I always love coming here for the tasty food as well as the friendly staff and gorgeous views

Great evening at this Amazing venue. Forgot how great this place is as it’s nearly ten years since I last visited. The restaurant has fantastic views overlooking Newquay bay. The atmosphere in the evening is cosey yet sophisticated. And the food is also top notch.I went for the mixed salad,BBQ burnt ends Romana pizza and sticky toffee pudding, all of which went down a treat. Service was good,there were plenty of staff milling around and prices were very reasonable I thought. I definitely won’t be leaving it so long since my last visit to return to this Newquay Gem X

Love it here. Amazing views. Favourite pizza chain. Ask for you pizza to be well done, always comes out nice and crispy. Not floppy.

One of the best pizzas we have had in a pizza express for along time plus the waitress gave me an extra large portion of tiramasu as was a standing joke that every time I had ordered it it was sold out in other establishments

We went on a rainy Tuesday night - the restaurant was quite busy - we were seated at a small table (there were 2 of us) which would have been very cramped if they had seated people at the table next door - we were lucky it stayed empty. Ordered doguh balls pizza and wings. Nothing special about it but nothing bad about it either - just typical pizza restaurant - the wings however were not crispy skinned and the lemon pepper was a bit heavy on lemon. service was good - but all in all we got what we expected in a Pizza Express

Got a delivery for dinner as a treat, ended up having to call in sick for work as got food poisoning 😭 never eating here again

Very friendly staff, the views from the restaurant are amazing, and it is nice to sit outside and look at the beach. It's even nice to sit inside on a rainy day. The pizzas are always cooked very well and extremely delicious. I often order for collection and the pizzas have always been perfectly cooked. I gave 4 stars, only because on a few occasions when I’ve collected my pizza (at the allocated collection time), it has been slightly cold. Apart from this minor issue, I really like the pizzas and I would highly recommend the Gluten Free (GF) pizzas, as they are easy on the stomach. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves a great pizza.

We are on Holiday in Newquay and simply dropped into Pizza Express in Newquay for a quick bite to eat. We were shown to a table right next to the cliff and with a fantastic sea view, the food as usual was excellent, but a special mention has to go to Mandy, who after listening to my instructions for the perfect Latte ( in my opinion) , made it exactly how I like it. I have my Latte’s weak to suit what can be best described as the palate of a 5 year old ! 1 shot and de-caf, with extra milk at the ready just in case :). The staff were excellent and made what was a quick trip, very enjoyable.

I've been to a lot of Pizza Expresses in my time and this one is right up there with the very best. Amazing location on top of the cliffs and outstanding view out over the ocean. There is some outdoor seating as well, but it wasn't being used when we were there as was a bit chilly... Pizzas just as expected and service with a smile. Don't forget to join the rewards club for a whole host of savings.

Food was good, some of the servers were excellent but let down by some who didn't care and didn't show the same energy.

Stood waiting to be seated for long time with kids. Poor service. Forgot anything to table. Pizza arrived 40min later. App focused with then makes meal unsociable.

Popped in for dinner, was told it would be five minutes. Waiter let a couple push in front because they insisted, jumped our time and was given a menu in the seating area to choose from rather than being seated and treated like everyone else. Felt undervalued as a customer, and time wasn’t respected so we left. Poor experience before we had even passed the kitchen.

Excellent location, great view of the ocean. Lovely attentive waiting staff. Great standard of food, exactly what you expect from the Pizza Express menu. Allergy friendly and show you the big allergy book to check before ordering. Can’t fault it here. Well done Pizza Express Newquay.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Pizza Express. Despite ordering various dough balls as a starter, we only received one portion after alerting the waitress of the issue when the mains were served. To make matters worse, the Al forno pasta was still partially frozen, indicating it hadn't been properly baked. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she simply suggested I speak to the manager and continued serving other customers. Trying to resolve the matter with the manager we were offered a margarita pizza as it was the "quickest". Which got served a further 10 minutes later. By this time, the rest of our party had either cold mains or finished their meals. I've always been a loyal customer of Pizza Express, but this experience has completely soured my opinion of the restaurant. I will definitely not be returning to this branch and am reconsidering my support for the company.

The waitress we had was lovely, very warming and great with my daughter. Sadly, this was all let down by the way the bill was worked out. We had 3 children who ordered of the kids menu and the 2 older kids decided they wanted an adult desert. To my surprise, their starters and mains were billed separately rather than £7.95 for 3 courses plus the adult deserts which I'm pretty sure by doing in that way made the meal more expensive. It wouldn't stop me from going again though because the views out to the sea are great

Should walked out when the blue haired manager gave us a frosty greeting when we dared to ask for a window table - she replied well it’s a busy time and peak season and begrudgingly sat us down and to our suprise the restaurant was empty.!!! Talk about being made to feel welcome!!! Service slow was a while before we got drinks and for £4 for a water i expected someone to cart wheel over! Food definitely not worth the money the carbonara was actually a joke!!! Looked like it had been freshly popped out of a frozen ready meal tray it didn’t touch the sides of the bowl an absolute insult for £15!!! Wouldn’t say it was worth more than £2.99 Pizzas nothing to write home about !! Oil bottles (chilli and garlic) were tasteless Floors minty No deserts offered and not even a mint on the tray with the bill! What’s happened to the small details????? Would never step foot in one of these restaurants again Also note to the manager - don’t be so rude!!!!

I’m never let down by Pizza Express! Set in the perfect cliff side location, the food and service are both fantastic. I came here twice during Boardmasters as the food was so good. I would highly recommend the dough balls as they are simply delicious.

Very attentive staff with a scenic view .. they should advertise more the fact you get a wonderful view over the sea as it was a nice surprise when we entered the restaurant from reception.

Tasty food, but, the service was very slow and erratic. The rooms could do with air conditioning.

Pizza Express...don't expect good Italian kitchen here! The Bruschetta served as starter was just a mixture of tomato ketchup and pesto genovese, the pizza bred bites looked and tasted like deep frozen and then heated in a microwave. Unfortunately, the Calzone was the same mixture of tomato, pesto and some mozzarella cheese. As we come from Continental Europa and know and estimate original Italian kitchen - I doubt the chef ever has been to Italy. Staff was friendly, good location...alright. But - that doesn't make up for that shale interpretation of Italian kitchen...

Great food and fantastic location. When we eventually got our pre booked table the service was amazing - but I’m not sure why it took so long to sit us down. I didn’t expect to queue! Hence the drop in stars. However, we visited for a second time and this wasn’t an issue so maybe a blip ! Food delicious and views incredible.

Delicious food and amazing staff! The staff are professional and very friendly. I had an issue with Just Eat and Pizza Express sorted it within 5 minutes. Definitely going the extra mile for their customers. Calamari was absolutely delicious and fresh - it wasn't chewy 😋

A very mixed experience here. We visited some years ago and are fans of PE. My wife had a bbq chicken pizza and was relatively happy with hers, although it wasn't very bbq and pretty lacking of substantial toppings. I had the Italian Chicken Calzone, and in my opinion, it's the worst thing I've ever tried at PE. It's like chicken soup in a folded pizza base! It certainly wasn't as I know a Calzone. It was just flooded with liquid and just looked a stodgy mess. It wasn't worth the money we paid on this particular visit. I'm more than happy to accept that this may be no fault of the staff, but just the way the food/recipe is cooked. The staff were polite and courteous, so no issues there. Overall, a bit disappointed, but maybe I should've stuck to a conventional pizza?

Really attentive staff, welcomed us with a big smile. We were early but that wasn't a problem for them. It makes such a difference being served by happy people :)))... Lovely views of the sea...Quick service... Delicious pizza. The waitress informed me they couldn't do roquito peppers but offered me an alternative which I would never have thought of and it was delicious. Thank you for the nice experience

Beautiful views, delicious food, reasonable portion sizes. Solid. Only dropped a star because our waiter, whether or not intentional, came across as quite short with us and not the most patient considering it was our first time visiting. Overall though I would highly recommend.

My sister, my nephew, my son and myself enjoyed a wonderful meal and Prosecco. Excellent service by Tracey. My 8 year old son really loved his first visit to Pizza express and kids menu was very good value. He can’t wait to return.

Saturday night on a bank holiday weekend family diner. Booked in advance online. Arrived at reception it was deserted …. After some time our hostess arrived confirmed our booking then disappeared. Eventually we were taken to our table. From arriving to getting our starter took one hour! Not a problem we were in no rush. The resturant overlooks the sea and the place was I would say only 1/2 full. Our pizzas were very good when they arrived. Price was ok but this outlet needs to speed things up. Be prepared for a long wait. Sent me a review email promising free do-balls. Completed the review no email with the details vouchers. So not only can pizza express not run a restaurant they can’t fulfil their own offers. Complete shambles. It’s a shame because the r views are stunning and the pizzas were very good.

Excellent meal along the coast with sea views.

If you want a very thin based pizza, as hard as an house brick with not much topping, then this is the place to go! If you don't, go to Dominoes Friendly staff, just a shame about the food

It's PE not a lot to say apart from just as good as any we have tried, used the app, payed by the app, job done.

First & last time ever going here. Pizza was cold, no flavour, the base was soo thin and hard, was like chewing on a brick! Dough balls and cheese were no better. They have the cheek to charge high prices, shame it's not high standards about the food. A burger from McDonald's would have been more filling and have more flavour!!

Delivery times kept changing, I placed my order the day before and it still ended up being a hour later than its original delivery time.

We ordered for collection, didn’t know what to expect as never eaten from pizza express before but it was so so nice. Kids meal was great for money and our deal was good too. Freshly made pizza and the dough balls were amazing. Will definitely eat from here again. Spent just less then £40 for 2 adults and 1 child, definitely worth it!

Got notification it was delivered when in fact I called the restaurant and the "rider left because it was taking to long" but yet I get notified it was delivered.

Fantastic food, the salad was so tasty, a meal on its own. I had the margarita, the pastry was done exactly the way I like it, thin and crispy. The table service was excellent.

I don’t think the price that we paid for two pizzas weren’t worth it. It took 1 hour to get the pizzas and also the taste wasn’t good enough, unfortunately.

Been here for the last two years. Staff are lovely, service is great and the food great. Also, bit of a nice view during the day 😁 - update: The Pizza Express in Newquay has been consistently excellent on every visit. We take my mother there at xmas for a xmas eve pig out and the service is as excellent then as it has been on the other occasions we have visited. The staff are friendly and attentive without being over the top. The restaurant is clean, well layed out. The view is great. The food is excellent, especially the Tikka Paneer pizza... wow. No complaints at all. Thank you to eveyone who works there. 2024... Still great. FACT.

Ordered takeaway pizza on Valentines night, delivery took a long time but put that down to it being a busy night. Unfortunately both pizzas arrived very dry with little toppings which was very disappointing.

The food really was awful. Very overpriced and poor quality. Pizza Express used to be high quality but now it's gone downhill unfortunately. The staff did a great job.

I went to pick up the food as I was waiting so long. On arrival to Pizza express, they told me they had sent my food 40 mins ago, so they gave me another pizza for free as they thought the driver had stolen it. When I came home, at 20:25 I saw the driver leaving who said he picked it up 10 minutes ago and said that he had left it for me and drove off. He had let himself into the property to leave it which is trespassing. The food that he left me was cold and the receipt was printed at 19:35, I live 5 minutes from the restaurant so he took 50 minutes to deliver which is not acceptable. Unless you make an effort to make this right I will not use just eat again.

Great taste as always from Pizza Express - used to eat and watch live music at their London Soho and Hyde Park restaurants in 70s and 80s

I have been to Newquay a few times and this is normally one of my go-to places to eat dinner when I am there. Delicious food and a lively atmosphere - as is generally the case at any Pizza Express - but that view out of the window where you just see nothing but beach and cliff in all directions... that is one of life's greatest joys. Appreciated the friendly and personable staff as well - one of the managers got me a table & served me initially and he seemed like a top guy, then it was Abbie serving me later who I was very impressed by as well. There was one other woman who I didn't catch the name of, but great staff to top off a memorable dining experience. I will be coming back to Newquay in the spring, and will be sure to visit again!

My husband ordered his pizza from somewhere else 10 minutes after mine and his was delivered 20 minutes before mine. His was hot. My pizza express was cold

Sunday 7th Jan evening takeaway...absolutely awful!Spent £23 for 2 burnt dried out brusscetta & 6 chicken drums that looked like they came off a sparrow 😬

The taste was good but the food was cold so quite disappointed.

Said 35/45 mins for delivery it was 1 hour 15 mins instead and came cold!

Me and my wife started coming here about six years ago. The food and the service were impeccable back then and it hasn’t changed over the years. We now come here with our toddlers, the staff treat us so well and the food is honestly consistently amazing. I’ve only ever eaten at a couple of other pizza express places in the UK, and they have also been good, but we have never had a bad experience in the Newquay one despite how often we go there. Great job, keep up the amazing work!

Nice guy but the address is hard to find and there’s no was at all to give driver instructions on the app. Was running around the streets following the driver on the app to find him. He was great, just eats was no use to us at all.

Both pizzas were burnt and chewy in places and the garlic bread with cheese was also burnt not worth the £15 they are charging

Been before and it's one of the loveliest Pizza Express, great interior. However, don't like having to prove something on an App, especially when WiFi is not working and a simple code would be much better. Secondly, I hate staff clearing up around me. Dropping cutlery into drawers from the dishwasher, heavily clinking glasses onto shelves from dishwasher. We were still eating! Never mind the amount of pink spray, sprayed onto every available surface. We were still eating!!!!! Hence really sorry, but can't tip for a meal that causes anxiety.

Placed my order at 18:57 and it didn’t get delivered until 20:34- it was advertised on just eat as a 30 - 40 minute wait. They just kept on pushing the time back. When the pizza eventually arrived it was cold and the ticket on it said it was ready to collect at 19:40. If there aren’t enough drivers they shouldn’t be advertising delivery. Also tried to call the restaurant direct to find out what was going on and just got automated message. So disappointing as pizza express isn’t cheap

Just all round shocking. Pizzas weren’t cut properly, skinny base yet somehow really hard. Both pizzas were missing ingredients, dips were missing, calamari is more of an onion ring just save yourself the extortionate prices and go somewhere else.

Went and got the food myself in the end as apparently there were no drivers… when I collected the food I could very easily tell it had been sat there on the side for atleast 20 minutes (one of the staff members even said to me “we will heat up your pizzas quick as I believe they are now cold”). Overall ordering through just eat was pointless as like previously mentioned I collected it myself. Have payed for delivery which I never even got 🤦‍♂️. Just eat? More like just wait… Have used app multiple

We had a takeaway last week and the pizzas were ok, but my wife’s aubergine Melanzane was poooor. It was rubbery, undercooked aubergine in a thick tasteless tomato sauce topped with Mozzarella which was chewy and awful, it was NOT a nice experience and she left half of it and made a Sandwich! £16 down the drain! She eats mainly vegetarian food and hs aubergine Melanzane at restaurants and at home and it was nothing like it should be! Raw aubergine is horrible! Reallly disappointing, do not recommend!

We did an educational pizza workshop in newquay pizza express and it was brilliant! All the kids loved it. The chef/teacher was great with the kids and they all got to keep their pizza masterpieces at the end.i would highly recommend these workshops it's a great idea

Booked via the app to arrive at 6pm. Restaurant not busy. Served immediately. Waitress very friendly and professional. Ordered Nicoise Ssld and Polenta chips, and an Americano pizza and slaw. Food tasty and hot. Arrived in good time. Restaurant became busier but atmosphere good. Would recommend.

Food came incorrect, rang restaurant and was told I have to request a refund through just eat and then make a new order for them to replace it. I then tried to make an order but they said they were offline, I rang again and person on phone said there was nothing they could do so I ended up missing out on dinner due to them making my order wrong and not replacing it. They claimed the note didn’t come up but I have used the just eat tablets and know this is not the case. Overall extremely disappointing

We had a lovely meal at pizza express tonight. Table of 11. Food was great and timely. Our waitress ABBIE made the night for us. Although it was a busy service for her she managed beautifully and was very attentive & smiled throughout, Made sure we didn’t run low on drinks and our order was spot on - she even remembered who drank what. She’s a credit to your restaurant.

Absolutely shocking. Asked if they had a table for 3. Was told 45 minutes and was told they do takaway. We ordered a takeaway and was waiting for 5 minutes and a party of 4 turned up and asked for a table and got one straight away! And to top it off our order took 45 minutes! And when it came it was one of the worse pizzas I've ever had. And at double the price of most pizza places. Would advise anyone to go elsewhere for a pizza. We'll never go to pizza express again.

Delicious as always. Lovely friendly staff and fast service 👍🏻 amazing sea views over beautiful newquay. Our daughter can be fussy but the staff were more than happy to accommodate her. She really enjoyed the kids menu, great choices and she was kept occupied by the fun activities inside. Really relaxing atmosphere, great family evening out. We wasn’t expecting a nice sea/ beach view so was an added bonus. Food was lovely usually pizza express standard. Service was a little slow but was a busy sat night. Would definitely recommend it.

My partners and I arrived an hour before closing, desperate for something to eat and worried about being turned away. Instead, the three of us were welcomed in with smiles and kindness. The wait staff were attentive and happy to cater to our specific dietary requests, the food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious and despite my evening after food ending in A&E - my meal at this Pizza Express was the highlight of my day.
