Visited in May. Overall not the best experience. If you sit in the courtyard then you have to go back inside order and pay, and wait by the computer for someone to become available. Whilst perusing the menu, I asked the waitress what cakes are on available l, she said look yourself there by the window - there’s too many to say….. another trip back inside. Nothing extraordinary, nice cake but lacks the customer service and welcoming ambiance other tea rooms have. Disappointing.

Popped in for lunch today and they were busy but staff soon got us seated and ready to order. We started with two pots of tea, one English Breakfast and the other Earl Grey nice and hot which soon warmed us up. We enjoyed smoke salmon over scrambled egg on white bread and cheesy scones with salad. Customer service was good within a busy tea room and they offered nice food and value for money.

The location is just opposite the town house, and the lady operating this place was very friendly. The room was comfortable but would have loved more power outlets. The breakfast was good, but would have preferred loose leaf teas for breakfast, rather than tea bagged teas. The hotel is stepped in history and overall, a pleasant place to stay in.

This place deserves to go out of business. The place is run by teenagers who seem openly hostile to the customers. We entered and immediately felt like the staff resented us for bothering them for tea on a Sunday afternoon. They never brought us any menus -- I had to go grab one from the hosting station. I then had to go ask them to come take our order. When our tea arrived and I poured my cup, a wilted piece of salad flowed from the teapot into my cup. Disgusting! When we asked for a replacement pot, there was a bunch of yelling between the staff. Furthermore, when I looked into the kitchen through a plexiglass window, the floor was filthy. We then had to hunt them down to pay, at which point they had the gall to ask if we had enjoyed our tea. Another reviewer hypothesized that the staff may be racist. This might play some role in my experience because some of our party were Asian, but no one in the restaurant looked happy with their experience, so don't count on having a good time just because you have white skin. This place obviously survives on the tourists like us who don't know that the place is terrible. There are some really great tea places in Chipping Campden. This place really should go out of business so someone who actually wants to run a tea house can replace it!

We called in twice over the weekend for breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful, we had the full cooked breakfast which is the best I have ever had, the toast is proper door steps with plenty of butter supplied . The coffee they use is also excellent, so much so I asked what it was and where to buy it from . The building is really nice , lots of history and exposed beams , the menu has the story of the tea room in it. And afternoon tea is available from 9:30am, I highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Cosy tearoom but the customer service was bad as they are overrun. We had a crowd gather round our table of customers either waiting to pay or asking where there food was and our pepper pot taken off our table and put on another's who had requested it. It was never returned to our table. They charge extra for baked beans and I've never heard of only being able to do a fried egg for a full English. When asked for it to be cooked a different way, I was told it would cost extra if I wanted it to be scrambled. You also have to pay an extra £1.50 for baked beans which seems strange when most offer it as part of the full English package. People complaining about where there food was, were simply told the 'chef is very busy'. While I get it was a busy Sunday, they should employ extra staff who are more experienced and improve on customer service so tables aren't stacked with crockery and a crowd gathering around the till. In contrast, Broadway Deli in Broadway was exceptional food and good customer service.

Went there for breakfast. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. Firstly, we were seated at an unclean table which had not been cleared since the prior customers. Second, the food was subpar. We ordered a scrambled eggs and toast, a mushroom and cheese omelette and two pieces of cake from the window. The omelette was a mess, an overcooked congealed mass of cheese within. They used low quality cheddar. The cakes were absolutely dry and probably days old. Disappointing experience and just goes to show the tourist trap like locations in Chipping Camden. Avoid.

We made the spontaneous decision to spend Valentine’s away this year, and were fortunate to find room to stay at the Bantam Tea Rooms. The BnB sits above a very quaint tea room which is lovely and bustling in the day filled with happy customers. For BnB guests, there is a brilliant range of breakfast offered (on the house) which we made full advantage of. Upon arrival, we were very happy to discover we had been upgraded to the best room in the house, free of charge. The room was situated on its own private floor which felt very far-removed and tranquil. Lovely view of the high street (can be a tad noisy at night, so bring ear plugs!). Bathroom was absolutely spotless and had clearly just been renovated. Lovely big bath and waterfall shower. Great to come back to the room after a long hike and have a luxurious bath! Good amenities such as a desk and TV. Would’ve been nice to have a hairdryer in the room, but not major. Just make sure to pack your own! All in all, the room was stunning, private and spotless. The Bantam Tea Rooms offers a lovely place to rest your head, for a brilliant price. And, a great breakfast come morning! We will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I stopped here for Breakfast today, and were blown away by the whole experience. The decor was stunning, with beautiful wood tables and lots of natural light. The menu was great, and offered lots of gluten free options (gf bread, cakes and SCONES!) which was a pleasant surprise and made it really hard to make a choice! I ended up going with the soup of the day (tomato and roasted red pepper) with a cheese toasty, and my husband had a full english. Honestly, it was perfection. The food was fresh and full of flavour. Worth noting that the bacon was perfectly crisped in the full english - SO GOOD. I’m always skeptic when i see outdoor/detached loos, but these were nicer than any i’ve been in before (see pictures attached). The coffee and service were also top notch. All round: we can’t highly recommend it enough!

What a lovely place with lovely people! We'd driven absolutely miles to "do a bit of the Cotswolds" one Saturday. My dearly beloved (i.e. boss) suggested we stop in for some tea as we traipsed up and down the High Street, and I was so hungry I said "Yes dear, of course", with every intention of having much more than a cup of tea. So the All Day Breakfast it was, then... Service really friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome (which is unusual in itself in the modern "hospitality" industry). But another reason I'm writing this is because of the breakfast. Honestly? I imagine you're saying. Yes, I reply. I don't think I've ever tasted one like it (sorry, dear) - everything so perfectly cooked and presented. Even the tea was good. So if you're in the area it's worth popping in to see what I mean. If I didn't live so exhaustingly far away I'd be in there every week. Of course, they've now just got to live up to what I've said. Hey ho. No pressure then.

We were incredibly impressed with quality of food and very tasteful interior style, so were extra disappointed when the service was so poor! Only two members of staff struggling to keep on top of all of the tables between them and seating countless new customers and without dealing with existing ones. After we had enjoyed our lunch we decided to order a drink and piece of homemade cake but never got to as we sat in front of our empty plates for half an hour before realising the only way people were managing to get the attention of staff was by forming a queue at their small till point. Having joined said queue to pay I was asked to bear with them a minute as they tried to work out which tables had been updated on their system, so sat back down and made friends with the two ladies next to us who were equally as confused that they had walked into such a lovely establishment but been left waiting with closed menus for half an hour. If they’d just had another two people serving and been a bit more organised the whole experience would have been a solid five stars so hopefully this situation was just a one off!

We are regular users of Premier inn and have found recently that we book online and add the cooked breakfast option but when we stay at the hotel there is NO cooked breakfast available. We are staying at Circenster and yet again NO cooked breakfast but will get a refund, this is happening too often with us. I'm told that the restaurant is closing shortly so they are running down the food, school holidays very poor from the owners of this company. It used to be brilliant at Premier inn but not now, how things change. May try Travelodge and eat out in future.

Very pleasant cafe with good food and service. Fairly expensive - yes, but I did have 4 cups of tea from my pot and they willingly supplied a second teabag. My cheese pastry was delicious and came with a few crisps, chutney and a little salad.
