Zizzi - Falmouth in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

An absolutely brilliant, small chain of restaurants. The food options are plentiful and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. We love coming here for brunch and smaller bites. The opening hours are great for us, as we are always fairly early risers and tend to arrive to places before the majority of shops/cafes open. We’ve become slightly addicted and now visit whenever we can, when down in the area on holidays.

Mistakenly sent my order to the wrong location, and they kindly called the other location and corrected my mistake. So friendly and nice, would 100% recommend. The food is also amazing here.

Popped in for lunch and had the lunch deal burger, side and drink for £10 well worth it and the good was delicious, deffo our lunch spot when we pop to Falmouth thanks guys stahh were lovely too

Smallest burger I've ever had, chips dry with no taste, genuinely prefer the McDonald's burger which definetly is not a gold sign as its half the cost! Would really recommend meat counter over this 100%.

Popped in here while walking around. Great little place, unfortunately ran out of chicken wings but the chicken tenders definitely made up for it. They were light fluffy and just perfect as was the onion rings.. which were probably the best and biggest we have ever had. My wife loved her milkshake and the cider was cold! The guy that served us was super friendly and chatty and would highly recommend to check this place out

This place serves good grub but it’s getting more and more expensive. Two burgers, one skin on fries, one cheesy fries, a lemonade and a beer was £52 with the pre-added service tax(which I think is very naughty) we are locals so we visit Truro and Falmouth often. The service is most definitely not worth 10% of the bill and I nearly didn’t notice it had been added and was about to add a tip because “that’s what you do”

I play for a local football team, we come here after every match, the staff are always super welcoming to our big group, always having the space for us! Super friendly and great service, asking us about how our game went and striking up conversations, the food is absolutely lovely and so is the alcohol, couldn't recommend more enough!

Oh yummery! I had the tastiest bean patty here, it had a delicious sauce and the whole burger and bun was so big I had to eat with a knife and fork! The fries were also the best skinny fries I've had (having spent time up north I know what a good chip feels like!) The drinks were good, the atmosphere was good as well! Absolutely no complaints.

Really great service, the staff really went above and beyond to make my friends 21st birthday special, we really appreciate what they did for us! The food was delicious, as were the cocktails. The location is also gorgeous with a lovely interior and a stunning view.

Great food and draught beer, unfortunately waiting 20 minutes to order another drink/pay is totally unacceptable, especially as there were only three tables left at this point. Such a shame.

What a nice place! Lovely views over the harbour and the meal burger for £9.99 was an absolute winner. We pimped our burgers. With the £4 for all the trimmings upgrade and I will be completely honest it was the best burger I’ve had in ages even better than the boo-koo burger. Amazing 🤩 not much left as was so good 🥳🤤😋

The staff is great, everyone is kind and willing to help, the food is also very good, I had one of the best burgers ever! BUT we waited for 30+ minutes for 2 coffees, and the food took ages to arrive at the table.

Could best be described as organised chaos, despite not actually being that busy. However they were quite happy to talk to the chef and sorted out the severe allergy in our party very well with an adjusted non standard dish. Standard menu food was great too. Food came quite quick and well ahead of the drinks, clearly struggling on the bar that night from the amount of dirties building up on top. But friendly and understanding staff and good food, I'd happily go back.

Food service was slow, and despite the beer list displayed, they had none of those beers available. The food was tasty, though.

The food was great, we ordered two gluten-free burgers and two regular ones for lunch and they were all very tasty. The staff was so kind and helpful and the place itself is very comfy, with great views and well-located.

Great food and unreal sweet potato fries! The service provided by Ethan was excellent. I definitely recommend a visit if you're looking for fuss-free food.

Food was awful! 'Salad' on burgers was soggy, chips were soggy, onion rings super greasy! Absolute waste of £76! Never again

Absolutely fabulous chicken burger, loved the garlic mayo and coleslaw. Great service. Just two important disappointments. My wineglass with wine in it still had an imprint of someone's lipstick on it and smudges. I discretely mentioned it and they quickly apologised, taking the glass away. I expected a new clean glass but got the same one back that was wiped a bit. The other was the bottle filled with ordinary water. It was sticky to touch and had food marks on it. Come on guys! But i'll be back again because the burger was scummy! Will see if the utensils etc are spotless next time.

It's rare to find such dedicated staff who go above and beyond to create a memorable experience. We'll definitely be returning to Hub Box, and a big part of that is thanks to Ethan's excellent service.Thank you, Ethan, for making our lunch truly enjoyable. You're a star!

Never knew hubbox done bottomless brunch but so glad we done it! Great atmosphere and great service.

Burgers are amazing, i recommend getting two burgers and forgetting the chips, never had a better chicken burger in my life ! .

First time at a Hub Box and we're impressed. It's a premier burger joint in one of the best positions in Falmouth. Prices were good as well. Will go again.

Burger and chips was good and came fairly quickly. One item was missed, we reminded and received. Desert menu looked good and also wanted coffee, however sat for ages waiting for service, which never came. So paid and left.

We visited whilst on holiday and enjoyed it so much we went back twice! Decent choice of drinks and burger options (I recommend the 'hub og' - juicy and very tasty!). Slaw and Caesar salad sides were fresh and went well with our burgers. We didn't order the loaded fries but from what I saw arriving at other tables, I'd definitely try them if we were in the area again. We liked the decor and atmosphere, and the place is dog friendly which was great for us. Staff were friendly and attentive without hovering. Would recommend!

Went here for a lunch date with the missus, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere had a great vibe, there's a great view of the marina, then to the food, OMG exceptional burger, Bookoos U say no no no the hubbox Falmouth is the best burger

Worst experience here. Burger over cooked. Bacon was basically burnt. Waiting staff seated us but seemed more interested gossiping with other staff than serving. Food was dry overcooked. Waiting staff then took plate from in front of me while I was still eating. Top it off paid and their machine said declined, but took out money from our account. Manager said it happens all the time but we had to pay a second time, our money was meant to be returned within 48 hours but it hasn’t. Don’t let them charge you twice if it left your account you paid it’s their issue. Almost got charge for the guys meal on table next to us as well!!!!! Honestly worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Only nice bit was the view of the harbour.

Hub Box used to be one of the best burger places... Now it's a disappointment. Especially when it comes to allergy issues. I ordered the mother clucker fries to be gluten free, I've had this dish many times and gluten free has always been great. I was asked whether it was an allergy or intolerance and I explained coeliac disease, she didn't seem like she knew what it was (a bit concerning for a food place) but wrote it down. When my meal was brought over to me they said 'I know you asked for gluten free, but the sauce does have gluten in, is that ok?'. Of course it's not OK so I asked for it to be remade. It came back as basic fries with a bit of chicken and sour cream, the gluten free alternative was disappointing and not worth the £11. When someone came over and asked us if everything was OK, we highlighted the allergen issues and the fact the gluten free version was a let down. We had a response of 'oh ok' and nothing else was said or done. The bill came to full price and nothing else was said to us before we left. Not a great experience.

Great atmosphere, but disappointed in food and service. One of our orders was missed and then took along time to be brought out. At this time everyone had finished their food. We also ordered a bottle of wine to share at the start and that didn't appear until our food had been served and a few of us had finished eating. So not great. We did ask several times for this to be brought out and in the end we actually colled it from the bar ourselves. The kids meals were a good size but I ordered the most expensive chicken burger on the menu and it was as small as the child's burger with missing bacon and a tiny piece of chicken. After complaining we did mange to get the price of the missed burger off the bill but still a very expensive meal for the service and quality. Hope you have better luck if you're planning on eating here anytime soon.

Didn’t get as far as the food. Restaurant was a quarter full and the unused area looked like it had been cordoned off..great example of a place where they can’t get good management and employ people who don’t care or who would rather be anywhere else. Indifferent welcome, sit where you want then get ignored. Not a happy place. Waited 10 Minutes Only server wasn’t bothered so walked out. That probably didn’t bother the guy anyway. Real shame on a town where there’s a lot of choice. Could do with some management.

Really Really fancied a burger and could smell the beef wafting through the door so chose hear, we had the lunch menu the burger was fantastic so tasty and full off flavour and just enough chips, the milkshake was also nice, what let it down was the chicken wings, I love chicken wings have them almost everywhere we eat out but hear they wernt very nice at all the batter dropped right off and they were full off what tasted like grease soon as you took a bite it all just fell apart really didn't enjoy them but the rest was fab, service good also but seemed extremely quiet we where the second table in the hour and half we were there.

Absolutely amazing!!! A while ago I was disappointed that they removed my favourite burger (the big cheese) from the menu, but when we went back it had returned even better! Great for GF and veggie too.

I was one of a large group of 30-50 something year old ladies that visited last Saturday (6th April 2024) for a bottomless brunch for a friend’s birthday. The waiting staff, led by Alex and a lovely waitress (I didn’t get her name) were amazing - the drinks flowed seamlessly and they attended to our every need with great humour (we were quite demanding!), the food was really lovely and the atmosphere was perfect - better than we could have asked for. We were looked after like the princesses we all think we are. Thank you Hubbox Falmouth - the perfect day out. Highly recommend.

We popped to hubbox falmouth today, after my husband completed the half marathon. Luckily we got a table, but I would advise booking! Food was delicious and didn't take long to be served! I had the passionfruit cooler and it was SO good! We will be back!

Friendly service, great location

Food was good & tasty, but overpriced for the size portion. The service was VERY very slow. It took 32 minutes to get our drinks when there were only 4 tables in there the whole time we were there. Staff stood on their phone behind the bar whilst we were waiting!! They took ages to clear the table ready for pudding, I actually had to pull someone over and ask them for the children's pudding to come out, and they still didn't clear the table until the kids had nearly finished their pudding!! We have said we will not go again due to the service!

Lovely restaurant, small but quaint and tastefully designed, staff are nice and the food is well valued. Only critique is long waiting times on food and not being updated based on delays, apart from that I would recommend.

We enjoyed a decent family lunch at the Hub with a table overlooking the harbour. The children ate burgers, which looked nice if a little on the small side, while us adults went for the ribs and the nut roast. Both were tasty if lacking in accompanying vegetables or salad. Oddly though the bowl of chili fries was huge and too large to finish! Still our waiter was very attentive and everything arrived exactly as ordered. Judging by the other diners this is very much a family restaurant, rather than a gourmet experience, and from that perspective the Hub gets the job done.

Shame it has gone so down hill. Have eaten at the Hub for years in St Ives, Falmouth and Truro and now will not be going back. So many better, reasonably price burger establishments in the Falmouth, Truro area (BooKoos, Meat Counter). Food used to be great but now the Hub is trying to be something it is not. Prices are ridiculous. Having a member of the party with dietary requirements the kitchen staff and front of house were great. Clearly under staffed which never used to be the case. Hopefully the senior management will get their act together and make a difference making. Such a shame.

I went to The Hub on Monday 23rd October in the evening. I went with family. I was visiting Falmouth to see my nephew. My nephew likes it there and it was my first time visiting the hub. Absolutely Brilliant. I would recommend to anyone to go there. I will definitely be going there again when I am in Falmouth.

Burger ok. Pommes kalt und fade. Coleslaw so scharf, dass man es kaum essen konnte und alles lieblos auf das Tablett geklatscht. Eine Schüssel oder Teller wäre wohl das mindeste. Viel Personal, wenig Gäste, Zeit wäre also genug gewesen. Wir werden nicht mehr hingehen.

Not great at all , with so many good places to eat they need to be better . Shame hub box Truro is good .

Having eaten here quite a few times as we are local, our last visit was poor. Poor service and not so good meal. Struggled to get the attention of the staff, despite it only having about 20 people dining. The young guy was told that the steak was luke warm and chewy.. my guess is a cheap cut was used. On being told this he said he'll speak to someone and wandered away. He then kept going around tables so we had to get the attention of the young lady who did her job very well. The uneaten meal was taken away, but as I was over half way through my meal my wife declined to reorder another meal. So totally ruined the evening and I ended up rushing and not finishing mine as I felt awkward about this. On a plus side the BBQ chicken wings are superb.

I don't want to give less than a four because hospitality isn't easy at the moment.. As Hub lovers from the beginning we have been a little disappointed with our last 2 visits, last month to Truro - and this week to Falmouth. The menu change - will suit some people and not others. For ME Hub is all about burgers etc.. I missed a couple of things on the menu but opted for a chicken burger which I knew I've had and enjoyed previously - however this time it wasn't a nice succulent piece of chicken. And unfortunately where it was so thin, it meant it dried out on cooking. Two others I was with said there Hub burgers weren't a nice succulent big burger as usual either. It's a shame because you do want to continue to support local businesses but the last two Hub visits haven't left us dreaming of our next visit like Hub always has previously. Don't change Hub The staff were nice and very efficient and the whole place was clean and tidy.

Past 5* review of Hubbox was as follows but now amended, sadly. Great large table overlooking harbour. Fab vegan options and helpful waiting staff.*****this review if for the previous HUBBOX not Hub. Hub’s vegan offerings are much less impressive, with the Cauli burrito cooked w buttermilk for instance. A bit lacking in foresight.

First time at Hub Falmouth, there was a lovely atmosphere, delicious food, great service with a gorgeous view of the harbour. Me and my family were all very happy with the whole experience and would definitely eat here again.

went for bottomless brunch and im so disappointed! food was okay but the service was so so slow, considering there were literally 2 tables in the restaurant. for every drink we were flagging down a waiter for it, nobody checked up on us at all. also we were not explained the rules of the brunch at all. after only having 4 (very average) drinks in 1.5 hours i feel like we had wasted our money. would not recommend and sadly will not be returning.

We ordered for collection and food was ready about 20 mins after we ordered it for and they put cheese on the vegan burger so they couldn't eat it

The food is amazing! Drinks are gorgeous and some of them are on a 2 for £12 offer too. Definitely recommend for anyone, including families and kids etc., They're dog friendly too.

We went there on 2 occasions during our holiday. 1st was when they were still known as HubBox and the menu was more of a burger bar! A few days later they changed their branding to Hub Falmouth, there wasn't as many burgers but the food was still so delicious. Their cocktails are really great value and so delicious, th best is definitely mai thai! The service was great and so was the atmosphere. Would 100% return here! (The darker photos are from the first visit for dinner and the lighter photos were from the lunch we had there a few days later) The cabbage side dish was huge but so very tasty.

I thought the new menu was really disappointing, missing out on all the hub box classics and making it like every other restaurant in Falmouth ! Cocktails were lovely and the server ( I didn’t catch her name but she had long hair ) was fabulous and I loved her honesty , she deserves the world

came in and we were kindly greeted, got sat down pretty quickly and ordered our drinks. after then we got them and there was no sign of anyone coming over to us to take our food orders, we waited about 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order but no one did, ended up just asking them for the bill for the drinks and we left.

I went here last year and the food was excellent, so was looking forward to a return visit. Unfortunately the burgers were extremely salty which completely ruined the flavour. Really disappointed

It's a great place with a good selection of food. Service could be a little better, but nothing I felt would stop me going again, as the staff were really friendly.
