If you want sun, sand, and cider that’ll make you believe in miracles, hit up the bar on Fistral Beach! I swang by on a sunny day before Boardmasters—busy as a seagull convention, but the service was so quick it felt like magic. The Rattler cider on tap? Absolute perfection, like liquid gold with a cheeky kick. It’s the kind of place where you leave with a grin, a bit of a buzz, and probably some sand in places you didn’t expect—but it’s totally worth it!

Ropey service for the food. Waited nearly an hour for it and it wasn't very nice. Drinks wernt great either . I thought the food was very overpriced. £17.95 each for the burger. Only went as convenient but wouldn't go back. Bloke outside giving out menus. Never a good sign when trying to beg for business

If I could review this for location, it's a hands down 5*. Up until today, the food was probably that aswell. Always been a favourite, fool proof place. However, today, we were really disappointed. I don't know what they've done with their food but the portions were extremely small. I reckon, half the size for pulled pork loaded fries than last time. The amount of pulled pork inside the wrap must have amounted to a meer scraping. The pizza was a great size, albeit very greasy. A real shame as it's always been a place we return to for food, but i'm not sure we will do so again. Will maybe stick to a drink and enjoy the view. Very disapointed.

Loved the location, the vibe and the food was really good. The loaded fries were a big hit for us. Staff were on hand to help entertain kids by giving them colouring and crayons. My top tip would be wear a hat if it’s hot.

Went to Stables tonight for my husbands 40th (which I had made them aware of on my booking) throughout the whole meal there was no acknowledgement of this. Service was really slow and it wasn’t that busy, one server didn’t seem to be fully on it, said she would get things and didn’t. All in all I was really excited about visiting stables tonight and was really disappointed.

Great venue, spectacular views. Busy but with lots of staff cleaning tables as they became free. Excellent service should be on your to do list for sure!

Came on a holiday from India was disappointed there was no curry here however had a lovely burger shame there wasn't more of it loved it! However they did not except my Amex!

For a £12 breakfast I’d expect something fairly nice, instead I got what looked and tasted like a crap school dinner but with smaller portions. Definitely the worst breakfast in Newquay

I was very surprised to see that there was nothing on the menu stating that they had any gluten free options. I spoke to a waitress, who then passed me onto somebody else, and then I spoke to somebody else who confirmed I could a number of gluten free options. After looking back at the menu, I picked poached eggs, avocado and went with gf hash browns as they didn't have gf bread. The eggs were delicious, the avocado was more like guacamole then just avocado and the hash browns were very dry and tasteless. This was all a great shame, as I was looking forward to the food, as we were stopping in en route home.

We sat on the terrace and had a great view of the beach. The place was packed and dogs are allowed, which is lovely. We just had a couple of drinks and a bowl of nachos. The food is quite overpriced.

Positive- pleasant staff excellent view. You will keep coming back you know you will, it’s the view!!! ( explore other areas of Cornwall if you able. Some fabulous places.) Negative- very overpriced underwhelming drinks. If you have a locals card/ membership ,you will get a big discount. Lucky you. The poor tourists are shafted big time! Remember this when you buy your drink and meal. This bar is not unique with this set up in Newquay. Food acceptable, priced about the same as most meals in town. Very average. If your looking for amazing drinks and food you won’t find it here. With coronavirus seemingly manageable, and some complacent British seaside business, is it time for a virtually guaranteed cost and weather effective , holiday abroad???????!!!!

Great location for drinks, but food was expensive for what it was. Pizzas, burgers, loaded chips etc. All basic stuff. None of it prepared very well and made with poor quality ingredients. Would suggest you save your money for food made by someone who knows what they are doing and cares about it.

The view was the best part, drinks were good, food and drink both okay for the money, atmosphere was great a real authentic beachy vibe. However the staff let it down, the guys behind the bar were rather rude and ignored us most of the time instead favouring young girls and guys they seemed to know and chatting with them instead of doing their jobs. The only one that actually helped us and was a lovely young girl called Alana. Great place with a great atmosphere unfortunately MOST of the staff let this place down! Disappointing, as we visited last year and it was a totally different experience sadly.

We love this place. Right on beautiful fistal beach. The best coffee and lunches. Super friendly staff. We always got a table close to the front so we could watch the kids on the beach.

On a superb beach front spot with raised views this is a fantastic bar. Great good, really friendly staff, dog friendly and good bear. A small choice of cocktails but great menu and something to suit everyone. Birds are plentiful and will sit right next to you! We loved it here

Been coming here for years as we used to love it. Ordered nachos with chilli beef, sent back as lacking beef and cold, prepared a fresh set but same again - chilli beef is not chill beef as anyone else would recognise, luke warm sauce with bit of spice and half teaspoon of something that is claiming to be mince (across two dishes). I know times are hard but this is very disappointing and not how you used to be.

The perfect to a day no matter the weather. A must after a trip to Fistral Beach, you can watch the beach, enjoy the view and relax. If it’s raining there is an under cover area. Dog friendly and very welcoming.

Not one to write a review but on this occasion feel that I have to.Turned up for a quick drink/bite to eat, was greeted by a lovely chap and was quickly seated. Was seating in the middle of the bar away from the sea with the glass drink bucket behind me, I didn’t mind too much and really was happy we were able to get in, A lovely guy walked past and I asked if I could be moved to the front row with a sea view, he said sure so we moved.Next minute a waitress with short hair walked through the bar and noticed we had sat there, she threw her hands in the air as if to say how dare you and gave the foulest look.After that we immediately felt unwelcome. The same lady walked past a few minutes later and I explained we asked to move and asked kindly if our food order could follow us, she said no and if don’t keep our eye on our old table we won’t get our food.Every time she walked past after I received dagger and stares of death. I dare to go back again for my own safety.I could understand if the tables were being cleaned after each customer and we caused more work for the staff, but this is definitely not the case as we watched people leaving and new people sitting with no cleaning on every occasion, further, I didn’t see anyone with a cloth or spray the whole time! Really get the feeling here the task is to get as many in and out, but please remember we are human! Definitely will not be visiting again, would rather go to the fish house upstairs or one of the other bars in the same complex, where you get real service!

We have recently returned from our stay in Newquay where we have holidayed once a year for several years.This bar has a wonderful location with fabulous views over to the beach and sea.Kevin and his team always look after us well.Every member of staff that served us were friendly and helpful, a real refreshing change.Good selection of food and drinks.Hygiene standard very good and Covid restrictions adhered to.Thank you to all of the staff for doing a great job.We will be back next year.

Sorry to say £8 for a Diet Coke and a pint of lager shandy is expensive and a 15 min wait to be served plus another 15 mins to get the drinks which arrived wrong Food is good (apparently) but we didn’t order as again the food is quite expensive for what it is (£14 for a Hawaiian pizza)Tables not being wiped down as so many people coming in they are not getting the time to do it Lovely location with a wonderful view but sadly, this doesn’t justify the prices or the quality of service

My friends and I popped into Fistral Beach Bar to get out of the sun for a while on Tuesday. We were really surprised to be seated, in the shade, within about 15 minutes! Such great, efficient service! We just had a couple of drinks, and a big jug of water then some chips to satisfy a little mid afternoon hungry! The chips were delicious and disappeared very quickly. All in all, great service and a lovely place with beautiful views.10/10 for me!

All the signs were up but very few of the staff observing covid restrictions, masks below their chins if wearing one and leaning in to talk to customers. Table service just didn't happen so had to go to the bar, intended to stay for a while with friends but we all only had one drink then left to find a place where we could actually relax. Really disappointed as we are local and used to be frequent customers.

We visited the Beach Bar yesterday afternoon. Despite it being a busy bank holiday week, the staff couldn't have been more efficient. Laura and Kev who were organising the check in and seating, were super friendly and made sure everything was running smoothly. Laura seated us after thoroughly cleaning the table first. After a couple of minutes she came over to make sure that we had been served, which we had. She was flitting between tables checking that everyone was happy and chatting to customers and that no one was waiting for too long.Thanks so much Beach Bar crew!

We came for breakfast and was greeted by a friendly and welcoming team. Standard breakfast choices on offer but all was delivered quickly and was tasty. There are various seating arrangements, inside, outside or outside under cover. The view is the best!

Had a lovely week in Fistral and visited here several times. Always greeted by a lovely friendly chap. We sat both inside and out, and had various meals during our stay- can’t fault any of them! We left our bag outside one night and didn’t realise until a couple of days later( we’ll blame the Rattler for that) We headed over and spoke to the lovely chap (Kevin). He informed us that he had found it and kept it safe - all the contents still there! Such a relief! Big shout out to Kevin, he’s a credit to you! In fact, we found that all the staff were really attentive and welcoming. Looking forward to visiting again :)

Coming out of the pandemic, we're trying to support local businesses. After phoning to ask when last orders were, we were told by Liam (the manager) if we can arrive within 10 minutes we'd be allowed in. Having RUN to make the deadline (we were 4 minutes early), the toxicly masculine bouncer denied us entry on the grounds that nobody would have told us that (but was happy to let the two girls in short skirts, in). After calling and speaking with a fairly stroppy teenager, both managers on duty denied taking the original call. One manager offered to come out and speak to us, but 10 minutes later there was still no manager.I have zero sympathy for businesses who've spent the last year complaining that they've been forgotten, or had to waste beer, or suffered in any capacity, when they behave like this. We're here. Wanting to spend money. Yet you seem to be more interested in lying to your customers, and failing to take ownership of the mistake you've made?

Luke is a donny. Earned an extra £11 for you lads. Give him a raise I reckon so ‘cos he upsaled alot. And have a lovely smile
