The best restaurants in Newquay Central Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

5 stars for for this incredible venue, alway happy staff awesome food and service. Been coming here for years in the winter and for boardmasters. Constantly good and down to earth beach bar

Came at 7pm Friday September 27th, within opening hours as stated on the website (and Google maps), to find that it’s closed. If it’s closed during certain months of the year, they should either say on Google maps or state it on their website.

I had a 5 star experience because Michelle was amazing, made us feel right at home and best member of staff ever! :)

Had Green chilli a few times… had some really good ones! Unfortunately the last two orders have been massively lacking in flavour. I Will have to mention that the mint Rata looked like it would glow in the dark and even reminded me of a paint I would use in primary school which was entertaining yet concerning as It did make me question what on earth I was eating? Super sad to leave this poor review but I do it so as maybe you’ll buck your ideas up as it don’t look good for me ordering from GC in the future. Food always on time! Just a bit lacking.

Waited ages to take an order and waited an hour for our food in a half empty restaurant. Started taking our order then left to take another order halfway through. However food was really good.

Staff were rude. We booked a table for food and got given a table that was dirty and the staff member that seated us said she would 'come back and clean it if I have time'. It wasn't even very busy to warrant that response, when we ordered drinks they were thrown onto the table and staff were extremely rude. When we asked to order food, we were abruptly told the kitchen is closed then walked off. About 20 minutes later we asked again ask we saw food comong out of the kitchen, we were told that we could order food, depending on what it was, when the staff member come back she said that it didnt say on the booking that we wanted food eventhough we had bookiled it under the food section on the website. We ordered and it took an hour to even come out. We will not be dining here again!

So we were encouraged by the great reviews and had been passed on several occasions and it looked a nice clean place with a stunning view. We went on a Tuesday and it was really quiet, place was clean and we had a great table, unfortunately the orange juice was out of a carton….not expected for the price we paid. We then ordered our food, my ceased salad was lovely. The chicken burger average and my partners mixed grill was inedible….the chicken was black and missing onion rings. We mentioned to the server who replaced it within 5 mins we felt this was quick for a fresh mixed grill…again all on the crispy side and the chicken heavily seasoned. Gutted as we had looked forward to this. We weren’t asked if we wanted desserts or to see a menu. So we left disappointed.

Food greasy and flavourless, the guy cooking looked dirty and unhygienic Lady behind the counter seemed OK but came and sat next to us outside which I found uncomfortable, wouldn't return

Food was disappointing and did not taste nice. Everything was mediocre at best, just go to the thai restaurants in Newquay instead and don't bother with the chinese until they improve.

Collected take away after realising all local Thai/Chinese places have closed or moved on, Wah Hing seems to be the only place left this side of town.Don't eat in unless you like old school town hall furniture and a vibe that didn't exist accompanied by people looking at you whilst collecting there take away. The food was good and it's reasonably priced, delivery outside of Newquay is £5 extra.

We stopped here after a long journey for pizzas. They were really tasty. Great menu. Stunning spot, the sunset was spectacular. Staff were really helpful at finding us a table even though it was really busy.

Great for footy, great for pool, good times when I was there

It was not possible to call the restaurant to amend my address and request cutlery. They didn’t add any serviette either. There was no choice for drink.
