Glad we didn’t rely on the reviews either as the 6 of us had a lovely meal. Sat lunchtime, wet weather. Couldn’t fault the food, tasted great, arrived quickly. We had a mix of pizza and pasta dishes with delicious garlic bread on the side. Prices similar to most other restaurants. Don’t be put off.

I have been here numerous times within the past week , food is always fantastic , recommend the linguine pescatoro, great service , nothing is ever too much , a must go to.

i never usually leave reviews but OH MY LORD. genuinely the worlds best pasta was served. i got the seafood linguine i absolutely DEVOURED IT so quickly i did. get some sauce on my white t-shirt but i didn’t care because i am happy to take some of that sauce home with me because i can’t stop thinking about it. i was on holiday and usually live 6 hours away but honestly i would drive those miles everyday just to have that pasta again. Also, the service was absolutely wonderful, lovely people and im usually pretty awkward so i don’t think i properly portray how appreciative i was for them, so that’s my second reason for this review. Loved you all !!

Superb authentic Italian food. Some of the best pasta dishes we have ever eaten. Began our meal with olives and olive oil bread washed down with draught Peroni beer. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara, my partner had fillet beef and mushrooms with parsley - Paccheri della Casa. We shared a beautifully presented, delicious salad. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio and my partner had a glass of Sangiovese. Both excellent wines. We finished with two excellent Americanos, the best coffee I’ve had in Cornwall. Our dog was made welcome and slept peacefully at our feet whilst we ate. A delightful and restful experience. Our young waiter was polite and attentive. The chef was a genius. Newquay seems to be a bit chips with everything as cheap and cheerful as it comes but if you like real food beautifully cooked and presented you should try this place. If you are a discerning diner it will not disappoint.

updates via the app proved correct. delivery instructions followed to a T, kudos to the driver who was polite and quick. the food was a delight, not a combo I'd had before on a pizza and it was complex but hit all the simple notes I want from a pizza. the bruscetta arrived still crisp and with sensible but generous amounts of topping. the pizza crust was crisp, with the perfect amount of oven char. honestly the speed of delivery and quality of food is a tough one to argue. a must if in newquay!

Milkshake was melted completely otherwise everything else was nice

delivery was good, pasta here always tastes great haven't been unhappy with anything from this delivery place.

Wonderful food and service. Just what we needed after a long day. We opted for pizza, and found them to be tasty and authentic. Really tasty. Reminded me of phones we enjoyed when we lived in Italy

My partner and I walked in to have a meal, we were given a dirty table and left unattended. Another couple came in after and was seen to straight away, its my opinion because i am black, the waiter blatantly disregard us and carry on with his other duties rather than attend to us. I was about to say something but my partner didn't want the confrontation. We eventually got up and left. What an unprofessional place.....

The food at Victoria is excellent 👌. We visited the restaurant twice during our holiday in Newquay, and both times the food was served quickly, the staff were attentive and pleasant. I only gave 3 stars for the atmosphere simply because there were only one or two couples dining when we were there. Well done Victoria 👏

I was a bit sceptical of this place given the reviews.. however, was pleasantly surprised! Great location. Food was delicious and had great gluten free options. It came out quickly and was the cheapest meal I've had - great value for money. Staff were nice and attentive. I'm really surprised by the reviews, as we had nothing but good experience

Ordered a dinner and delivery time was an hour. Then went up again. For it not to be delivered basically 2hrs later. Don’t accept orders if you can’t deliver it. Was told It was delivered and have been charged too. Tried to contact the driver and wasn’t aloud to as they use their own currier. Will Never order from here again!!

Have to say the pizzas we had from here were absolutely delicious. We had takeaway do didn’t sit in but thought the food was excellent value

my pizza was freezing cold and my milkshakes were warm and poor quality. Just glad it was delivered around the time stated so I didn't have to wait around to be disappointed.

We just stopped here for the view and seats in the sun. And were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Good fresh produce and pasta cooked to perfection - al dente style. They even bought a bowl of water for the dog

I’ve had many pizzas in my life, but this was by far the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The service was terrible as well. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Abysmal. Service was slow (we're talking 1hr 20min wait for 1 starter, there were only 2 other tables seated who were already eating) no explanation, no apology. Waitress was friendly but didn't check if we wanted more drinks, ask if we needed anything else. Food was bland. There was no atmosphere, OK low season and only 2 tables but still no music to slice through the belly rumbles waiting for good. There were also at least 10 security cameras watching your every move. Am sure they're needed but in such plain slight it was quite creepy. Guess what, we won't be going back.

2 meals sent back. 1 steak cold and grey the other chewy, manager asked should he put it back on the grill. To which I say no. I would like a fresh one cooked properly. To which then I was told they had no more steak on a Saturday at 7pm. Full of shhh. No apology. terrible attitude from the apparent manager and argumentative. Disgusting behaviour

We hadn't even finished out starter and the mains arrived sent the mains back and two minutes later waiter took my two siblings plates away whilst me and my wife still eating chef in the kitchen shouting at his staff to take mains back out . They looked absolutely terrified of him. Food was sub-standard, letting down Italian cuisine .we will never come back here.

The waitress is amazing she's got a skin head such an asset to the place food ain't all that but watching the fireworks between the Faulty Towers stereotypical Italian Manager/owner totally messing things up as wonder waitress valiantly tries to save the day from Iti Basil Faulty! Hilarious and worth the huge tip one should feel the need to slip over to long suffering staff....Bella!

Do not eat here. The food was not worth the prices charged. The dishes sounded impressive on the menu, but tasted mediocre and bland, almost as if the restaurant was not really trying. The service was barely there/poor, and the drinks were overpriced.

Arrived fairly late but they assured us the kitchen was still open. We had to pay upfront before the food arrived & the bill was rather expensive for what was ordered. When the food came my pasta dish was completely tasteless & it was luke warm at best. I asked to return the dish for a refund as the other items ordered weren’t that great either. The waiter took my food back but then never returned. Eventually I asked the tall waiter with brown hair in a ponytail if I could have the refund, he replied shrugging his shoulders & smirking at me, saying they don’t refund just because a customer doesn’t like the taste of their food! I asked to speak to the manager but he again shrugged his shoulders & said he’s busy & didn't know where he was! Clearly avoiding going to get him! So I sat & waited inside (even if it was just to tell him about my experience!) the waiter spent most of his time texting on his phone by the till. Whilst I was waiting, the lady who worked behind the bar said something to the guy with the ponytail, as she too could tell he was being pathetic! She then went to find the manager & came back to confirm that he would be coming out. When the manager did finally appear 35 mins later, he walked up to me, eyeing me up & down, looking rather menaced! I explained that my dish was not edible! And that my food was taken away without being told that I wouldn’t be getting a refund? He told me that I pushing my luck ordering food this late!! He did eventually & reluctantly give me my £15 back (to note, I only ever asked for a refund on my dish, not the entire bill!) the whole experience was just shocking! I’d like to add that the young lad, the other waiter with short brown hair was alot nicer & could certainly teach the older guy with the ponytail a thing or 2 about customer service! As for the manager, his attitude & response says it all! Avoid Avoid Avoid!!

Google has to fox this rating issues why give people 1 star when they actually deserve minus 10 for example. Came here to have a family dinner and we had to wait 40min for our startes, we then recieved our food and one plate was brought by mistake. The food is not tasty and if u are looking for quality italian food do not go is not going to be what u are looking for. There was 5 waiters running around and actually just half of tables outside was busy they was confused with orders. We recieved food but then we had to ask for the cutlery everything is overpriced and not tasty at all we ordered a lot of stuff including sea food and meat and everything was a disappointment. It is a shame to have such good location and to be preparing food which is meant to be delicious and delivering this. Please improve or close.

The food was very nice, and the staff was trying the best to make this visit pleasant. The star down is that, in our opinion, the food was a bit too expensive for what it was.

After 45 minutes of waiting and multiple requests for a card, it was not possible to order anything. None of the 5 running around, poorly organized employees felt responsible. The table was wiped down in the meantime, that was it. We got up and left.

Staff could barely speak English, they got the order wrong and we waited for over 40 mins for our meal and we were at that point the only customers in the restaurant. The front of house was very domineering with his staff. We are local and will not be returning.

Food was bland, risotto was bland, chicken over cooked, carbonara was okay, as was pizza, poor customer service, no one checked on how the food was, the fish platter for around £25 was not tasty, poorly cooked. No one was impressed as the food tasted cheap, over cooked, and bland. I guess everyone has different experiences of this place.

Britain's worst restaraunt. Was like some thing from Ramseys kitchen nightmares. Waited so long for our starters. An Italian restaraunt thats stuck in the 80s. The meatball tapas we had as a starter were grey and hard inside, they looked old and microwaved. The pickled calamari took the longest to come out because they were not pickled but defrosted. It was presented on bowl of old lettuce. Also had other various orders that were incorrect. They very quickly offer refunds on each dish which just showed how commonly they must recieve complaints. We didn't wait for mains. We paid for our drinks and left. Hopefully I don't get food prising from the meatball I ate... we read the reviews but ended up here as a last resort because everywhere else was busy. You'd be better off eating a microwave meal at home

Very disappointed with the menu advertised king prawns on dishes and served ordinary prawns.

Been two nights in a row with a very fussy eater. Food was excellent in quality and taste. Would recommend for everyone to try it. Nice and quiet due to being out of season, waitress could not do enough for us, very pleasant visits. Also no complaints from the fussy Scouser

Our daughter treated us to a meal here whilst on holiday for our wedding anniversary. It is expensive but the food is really lovely.

The venue was quite plush but the atmosphere let it down. I think the chef and waiter had a tiff when we were there. Had to make a complaint but tbf the didnt charge for my meal so that was fair

My partner and I ate at restaurant Victoria and were pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews. Admittedly the menu was very limited as they were short staffed (assumed because of covid) and there was only one waiter serving the whole restaurant while running the cocktail bar. I was craving a carbonara which was not on the menu and the waiter had one made up especially, which was delicious. The restaurant is gorgeous and in a stunning location with sea views, with lovely accommodating staff. Would highly recommend.

Friendly atmosphere, lovely staff, nice drinks, beautiful decor. Worth a visit if only for a drink or two.

If vegetarian not an ideal place for dining. Lack of vegetarian options on offer. Overpriced. Wouldn't eat here again.

Absolutely disgusting service at this place if you can call it service as we booked for a table for 2 and when we arrived the restaurant was closed. No phonecall, no email nothing just let us turn up, wont be using this restaurant no more lost our custom for good!!!

Lovely food and a great cocktail

Friendly staff, we had pizzas which were really nice. Prices a little more expensive but thst might be because its newquay. It was the only restaurant we could get into but we were pleased.

The service wasn’t great. It seemed they were short staffed on the day we went. My partners pizza was quite soggy and my “special” tagliatelle dish came out as chopped up spaghetti like a childs meal costing £20 which definitely wasn’t worth it. Was a shame.

Worst customer service i have ever experienced in my whole life. The staff were AWFULLY RUDE and i have no idea how this restaurant is still open. If you fancy paying over £15 for a bowl of watery pasta and £9 for a disgusting 'cocktail' and to get shouted at/ treated absolutely disgustingly awfully by waiting staff definitely check this place out.

Slow service, dirty restaurant, horribly overpriced food unfortunately. Sauce and vinegar bottles laying around the side were from lidl and the tabasco was a very strange colour, tables were dirty or half heartedly wiped with a cloth, there were crumbs everywhere. The pizza was OK but I've had better £6 pizza from a food truck. For the price, you expect a high end restaurant but our experience unfortunately did not live up to it.

I booked a table online. In the restaurant, the staff knows nothing about the reservation. Many other people complain about the same reason. Chicken breast in breadcrumbs that is below all. It is difficult to find meat between the layers of breadcrumbs. Staff very unhelpful and rude.I do not recommend.

Avoid like the plague. This is only being used as a cash cow for the unsuspecting, owner and staff have a complete contempt, disregard and arrogance towards their customers. They very recently were awarded a one star hygiene rating so potential health risk too. Do your research and be aware of their common theme of 1 star ratings on trip advisor

shocking service, waiter inside talks to you like trash, got seated and left for 20 minutes without being asked if we want a drink, bar was fully covered in empty glasses, which the staff ended up knocking over and smashing them over floor. ended up walking out and they didn't care at all.

As a trip advisor review stated, you would receive better service at Alcatraz. Waited 20 mins for a drinks order to be taken, waited a further 20-30 mins for a food order to be taken. When the food turned up one of the items was wrong. Waited another long period for the bill and ended up approaching the bar to pay. The person behind the bar didn't acknowledge me. The food is overpriced and I would advise the place to be avoided. Trip advisor has numerous reviews of the place 50% have reviewed it as "terrible", best avoided if you are looking for good service and food at a reasonable price.

Started well, lovely cocktails in the mid after moon, super quick service and lovely polite staff :) very happy!! . As soon as dinner time came around, service slowed considerably and staff kept forgetting drinks that we order 1 hour ago. A margarita that has 3 ingredients!! Easy right? Surely…? ‘Excuse me, we ordered two margarita drinks an hour ago and have asked 3 times about that’ ‘Oh, you ordered drinks?’ We didn’t have any food we were still there just for drinks

3 1/2 stars? More like 3 1/2 hours to get anything. Stop relying on having a decent view to excuse a slow service and a bad attitude. Seek Gordon Ramsay’s help. Please.

No customer relations what so ever. Very expensive. Food is good. Service is appalling. Such a shame. Don't be fooled into thinking you can order take away either. Your asked to leave a number for them to call you back, which never happens!!

Awful place. Do not waste your time. We booked using their online system and received a confirmation email. When we arrived there was a queue and a family left the restaurant telling everyone not to bother as they’d been sitting waiting for over an hour with no service! I went in as the tables were full - no sign of our reserved table. The wait staff were unresponsive and when someone did approach me I told her I’ve booked and she said I can’t see your name and just shrugged her shoulders. I showed her the email and she again just shrugged her shoulders and said we don’t take bookings after the morning?! Then she walked off! I walked out leaving another couple waiting to be seated but were just being ignored. Not impressed

My girlfriend and I went to Victoria on our last night of our holiday to Newquay having walked past it a few times and noticing how good it looked. We booked our table and were met by a queue at the door and we soon realised this was because there was no front of house member of staff so we were just being left without a clue on what was happening. Eventually we, and others, went in and approached the bar staff and they took us to our tables. It was then that we noticed that in total (kitchen staff included) there were 5 members of staff (likely because of covid and of course we understand places are short staffed) we then spent another 20 minutes waiting until someone came to take our drinks order, at which we jumped on and ordered our food as well to avoid the wait again. The starters arrived and unfortunately the calamari was inedible and we noted a few other customers leaving this starter (which cost upwards of £8). Once they arrived, the mains were lovely (albeit incredibly overpriced, £22 for a pasta dish). Once finished, we waited half an hour before giving up and asking them for the bill ourselves. For some coke, 2 starters and 2 mains, our bill came to £80 after a generally disappointing experience. As I said, we understand places are short staffed but it was clear from the waitresses, that the priority was to clean tables and seat walk ins instead of seeing to the many tables of waiting customers already in there. We spoke to quite a few other customers who had had the same experience and were left as disappointed as us. To finish, limit the amount of people you let in, prioritise your current customers and please don't avoid customers clearly waiting to ask something.

Quite expensive and it took nearly 2 hours for the food to arrive at our table. Not worth it.

This was a really poor experience from start to finish. Our table was booked for 7 pm and we didn't have a drinks order taken until after 7:30. We ordered food at the same time including a starter as the two children were hungry and specifically asked for it to placate the children while we waited for the mains, only for the starter to arrive with the rest of the food at 8:50! Almost TWO hours after we arrived. When the food did arrive the children were served pizza when we ordered pasta for them and my sisters spaghetti bolognese was virtually free of any meat and was mostly spaghetti! We ordered three other meals (pizzas) and they were acceptable but certainly not worth the wait. Newquay gets very busy this time of year, granted but I do expect a restaurant that charges a penny shy of £16 for a pizza to at least be able to manage guest numbers and not leave customers waiting almost 2 hours for their meals. An acknowledgement of the unacceptably long wait would at least have been a token gesture of their failings but even that wasn't forthcoming. Avoid.

Terrible service. Fifteen minutes waiting at the door, the waitresses passed by and didn't look at us in the face. We asked if we could sit down, tired of waiting, we cleaned our table and waited 15 more minutes to order two beers and 10 for them to be brought to us. We had to get up to order two pizzas. After 20 more minutes our pizzas arrive, one of them wrong, luckily we shared and while we were eating one he brought the second. The pizzas are delicious, but I don't know if it's worth waiting so long.

Disgraceful service ….never in my life have I been so annoyed with such a bad attitude from the waitress. This establishment does not deserve to have a successful season. On entering yesterday for a coffee firstly the waitress reluctantly acknowledged when we entered then when I asked about them doing coffee and cake for a large party when there was no one else in there she nodded without saying a word, I asked again if it was ok and she pointed to a table and said “ok” not making us feel welcome or like she wanted our custom. Feeling so unwelcome I asked again if it was ok and she didn’t answer so I asked was it to much trouble to whixh once again no answer although she was by now looking at us! Clearly we were not welcome and it was to much trouble for them to make some coffee and serve us! No wonder they were the only venue in Newquay that had no one in there!! I can clearly see why. I would strongly suggest you do not visit do you don’t feel as uncomfortable or unwelcome as I did!!

Really nice food but the staff arnt great and there is no greeting area for someone to seat you we walked in waited at the door to be seated and a guy working there just kept barging past us. Waiting staff could be alot friendlyer to always looking misrable kitchen staff are brilliant you can.see them cooking fresh products and serve and clear tables aswell

My first one star review, this place is awful avoid if you can. We waited more than hour for a Pizza's and when we got the Pizza the cutlery was basically thrown to the table and I even had to stand up to get my own napkins awful service. When I asked for the food the waiter with weird hair cut even shout us that we need to wait after I been waiting more than hour. If they are too busy they shouldn't let people in and make them wait. The pizza was not well cooked and scallops were disappointed.
