The best restaurants in Bath and North East Somerset South West

I travel quite a lot with work and like to look for independent accommodation outside of Premier Inn and Travelodge.. I stayed here last night and I found it to be a SUPERB place to eat and stay at ! Bed and Breakfast was £74 and I had a lovely 3 course meal for £32. Genuinely, I have not found a better restaurant and accommodation throughout the UK for a business trip. The rooms are clean, classy, comfortable and such good value. This, alone, would guarantee a great review but then I went downstairs to the pub for dinner. It was truly delicious and full of flavour. I learnt that all of the menu is freshly and home made by the friendly and very talented chef and each course was piping hot. As a starter, I had the mushroom with goats cheese and onion jam. Main course was pork shoulder, mash with veg and incredible gravy ! Dessert was apple & cider crumble with custard. This was a 10/10 dinner and couldn't be faulted. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming. I visited on a Tuesday night and it was fully booked. It is obviously very popular and appears to be a hidden gem. Thank you to all of the team and I hope to revisit here in the future - this is a great place to stay at for a visit to Bath !

Great traditional old school cafe 👌

Ordered pre-prepared Christmas dinners for our family this year and they were amazing! The food was prepared perfectly, very tasty and filling - a real property Christmas dinner - and they even included some crackers! Everything packaged up nicely with easy to follow instructions and the portion sizes were very generous. All we had to do was reheat and dish up. Saved us so much money and time - I can't recommend it enough! Thank you!

Pedimos comida para llevar para nuestra familia desde este lugar y la comida era muy sosa y en general no era bueno. El kebab estaba bueno, pero una porción tan pequeña. Nunca antes había visto un kebab tan pequeño. Los currys de cordero no sabían a cordero, lo que era extraño en un mal sentido. Los langostinos no habían sido correctamente desvenados y limpiados, lo que era poco atractivo. El naan de queso y ajo era muy soso y probablemente el peor que he probado. En general, toda mi familia y yo odiamos la comida y estábamos tan decepcionados. También somos una familia india que siempre está haciendo y pidiendo comida india y esto fue definitivamente una desgracia.

Got the Jamican chicken burger. Was bloody unreal. Guy serving was really nice would recommend. Trip down memory lane for myself couldn't recommend enough!

I was very lucky to stumble across this lil gem in the very heart of Bath. Super atmospheric and the choice of wine by glass is excellent! And thanks to lovely Anetta I ordered a baked camembert with honey and boy that was a perfect dish for a cold rainy lunch! Will be back and definitely recommend

Best pizza Ive eaten in UK, reminded me of pizzas I had in Italy, fantastico! My daughter had the vegan one with an aubergine cream based, unusual and so good! I've asked for a glass of dry wine and was able to sample 2 before choosing. The service was 10/10. The weather was great so we sat outside. We will definitely go back when next in Bath. Dont miss it!

After reading through some reviews we were hesitant to visit, however we came today for lunch with our 8month old daughter. We were welcomed at the door and promptly shown our seats the staff were fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful and polite. Drinks order was taken promptly and shortly after our food order. The food came out extremely quickly and it was perfect the staff came a few times to check if everything was ok and if we needed anything else, we would definitely visit again a lovely place to eat out.😀

The food is incredible, authentic & flavoursome! The interior is beautiful & the service was amazing - extra thank you to Shahid for making us feel welcome. Highly recommend, will definitely go back!!

A nice hotel in a very nice location, the staff were absolutely professional and friendly. The rooms are nice and spacious, my kids really enjoyed the pool area.

There's a reason it's busy here regularly and lots of good reviews. Have come here a lot and dragged friends and family here to try the sandwiches. I thoroughly recommend the chicken harissa Avocado sandwich or beef brisket sandwich. Absolutely amazing. The staff are always very warm and provide quick service. If you are thinking of grabbing lunch with a friend in Bath, this is a place to go!
