I can't recommend this Italian restaurant enough..The food was sensational, service impeccable and reasonable priced 😄

Gino’s is our local Italian restaurant and we try to eat there to support our local restaurants. Today unfortunately, we were very disappointed and will not be going back. My pizza was overcooked and a bit burnt on the crust so there was all the crusts left on my plate and the waitress asked if we enjoyed it so I told her no it was burnt. My daughter’s pasta dish included peppercorns which were not stated on the menu. We were charged full price and they even charged us a ‘service charge’. Very overpriced for what they serve!

Gorgeous food, great atmosphere and impeccable service. I had a 10/10 evening here, the food was so delicious, oh my gosh the Italian sausage pasta I’ll dream about it forever, seriously!!!! The food was genuine and authentic Italian. Loved the specials board, we had 3x pastas between the three of us with two starters and it was perfect. We sat in the window with a lovely view of the sea. Our taxi was running late after they closed and they still served us a glass while we waited: it was so very kind and they really hosted us well. Can’t wait to return!

We arrived at 9:15pm and they said they could still serve us, and we're so grateful since we'd been working since 8:30am and were starving. The food was delicious. My pizza was fantastic, the dough was so soft and light whilst crispy. I devoured it. The mussels were beautiful. Thank you so much. We're so glad we found you. Xxx

We haven’t been here for 30 years after having a terrible experience but this evening it was getting late and there wasn’t much else open so we decided to risk it and came here. Yet did we know that it was under much better managing. We ordered a fungi pizza, and two of spaghetti dishes for mains and two tiramisus for dessert. The pizza is cooked to perfection, and the heavy mushroom flavour from the freshly picked mushrooms was incomparable. The spaghetti dishes are quite similar to each other with the only real difference being some supporting ingredients. The tiramisu was very nice and humble with pleasant coffee sponge and the chocolate on the cream is a superb addition. The atmosphere is very nice, could do with a fresh coat of paint but there is effort behind it but gives many hints of authenticity. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. I am assuming it is under new management because this was better than 30 years ago indeed. I am indeed a new regular!

After ten days in Britain, we were looking for something totally different cuisine-wise and Gino’s was right next door to Queen’s Hotel where we were staying while in Penzance. We were greeted warmly and taken to a comfy table in it’s own space so we didn’t feel crowded. We four all ordered the green salad and focaccia to start, and then we each had our own pizza. The salad and focaccia was the best part of the meal. Maybe it’s because we haven’t eaten a lot of salad on the trip, but the menu called the green salad the GOAT and it was delicious. The pizzas are a good size for one person although three of the four of us had leftovers. The pizza didn’t blow us away, but we all enjoyed it well enough. The best part about the restaurant was the lovely Alex, who was eager to accommodate our multiple requests for ice (we’re Americans and we like ice in our drinks) and was just generally very pleasant. We’re finding Britain very expensive in general, so this meal was comparatively very reasonable. And I must say, it was a real plus for us that they took cash instead of only credit cards.

We hadn’t been to this restaurant for over 30 years. We are local. Our first experience was such that we always said we wouldn’t go there again. However, whilst out on a walk along the sea front in Penzance, we decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a go. We were very pleasantly surprised. The layout has changed over the years. We were greeted by a young lady who made us very welcome. She found us a lovely table, and pointed out the specials board. Her colleague looked after us from that point onwards. This young lady was also very friendly and helpful. The food was really good. We will be back and will bring others with us. Thank you.

Worst pizza ever and massively over priced ... dated decor...

Not bad but the prices are far too high , £10 for a tiramisu is a bit much dont you think ?

Very expensive for drinks and food. Quantity of alcoholic drinks are smaller. Ice Making machine was broken down, Pizza served was partially un - cooked , when complained even after one hours waiting, we were told Pizza Oven is not working properly. Two young waitresses wo were the only staff had language barrier. They charge 10% service charge, which in Menu says is discretionary. It was a pathetic experience being a tourist.

We were late to dinner and they generously opened up for us to have a wonderful meal. It was incredible, delicious and the service was first rate. Such a lovely staff and a wonderful place to eat and feel like you are with family.

Me and my girlfriend had a good experience with this restaurant. We ordered 2 pizzas capricciosa and tiramisu for dessert. The pizza was fresh and tasty, properly baked and the taste just how we like it. The tiramisu was a little different from what we are used to have, had some chocolate sprinkles on top of the cacao, but we enjoy it and was a pleasent experience. We had 2 young waitresses who made us feel welcomed and were very attentive to our needs and served us with a genuine smile. The restaurant had vintage décor and looked clean. Decent prices for the location ££.

Excellent arrabiata pasta, crab fettuccine and Mussels chilli..flavourful and tasty..Chef kissed and the staff are so nice and helpful.

Authentic and delicious Italian cuisine.

Omdöme är svårt, för smaken är olika. Gillar du degiga feta pizzor, med massor av ost så är det här något för dig. Personligen gillade jag dem inte alls.

were almost regular every night for 4 nights other places were closed early but Gino's was open till 10pm everything was fabulous- the food and the desserts and especially the service will come back again whenever am in penzance

What a place! Gino's is an often overlooked gem of a restaurant, located with scenic views of Mounts Bay. The decor is beautifully vintage in feel, and oozes charm and warmth, you feel like you've stepped back in time, but in a good way. Their menu is just right, a good variety of pizza and pasta, Italian cocktails (strong coffee liqueur too) and a nice specials board too. I had crab linguine and it was delicious! Their focaccia was so moreish, as good as any high end restaurant in town. The portions are generous and Margo creates a cheerful atmosphere. This is a great place to have a birthday meal, they take bookings by phone, but I prefer email and that was no problem either. Just such a wonderful place and I hope it never changes, it's so great!

Stayed at Hotel next door. The pizzas my grandson & i had was the best crust i had ever had, topping delicious on both. So friendly & chatted to us. Very good Dry Rose

I travelled around italy for 3 weeks last summer and had the time of my life. Since returning i have been searching to find food that can compete. THIS IS THE PLACE! Me and my family all had different pasta dishes on the menu and each one was supurb! The service was amazing and the food was heavenly. The best Italian food i've eaten since reaching British soil. 😁

Very nice service and food that allows you to travel to Italy without packing your bags. I recommend it for a date, because the local paste will help you win your partner's heart. I will definitely come back for more!

Staff were pleasant and polite, and the restaurant was comfortable and nicely laid out, with a few window seats overlooking Mounts Bay. Sadly the food was another matter. Our two different pasta dishes arrived fairly quickly but looked strangely dull and uninspiring, which proved to be the case upon eating, and they were overpriced for what we were given. My husband’s pasta was undercooked. Upon receiving the bill we noticed that a ‘discretionary’ 10% service charge had been added. When we questioned this, we were told that the menu included this information, and we were shown tiny print at the bottom of the page, detailing the charge, which most people would miss. No offer to waive the service charge was made, and we left the restaurant feeling that not only had we had been obliged to pay too much for the food, but had had to pay another 10% on top. On looking at the menu on display outside, we saw that this information about the service charge was missing! A customer on a nearby table also had cause to complain about her food as being ‘tasteless’. Needless to say, we will not go back.

Bful food, extremely tasty. We had the penne pasta and tiramasu for dessert. Lovely views of the ocean while eating. Highly recommend.

Friendly service, nice ambience and good food Recommended

A quiet Tuesday evening away for business. A really friendly welcome from the ladies and I had the crab linguine special. Tasted exceptional for a little Italian by the sea. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Penzance. Excellent staff and amazing pasta/ pizza to match!

The food was super tasty and affordable! The atmosphere was relaxed and authentic. The staff were lovely and attentive and showed genuine care. I had the Penne garlic pasta and it was genuinely so fantastic it blew my mind. The panna cotta was delicious and creamy, and great value for money. I definitely recommend :)

Expensive for what it is! Linguine was dry no sauce on it after being asked if we wanted foccacia to mop the juices up with!! Had better italian for the price. Friendly service. Unfortunately left feeling disappointed with the meals we received for over £100.

We had a lovely meal actually quite romantic, last Fri 19th April, service was amazing and the food definitely delicious definitely recommend ( We had the Chef specials crab linguine)

We so enjoyed yesterday's dinner that we returned today! The food is incredible. Really good seafood and pasta dishes, as well as excellent pizza. And the pannacota was an excellent way to end the meal. Sitting in the window, across from the seafront promenade, made for excellent views to enjoy during dinner.

Lovely quiet Italian restaurant with the view of the Prom and sea! The menu isn’t big but it is all made fresh and tasted lovely, the prices are also reasonable. I went for the Romana pizza and it was full of flavour and tasted divine. Followed by a classic Tiramisu for dessert… it was quite honestly one of the best Tiramisu’s I’ve ever had. I’m so glad Gino’s is open again and I hope they gain more customers, the service was outstanding and would definitely recommend to anyone local in Penzance or visiting to go here. 5 stars for me.

10/10 had the seafood specials really traditional,enjoyable food, great music ,good atmosphere and vibes. Served professionally will definetly be coming back again. Thank you for great food on a birthday evening.

For the main course I had a gluten free Penne All Arrabiata (so nice to feel included) and my friends shared a Capricciosa Pizza, incredible home made base and delicious toppings! Generous portions and fairly priced! We finished off with Tiramisu and Torta Di Riso Massese, we didn't want it to end, and devoured the lot! Divine traditional Italian food with a friendly atmosphere, warm and welcoming service by the lovely Margaret! 10/10 recommend! We will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely wonderful! I had spaghetti Amitriciana, it’s the best I have ever had! The homemade focaccia was so tasty and light and very very moreish! Wine was beautifully chilled and you can choose to have a carafe if you don’t want a whole bottle. Fantastic service, and certainly with a smile and couldn’t do enough to help. Graci!

Enjoyed a delicious meal, pasta the best ever. Very welcoming and lovely view from our window seat over the bay. Couldn't fault food or service. To the point where I left my sunglasses on the table and the waitress ran out after us to hand them back. Perfect night out. Reasonably priced too.

The worst meal I’ve had in 6 weeks of touring Scotland and England. Frozen calamari used in a restaurant on the sea front, which was poorly and inadequately cooked. The pizza was the only saving grace. A glass of wine, the most expensive double espresso (machine made with no crema), and digestivo for £52.

Have lived in Penzance for years and always wondered what it was like in here. Overall the staff were friendly and the food quite tasty - if not a little on the pricey side. Service was also a bit slow considering it wasn't that busy. Its a nice place to come and eat if you want great views of the sea. Also mind your head if you're tall and need th loo, I'm not sure why the ceiling is so low but definitely an experience 😆

Very clean, nice, tasty food and quick service

Prime location, Italian restaurant with Chinese decor and Polish chefs. Although it sounds incredible the food is really poor, we had a tagliatelle ragu which had a souce thickened with flour and sweetened with sugar and the worst pizza sauce I have ever had. The service was superb and the views are stunning. Shame to burden such a location with terrible food. Please go to Italy and learn if you want to run an Italian restaurant called Gino's spaghetti House.

My adult family really liked the meal here. Service started off a bit slow (a busy night and it seems family run). But the food was excellent and authentic stuff. Friendly staff. Be sure to check the specials board: it seems to depend on what fresh seafood they've bought in. Recommended.

Probably the worst Italian I have ever had. Overcooked Penne, over thick sauce, very poor menu and extremely over priced. This is not Italian at all. £10 for a bowl of penne with simple tomato sauce for my 1 year old daughter! Cordial for her cost £2! No black pepper or Parmesan! No knife offered to eat lasagna! To add to this, the fact that it was boiling hot, there was a congealed lump of unmelted mild cheddar in the middle, rather than melted mozzarella. Made me gag. High chair offered for my daughter had previous users food over it, didn’t have securing straps so a real H&S concern as my daughter attempted to climb out several times and ended up on my knee instead. I feel ripped off, totally.

Had a great meal at Gino's last night. The food was excellent. In particular, the scallops (from the specials board) were delicious. While the service was slower than we're used to in Berlin, we found the waitress very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed starters, mains, dessert, wine and a digestiv in a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. I thoroughly recommend Gino's Spaghetti House.

Been here a few times now, always amazing food! The only thing I'd mention is the service was really slow last time round, the lovely waitress was very busy trying to see to everyone and we had to wait over half an hour after asking for the bill. But this will not discourage us from coming again, it's a lovely restaurant, great atmosphere and delicious food!

I wouldn't have thought it possible to make such a terrible job of putting some fresh seafood with a bowl of pasta!!! All of it overcooked and rubbery, with no discernible flavouring or any sauce to make it remotely palatable.. Not cheap, either, so shockingly poor value overall - avoid at all cost, even if you're desperate!

Nice setting with lovely sea views. However my pizza had the thinest crust l have ever eaten andcas resultvwas very crispy. Toppings were also very sparse. We paid £17 for a spaghetti boulegnese . This was such a small portion that we has buy my son some chips, elsewhere afterwards, as his appetite was barely satisfied! Staff were pleasant but it took a long time for us to initially order drinks and then food. One course and a single drink cost us £25 per head. We didn't indulge in a dessert costing £10 per portion so can't comment on those. All in all l would say the food is very overpriced for what you receive.

Lovely Pizza. Staff were friendly. It was quite busy when we were there. Good atmosphere.

We almost didn’t go here because of the 3.5 rating, but I’m so glad we did! The food was excellent. The focaccia came out piping hot, airy and chewy with an excellent crust. Our salads were superbly fresh. The lasagna was made from scratch with excellent flavor. Our waitress joyfully served us with a smile and gave excellent recommendations. Would certainly go back for another meal!

Dropped in here for tea whilst staying in the area for the night. It was very quiet. Looked at reviews before going in and decided to give it a go. Lovely staff. Tasty food. Very accommodating. Everything appeared to be home made and fresh. A little pricey. Service charge added to bill as well which I thought was not needed given prices. All in all a nice place to eat.

Really enjoyed our visit. Very accommodating staff as they were nice attentive people who cared. The starters were excellent and with the beetroot salads healthy. My sons calamari was well received. The bolognaise was tasty and my monkfish from the specials generous and well cooked. The prawns were nice and although a sauce I haven’t had for a while it was a genuinely welcome return to fine flavours that work. Glad to see this happy kind venue busy.

Booked a table for two, lovely table by the window. Very good service from time we entered to leaving. The two starters were nice, mushrooms and a beetroot and feta salad. Followed by two great pizzas.. the wine was good and even the coffee at the end was nice. Second visit here and definitely be back as live fairly close.

Fabulous service by an old Italian lady however food was shocking. I got funghi pizza and my partner ordered Spaghetti bolognaise unfortunately it was bland as hell, you can find better frozen pasta and pizza in the Iceland supermarket. Food was extremely over priced as well but I guess as a costal vendor you have to pay a large sum of rent.

Disappointing meal where a main of Mussels at £22.95 was served with no fries or bread and the carbonara was served with no offer of black pepper or parmesan the bill at £123 was extortionate for what we had much better places to eat

Excellent food! The staff member who served us was brilliant too! She made us feel as if we are there regular customers! Very please about deciding to go there. The steak was melting in the mouth, it was so tender, juicy and flavourful. The only thing we didn’t like was the Calamari, it was quite chewy! Other than that it was really lovely experience here. The view from the restaurant was also quite nice. It was just right beside the sea. Went for a lovely walk on the seafront after lunch.

Manager in charge with accent was lovely, up to date specials board, a little pricey for quality, for example the spaghetti Bolognese was a little bland. Lovely to look out onto Penzance front, lots of wine options available, it's lovely for a quick bite walking by.

Service sehr nett und freundlich. Toller Meerblick. Spaghetti Bolognese geschmacklos, wenig Bolognese, lieblos angerichtet. Die Pizza war so mäßig ohne frische Gewürze.

My husband and his brothers had just finished the Classic Quarter ultra marathon and we were all desperately seeking somewhere to have some dinner. Ginos were able to fit us in on extremely short notice. When we arrived, my husband was in a very bad way- a result of running 44 miles in the beaming sun! But the team at Ginos went above and beyond to care for all of us, especially him. Nothing was too much for them, even my husbands bizarre requests for pints of milk and a cold cloth for his forehead! They even set us up in the private back room and let him lie across a chaise lounge. Our waitress (didn’t get her name!) was just absolutely brilliant, she provided the best service I think any of us have ever received. The food was just delicious, the pizzas were nice and thin and crispy and the spaghetti bolognaise went down a treat. Unfortunately, we live in Hampshire, so probably won’t be back in Penzance for quite some time, but when we do return I am sure we will be going back to Ginos (hopefully with my husband in a better state!). Great service and good value authentic food for 10 people at very short notice

Great value authentic quantity food and service to match...I will return.... Thanks for fixing my son with milk and pasta...he has fuly recovered from his heatstroke and exhaustion following the ultra marathon!

We had a delicious dinner here recently. The server was very friendly and prompt. We enjoyed sitting by the front with a view of the ocean. The salad was very fresh with lots of vegetables and olive oil/balsamic on the side. Both of our pasta dishes were tasty! We would definitely return.

Situated right along the promenade, Gino’s is great for watching the sea, sunset and cyclists go by! A beautiful location with great food that is made in the traditional way still - from sauces to pasta and with local fresh ingredients. The service was excellent and food tasty. We had the bolognaisse and carbonara with garlic bread. We liked that we could order Cornish gin and beer.

Took a gamble on our adventures, real passionate food. The host was like an Italian nonna and you could see her happiness at us enjoying our food. It was banging and side note, the home made tiramisu is a game changer. Bravo.
