Absolutely not good food cold chips at least a day old and food was very dry and stale only good point was delivery on time and polite

We were worried after some poor reviews but unbelievably this is the ONLY Falmouth Chinese takeaway to offer anything reasonable as regards vegan food. So we risked it … and all found both the vegan and meat dishes delicious. The bad reviews in were mostly years in the past and relating to poor delivery tbh. Great tofu in black bean sauce, vegan veg fried rice w no egg, sweet and sour veggies, chicken sweet and sour balls, beef in black bean sauce snd egg fried rice. Loads of fresh vegetables. RECOMMEND.

This is my first time eating from here. The food (salt and pepper crispy chicken) & special fried rice was excellent and will definitely eat here again

The food is absolutely lovely all I want to eat is everything from this place!the service is amazing they make me feel at home when ordering! I hope they stay there forever I would eat everything in the shop if I could!

Their meals used to be reliable but lately not so much. Have used them for years but the last meal (delivered) was probably our last. Duck dishes had thick layers of really gooey skin, they used to take the skin off, not now. The duck was chewy. And as for the portion of the worst chips ever, soggy, bitty, tasteless, really awful. They chef/quality control has gone tired, so sad.

Some food on the menu is good but not the prawn balls. Batter was grey and I only ate two but have contracted severe food poisoning, will not be eating there again

I hate to do this, I never leave bad reviews but this will be my first. After being sent chicken balls that were cold, pink and mushy in the middle, to not refund my meal is unacceptable. Having raw chicken on my plate has obviously put me off my whole meal, and to only be given £7.20 refund is upsetting.

We have had a takeaway from here at least once a week for the last five or six weeks. By far the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Their fried bean curd is exceptional and unique.

I can't understand these 5* reviews?. Have any of you tried any dishes with chicken in it? It's slimy and turns to mush, I reckon its the cheapest chicken they can buy wholesale (in a can) No exaggeration but I've seen better dog food. Was also half an hour late and cold. I wrote a poem about it: Maybe I'm being very harsh and I know we all have different tastes, so if you like slimy chicken from a can, this is your happy place! Best wishes, local falmouth person.

This really is the best Chinese in all of Cornwall - especially their bean curd, bbq sauce and salt and pepper chips. Satay sauce isn’t good but everything else is A1

Came here at 9pm on a Sunday evening after finishing my shift as a chef because after cooking all day you fancy something different. I had the chicken with ginger and spring onion absolutely amazing oh and egg fried rice which was probably enough for 2 but overall a good meal

Ordered over the phone for collection, greeted by lovely lady, and went home to eat a hot, generous portion and delicious meal... so much better than your neighbours around the corner 👍

Amazing food and overall service... Just had an altercation on the phone regarding satay chicken (we ordered the wrong dish) and these beauties drove back to my house with the correct meal. Thank you so much to the kind women on the phone and to the lovely man delivering it, I'm beyond happy!

Good food but paid the full order online and the £3 delivery charge then a woman rang to say i still owed £1 delivery 😂 good food like i said but now i have a car ill be picking up elsewhere... sorry 👎🏼

We always order happy Palace when it comes to Chinese takeaway, even though we live in Penryn and this takeaway is in Falmouth it is reasonable priced food, good price for delivery, food arrives piping hot and fresh, excellent flavours etc, which is far superior to my takeaway just across the road.

The first I had it and it was not nice at all and the delivery person was rude

Avoid disgusting food purchased a curry , on opening did not look like a curry just oil film on the top , we live local and have used this place , just contacted to say how disgusting it was

Avoid purchase a seafood curry and rice , I live local , when getting home opened the curry to find a oil film on top and a colour not looking like curry colour at all yuk is the word 🖓🖓

Bland, no flavour! Used to use regularly however 2nd time in a row it's been terrible. An unhappy Palace

Whoever the woman was that greeted me,was anything but happy.She eyed me suspiciously,and was very abrupt.I think they need to replace her with a more accommodating person.The food was freshly cooked in front of you.It was good.

I have not long collected a Chinese meal from “Happy Palace” in Falmouth an I have to say it was absolutely disgusting!, it cost almost £20 an it was inedible, everything the chips, rice an onion rings were old , over cooked an probably yesterday’s food, it didn’t smell particularly good an the curry sauce was all glupy, honestly it was awful, I couldn’t eat it !! I’ve worked in the catering industry for well over 30 years an I know freshly cooked food when I see it.....an that meal definitely wasn’t!!... I won’t ever go there again! Kim...from Falmouth

The food is pretty good, one of the better chinese places in Penryn/Falmouth. The BBQ sauce is pretty fantastic. The chicken balls are often overdone, but overall i think it's worth it. But I cannot stress enough, how moronic it is that its seemingly random whether or not they accept card payments online or not. Some days they allow it, some days its cash on delivery only. They've lost about 10 orders I would have made because of this. Not reliable whatsoever.

Chicken covered in gross slime, the dish absolutely stunk of off meat. I didn’t even attempt to eat it.

Should have listened to the reviews. Chicken was chewy and gave me a bad belly. Food was cold when it arrived to us.

I had Spare Ribs with Honey, overcooked to the point they were crusted and black. Chicken curry, the sauce tasted like wallpaper paste with a spoonful of curry powder in it. The chicken was tough and lacking in taste. The bean sprouts were OK. This must take the lead for the worst Chinese I've had in 40 years of travelling, and I'm talking about 30 countries including China. Don't go there, go hungry instead. Jim Kerr.

I am absolutely disgusted by the service of this Chinese. The wrong food was delivered after over an hour of waiting, half an hour later the wrong order was collected however, there was still no sign of the food we ordered. Another 40 minutes of waiting I contacted the Chinese and was told that we could have a full cash refund as well as the food. Yet another 40 minutes of waiting, the correct order was delivered before it was snatched from my hands after asking for the refund as well as the food as we were promised. I was screamed at for another 15 minutes to be left with no dinner after three hours!! I highly recommend that people do not order from this Chinese. The service was vile!!

VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS AVOID. I received a salt and pepper tofu that had bits of meat at the bottom of the tub, when i called to tell them they were not only unapologetic but very rude to me. The woman almost brought me to tears, shouting at me down the phone, accusing me of lying. I said i would happily bring it to them and show them, after that they reluctantly offered me a new portion, but after that i was put off. Complete waste of money and actually ruined my day having to deal with the rude and nasty staff. REFER TO PICTURE FOR MEAT BITS I WAS APPARENTLY LYING ABOUT.

The most disgusting Chinese I have ever had. Rude and shocking customer service. Serving raw chicken is not acceptable.. will only give a refund if you take the food back.. bit difficult when it's half eaten and put in the bin as that is the best place for it. Will never go there again and would advise nobody else to

Ordered from them at 5 to 8 and it arrived two hours later completely cold and inedible, called them multiple times to ask where it was an every time it was out for delivery when really they clearly had fergot, food was completely wrong and the curry sauce was so thick, after eating a very little amount it has made me feel very unwell and I will not be returning again, only part I will compliment is the lovely driver who had been out in the rain all night delivering

I ordered a vegetarian chow mein yesterday and it arrived very quickly but I found multiple pieces of chicken inside it. I haven’t eaten meat for years so I was concerned about the meat making me ill. I rang Happy Palace as soon as I noticed and spoke to a very abrupt and rude woman who hung up on me multiple times. At first she refused to give me a refund even though I had spent money on a meal which I didn’t order. Finally she agreed to give me a refund and I was told to come back to the restaurant to show proof of the chicken and then was only refunded part for that one dish rather than the whole meal which was quite disappointing. She said sorry in the least sincere way leaving me feeling incredibly unwelcome as well as disappointed. If you are vegetarian then AVOID THIS RESTAURANT! Also avoid any of their sweet and sour dishes as they are disgusting - My friend and I ordered this before and it was bright red making it look toxic plus it was not edible due to the taste! Extremely disappointed with this restaurant as it was the only one I would buy Chinese from in Falmouth.

We will never use again, waited over 1 1/2 hours then rang again to be told there was a kitchen problem then it had been delivered to the wrong address and it would be another 20 minutes. They also advertise a £1 delivery charge up to 2 miles but keep trying to charge £2 even though we are only 1.5 miles away.

Well if I could give them zero then I would. Three times phoned them asking where our delivery was as it had now been 2 1/2 hours since they took our order. Each time I phoned it was out for delivery. After 4th call now going to ring driver and they haven't even cooked it and sent it out as now ticket is missed. Rubbish. Nobody bothered checking. Terrible customer service. An oh well attitude. Will not ever use them again.

Very friendly and quick service unfortunately food taste and texture a let down... Chicken very salty and tough the outside coating of chicken balls tough and not fried as you would expect. Sauce full of monosodium glutamate. Personally found inedible and a waste of money.

Best Chinese takeaway in Falmouth. The service is always amazing, even when my orders are annoyingly picky at times and can get complicated! The vegetarian options are amazing and even include tofu! The food is amazingly tasty, full of flavour and you get a lot of it, so much that I always have a lot to spare for lunch the next day. Never had a bad experience with the place and the people who work there are lovely!

Dreadful. The old lady that works there is rude. They made a mistake with my order so she told me to take the vegetables and peas out, then asked 'what do you want me to do about it' before hanging up on me when I replied that I wanted it returning and my correct order bringing out. On a previous occasion, a lardy arsed middle aged, female delivery woman argued with me that the road name I gave was wrong. Like I don't know what road I live on. Imbeciles. I feel sorry for the little Chinese fella from the kitchen, because he's a really nice guy. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Best Chinese in Falmouth / Penryn. They always say food will be 30-40 mins but it always arrives within 15 mins Food is delicious and decent portions for a good price. Would definitely recommend.
