Lovely evening with a brilliant live pianist and exceptional service from Igli- so friendly and helpful.

We hosted our daughter’s 20th Birthday in the Roman Room at Square Grill, it was the perfect night. Kloi was wonderful to work with and ensured every detail was taken care of before we arrived. Amarildo looked after us during the evening, he was so professional, attentive and smiled the whole night. Finally, the food was tremendous - to me the sign of a good kitchen, especially with a large group, is the ability to get the order to the table at the same time and hot, the chef and his team executed this perfectly (we had different orders and dietary requirements from the platinum menu). Square Grill is an excellent, family run restaurant and our evening was perfect from start to finish. We look forward to dining there next time we are in Bath.

This is our favourite place to eat in Bath. Whether it's sitting outside enjoying the Bath Street Entertainment and the view of the Abbey and Baths or sitting inside, the atmosphere is wonderful. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and professional. We had lunch there and it was so good we went back for dinner before the theatre. In the evening our server was Igli, who was charming and efficient. And as an added bonus there was a live piano player. We are visiting Bath again this week and will be returning for dinner here again!

Today, I had an absolutely fantastic lunch at Square Grill Bath, enjoying their beautiful terrace under the sun. The combination of delicious food, great wine, and a relaxed atmosphere made it a truly memorable experience. We started with the fillet steak, cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The accompanying sauces and sides (the truffle fries were a standout!) complemented it wonderfully. The seabass was another highlight—crispy skin, flaky flesh, and served with fresh, vibrant accompaniments that elevated the dish. To drink, we chose a chilled rosé wine from France, which was light, refreshing, and paired beautifully with both dishes. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment. Dining on the terrace provided a lovely setting, with just the right mix of sunshine and shad and their floral terrace was just perfect to celebrate. Whether you're a local or visiting Bath, Square Grill is a must-visit for top-quality food and a fantastic dining experience. 5/5 stars – I’ll definitely be back!

Had the trout with rice (instead of pasta) and mashed potato as a side, very filling and highly recommend, also great that waiter was able to provide the gluten free option

We came in here for a big family celebration. We did a recce first of all and had a brilliant experience then. Yesterday we arrived for the main event. Amarildo and Abi were absolutely brilliant, very attentive and didn't rush us at any point. Our food and drink was delicious, we will be back again as soon as we can

Fantastic food; the steak was cooked to perfection and the Truffle Chips was to die for. Igli provided great recommendations and flawless service. We sat outside in the shadow of Bath Abbey, what a location! Expensive but worth it.

My 5 year old and I were served by the caring and attentive Sameena. Throughout the meal she checked on Ethan and was extremely kind to him. My son was here first for the live piano music, and even though we didn’t get it in the end, sameeena single handedly made our dinner experience in Bath memorable! Food was good too. We had tartare and burgers.

We stopped in for a drink after being around the Royal Bath. Very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. The cappucino and hot chocolate is lovely and reasonably price, sitting outside lets you watch the world go by and listen to the amazing buskers.

For my birthday everything was perfect in this restaurant including the kindness of the servers, the quality of the food and the the performance of the pianist.

Unexpected dinner location during a walk around. Staff was amazing and very flexible. Food was scrumptious and portions were great. A definite if you're looking for a relaxing dinner and a bit of pampering.

We held a formal dinner in the private room upstairs for 30 people. We had an amazing time, the food came quickly and was really tasty, service was efficient. We would definitely recommend holding a party at Square Grill.

Dined here for my birthday dinner and everything was perfect. We had the chicken & ham terrine along with crispy calamari to start (perfect textures and flavours), followed by the duck leg (super soft and flavourful) and the chicken schnitzel (a classic done right). Finished off with the chocolate lava cake and hazelnut mousse (HONESTLY obsessed with how indulgent it was). Igli’s friendly and attentive service made this a 10/10 experience.

Amazing Food & Lovely Staff! We had a fantastic dinner at Square in Bath! The food was delicious—especially the veggie burger, which tasted so real I had to ask if it was actually meat. Don’t miss the Absolutely Hazelnut dessert and the Crème Brûlée—both were unreal! The atmosphere was great, and the service was top-notch. Bethany was super friendly and attentive—she really made our night. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

We were on vacation in the UK, and took a trip to Bath. Stopped here for a bite, and we were greeted warmly and served a perfect meal. We may never get back here, but we will never forget it. Thank you!!!

We've eaten here many times as we're local, but this is the first time I've left a review. We've never been disappointed. There is enough choice on the menu for most tastes, including a reasonable amount of vegetarian options. Needless to say, we'll be back again.

We called in with no booking as we were in bath for weekend for my birthday, and we were lucky enough to get a table by the piano. We had a wonderful evening, food was amazing staff so friendly and helpful and the entertainment was brilliant. It was a brilliant 10/10 evening. Xx

We took a party of twelve for my husband’s birthday and it was just perfect! From the first contact Kloi was helpful and friendly. The food was delivered at the correct temperature, bang on time by very friendly and professional staff. It really exceeded our expectations. Good quantity of quality ingredients beautifully presented in a lovely atmosphere.All our guests ( one of who is a restaurateur) were impressed. Would not hesitate to recommend it for any occasion!! Just wish we were local as we would visit often. Thank you.

I visited square in Bath for a late morning breakfast/early afternoon brunch with my sister today. This was our first time trying here and we both came away throughly satisfied I opted for the full English Breakfast acompanied by a Latte and My sister had the Sausage muffin. The staff were very attentive and welcoming and I will definately be coming again as this was 1 of the best breakfasts I have had in quite sometime overall I would highly recomend to anyone visiting this beautiful city to try square.

From the moment we arrived, their manager Ronaldo greeted us with a smile and attended superbly to find the table we liked. The service after that continued to the same high standard and the food was exception. It was so good in fact, we went back the next day as well and again, it did not disappoint.

When planning a trip, typically we pick and plan all of our restaurants in advance. We decided to be spontaneous and tried Square Grill (without a reservation) & were thoroughly impressed! I got the braised beef & my friend got the braised beef tortellini. We started off with some calamari & a bread basket! Very tasty food, great service, & lovely piano player. If I ever return to Bath, this place will be a must!

We were here for a very special family celebration, with 10 participants. Great location. Everything at Square Grill was perfect. Food exceeded expectations, staff did us proud (headed by super- efficient Martha). We cannot recommend The Square Grill enough. They will take care of you.

The food was wonderful, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The dishes were delicious and satisfying, with perfectly sized portions. We enjoyed the beef burger and the steak, both of which were exceptionally tasty. The terrace offered a delightful atmosphere, entertained by lovely live street music. The view of the abbey is amazing. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, reminded us of Belgian life style☺️

I came here after I visited Bath Abbey and the prices were expensive but I ordered a burger & chips for 7 pounds meanwhile the other things were like 10-20 pounds. This is a really good restaurant overall so yeah pretty good.

What a lovely evening. Service was spot on. Initial drinks took a bit longer than expected, this could have been down to they were very busy, and they were cocktails. Cocktails were spot on. After that, the food and service were impeccable. Music was great. The pianist sang happy birthday and took requests of songs to play. Thank you to the waitress for making it such an enjoyable evening.

My girlfriend and I popped into The Square Grill House for a bit of breakfast. We were barely through the door before a friendly member of staff whisked us to a table, menus in hand, like they had been expecting us. The menu had a decent selection, and as my girlfriend is vegan, it was refreshing to see she was not relegated to the standard “grilled tomato on toast” situation. Food and drinks arrived promptly, and the hot chocolates. The breakfast itself was spot on, and the staff were so helpful it was almost suspicious. All in all, an excellent start to the day. We will definitely be back possibly just for another one of those hot chocolates.

We love this place. As in our tour to Bath, we just arrived at the Bath Abbey at 2:00PM and were looking to try some famous fish and chip. The young waiter guy was very nice. He said the fish and chip there was very big and very nice at Bath, so we only ordered 1 for 2 person. Service was fast and very attentive. Fish was fresh and chips were very crispy. Would definitely recommend for quick lunch in a day tour to Bath.

Had an amazing date night here with a bottle of red, whiskey and cocktails! All were amazing and the beef brisket was perfect! The staff were amazing and very observant which made you feel very cared for. Our server was Amarildo (hopefully spelt correct) and special thanks to the pianist Terry Franks. What a stellar meal. From the pork cheeks to the Lava cake, I couldn't fault a thing. Well-balanced, thoughtfully constructed dishes, elegant and soigné in their presentation but still delicious to eat. It's clear that the kitchen has put a lot of hard work into this menu. The service was outstanding and very knowledgable. I'd return to Bath just to come dine here again.

Today, I had the pleasure of indulging in afternoon tea at Square Grill Bar in Bath, and it was nothing short of delightful. The selection of finger sandwiches was fresh and varied, with the smoked salmon and cream fresh being a standout. The scones were perfectly baked—crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, served with a generous helping of clotted cream and strawberry jam. The sweet treats, including mini carrot cake and macarons, were beautifully presented and tasted divine. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure our teapots were never empty. A truly relaxing and elegant afternoon!
