I visited this morning as a treat for my grand children for a drink and cake but was disappointed with the cake selection. This is a message for the chef or whoever makes the cakes. The gluten free raspberry cheesecake had 1 piece of raspberry only and the rest was gluten free pastry - not like cheesecake filling at all- sadly not enjoyed by my grandchildren. The display cabinet looked boring, no colour just heavy looking cakes and one huge cake covered completely in butter icing. How about a large strawberry flan or mixed berry flan especially during the summer. I didn't even see any scones- how about white chocolate and raspberry or blueberry. Some colour in the cabinet. The main meals looked so colorful with vine tomatoes and the young waiting staff were very attentive

Only wanted coffee, at the end of the afternoon...was taken to a table and given the drinks menu. Then the 2 waiting staff managed to ignore me and my gestures for 15 minutes so left.

Wonderful place to eat. Can be reached both by car and by bus; which stops at The Crown in Kelston. From there it is less than a 5-minute walk to The Bath Soft Cheese Farm. You can take several beautiful walks from The Bath Soft Cheese Farm. Last year we did the Riverside Walk, along the Avon - very beautiful and peaceful. This year we did the Kelston Roundhill walk, a more challenging walk with beautiful views. Are you coming with a large group? Book well in advance so that they can deliver everything you want to order.

Visited here with my sisters. Had a drink and a bite to eat before going for a walk. Lovely staff 👌

We have been here once before and the food was great but this time, the food was underwhelming, the coffee average and service was rushed and inhospitable.. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

There is a coffee shop and restaurant, attached to their own cheese shop. You can sit outside and watch the ducks and chickens and then walk a handful of 1-5 mile walks around the local area, which are signposted from here. You can walk down to the river and watch people SUP. Decent price, and the food is great. Nice place to spend an afternoon. If you're going during peak times, make reservations.

We had a lovely lunch here. Tables outside can't be booked, as we'd arrived earlyish we easily got a table. Varied range of lunch dishes on offer highlighting the amazing cheese they produce. We had a Ploughman's Board & the toastie of the day (cheese & pulled pork). Generous portions and we felt was good value for money. We'll certainly be back soon. All the cheese is available to buy too what's not to love ... CHEESE...

Wow what a Feast We had an afternoon tea here as a birthday celebration. We were met by Matt, the owner, who was charming and escorted us to our table. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our food to arrive and then two tier cake stands were brought to the table. One was full of savoury delicacies and the other cakes and scones. Being the Bath Soft Cheese cafe the savoury items majored on a cheese theme and were fantastic. The sweet offerings were great too. The only comment I have to make is the flavour of the sough dough bread was a bit overwhelming in the sandwiches. The ambiance in the cafe wasn't special as it was mostly concrete and quite noisy, but as we arrived at 3 p.m. most people were leaving and we were the only ones in the cafe by the end. There was so much food we had to ask for 2 doggie bags. I would thoroughly recommend this for a treat but don't have lunch beforehand! The crew was working very hard cleaning and serving and the whole place was very neat and tidy. Thanks Matt and all the team for a lovely treat, we will be back.

Lovely brunch location, kid friendly with a nice play area. They have a few chickens and ducks and a horse to pet.

The staff were super accommodating for dogs and the service was very fast. We sat in the garden sheds which were comfy and in the shade. The food was quite expensive as the poached eggs wasn't runny and the bacon was too burnt. There was a lovely walk in the local area.

Went on the cheese tour. Fascinating process, and a great sneak peek into the making of the different cheeses the company produces. I learnt a lot about the dairy and cheese making. Pad was extremely knowledgeable and was happy to answer all questions with good humour (just don't ask him about adding fruit to cheese!). Matt was a great host from initial booking to the end, very friendly and welcoming, and went above and beyond to resolve an issue I had after returning home. Thoroughly enjoyed the cheese tasting, and the lunch included with the tour was delicious with plenty of choice. The tour gave a discount on cheese purchases afterwards. Definitely recommend a visit, even if just for food and to buy cheese. (They also have an online shop).

Busy as school holidays. We were able to book a table. Great for all age groups. Lunch very tasty,catering well even for our 9 month Grandson.

We ordered our Celebration 'Round Hill' Cheese Cake from The Bath Soft Cheese company for our wedding in London earlier this month and it was incredible! The communication whilst ordering was brilliant and the cheese arrived exactly when we asked it to and was well packaged. On the day the cheese was an absolute hit and the guests loved it - it was delicious! Thank you Daniel and team!

Lovely lunch .....could do with a fly catcher near window also we had to ask for the dead flowers to be removed as the water was smelly.

We went to their supper club, great food, friendly service. Food was delicious, very generous portions, we struggled our way to desert but it was so worth it! The wine pairings in the wine flight were spot on. We left full and happy what else can one say!

Lovely farm and cafe with delicious food made from their own farm or locally. Very reasonably priced. Set near the Kelston and Roundhill Loop so worth a visit when walking that. I'll be coming again and again

Amazing quality food, friendly prompt service, and the farm is very charming (I loved the chickens!) The milkshakes are a must-have.

My daughter bought me a Father's Day Hamper from here which was delivered on 14 June. The Blue Cheese was really good but the other cheese weren't all that brilliant. There were other items in the box including 'Blue Cheese Straws'. We eagerly opened them but they were soft and a bit musty smelling. They were inedible and we threw them away. I have emailed the sales team at Park Farm three times over three weeks and have never had any reply. In this internet world this type of customer service is awful, They clearly don't care that a customer was unhappy. I would never buy anything from these people and urge anyone to think what will happen if you are unhappy. Shockingly bad. I have tried to politely engage with them but they just ignore me. They should do better and as I said to them...'you have to take the rough with the smooth' and sort out problems. I gave them two stars because the Blue Cheese was nice and some other items were ok.

Popped in for a bit of late lunch and wow, the cheese they produce is delicious! Toasties, tarts and cream tea scones were demolished in no time. The shop has it all for sale so you can take it home, along with a fresh milk dispenser outside. (So don’t forget to take a 1 litre bottle or buy one there for a pound, because the fresh milk is also really good). We came here once before just after covid and were really looking forward to going back and it didn’t disappoint! Yum.

Make reservations if you're going for lunch as they are busy and have limited hours. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. We went for breakfast. The sourdough toast was my favorite. Everything is made in house. There is a playground and farm exploration for kids. Highly recommend.

Dropped into here whilst waiting for my dog to be groomed. What an absolute peach this.place is ! I always report on dog friendly places and although they don't allow dogs in the cafe there is plenty of outside eating space and there are unique little 'beach huts' that would be good to use on poor weather days. The menu is lovely obviously based on cheeze as you would expect. My friend and I had tart of the day which was wonderful served with salad and coleslaw and hummus. The tea was in pots with china cups. There is a shop that sells cheese and I was allowed a taste of their blue cheese. This not so little gem has a children's play park and beautiful walks in the surrounding country side. I thoroughly recommend this place. Staff were attentive and prompt.

We booked a cheese cake from Bath Soft Cheese for our wedding and would definitely recommend using them for future events. The communication with the team ahead of the big day was really good. The cheese was absolutely delicious and it looked really impressive dressed with grapes and flowers.

I think this place could be brilliant. Food was delicious but unfortunately during our visit it seemed to be lacking atmosphere. I also think we may have been more favoured and looked after had we made a booking in advance.

It is a perfect place to have a weekend brunch esp when weather is nice. The food looks pretty and tastes even better.

The supper club was absolutely incredible, Matt and the whole team were excellent hosts and the food was some of the best I have ever had. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for future events.

We always love to go to Bath Soft cheese café. Food is absolutely divine, however the coffees are always disappointing. Luke warm, full of bubbles. Last time I've tried chai. Disappointing. Service is great, not too pushy but still personal.

We travelled 3 hours from Chichester ( and 3 hours back) to visit the cheese factory followed by cheese tasting and lunch. Absolutely delightful place, very welcoming and very well run. A pleasure to support such amazing "family" business surrounding by highly motivational and passionate staff. The tour was very informative (manager was very passionate, with a very nice sense of humour and not rushing the tour, ) the tasting very nice and the lunch delicious ( again the restaurant manager was equally charming, addressing all our needs and nothing was too much. An experience to be repeated and that we highly recommend. ( even the cows and calves were gorgeous !!)

We had a brilliant day out at the farm open day on June 9th. My grandson was so excited about seeing all the farm machinery particularly the Combine Harvester.Ideal for all Tractor Ted fans. Great music, picnic bags, tractor and donkey rides so much to see and do. 5 star day thanks

Came here for the open farm day. Plenty to do for kids. Lots of lovely new calves to see and tractors to (queue for and) ride. Other animals to see as well. Lots of tasters for adults!

Delicious lunch with amazing toasties (our daughter loved the cucumber and our son the apple!). Absolutely delightful service from Immy - thank you, we will be back.

This is a review of Bath Soft Cheese as an outside event caterer for my daughter's wedding reception which was held in a nearby barn in May 2024. The organisation for the event was a breeze, we had discussions with Camilla, Georgia and chef Phil. We sampled some of the canapes about 3 months before the wedding and communication was great in the run up to the big day which included a meeting and walk through at the venue about a month beforehand. The pricing was in line with other caterers we had contacted. However compared to weddings we had attended in recent years, the quality and appropriate quantity of the food was outstanding. We had overheard many compliments about meal as well as receiving many direct praises from our guests. The timing of the food service was superb too, chef even checked to ensure that the planned proposed seating time did not need to be altered. At the evening do we were presented with what was simply an amazing grazing table. Full of their own cheeses, cured meats, fruits, vegetables and dips. It was a real showstopper. We cannot recommend Bath Soft Cheese enough based on this event. It certainly made our special day that much more memorable. It was superb!

Recently visited and the food was fantastic, the service was bang on and the environment was just right. Lots of dogs but outside but that’s because its a good dog walking area.

One of my favourite places literally ever. Amazing if you love cheese. The charcuterie was amazing and at a reasonable price. It filled the two of us up pretty well so we went on a walk around the shop and saw many different animals. Amazing walk if the weather is nice and sunny. There’s a viewing area where you can watch cows getting milked but at the time we went, they were all outside. Definitely definitely will go again. And incredibly easy to get there from Bath - around a 20 minute bus door to door.

Lovely place and beautiful surroundings, however as they refuse to take cash any more we left empty handed ,Its such a shame really as I feel people should have the choice to pay with cash or card.

I ordered the blue cheese and bacon toasties for lunch today. I had never tried blue cheese before. My colleague told me it was a kind of blue mould inside the cheese! but it tasted excellent!

Helpful staff great atmosphere.

Perfect little farm cafe if you have kids to entertain. There is a playground and lots of animals to see. We went there for brunch , really enjoyed the pain au chocolat, but was a bit disappointed with the croque monsieur, which was a bit dry. Food took a bit long to come out. Others seem to have enjoyed their meals.

Lovely find. Only had a drink, but the menu looked fantastic and innovative. Nice little wooden play area for toddlers, chickens and if you go at the right time you can go to a viewing platform and watch the cows being milked.

Great place and great food, it was packed on the hottest day so far this year.

We came upon this place by accident and will definitely be back. Working dairy farm with delicious food using the products. It was very hard to choose from the menu, but in the end I had a ploughman's with 2 of their own cheeses, pickles and chunky milk bread, and my dad had a pulled pork and cheese brioche with side (my mum had a very nice soup as she doesn't eat cheese :D). We sat in a little beach hut outside as we had dogs with us, and that was fine. The cafe inside looked lovely. They have a little shop with various delights on sale, including wine. And they signpost to several circular walks nearby if varying lengths, so if the rain ever stops we'll do that next time!

It was amazing food and the staff were so helpful and kind, couldn’t fault their customer service at all. Highly recommend.

Beautiful outing with the family, Plenty to keep little ones busy with play area and viewing areas for milking and cheese making. Food was wonderful and we were disappointed that we needed to leave so soon due to other plans or could have stayed much longer. Really amazing place and will be returning.

Beautiful place great service, often pop in just for coffee

The food was ok. The pork and apple sauce bap tasted very cheesy. Service from waitresses was very poor. Each time they came to our table, it was like they couldn't get away any quicker. So we had to call them back to ask for things like condiments and extra cutlery for our children. And then I noticed that there was a service charge automatically added to our bill. Very presumptuous. Would have preferred to be asked to add this on and for it to be a rewarded for good service. Having it added on I feel controbut d to staff feeling complacent with the service they gave. No check back. Few smiles. Let down the venue in my eyes. Came here to enjoy some time with the family and friends, but left this venue feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Great for a tiny place. A quaint cafe, private huts to enjoy a coffee, even on a rainy day. There's a small children's park as well as viewing windows to watch the cheese making and cows.

Great place to visit with children. The play area needs some tlc. Could be moved to a bigger area, and the small pebbles/stones under the play equipment do not feel very safe.

Good breakfast and lunchtime menus.

Enjoyed a lovely cream tea here, and the scones were still warm! Also brilliant if you have a dog lots of walks around.

Visited 16/3 - drinks took ages to come and coffee not amazing ! Croque Monsiuer was tasty but food took a long time to come, although it was busy Service not great - no check backs, no offer of second drinks and forgot the tap water we asked for - had to keep getting up to order things and ask to pay the bill Cakes were the biggest let down unfortunately - victoria sponge very dry, brownie was more of a sponge cake - dry and not flavourful - disappointing.

We visited for the cheese tour and had lunch afterwards. Highly recommended!

We were on the tour of the cheese making - absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended. The tour was interesting, I formative and showed a completely new aspect of cheese that I'd never known before. The staff of very knowledgeable and very friendly. Food's not bad either.

Lovely cafe for food before /after walks, food was really excellent. We had a Wyfe of Bath tea (cheese scone, chutney, cheese and drink) which was perfect. Service patchy, of outside (we had dogs with us) still table service which is no bad thing but we struggled to get someone's attention to get menus / order. Was still a great visit and will definitely return.

Gorgeously thought out, well presented and dog friendly. Food is delicious and fairly priced, and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Obviously the cheese is exceptional.

We had a really tasty lunch after a lovely circular walk in the surroundings. Super kid friendly - our toddler really enjoys the milking viewing mezzanine and the well thought out playground. Coffee is very good! Would recommend for a day out.

Nice setting on the edge of Bath. Plenty of walks around the site. Parking is excellent. Animals around the place entertain the small visitors. Book a table to be sure of a place on the busy weekends.

Dog friendly huts, affordable and great quality food. Lovely service.

Had a full English breakfast. Was expecting better if I'm honest after reading the reviews. However, the hash brown wasn't crispy but soft. The beans looked knackered. Sausage was OK, ask for over easy fried egg and wasn't. Expensive for the quality :-(

Great coffee shop and food. Lots of walkers stopping by and families catching up. We love it hete and enjoy a soup and Wyfe of Bath toastie.. cakes are fab too! Well worth a visit, especially with children. However book online first as it can get madly busy inside . There are also hut type shelters if it's nice enough weather. Xx

Great location and great vibe. The toasties were super and the cream tea too. Highly recommend for a stroll in the area and stopping by afterwards. Also a great play area for kids.

Visited to do a factory tour which was really interesting and gave a great insight into how the different cheeses are made and also how the business has developed. Followed this by a cheese tasting and lunch in the cafe which were both excellent. Good choice of food and excellent service. Highly recommend a visit

Great menu making it difficult to choose what to have. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals in a lovely setting with great service.

Really attentive fast service ftom Matt and Molly on a cold and busy day ensured my elderly mum had a wonderful experience after a long illness. Thank you everyone; the food was nourishing and delicious!

Always so disappointed that dogs are not allowed anywhere in side. We go every year for a nice walk around the well maintained footpaths with plenty of dog bins and toilets along the way but can never end in the cafe. They do a great job with the footpaths and are dog friendly until that point. On our first visit many years ago they allowed dogs upstairs, the food and drink was great, but now they can’t go anywhere inside not even far away from any food. It’s a real juxtaposition between their walk provision and their attitude in the cafe/shop. Would love to eat there but don’t want to sit outside in winter. Their truck and huts just feel like dog owners are unwelcome and are derogated to a mobile takeaway van, cold and wet outdoor seating with no table service and they try and make us feel better by putting some cute huts up. Would definitely go more if dog friendly. Couldn’t even pop in the shop for cheese without tying the dog outside which I hate to do. It’s also quite surprising given how dog friendly Bath is yet Bath Soft Cheese aren’t. Come on guys, you should allow dogs. Most places with similar set ups in Bath do so it’s not a question of licensing and food contamination it’s just an all round bad decision.

Alway nice to visit we alway book a table so not to be disappointed. We order our food mincemeat cake for him and bacon roll very enjoyable. We also order our cheese for Christmas as it a must .

A lovely visit! We went on a saturday and wasn't too busy. We pre-booked a table for 2 the same day and absolutely loved the fresh, locally sourced lunch. The cheese is fantastic. There is a small shop located in the cafe. The parking is free and has a small outdoor play area for kids. There is a viewing area to see the cows being milked. They have a few walks around the area which I have included in the photos. A great little trip for anyone wanting a bite to eat and a walk, with good quality food at a reasonable price. Would happily come back!

Came here for a milkshake and it was wonderful, I was served by a lovely young lady with pink hair and she was very smiley and sweet, very good customer service. Look forward to coming back here! Update: I am now engaged to the pink haired girl. Great stuff. 👍

Visited the shop today. Great service, with the chap spending plenty of time with us to create two special cheese box gifts. We’ve eaten in the cafe previously and the food/drinks/servings were first class.

Visited for the 5th time last week. Great brunch menu, friendly staff and a lovely setting on a working Dairy Farm. Well worth a visit with plenty of walks nearby. if you haven't been you should put this to the top of your list! Keep up the good works Guys!

Sipping good coffee outside within sight and smell of the cows then taking home excellent cheese made from their milk. Perfect way to spend a few hours.

Arrived just before the breakfast menu was due to end. I knew what I wanted but was told that it’s no longer on the menu ( new chef). Lady offered me a menu, I decided what I’d like, waited for her to take my order. She arrived to NOT take my order as apparently I now couldn’t order until 12pm. That would have been good to know before I got the menu. All I wanted was a nice sit down in the sun with my dog with a tea and toasty. Either was my morning now ruined I went home for cereal.
