Premier Inn Bath City Centre hotel in Bath and North East Somerset

Shabby. Paint falling off skirtings and around windows, trip hazard frayed carpet at entrance to bathroom, dirty walls, broken ceiling tiles, and the fire door in the corridor, the one with the please be quiet sign, slammed shut every time it was used, so we we kept awake until the last person came in for the night, and then awoken when the first person went out in the morning. Don't have decaf tea, and only offer instant decaf coffee with breakfast. Suggest use Wetherspoons, next door, for decent drinks, but it looks like Premier block the 'spoons app on their WiFi too.

Dirty, run down and poor communication. Early check in to allow our toddler a nap but unable to due to the state of the room. Came back 2 hours later and still not cleaned and manager unaware. No more premier inn for us after this one. Supposed upgraded Premier plus room @ £114 a night.

City centre location. Decent place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean, staff are helpful and the city centre is on the doorstep. Recommended parking is a 6 min walk away.

Terrible experience – do not stay here! I stayed at this hotel for one night, and that was more than enough. The place was dirty and nothing like the photos online – those are clearly outdated or heavily edited. The room was unclean, with dust everywhere and stained bed sheets. The bathroom was disgusting, with mold in the shower, a bad smell, and old, rough towels. We had an issue with the heating – the warm air conditioning wasn’t working, and it was freezing in the room. We called the receptionist three times before anyone showed up. Each time we were told, “15-20 minutes,” but no one came until our third call. Completely unacceptable. There was no receptionist at the front desk at any point – every interaction required calling someone who clearly didn’t care about helping guests. Zero professionalism. The walls were paper-thin, so you could hear everything from the rooms next door. The air conditioning unit made a loud, constant noise all night, and the mattress was old and extremely uncomfortable. Overall, the place felt neglected and poorly managed. Definitely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs.

Fine did the job. The bed was comfy but the rest was old and musty. Staff were very helpful and polite. Didn’t feel like value for money as quite expensive for a rundown crusty room

Expensive considering they advertise 50 quid a night me and the mrs one night 170 quid

The hotel stay in bath was extremely disappointing. The room and the entire way (elevator area and corridors) were all smelly. Service at night time was sub par. However the location was prime area and attractions are at a walkable. Distance

Often stay here as the rooms are comfortable and clean. Have been checked in several times at reception by a fantastic team member called Beth. Always happy,helpful and informative. Give this lady a payrise 😀

Great location in the centre of Bath, very reasonably priced for a mid-week stay, and a great selection for breakfast - fantastic value!

No on site parking but pretty standard for cities. Nice hotel, friendly staff and does the job. If you haven’t been in a premier inn for years they have scrapped their daily room cleans and now have to request them just FYI.

A great place to stay if you want a convenient stay if you are visiting Bath, it's just a short distance from the town and the train station

Location is bit on the outskirts of the town centre. Accommodation is good especially family rooms. Paid parking just opposite with overnight fee, just make sure your car is moved out the parking area by 8am because the app doesn’t allow you to extend (at the time of writing).

Not the nicest place to stay, but clean. Restaurant food there was horrible. Wouldn't recommend eating there.

Very good location, only a 5 minute walk to the busy city centre and shopping arcades. No one on reception when I arrived which ment I was stood for 15 mins and never saw anyone.

Typical Premier Inn with just what you'd expect in the room ie clean, comfortable bed, choice of pillows, towels, shampoo/shower gel, soap, hairdryer and tea/coffee tray and kettle. Desk space and chair enabling you to work if needed. This hotel is situated just past Bath College on the left. Restaurant next door to the left and Weather spoons to the right and Cafe Nero directly opposite. Odeon cinema closeby but this is expensive. Five minute walk to town centre and local areas of interest ie Cathedral and Roman Baths. Train station 5 minutes walk. Lots of eateries, pubs and shops nearby. Breakfast is served at the adjoining restaurant. Very busy during peak period ie 9am. Payable parking nearby. Southgate parking is secure and you can stay overnight paying on exit.

Room was ok, but the bathroom was in need of refurbishment and decorating. Staff were friendly and efficient. Location was central Bath which was fine but be aware that it is on a main road with a pub next door. The bed was excellent.

Excellent location in Bath, really central, with good access to the main shopping areas and close to the roman baths. We stayed in a Premier room, which was worth the extra money for the space we gained. Bathroom was lovely and spacious with really nice toiletries. The desk in the room and the lovely chair and footstool were very much appreciated after a day spent walking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of food and plenty of choices if you didn't want a full English breakfast as well.

Slow internet 1mbit/s. You need to pay 5£/day if you want faster speed. No free coffee like in Edinburgh. I would not come back.

Unfortunately the Inn requires a complete refurbishment. All the staff very pleasant and helpful.
