Caffe Pasta in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Now trading as Cintra.. OK food, but very expensive for what was on offer. We eat out on a regular basis, we wouldn't be tempted back here any time soon. Nice location looking over the harbour

So I walked past one afternoon and saw the menu, crap and prawn pasta bake OMG I had a cheeky pint on the harbour before and I could not get a table it is so popular But Ha Hoo I rolled up my sleeves and went back on Sunday night and happy days I just got in Great place excellent Service and the food did not disappoint Wonderful view to boot Enjoy

We arrived for our booking and we’re giving a window seat, as requested. The staff were pleasant and efficient in taking our orders and brought our starters. However, only two of our three main courses arrived. Rather than waiting for our questions about the missing order the staff recognised this and checked the order before ensuring the kitchen were informed. Whilst the delay was unfortunate the way the staff handled this ensured that this did not spoil our evening and I/we enjoyed the meal and the experience of our visit. I would recommend the food and the staff as both were excellent

Shocking pizza. A Co-op pizza is fine dining compared to what is served. Like bland food? This is the place for you.

Restaurant is situated in a lovely location by the beach but the food was very disappointing. Ordered sourdough pizza the base was really thin lack of toppings and bland taste. Very expensive considering small size of pizza. Left still feeling hungry and will definitely not be going back there again.

4.30 in the afternoon on a warm sunny Sunday and it’s shut. Staff sat outside smoking and drinking and turning customers away while they chat in the sun.

Warm friendly welcome on entry to this well located restaurant on the waterfront. The service was attentive and professional and as I am a bit fussy, really appreciated that my requests did not appear to be any trouble. Garlic bread was delicious being just a little crisp on the crust but beautifully moist and garlicky. My pasta was al dente and the sauce really tasty. Cocktails were presented beautifully and tasted great ! Definitely keep this restaurant in mind for a delicious and wholesome meal.

I last came to this restaurant three years ago before covid.I was looking forward to dining there as my last visit the food was nice.I had the same meal this time.The first thing I noticed was the size of the meal had shrunk.The dish was about a third smaller.The food wasn’t cooked that well with a lot of water at the bottom of the dish which contained pasta.It was almost like a pre prepared package meal.The salad was paltry and poor value.The only saving grace was the chips..I will never go there again.St Ives in general is becoming overpriced.

My partner and I have been coming to Caffe Pasta for years now. We live in Penzance but come to St Ives just to visit this restaurant as much as possible. This was our first time bringing our almost 2 year old though, and she loved the place and food just as much as we always do! Staff are always so accommodating and the food is delicious every time! We can’t wait to come back soon!

We have visited here regularly and food and service always top notch, unfortunately this wasn’t the case on our last visit. Ordered wine this didn’t arrive and we had to chase. Staff happily talking to each other behind the bar and the bread starters were also below standard , tasted stale. £16 for a main course in a tiny dish which was dry and overcooked. The staff appeared unconcerned. Restaurant wasn’t over busy but no one came to ask if everything was ok ?? Very disappointing,, the bread was refunded but no apology.. overall letdown on a Birthday visit.

We visited twice this week. Amazing fresh sourdough pizzas and equally great pasta (recommend the hoisin duck pizza and crab and Atlantic prawn bake). Lovely friendly service, a great location and overall superb food, definitely recommeded

For years this has been the most consistent restaurant in St.Ives. You always knew what you were going to get - so what happened? I know getting chefs / staff is tough nowadays but if you’re charging £19 for a main course it needs to be decent, not over cooked and dry. Staff generally not bothered. No leader. The attitude seems to be ‘we have a restaurant in the busiest seaside town in the UK in prime position so don’t need to try’. Slippery slope and off our list. Shame.

The food here is really delicious with I great atmosphere, however if you a vegetarian then it a choice of Two Pizza's on the menu. Used to lovely vegetarian pasta but no longer. With more and more people choosing not to eat meat it not cater for here.

We visited St Ives for our twice a year visit and as always never disappointed. I think we called into Cafe Pasta 3 times this visit and as normal the food was excellent and staff are really keen to ensure they looked after us. The Crispy Duck pizza is always worth a try and it’s one of the best I’ve had and I’ve had a few. I told the waiter that it’s the best pizza south of Bristol. Great place great service but I would suggest that you book to same disappointment. Highly recommend See you again later in the year. G&L
