Honestly best takeaway place I have ever tried while being on holiday to Cornwall and with no doubt I would spend four hours driving back just to try more of their foods. Plus the workers were very nice and welcoming but the food is immaculate!!

We were on our last day of Boardmasters and thought we'd have a treat. We were not disappointed. We ordered the meal for one to share, we had plenty of food and some left over, the chicken balls and house special fried rice were amazing. Shame we don't live closer but would definitely recommend and will use again when we visit later in the year

Friendly staff and efficient service. Good food which came quickly (but we were the only people in there on a Tuesday early evening).

Decided to give the full 5 stars mainly because the chicken balls were the best we've ever had. Delivered to our holiday site on time. Defo would order again next time we're in town. Just under £50 for family of 4 + delivery.

Waited forever as they gave our order to someone else. 4 people came after us and left with their huge orders before us. Bad service

Soup was great we had chicken and sweetcorn and chicken noodle. Mains of Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken with noodles and chicken curry fried rice was plentiful and delicious. Restaurant doesn’t look much from outside but service and quality definitely worth a visit.

After an hour and 20 minutes, rang to see where the order was and they said ten Minutes away. 20 min later still no order and wai hing is now closed so no one to contact/communicate with. What poor customer service

Quality of food more than compensated for lack of atmosphere & surroundings. Do not be put off with seating area. Food was very tasty & well presented. Bit pricey.

Need to give a one star review. The add 20% "VAT" on to your bill (even though this is not stated in the menu). I think this is illegal. We ended up paying it. However I have kept the receipt and I will be reporting this to the police station and also trading standards tomorrow. Nice to see a few people have seen this review. I am still awaiting my 9.70 refund nearly 1 year ago now None to see a fair few people have seen this review. Let's hope the place is shut down I am still awaiting by £9.70 refund. If I do ever get it I will remove this review

Im not usually a fan of Chinese food as its usually very greasy. I initially dreaded the thought when the wife asked for Chinese but i was very pleasantly surprised, not greasy, very tasty and great service for a Chi ese i would highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food that we ordered as takeaway - portions were impressive as well. Happy to recommend and the takeaway stays open till 10:30 pm which is a bonus.

Worst Chinese meal I’ve had in Newquay, no taste, order was short, cold on arrival, definitely will not be using again

Over the years when on holiday been going here to dine in. Food was always fresh. Unfortunately not this time! Ordered drinks, starter, and mains. ( Chicken skewers with peanut sauce, sweet n sour chicken balls, rice ). I kid you not, within 5 minutes of ordering, the entire lot came at once. EVERYTHING was pre heated. The chicken was extremely chewy, rice was cold, peanut sauce was more chilli sauce than anything, batter on chicken balls was cold and rubbery. Save your money and go elsewhere, we certainly won't be going back there. It's like they have given up caring.

Stumbled upon this restaurant after being refused service at slug and lettuce for having an 8 year old after 7.30pm. Glad that we did. Food was flawless. Portions massive. Service was excellent. The lovely lady serving us was so attentive. My son almost finished the whole serving of chicken chow mein with the serving as bug as his head! Highly recommended. And I know what I am talking about. I'm Asian haha. Worth a visit

We have eaten in this restaurant three times now and the food is lovely . Always fresh and tasty. I have eaten in restaurants where you can tell the oil has not been changed for a while but the spring rolls were lovely clean and crispy

Gone downhill recently, just ordered a takeaway after a 12 hour shift, looking forward to it, came after 55 minutes which is within their delivery time frame. Unfortunately, arrived cold, and dry, extremely dry. The chips were as if they had been out for a day and then reheated, the noodles COMPLETELY dry and tasteless like they had been made hours and hours prior. The rice dishes were bland and meat rubbery. For the money paid it has hardly been eaten. So sad as 2 years ago I would have recommended to anyone we know, now, we would not. Try for yourself, it is Saturday so could be due to them being busy, but with the price paid, very poor food quality.

Very average food. Pretty tasteless main course and quite expensive for what we got. The restaurant has no atmosphere at all, was so cold sitting there with no heating it completely ruined the experience.

Frozen food doesn't taste Chinese authentic cuisine. If you have too much money and time to spend do visit this place.

Cold dark wet night no one else about

Called on a quiet November evening and, despite being the only sit down diners, we were welcomed with a smile (which is always appreciated) and treated very well, despite a thriving takeaway service being in progress. The food was excellent, generous and reasonably priced. Will definitely go again when next in Newquay.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years and have been pleased with the service and the food. However this time we were surprised to find the bill about £20 higher than our last visit a few months ago. It would appear that the menu prices (which included VAT) have remained unchanged but 20% VAT is now added to the bill so effectively is a 20% surcharge. Won't be visiting again.

I have been giving good reviews of this place and always recommended it however dined there last Monday with a friend, we've always ignored the fact the toilets are not very clean and there is no heating on in the restaurant but compensated for friendly manager and nice food. My friend paid the bill but when looking at it later found we had been charged £17 VAT!! As VAT would have already been included on rhe bill means we had been charged twice. They have had our last penny and will not be going back!!

The food was nice, it was hot and fresh if not a bit pricey. I visited my Chinese I London and to be honest the food I got would of cost me half the price and was much nicer. The food was good, but I can't say I enjoyed the price. I had a tub of hot and sour soup which literally cost over twice as much for the same amount in my old local😥😥 which saddens me as whenever I am ill I get 2 big tubs of hot and sour soup, steamed dumplings (they only do crispy fried ones here, which seemed rushed and a little too crispy burnt even!!) I was unwell when I went in so i bought house special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls both of which were nice but only 6/10 and the chicken chow mein had skinny noodles and was expensive and just ok only 5/10 on a whole it is very upsetting for the expense. Shame really.

Well..... When you read a mixed bag of reviews you sort of have to find out for yourself. Not busy, but it's a Wednesday. The young lady waitress very pleasant and attended us very well. Decor not stunning but really not unpleasant Duck and pancake decent. Chicken curry not your usual Chinese Curry but I enjoyed it for sure. Now we've eaten in Chinatown London at many many places and suffered much worse. The food was plentiful, hot and value for our money, just over £25 per head Inc drinks. If I was in Newquay I'd say give it a go with an open mind.... I reckon you'll enjoy

Meal for 8 people, all really great food and friendly staff.

Food was just meh. There are far better places to eat in Newquay your better off going to any of those. The delivery driver was useless as well didn’t know our address and then refused to even leave her vehicle to just bring it to the door had to go and find where she was to get my food.

I'm still waiting for my £9.40 rebate from the 20% VAT we we illegally charged. I have wrote in an official letter. Still haven't received it. If this does not come then I have no choice but to report this to HMRC as Advised by Citizens Advice

Small portions, tasteless soup, and very expensive 😞

After 2 hours delivery wait food arrived stone cold so we didn’t eat any of it. Staff members telling me over the phone they are out for delivery 3 times , so if my calculations are correct and they didn’t lie about the time scale food was out for delivery for over an hour . Unsurprising it was freezing cold then isn’t it ? They have not responded to my complaint or my request to collect the complete food order so I can have a refund in any way hence the review .

Food was delicious and served very quickly. They are happy to customise ingredients in their dishes. Staff were attentive and friendly. No questioning about my Hearing Dog. Toilets are up a few steps.

We went to this restaurant four times during our fortnights holiday and each time was just as good as any other, I had four different dishes, all were lovely, very tasty and I couldn't find fault with anything, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food beautiful in every way, the bright dining area was spotless and clean and the cost was in line with other types of restaurant at this time of inflation....I would recommend everytime.

Food arrived stone cold, called and they refused to refund or even replace because “the food left straight away and was hot” poor customer service. Will not be returning. I can see this place going under quickly.

Menu had prices which aplenty did not include VAT as it was added as a separate item on the bill. Wine list out of date, showing prices of £14.95 a bottle but new prices £17 plus that VAT. Bang Bang chicken starter had salad cream on rather than peanut sauce - so really just a small chicken salad. Sea food on crispy noodles had tough squid and mussels as well as a sauce which made the 'crispy' noodles soggy! Batter on prawn balls was very thick and underdone inside crisp outer. Special fried rice was very greasy. All in all a disappointment.

We ordered a pretty large takeaway for 6 people and we were not disappointed. We had the mixed starters and aromatic duck with pancakes for starters and both were excellent. Mains we had were beef in black bean, spicy chicken, salted chicken chicken chow mein, with rice,noodles and couple of extra sauces and prawn crackers. Only dish that wasnt quite what we expected was the chicken chow mein.

After a recommendation from friends who has had takeaways from here. We decided to try a sit in meal. We were very pleased with the food, good flavour, warm and plentiful portions. Staff were attentive and polite. Will definitely recommend to others to try, either eat in, takeaway or delivery

Popped in to order a take away just as it opened at 5 one evening. I was in the process of giving my order, when the lady serving me stopped serving me to answer the phone. They give priority to phone orders & I was left hanging around while they took them. They then wanted to write down my card details instead of using the machine directly which I wasn't happy about so refused. The food was just OK, with chicken balls not being cooked properly.

This has to be one of the worse Chinese takeaways I've every had the misfortune of eating! Despite ordering my food as soon as they opened it tasted old, wasn't fresh. The crispy beef and Seaweed tasted burnt and not edible. The chicken tasted off! Avoid this place at all costs. God knows how they ever got a single 5 star review! Food ended up in the dogs bowl, doubt they even eat it! The order was £53 which makes it one of the most expensive in the area, I called the business yo make a complaint. Was promised a call back or replace which never materialised.

We sat in the restaurant, food was lovely and lots of it, the lady serving us was very helpful & asking if everything was too our liking at very affordable prices.

I managed to seat 35 people, the food was excellent, everyone commented on it, and the service was superb.

First time having takeaway here and first Chinese this year. The food was very tasty and the flavours of all our dishes were fantastic. Will definitely be back again as have just found the best Chinese around.

Lovely little find of a Chinese. Nice and clean basic restaurant set up but bloody lovely food. Mixed starters and squid were amazing, as was out beef in black bean sauce. Staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. And all was very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Went for a takeaway two nights while staying in Newquay..it was fabulous both nights would recommend to you all. Just next door to lost brewery which is equally as good everyone very friendly

We stumbled across this place while searching for a vegan takeout in Newquay, on a Sunday! I am so pleased we did. The staff were so helpful on the phone talking through vegan options and checking with chefs which foods were suitable. I chose the tofu with fresh broccoli in a Szechuan hot bean sauce, rice and their curry sauce for my chips (made these at home) I can honestly say this is one of the best vegan takeouts I’ve had. A definite must try!

We ordered spicy garlic beef chow-mein and sweet and sour chicken, with a side order of duck pancake rolls. Well we could barely move after eating only about half of what was brought to the table! The food was delicious, generously portioned and extremely well presented. We ended up taking the left overs away with us as it was far too good to waste. If you’re after a Chinese meal in Newquay you’d be having your own eyes out if you didn’t choose this place!

Visited for dinner. Had barbecue spare ribs and followed with chicken chow main. Both dishes were excellent but what made my visit most enjoyable was the waitress who was very friendly. Highly recommended.

Me and my partner had 2 sweetcorn and chicken soups which were delicious and boiling hot, roast Pork with veg was delicious with some egg fried rice. Another dish of chicken chowmein which was fantastic. Honestly enjoyed my visit, the staff were supper friendly.
