The best restaurants in Newquay Central Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

I can't believe no one has reviewed this cafe yet. We had a fabulous breakfast there for thge second week in a row, good coffee and a hearty meal.... you won't want anything else for the next eight hours

We had a meal from these guys very good price and served by a lovely man , the food was a bit under seasoned, they really need to add fresh coriander , creamier and better vegetables in the curry, if they did they would be amazing food. Thank you

I cannot believe a pub can have no white wine. I live locally and have been coming to the Red Lion for years and enjoy Tuesday night quiz. Tonight I booked a table to eat and stay on for the quiz, when we were asked for our drink order we were told that they had no white wine and as a real ale pub only limited choice of beer. When the food arrived we were disappointed at the size of two of the meals and the quality of the Caesar salad which was not as described in the menu. We did not complain due to there only one member of staff serving the food for the whole of the pub and it was not her fault. We paid the bill and left not staying for the quiz which was the main reason for visiting the pub. We will not be doing this again the pub has gone down hill since the change of management. The problems are nothing to do with the staff but are to do with bad management.

My wife and I and our 3 Labrador pups called in here today for lunch whilst on holiday. OMG the fish & chips were amazing. The cod was so fresh and cooked to perfection it was mouth watering. The lady who served us was a shining example to all retail staff, her politeness and attitude toward us was a throw back to the great British values long past and forgotten. We ate on the tables outside and seeing we had our hands full with our 3 labs she so kindly bought our cups of tea out to us then went in and found a plastic container and filled it with cold water and bought it out for our dogs and as if that wasn't enough she then returned with 3 cooked sausages for them one each. Now during a busy lunch service if that isn't going above and beyond then i don't know what is. The lady is a legend in our eyes in this crazy world we live in where kindness and respect has long gone she has renewed our faith in humanity. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Newquay the food is amazing and the service is fantastic. Priceless in our eye's. Richard & Suzanne 🇬🇧😊👍

Came at 7pm Friday September 27th, within opening hours as stated on the website (and Google maps), to find that it’s closed. If it’s closed during certain months of the year, they should either say on Google maps or state it on their website.

Love it,beautiful food,cooked fresh to order,always polite,friendly and professional same as delivery drivers,never had a problem,they are honest if a wait and will tell you when ordering,so when people complain it baffles me!!

I have ALWAYS been a loyal customer to Barnecutts, but I tried the Cornish Oven purely out of curiosity yesterday, and again today. 😅 Long story short, the price, the taste, the quality of your pasties, is FAR better than anything Barnecutts offer, I just wish I'd tried this place sooner! Bye bye Barnecutts, hello Cornish Oven.

Lovely place to eat in peace while listening to nice music. I've been there 2 times and always was happy with food, drinks and service :) and the terrace sunset view makes the experience even nicer !

We saw this place and decided to give it a try whilst in area. A really good pizza. Salami had a real bite to it and the pineapple on the other pizza was fresh. Drinks a bit pricey but all was good.

We had a better than expected experience. I was worried that, having not been able to book, we would be turned away or have a long wait. However, after a warm welcome at the door, we were shown straight to our seats. The staff all were all friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean, and warmly decorated. We each had a curry, one cod, one veggie with a side of battered scallops. Tasty and warm. Only downside was it was served in a cardboard bowl, but not a problem really. The puddings are cute- served in a glass jar with a screw top so you can take one away for later if you’d like. We were one of the last ones in there, close at 8pm, but we didn’t feel like they were wanting us to leave. Very happy.
