Toggled between 4-5 stars and going 5, but only 4 on the food. We had soup, appetizer, and a main course. The food was good and high quality but the flavor of everything was a tad bland. Great customer service and respect . Nice presentation of everything and liked the establishment a lot.

Food was pretty good, and the atmosphere with the piano was great. Service was outstating with our waiter even helping us fillet the fish for a picky eater.

During our recent visit to Bath, we took our Thai freind for a traditional English Cream Tea. We placed an order for three cream teas and were pleased with the prompt delivery. However, we were disappointed to find that the scones were small, overcooked, and dry, with one of them resembling a ball in shape. We didn't want to make a scene in front of our Thai freind, so ate and left. Again staff were friendly, clean and good atmosphere. But left very disappointed.

Food was amazing, tiger prawns wow , riders cooked perfectly. All washed down with a bottle of cote du Rhone.

Lovely food but a little expensive for dinner. The set lunch menu looked very good value though. Large, heated outdoor seating area within sight of the Abbey. Efficient service too.

i went there with my girls for my birthday and it was incredible. i could not recommend more. all the staff and the boss was so lovely and accommodating. Pali served us and he was so sweet and kind and kept the wine glasses toped up at all time. All the staff were so kind so thank you as well to jakub, scarlett, amarildo, tirion and Igli for all making it an incredible visit.

We dined here in the summer and had a great time so rebooked for my father in law’s birthday. We were not acknowledged as we entered the restaurant initially, and when we were it was cold and not very friendly. The food was really hit and miss, some items like the desserts were very good. However, some of the main dishes were cold and tasted a bit bland. This was a shame because we had such a good experience here over the summer. To top it off, we felt it was quite expensive, and have had far better experiences at higher end restaurants recently for similar prices. We won’t be rushing back.

I visited late in the evening on the first day after arriving in Bath. The interior is such that it feels like a great restaurant to spend a precious Friday evening. The atmosphere is good too. All the staff were friendly. It must have been frustrating because we weren't good at English, but we tried our best to communicate and all the staff responded well. I liked everything from popular songs that I knew how to play the piano to music that set the mood. The meat was extremely delicious. The sauce was also delicious. but. There is plenty of food, so consider your order carefully. It's for two.. but if you're counting the quantity, I think it'll be enough for 3 people. If I come to Bath again, I will definitely visit again!

The cheesecake was amazing! Loved the ambience. Gintare was also very accommodating.

We ended up here by accident , as the restaurant we had booked wasn't open when it was supposed to be . Food was good, service prompt and friendly. Not busy at all, so able to get in and out in plenty of time and be very near most of the interesting attractions

Visited in late August with friends just before taking the Bath Ghost tour. Location was good for the tour, as it was right where the meeting point was. We told our server Igli that we only had 40 minutes to eat and get to the tour and he did everything he could to make sure it was super speedy! We really appreciated that! Food was yummy, drinks were great and service exceptional. Thank you!

It's a lovely restaurant with both inside and outside seating with a great view of the Roman Bath and Bath Abbey. We took full advantage of the latter and enjoyed a warm sunny day and the lively music and dance of the street. The service was prompt and the portion sizes were really good and the food tasty.

Been here several times, it’s got great views of the bath abby area with even better ambiance since there is always a live performer nearby playing some great tunes. One of the members of staff named Lucky is great with the service and i would definitely recommend you to come here

Simple but excellent lunch. Radek, our server, was professional and friendly. We had a slight undercook on one meal, but the manager just replaced the whole dish. Very good service all round. That’s the way to win repeat custom.

We had a hen party brunch at the square and it was brilliant, we hadn’t booked just turned up and tbey were so accommodating! Staff were amazing, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and was really fast. Our waiter called Lucky was amazing!!! Highly reccomend!!

Great location for a spot of breakfast in Bath. It provides a perfect view of the Abbey while you have a coffee. The wait staff were attentive but not pushy. The food we had was tasty and the vegetarian meal was nice. They make good standard coffee, but don't expect any specialty brews. It is a killer location when the sun is out and not too pricey.

Food was alright. We just don't really like the service. The waiter seemed not patient. It's unfortunately below standard.

Terrible food. Burger and Steak meal were both burnt on the outside which made the meat bitter. Service was not friendly either. Spent over £150 for very poor evening at this restaurant. Would not recommend.

Two weeks ago , I was on an escape trip to Bath. I had a random lunch here before I checked in my hotel and I kept going there for the rest of my stay. The view of the abbey is spectacular. The square in front of it is a whole world itself. The place is extremely nice and so welcoming. The food is so good , it makes you come back ! The staff is amazing ! They are doing their best , super attentive and nice and sweet and so charming ! I had the best time here , which I am very thankful for to the whole team ! Keep being so fantastic ! I went to this restaurant because I had visited the restaurant here 23 years ago with my family. For dinner, I had mussels and pork. The mussels were a little small💦The mashed potatoes that came with the pork were really delicious! ! It was a smooth and flavorful British mashed potato. We also had wine and beer. I chose a white wine to match the shellfish and it was excellent. It was a nice dinner in Bath. The atmosphere was nice and they provided a heater as it was cold. Unlike in the past, there were fences and roofs around the square, so it was a bit of a hindrance to seeing the temples and bathhouses💦💦 It seems like the owner has changed since then, but being able to visit the same place was a great memory. If anyone knows of a restaurant that was in this location around 2001, please let me know the name.

The pump room had power outage and had to find a new birthday brunch place last minute. It was a great choice and despite no one expected anything they even got us a little birthday surprise.

My wife and I enjoyed our meal here and lovely piano playing by Henry, and thank you Martha for the great service.

That's the place to go in Bath! The atmosphere is just very special! When the weather is nice, you dine outside on the main square in a separate area. You are right in the middle and still have some privacy. You have a view of the Abbey and the streams of tourists, hear the performances of the street artists (high quality!) and benefit from excellent cuisine and a nice selection of wines. What more do you want? Well, there are of course also aspects that could be criticized: The table decoration made of plastic succulents is really not a plus. The price level is high and not everyone will like the heaters on the terrace for energy saving reasons... And for tourists from the continent: tips are included! But don't forget to give the buskers a donation! ;-)

Tomato soup was served warm -? But they fixed it. Seafood linguine was disappointing as was the risotto, but they had a nice amarone by the glass, which is rare to find. Piano was very, very nice. Exceptionally attentive service.

A surprise find! We were on the look out for gluten friendly options and there were plenty. Friendly service and delicious food. Our waiter, Lucky, was very personable and looked after us well. Highly recommended!

Lovley server Gintare was absolutely amazing during our time here. She was constantly asking if everything was okay and if we wanted any more drinks. Best waitress ever!!

I recently hosted a private dinner at a the Square about a month ago, and I can’t say enough about how amazing it was! From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed. Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The menu was a showstopper. We started with smoked duck breast, which was incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. For the main course, the steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. And let’s not forget the crème brûlée! It was the perfect ending, with a perfectly caramelized top and a creamy, dreamy filling. Every dish was a hit, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lumi was fantastic—so attentive and accommodating. He made sure we had everything we needed while maintaining a friendly and relaxed vibe throughout the evening. It really added to the overall experience, making us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Overall, we had an incredible time, and our guests did too! The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere made for a truly memorable evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to host a special event!

The place is lovely and food is really good. The only really bad thing was that the waiter told me that there was no tip or service charge included in the price to pay and I proceeded to add a tip. When I read the ticket carefully back in my hotel I noticed it included the service charge/tip in the total amount due to pay. He took profit of the fact that we were tourists.

Great food and great atmosphere, musicians playing outside, the view of the Abbey is amazing, waiters are very nice, especially Laco!

We had the two course meal. The salmon starter was tasty but very small it could do with some bread or toast to make it better value. The ceaser salad was very good quality. However, we were the only diners inside and yet the drinks took an age to come - we had to ask where they were!. We were automatically given a service charge with no option to choose to pay or not so automatically the price offered on the board is not what you pay!! There are lots of other great places to eat in Bath - choose wisely!

We had an exceptional dining experience! The menu had a fantastic variety of dishes, and everything we tried was cooked to perfection. Our server, Reonaldo, made the experience even better—he was attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations that enhanced our meal. From start to finish, it was a delightful night, and I can't wait to return! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and live music.

Great service, all good but the salted caramel cheesecake was out of this world!

My husband and I popped in for breakfast this morning. I had the smoked Kipper which was so tasty. My husband had the cooked breakfast which he actually didn't manage to finish he was so full. We will be going back one evening to check out the dinner menu. Yummy. The service was also very good.

Food was good quality. The steak was tender and cooked to nice medium-rare. The asparagus had a nice, beefy flavor. I would not recommend the bread and oil as there was only one small white roll in the basket: the rest of the rolls had fruit in them and didn't go well with the oil and vinegar. Service was a bit spotty, but friendly.

Left without eating ir drinking as customer service was so rude it put us off wanting to spend any money here.

This restaurant was such a welcome find after paying for all the terrible food Bath has to offer. Steak cooked to perfection, delicious bread, and my husband’s slow braised beef tortellini (AMAZINNNG!) made for a lovely lunch stop. Definitely go here!

Lovely place and enjoyable Food, reasonable price.

We called in for cream tea and the scones were very nice. Only problem was the disabled toilet was downstairs and we were told there was no lift access. Not disabled friendly at all, we ended up having to go elsewhere to use the loo.

Expensive tourist trap. We sat down and despite the place being almost empty, it was slow to have our orders taken. Ordered a creme brulée that was curdled/split. Before we ordered we asked if they had decaf tea which the waitress confirmed they did so my mother ordered a cream tea including a decaf. Later she came back saying they do not have decaf, so we just had the scones. When the bill arrived they were trying to charge us almost £10 for the cream tea. We queried the bill stating we didn't have a hot drink but the manager met us with an unpleasant attitude saying that the cream tea included a hot drink. She eventually took the price of a hot drink off of the bill while acting like she was doing us a favour, even though we never had one. Yet still a service charge of over £4 was added. I was not in the mood for conflict so didn't ask to have that charge removed. The other drinks on the table were very nice but my glass was dirty. Don't like to leave bad reviews but need to warn people to just spend their money elsewhere.

Proper restaurant experience, atmosphere, service and food are all outstanding

We ate here on the first night of our holiday to Bath and what an amazing start! We were sat across from the bar, near the piano which was played by a lovely jazz pianist while we ate. The food was absolutely delicious with generous portion sizes and seasoned to perfection - highly recommend the striploin steak. In fact, the menu was so good it took me ages to choose what I wanted! The table next to us asked for more broccoli in their salad as they only had one piece which was resolved extremely efficiently by the manager. Lastly, I would like to mention our server Alice as she made our first evening special with attentive and friendly service, even recommending other places to visit in the city.

We came in later in the evening for dinner and the staff were really accommodating. Ralu was amazing!

Was really disappointed with the service. Our waiter barely said a word to us and just grunted at us. Made no effort to engage and did the bare minimum. The experience got worse from there. A service charge was applied automatically so we asked for to be removed. We were questioned as to why. What was wrong. This made for a truly negative and embarrassing situation in which I felt uncomfortable. I refused to justify my reasoning. The other waiting staff then questioned our waiter as to why the full bill wasnt settled quite audibly in our vicinity so we heard the whole exchange. The other staff then continued to discuss and stare at us at our table. We left with the staff staring at us and no one said good bye and left us to leave in silence. One of the WORST dining experiences I have ever had in my life.

Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating. Excellent location right outside the Roman Baths and the Abbey. The steak sandwich was perfectly done (medium rare). The minute steak was enjoyable but slightly overcooked.

Visited early for breakfast, so it was still very quiet, but I pass this place often, and it is often very busy. The food was well presented and lovely. We sat outside in a lovely area with views of the Roman baths and Abbey. Service was friendly and professional. It's definitely worth a visit ☺️

The food was great and very well presented, all in a very nice environment. The piano sound was very balanced, the player was fantastic (he reminded us of Elvis Costello) and at the same time not intrusive. Great service as well.

My favorite meal out of two weeks in Europe & the UK! Slow Braised Beef Tortellini and the Roasted Cauliflower (split that with my partner) were so good! I’m dreaming of going again someday! They were so cautious about my partners severe allergy, much appreciated! Service was phenomenal.

Needing but liquid refreshment on a v hot day, we were accommodated cheerfully by very helpful staff, even though it was the lunchtime rush. We were shown to an air conditioned table and allowed to relax. Great service 👏

Good sized terrasse, very nice waiters but how absurd is it that the kid ice cream (4 pounds) and the adult ice cream (6 pounds st) are the same size but not the same price. This should be changed on the menu. For me, that’s the little detail that give me the feeling of getting robbed. It’s a shame because the Ice cream and smoothies were good.

We ordered brunches. They were okay. Service was less than expected for this kind of restaurant. What we really did not apreciated is that we got charged 1£ extra that on our receipt. Unfortunately as the waiter was doing his first chit chating with us while paying we did not noticed immediately. It is not the pound..I can live with one pound less,it is just I cannot accept such dishonest pratices! I am quite sure they do it all day long to many customers.

Impromptu Sunday trip to bath, stumbled across this gem of a restaurant.! Oysters, salmon carpaccio. Followed by the best roast dinner. Copious amounts of wine!! Amazing atmosphere with one of the best buskers playing just over from the terrace!! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and especially Ross!! Very good at his job!! We will return.

Het grote terras en de centrale ligging trekken veel toeristen aan. Voor gastronomie moet je hier dus niet zijn. Wel voor correcte gerechten in een goed georganiseerde zaak. De tartaar van rode bietjes, de rundstartaar, de gegrilde zeebrasem: allemaal heel lekker. Ook de cocktails en de wijn waren ok. Niet goedkoop, maar aanvaardbare prijzen.

Excellent location ! Slightly pricey but the ambiance and the feel and hustle bustle makes it worth it! Delicious and Super presented ! Great Host !

Very tasty food, fast service and everything was well taken care of

The English breakfast was incredibly good, I was totally delighted by its crispy hash brown, slightly sweet beans, savoury sausages and pork rushers! Avocado benedictine eggs were delicious as well! Central location, in front of the Roman Baths. Kind, helpful and professional staff. Truly recommendable!

They allow dogs outside which was excellent. However they sat us at a table that was very unsteady and there were plenty of others free. The waiter also came out with the wrong coffee order initially. When the coffees did arrive they were great though. The food was fresh and well presented. The price has bumped it up to 4 stars because it makes up for the service, it’s very reasonably priced.

Visited last night around 6pm to celebrate a graduation. Sat in a lovely large booth and was immediately impressed with the level of service. It’s not cheap, but we really think you are getting good value here as everyone commented on the quality of all the food. The calamari, crispy prawns, lamb ribs and ham terrine were all delicious starters. For mains, two of us shared the Meat Feast…. I can honestly say it’s the best ‘mixed grill’ style sharing plate we have ever tasted. The red wine jus was incredible, the pepper sauce is lovely and the meat was cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion. So, thank you to the restaurant’s staff and keep up the good work.

Another very lovely meal at this restaurant in the very heart of Bath. Our evening was considerably enhanced by the music of the resident pianist and the cosy ambience. Great food, great service, great fun. They need to pay a bit of attention to their ladies toilets which let the side down.

Staff professional and courteous but friendly. Food was amazing and chilli removed from my ravioli as requested for me. Love to return.
