Absolutely banging! The chips are to die for and the saveloys, chicken poppers and fish cake simply perfect! Special mention for the lovely young lady behind the counter, very polite and professional.

The food was descusting.. Chip pans need a clean I think all covered in black burnt bits not cooked properly and slimy fish cake.. And what's with the curry sauce.. Won't be going back couldn't eat it after few mouthfuls..

Ordered 6 chips only got 5…. Too far to go back after I got home… Chips were nice, smaller portions than other chip shops in the area

I purchased four portions of Fish and Chips from this business at lunch time today. I then had to take them back to my car in the car park and drive a few miles before distributing and eating them. They were still piping hot, and the tastiest fish and chips that I have purchased for a long while. I can thoroughly recommend this business for the service provided, and the high quality of the food sold.👍👍

Called in today just as closing and two lovely ladies fired up and cooked 3 pieces of fish. Thank you so much it was delicious

What a lovely and friendly chip shop. Very friendly staff. This will be controversial, but some of the best chips around. My wife had a piece of fish and said it was the best she's had since our holiday in Cornwall. Wish I'd taken some photos.

Food was so-so, very oily, some uncooked batter and fish was a bit mushy. Chips were nice though, and a decent pea fritter. Girl serving kept licking her fingers, wiping her nose on the back of her hand and touching her hair. Needs some Basic Food Hygiene training. Good selection on the menu, don't see hake very often. Nice traditional chippy, could be better with a bit more effort.

Do like a chippy tea now and then and always come here as they are the best around where we live ... Always welcoming and friendly 👍🥔😁

Superb little old school chip shop! If you're after a proper, crispy outside, soft centred, smothered in salt and vinegar chippy, this is definitely the one...! By those standards, very best in the area!!

Lovely food, very classic chip shop taste, however it's one of those places where the food far outweighs the customer service provided. All staff seem miserable as anything, can take up to 5 minutes to even mutter a word to you. Food is well worth the ignorance though!

Nice fish and chips, try the Hake it's better than Cod

Always nice fish and chips here, freshly cooked, a bit pricey at £8 for cod and chips, £2.50 for the chips is a bit much but for that you know its going to be nice, also probably to do with the price of electricity and rises in costs so everything is going up I suppose and like everywhere else.

A great little chip shop in the centre of Midsomer Norton with great food and friendly staff. I really enjoyed my Jumbo batterd sausage and chips. The chips are really nice with a golden colour to them also with a good portion size The batterd sausage was perfectly done with a good amount of batter on it. The staff talk to eachother wich is nice to see it makes it feel like they enjoy being there and doing there job instead of only braking the silence to just call orders. It's been quite a few years since I last been here and won't wait as long for my next visit. It's really worth giving the chip Inn a try I'm really sure you will enjoy the food from here

Best fish and chips around by far

I like the taste of the chips here. The portions are generous which is an incentive to return. The food is generally good but does depend on who is frying. The food is mainly ready cooked for the popular items and the rest cooked to order. It would be nice if they took the queue order for the cooked to order stuff to speed things up.

Batter is soggy, fish is dry sausage barely even battered, i dont like leaving bad reviews but 20 minutes for a haddock and sausage, pull your finger out and stop serving friends that arrive after initial orders. Atrocious customer service.

The chips was okay but very small portions, the fish didn’t taste right it seemed like it was off and very expensive for what you got
