The best restaurants in Bath and North East Somerset South West

No booking but welcomed as soon as we came in. They found a table for us and the food was hearty and tasty. Attentive but not overbearing service. Highly recommend.

Tuvimos el menú degustación y un té de la tarde durante nuestra estancia de 2 noches en el hotel. En general una muy buena experiencia, aunque el servicio fue golpeado y perdido. Esperamos 45 minutos a que llegaran nuestros canapés desde el momento en que nos sentamos. Tampoco sentí que el costo del vuelo de vino a £ 80 por persona estaba justificado - por £ 160 podríamos haber obtenido una excelente botella de vino del menú. También se aplica el cargo por servicio a todo lo que añade un poco al costo ya bastante alto. El té de la tarde era muy bueno, la comida era deliciosa y tuvimos que llevar nuestras sobras de nuevo a la habitación, ya que no pudimos terminar todo. El personal del bar era excelente y hacía deliciosos cócteles.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea here. The service and food were excellent. A lovely experience and would highly recommend. I particularly liked that you could order more sandwiches and also have a different hot drink if you didn't want tea (I chose hot chocolate which was delicious). The varieties of tea were extensive. We had never tried Bath Buns before and really enjoyed them - warm, soft & sugary. Good selection of sandwich fillings and very flexible on combinations. Beautiful selection of different cakes. Vegetarians catered for.

I loved my stay at this hotel, but they double-charged me on checkout (despite me paying in advance) and nearly a month later they have yet to refund me over £1000 despite multiple assurances that they would do so. Everything about the stay itself was wonderful but this experience has turned what was meant to be a relaxing reset into something quite stressful.

Paid a £50 deposit on 6th March, to take my partner for an anniversary dinner on 28th, only to be advised via an email sent on 13th March that the restaurant will be temporarily closed. Having requested a refund several times, and lack of response or refund I am going to have to report to my bank for fraudulent activity. I have just seen multiple reviews and it appears I am not the only one. Terrible. Will also be advising the Michelin Guide to ask for this business to be removed from their listing.

Really great little cafe. The staff are incredibly friendly and the terrace is absolutely lovely in the sun!

This place is great! My partner and I enjoyed a sweet treat today at Ben's cookies and I have to say I was unusually surprised - I'm not an overly sweet fan and do not like sickly sweet treats but the cookies here were perfection. Not squint your eyes sweet at all but beautifully balanced! We tri d the chocolate orange and biscoff one today and might pop in again tomorrow if we pass by! Highly recommend

I travel quite a lot with work and like to look for independent accommodation outside of Premier Inn and Travelodge.. I stayed here last night and I found it to be a SUPERB place to eat and stay at ! Bed and Breakfast was £74 and I had a lovely 3 course meal for £32. Genuinely, I have not found a better restaurant and accommodation throughout the UK for a business trip. The rooms are clean, classy, comfortable and such good value. This, alone, would guarantee a great review but then I went downstairs to the pub for dinner. It was truly delicious and full of flavour. I learnt that all of the menu is freshly and home made by the friendly and very talented chef and each course was piping hot. As a starter, I had the mushroom with goats cheese and onion jam. Main course was pork shoulder, mash with veg and incredible gravy ! Dessert was apple & cider crumble with custard. This was a 10/10 dinner and couldn't be faulted. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming. I visited on a Tuesday night and it was fully booked. It is obviously very popular and appears to be a hidden gem. Thank you to all of the team and I hope to revisit here in the future - this is a great place to stay at for a visit to Bath !
