Belushi's - Newquay in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Staff were rude. We booked a table for food and got given a table that was dirty and the staff member that seated us said she would 'come back and clean it if I have time'. It wasn't even very busy to warrant that response, when we ordered drinks they were thrown onto the table and staff were extremely rude. When we asked to order food, we were abruptly told the kitchen is closed then walked off. About 20 minutes later we asked again ask we saw food comong out of the kitchen, we were told that we could order food, depending on what it was, when the staff member come back she said that it didnt say on the booking that we wanted food eventhough we had bookiled it under the food section on the website. We ordered and it took an hour to even come out. We will not be dining here again!

Great place. Staff friendly and very helpful. Views are amazing and easy to get to by walking from the street or the beach. Music memorbilia. Wonderful music and loads of large TVs if you are interested in sport. Just ask, and they will put on eg football . Grand Prix, plus many other interesting events surfing, etc. It's our special place and we love it. Look after their locals as well as anyone who just walks in. It is a backpacker. You can stay there too.

Unacceptable. Waited over 1.5hrs for food, when we consulted the manager he explained that we could have a refund due to the wait and the food would be out in 2 mins. ANOTHER 30mins roll by with no food so we went to see where the food was, only to find out the manager had cancelled our order without asking/telling us. When confronted over this he was then rude and unapologetic. Can’t even get a refund in person due to ordering via app. Don’t waste your time or money at this place.

Still my favourite bar in Newquay laid back vibe with the best view ever. Had veggie pizza for lunch which was awesome & jubel beer served by a friendly barman. Definitely visit when your in Newquay

Understaffed, two hour wait for food which never arrived. Manager was rude, confrontational and unapologetic. We will not be returning. Formal complaint made to the company and refund requested

Chips in Kids meal was served with spicy seasoning, so my daughter got upset and couldn't eat them. Bar and waiters were very responsive and replaced them with unseasoned fries. Very helpful and attentive staff

Slightly hidden away but definitely worth seeking out. Unrivalled sea views. Fantastic burgers and a good selection of ales. Went twice in one day because when we saw the food we had to try it.

Great view from the booths inside into the bay. Too windy to sit on the outside terrace with sea goews but would be great in nice weather. The courtyard was protected with plenty of people sat out on a dry sunny day. Drinks would be great value 4pm-8pm, we were too early to take advantage of the offer. Service was great. Food was good.

Came in belushis on a good Saturday night, As we love their drinks & grabbed a lil bite. The food was delicious & really hit the spot, All the food was amazing, but my God them Caroline reapper was are hot. Staff were amazing, service was very fast, what more can I say, overall we had a right blast. Special shout out for Harry, full of smiles & happy as Larry. Ps. Hope you like our peom. I can not fault this place at all. The staff are amazing. The food is fantastic, I had the chicken wrap today for the first time but also have tried many of the burgers, always perfectly cooked and the chips and wings are just delish. The atmosphere is always what I'm looking for no matter what day of the week. These guys work so hard to give the best service and the warmest welcome. This place is not to be looked past and will always be a customer here. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Pity I didn't get a pic of the wrap it was absolutely banging but here's a pic of the burger I had the other day to die for!!

Nipped in on chance, decided to have food. burger was good, the donuts interesting. Reasonable service, but we are visiting in-between Christmas and new year to be fair.

Passing through Newquay many places were closed. We stopped here for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. Had a great burger. The negative reviews are harsh!. This is a characterful, friendly surfers bar with a great view and pretty decent food.

Great spot with outdoor seating and heaters for the winter. Good drinks selection and order via app. Food was reasonably priced and tasty.

Went for the pub quiz. Total chaos! Sound was terrible. Couldn’t hear a thing and games were ridiculous and suitable only for the highly excitable of which there were many. Female staff are rude. We were told they don’t honour student discount because Newquay isn’t a student town?? The previous day there wasn’t an issue? Please see your own website, update if deals cannot be honoured and retrain your staff! Bottomless chicken wings are thrown at you when they eventually arrive and it’s a nightmare to get a reorder quickly. Wings are ok, greasy and very little sauce. Can get much better in Walkabout which is where I will be going in future. Avoid Belushi’s Newquay.

Upon looking for value for money other than the usual "pub grub" that you can get mostly in and around Newquay, I stumbled across Belushi's which overlooks Towan Beach as well as the harbour and fancied a swift half with a bite to eat. Menu was simple, easy to read and prices were fair to be honest as like everywhere, prices for meat/veg/sauces etc. have all increased a smudge so is what it is. Ordered the Belushi's Burger, which had smash patties with bacon etc. accompanied with fries seasoned nicely and 7 wings with the BBQ sauce (had a choice of others including buffalo etc.) with a pint of Fosters. Granted I wasn't able to sit outside, due to the ordering on the app not working via the QR code situated on the table so I opted for a window seat nonetheless which was just as satisfactory. Burger was full of flavour, patties were nicely smashed and seasoned as well as the fries that came with it. The wings were probably the best I've had in Cornwall to be truthful, as everyone has their own attempt in the game but these were falling off the bone good so kudos to the guys in the kitchen. Yes, staff was a little skeletal but after a no doubt hectic summer with holidaymakers and tourists they could afford to down tool a tad to give those who worked hard over the months some hard earned time off. I waited a matter of a few minutes for someone to serve me and the young lady who brought my food was cheerful so you couldn't ask for much else. Some of the comments and ratings on here seem a little harsh to be truthful, however everyone is entitled to their POV but remember that they are human beings also so can only do their best. Will defo return in the future for sure!

Great view is the best thing about this place.

Went on an afternoon for drinks. Place was quiet but nice enough. Didn’t order food. Often there was no one behind the bar so had to wait, but when they did turn up they were friendly enough. The views on the terrace were great and could happily spend an afternoon there watching the beach and surfers. Overall place was nice.

Good vibes, great views. Bring a big appetite! First off, this place is a hostel as well as a bar/restaurant and we didn't stay there but it's great for a visit for a few drinks on the terrace and some food. Big portions of wings, stacked burgers that are generous. Pretty good quality and you can order from their app to the table. Service is spot on even when busy. We'll worth a visit

The most amazing flavour combinations in their plates. Sautéed Chicken was superb with a side of cabbage presented in a unique flavour combination was simply exquisite 👌

I totally love the atmosphere here. It has always been focused on a young surfer/skater vibe but everyone is made to feel super welcome. Prices are about average for the area with good selection of drinks and simple pub food.

Food was nice and well priced, nice atmosphere, plenty of TV's if going to watch sport and a pool table

Amazing view over Towan beach, many tables outside and a lot of space inside too, with tv, music, pool table, etc. Service was nice and friendly and burger and chips were amazing! Nice place for a quick lunch or to have a few drinks :)

It's a bit of a hidden gem in my eyes , the staff are very friendly, and the service it top notch. We stopped here a few times now, and the food has always been great, asking with the breathtaking views. Whenever we go to Newquay, we will make our way here

It’s no where near what it was in the past! Positive’s- great view. But better views some place else. Negatives- Rip off prices, unless you get locals rates!( remember this, the pub will say you can apply. Nope!! You try!!) save the happy hour nonsense, not working. Food- awful go any place else, a burger and a beer is cheaper at the 5* Headland Hotel… Staff- no can do attitude/half baked/lazy types. For the trip visitor it’s a total waste of money, go in find out see for yourself. Toilet’s filthy, whole place needs a deep clean. Needs a total refresh, top to bottom. Management/staff. Only a slightly viable business because of its situation. A blind man could run a more efficient business. Think twice and then think again before subjecting yourself to the food/beer prices. Awful chewy burgers cold fries… The clown show.

We found this place on our first trip to Newquay many moons ago and have been going back every single year as our go to lunch stop on our annual Cornish holiday. The food is always amazing and the burgers are the best you'll find for miles around 😋 Can't thank the staff enough as they are always so happy and polite lovely people and nothing is a problem to these guys. Always make me and the kids feel literally at home which it has become over the years. Just wouldn't go anywhere else now. Also has the best views of the beach

We had food as a family which the food was lovely then out of nowhere the women security guard asked to search my partner as she presumed he had drugs on him which is absolutely ridiculous to which he agreed in front of other family’s absolutely unacceptable and to be honest really embarrassing considering we haven’t done anything wrong! considering we just paid a 80 meal! I am in awe I have never had this service in my life! Disgusting behaviour we will never be hanging over our hard earned JOB wage to them again!

Food took over an hour so I went to the bar to ask for an update. The man behind the bar was apologetic and said that I would be entitled to a refund as well as having my food arrive in 15 minutes or so. He said to ask for a manager and explain and they’d process it. When I returned to the bar with my phone to process the refund, another member of staff spoke to me but disagreed with what the previous member of staff had said. She asked me several rhetorical questions in a rude/impatient tone, asking why would they do that? Saying it makes no sense etc. To the point where I had to ask her to stop, as I was just repeating what I had been told. Honestly sooo rude lol, and misdirected anger at a customer rather than their colleague, even when I pointed out the colleague who had advised me this. Embarrassing

Great central bar with lovely views over beach by harbour. Friendly service - able to book on line for outside table too. Great food burgers were amazing and my daughter adored the vegan quesadillas

Belushi’s in a word? Recommend. The food served at this place is very nice but also very filling, I like how you can choose different variant of spice for the wings, if you can handle proper spicy wings, you can order them but if you’re like me and you prefer nice easy-going barbecue wings, then you can have that too. The service was very friendly and welcoming too, I never once felt that I was inconveniencing the staff, which is an experience I’ve sadly felt at someplaces in Newquay. But the overall atmosphere in there is very nice as well because it overlooks the beach.

Amazing views, amazing service and amazing food. We come here whenever we're down in Newquay! We decided to stop off for a pint (more than plenty to choose from) and a little snack which we shared.

The staff were so polite, couldn't be more helpful. The manager tried to accomodate our food intolerances. The only limitation here is there is not much for dairy intolerance. But the Morning Glory Burger was amazing. Cocktails awesome. And the staff honnestly couldn't have been a better representation to the bar.

First time here and definitely the last unfortunately. Only good thing is the view. Food took an hour before being served, came Luke warm. Asked for a bowl of water for my dog as it was very hot, never got it. Not once asked if we enjoyed our meal. Very disappointing experience.

I recently had the misfortune of visiting Belushi's Newquay, lured by their advertised 2-for-1 pizza deal from Monday to Friday. Imagine my disappointment when, upon ordering, I was informed that this promotion has not been available all summer. Considering it is nearly August, this is nothing short of false advertising and blatant deception. Such misleading promotions are unacceptable, and the lack of communication regarding the discontinuation of the deal reflects poorly on the establishment's management. It's not difficult to update promotional materials, yet Belushi's has failed in this basic aspect, demonstrating a complete disregard for their customers. Overall, my experience at Belushi's Newquay was thoroughly disappointing. I would advise others to avoid this establishment until they can rectify their misleading practices and improve their customer service standards. Don't fall for their false promises – there are far better places to dine in Newquay.

Foods banging, Morreti was on point (ended up having a few), atmospheres decent, staff are friendly and helpful. What more could you want. Worth another visit.

Stopped here for food, unfortunately they had no pizza🙄 lovely view onto beaches outside on porch. 2 for 1 cocktails at happy HR. If they had food we wanted, would have stayed longer. Daughter likes pizza.

I made the mistake of ordering a Pina Colada with three friends. Big mistake! The concoction arrived in a glass and it was blue and did not even taste like Pina Colada. Took the three drinks back to the bar to complain and asked for a refund and was advised that it's a ready made mix they use. The manager came out and the drinks were poured away with no refund. Definitely don't come here for anything other than beer as that's about all they can manage. We didn't even get a refund or offered another drink. What sort of crap service is this. I can remember when this place used to be good. I wouldn't mind but we came here for a friends birthday and Definitely won't be staying around to order food or anymore drinks if they are this bad.

Had a great time at Belushi's after a poor experience last year. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Happy hour 4pm to 8pm had great food & drink offers, and then a free quiz night! Brilliant fun, excellent host with a great atmosphere, competition and really good fun all for free. The staff are really welcoming and the views are amazing. We love this place.

Been coming to Newquay for years and last year Belushis was quite poor. This year what a difference food was great, service was fab and the atmosphere was brilliant. They had a quiz night on the Wednesday with a great host it was such a good atmosphere. I enjoyed a few cocktails and pizza which was delicious. They had a happy hour 4 till 8 with loads of brilliant offers. Absolutely fab night.

Had a great stag weekend there and was well looked after by all the staff . The accommodation was good but was not there to sit in our room . The stag package was amazing along with the peer pong and the food was delicious and washed down with a box of beers . The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times . Close to loads of other bars and restaurants all within 10 mins walking distance. Defo recommend here for other groups boys or girls .

Great pub/restaurant tucked away in the heart of Newquay. Outdoor seating has a great view of Towan Bay. Food is good, pizza and bugers with some finger food sides.

The aesthetics of this resturant is lovely, really cool. We love the bands. It also has a cool sea view where you can see surfers. Disappointed by the food. The food was slow and luke warm. I ordered the bottomless wings as it's an offer for Wednesdays... you get an hour and a half which seems great but you will only get about 3 servings because of the speed of getting them out. My mum required a vegetarian meal and the options were limited. She had to order a kids meal and asked to have it the size of an adult meal... they said no. The toilets weren't massively clean and a bit bizarre.

Great restaurant with easy accommodation upstairs for travellers. Solid view and friendly staff I accidently left some documents in my hostel room and they were nice enough to courier it to my place far away from newquay immediately after reaching them!! Special shout out to Josh for all his help!! Will definitely be back Cheers

Huge selection of beers on tap - and an unexpected treat of a number of craft beers in cans and bottles in the fridge from various breweries around the country. Spacious inside and a great terrace overlooking the sea for the days when the sun is shining.

Great food and beer, service was spot on and it's a great location with panoramic views. Highly recommended.

Booked in for food last night, table was ready for us when we arrived with a great view looking out over the sea. Food was fairly quick to come out and lovely when it did. Had live music playing but was a nice volume and relaxed music going on so as not to disturb your meal. The staff were lovely and friendly all around, they did forget a chicken fillet in one of our burgers but brought a fresh one out without fuss and within a minute of us letting them know about that. Reasonably priced and would definitely visit again.

We ate a burger at Belushi's on a Tuesday when there is 50% off food. The food was very nice and it's a good place to hang out.

Great location. We went as a couple out of season. Not the friendliest bar staff. They seemed put out when asked to make cocktails on 241 offer. Kitchen closed early and bar closed early.

Family all had burgers and I ordered a pizza. My food came out ages after everyone else’s and the pizza was barely cooked. Being starving, I ate a few slices and left the rest. Turns out the dough was raw and I had terrible food poisoning. I have tried to contact them a few times about this with no response. Terrible service.
