A great hotel in a fantastic location for visiting Bath

Not worth the money and food safety is obviously not a priority as we saw staff touching their phone and face before preparing the food with the same gloves.

A nicer, posher than usual Nandos interestingly built into the railway underpass. Can be less busy as it's a bit easy to miss.

Lots of choice for fresh meat, cheeses and homemade bakes. My partner bought a huge pork pie and said it was delicious, I had a scotch egg and it was amazing. Picked up some cute cards and elderflower fizz.

Cocktails are delicious and staff friendly and attentive

We recently stayed at the Royal Hotel in Bath on an excellent deal and enjoyed our stay very much. All the staff from reception, bar staff and Brasserie staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely with some extra little touches, including ground coffee. The food was excellent so thanks to all the kitchen staff also. Our stay was from 26th to the 28th March. Special thanks to the female receptionist on check in and the male receptionist on departure. Highly recommend this hotel.

The last few times we’ve been the place has been very dirty and chaotic. Unfortunately today there were so many flies, lots of empty cups and dirty plates piling up. Food on the floor and first surface. The coffee is still great but take away option is the likely what we’ll stick to.

Fantastic restaurant- I know people who have been coming here for decades due to its consistent good quality food and exemplary service. Would recommend the biryanis and dhansak.

We just spent a wonderful mother’s day lunch and afternoon at the Wheelwrights. Very good food, good beer, prosecco and kids had delicious apple raspberry juices. Best chicken pie i have ever had. Had desserts outside in the sunshine, couldn’t have been better. Very friendly and knowledgable staff, recommended a good walk, looking forward to coming back soon.

Stopped for lunch. Very pleasant garden, dog friendly and food was very good. A slight misunderstanding over a pastrami sandwich was promptly and pleasantly resolved! Thank you, we will come again.

food was OK! but expensive. over £6 for a pint of Guinness!! . No wonder there was no one in

Muy, muy Decepcionante y muy insatisfecha Soy una madre soltera y me llevé a mis tres hijos para un placer, ya que sobresalieron en los informes escolares! Estábamos muy decepcionados de que la comida no era fresca no había señales de cocina fresca o parecía demasiado caliente en el microondas la comida salió tan rápido y nuestra comida se arruinó por la rapidez que estaba todo preparado tuve un mal estómago al día siguiente! Reservé una mesa para las 6 de la tarde y estaba fuera a las 7 de la tarde, a pesar de que teníamos entrantes y tubería! Le dije al camarero que no estaba satisfecho y me sentí apresurado a lo que me respondió que era bueno que debería habernos dicho que bajáramos la velocidad! También tomaron mi comida antes de que terminara de comer y la pusieron en contenedores para llevar, ¡este es el peor restaurante en el que he estado!

I visited this Indian restaurant based on its Google reviews, but my experience was nothing like what I expected. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was dull and unimpressive. The service was beyond terrible—slow, inattentive, and unprofessional. The food itself was of very poor quality, lacked authentic flavor, and was simply not enjoyable. But the worst part was the hygiene—or lack thereof. A trip to the restroom revealed just how poorly maintained the entire place is. The cleanliness of the kitchen was also highly questionable, making me wonder how this restaurant is even still operating. We visited with kids, and by nighttime, everyone had stomach aches, which is deeply concerning. On top of everything, the prices were outrageously high for what was essentially a low-standard dining experience. You might be able to overlook bad service or overpriced food, but when it comes to hygiene and health, it’s non-negotiable. If you care about your well-being, avoid this place at all costs!
