service and a restaurant that is very well designed and stylish. Highly recommended.

Do not stay here while construction is being completed. Website says some noise disruption between 8 and 6 however we were awoken at 8.10 by our room shaking. This is not "some" noise disruption. Totally frightened my toddler who was awoken from his sleep. Staff within the establishment and in head office not bothered as we were advised of "some" noise. Not impressed at all! Have stayed in multiple locations and always been a great service. This is not what I was expecting from Premier inn. Would not recommend at all. I'm sure when construction is done it will be lovely however staff response has put us off returning.

Beautiful farm shop. Delicious food, particularly enjoyed their homemade pies. The butchery is really wonderful to see - not many places like it! Great selection of dry goods, deli, meat, fruit and veg. Friendly staff, easy to find, easy to park. What's not to like?!

We ate at the Thai Emerald during our anniversary weekend. This is the second time we've visited - the first time almost exactly a year ago. The food is absolutely fantastic - probably the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand! The staff are very courteous especially if you attempt a little Thai language (which I'm terrible at by the way) and efficient. We'll be back again when next in Cirencester.
