Coffee#1 Keynsham in Bath and North East Somerset

The last few times we’ve been the place has been very dirty and chaotic. Unfortunately today there were so many flies, lots of empty cups and dirty plates piling up. Food on the floor and first surface. The coffee is still great but take away option is the likely what we’ll stick to.

Excellent staff, good food, great coffee.

Lovely local cafe but the toilets are really disgusting. Normally not as bad as today but never how they should be. Perhaps put a rota up, tick it every hour.. or more as there is only one for the whole cafe.

Awful customer service. Stood waiting for 3 members of staff to finish talking who completely blanked me. Customers waiting for their coffee getting frustrated because staff making the drinks was chatting and super slow paying attention to what they were doing. Person at the till completely blanked me, I was the only person in the queue, and I waited about several minutes before leaving as there was zero acknowledgement or communication to say 'we'll be with you in a minute'. Doesn't take much. Train your staff in better customer service please.

Had great service, despite them being very short staff. Teacake was very flat and hard !!!

Nice to sit down in such a nice place to watch the world go by while enjoying a nice cup of coffee in the warm and comfortable surroundings.

Floor boards in need of a deep deep clean as black in the grooves due to dirt dust & grime- sandwich lovely tho! Food covered the floor where not swept & so altho very nice sandwich floor extremely unhygienic xx

You need to hire more staff. It's ridiculous to expect one person to cover a busy morning shift.

Fairly standard café, tea in a pot so better than Costa (who just give you a cup). Nice atmosphere and dog friendly. Only had a flapjack and that was nice and tasty.

We ordered 2 flat white coffees, 2 cheese and ham toasties and a slice of apricot and raspberry tart. The dishwasher was broken so the coffees came in paper cups which is fine, the toasties came in a paper bag with no offering of even a wooden knife or fork but tasted great but were difficult to eat. Coffees tasted good. Tart was stale and tasteless.

Tables all needed cleaning busy not enough staff.

Friendly staff, welcome atmosphere and food / drink options are great. My only criticism was that there is only one toilet for a large cafe and it was in need of a serious deep clean when I had to use it.

This particular venue, unlike alot of the the Coffee#1 franchises was well lit and not gloomy inside. Spacious but not overly so with the typical devour. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was clean throughout. I had the Christmas Cappuccino which had egg nog in which was delicious.

Good range of seating and range of products. Sometimes can be a queue and the batistas are not always as quick as some other coffee#1s but quality is always great.

It is my favorite coffee in Keynsham! Nice environment, in the summer it gets nice warm and light inside. Their Matcha latte is incredible, and they have great, fresh and beautiful deserts.

It's Easter weekend, and it was busy some fab cakes and coffee plus other light snacks are available.

A coffee shop what can go wrong

Don’t order on Uber eats. They take over an hour to deliver. Coffee turns up cold and there are items missing. Happened multiple times. Great coffee but shame about the service. If you can’t handle the amount of orders you shouldn’t be on a delivery app. That’s all I’ll say. Maybe coffee one should employ more staff?

Usual coffee shop experience. Decent selection of cakes/pastries. Friendly staff.

Visited on a Sunday 11th Feb 24. Was busy with a 5min wait in queue. However, tables available. Unfortunately, some tables whilst empty had items left on them and nobody around to clean up. Those tables that were clear needed wiping down. Pannini lovely and cheesecake great. Coffee was luke warm to drink. Wasn't worth complaining about as staff busy. Yes, I'd come again but expectations not met on this occasion.

Popped in for coffee while wife had hospital appointment.

Their earl grey tea is absolutely gorgeous 😻 and their selection of cakes and pastries is fabulous.

Fantastic coffee shop and the best coffee in Keynsham!

There is something about this place, despite being a chain it has some charm and atmosphere. Sitting by the window and looking out on the street on a cold day. From all the cafés in Keynsham, I prefer this one.

Relaxing place to enjoy a coffee

Been here lots but the service today was worse than appealing. Products on display were incorrectly priced and staff trying to charge the higher price. Also took ages to be served and they were less busy than most Saturdays. Staff were rude and unhelpful. I will say this again it is all young people who can't deal with problems.

Great coffee shop. Coffee is always first class. Food options are always varied, with lots of cakes and sandwiches available to chose from. Seem like a change in management has done this shop the world of good!

This morning floor dirty and smelt of dogs. Not a pleasant visit

Always a busy store! Can sometimes be short of seats but staff always smiling and happy and often get you laughing. Ran very, very well, kudos to your staff for making this branch what it is.

Nice strong coffee, cakes looked inviting but had already eaten. Not alot of people in there but it was a Monday afternoon.

Love this branch. I come here all the time! The new team are all lovely and coffees are always perfect. It does get really busy and I've heard some older customers give the staff some grief. Shame that not everyone can be so understanding when they are clearly doing their best!

The staff on over the weekend didn't know how to make a frappe - was really runny like a milkshake with no taste. So disgusting I couldn't drink it

They literally get my order wrong everytime I go in there! Consistently for the last 4 weeks! Absolute madness! Coffee is nice though...

Nice for a social coffee or tea.

Great coffee place with a wide range of different drinks. Absolutely love their white hot chocolate. Unlike a lot of modern coffee places (like Costa or Starbucks), this has a great local community feel. They got a community board and do various things. Also, their rewards app is awesome.

I'd like to give an accurate review but my food never arrived and nobody picked up the phone.

None of our favourite teacakes today, but the cakes were fine 🙂

The staff here at Coffee #1 are just so lovely! Incredibly kind and friendly to us foreigners, which we really appreciated. The coffees were delicious and the breakfast burrito was not the best ever but perfectly serviceable. The atmosphere was warm and appealing.

Poor young woman was so busy whilst her colleague on a break. Seemed understaffed for a Saturday. Had the falafal and red cabbage wrap which is delicious.

Coffee1 always used to get my vote but sadly not this time when I arrived there was a long queue which I don't mind because the service was quick the member if staff who served was friendly and welcoming but can't say the same about person who when I asked for a clean spoon because the one that came with my coffee was dirty and their reply was oh it's probably just chocolate sprinkles obviously not bothered at all. This is why it's just 3 stars and why I won't be returning here which is a pity because coffee1 would always be my first choice but not here again

This was one of my favourite coffee shops in Keynsham but the last time I visited, the service was poor. While I was stood at the counter waiting for service, the man who (eventually) served me was too busy chatting to his colleagues to take any notice, so I called out "Excuse me" but got the impression I was almost an inconvenience. I had to call out at least three times as he kept getting my order wrong, no apology and didn't take the hint so I've gone elsewhere since. If all Coffee # One Keynsham customers do this, there will be no business and no jobs for the staff so it would be wise to take notice of customer feedback, i.e Please be more attentive in future!

Plenty of choice for cakes and drinks but I found it to be quite noisey atmosphere

The best coffee they give you in Bristol, better than Starbucks or Costa. Their cake is much enjoyable, never dry. Even my bestie - who was a barrista in London - can confirm that.

Friendly staff and nice coffee. You can also do "click and collect" now which makes it really easy to take out without having to wait in the queue

Lovely cafe, a range of seating available. They offered a range of savoury options (sandwiches, bacon bap, sausage baps, paninis). Loved my chicken and pesto panini wirh a loose berry tea and my husband enjoyed his bacon bap with decaff breakfast tea. Fast service when we visited Saturday late afternoon. Nice variety of drinks. One disabled toilet available so there was sometimes a wait to use the toilet. I will visit Coffee#1 again. They seem to be a great coffee chain!

We are living in Keynsham and this is our favourite coffee place. The stuff are working hard, but because they are always busy the queue so long... The coffee ☕ is great and cakes are delicious.

Great place to have a coffee, which tasted like coffee (some places don't ) the bonus here is we could bring our dog after a big dog walk.

One of the best 'high street coffee chain' lattes I have ever had, hot, strong and with velvety milk, no froth. Well done 😊.

I used to come here always when visiting keynsham but sadly not anymore. The last time we visited, there were a lot of dogs, some barking and some even sat on the furniture. Sorry that's not hygienic.

Whilst standing in the queue today I witnessed the manager being extremely rude to a customer that complained about poor hygiene of a staff member. The manager was extremely rude. We stood in line shocked at her disgusting unprofessional attitude. No one wants to be served my someone biting their nails. I will never return to this dirty cafe.

Big cavernous coffee place, very popular at times. Can be chilly if people coming and going. One of the.more expensive places to stop, but little competition at this end of the high street. Free parking at Tesco for a bit. **Now with revamped high street outside, cafe sits proudly surrounded by an ocean of charity shops. Frantically busy today (Saturday) but staff still smiling 😊

Lovely venue if not a bit noisy as tables brimming over. Had an excellent choice of cakes simple and more exciting. Smoothies and beverages. Will visit again as can park outside .
