They have frozen hot chocolate with multiple options available! I wish I had tried the other chocolate products as well. Plenty of inside seating!

"The cookie sandwich was really good and you should get it." The hot chocolate is delicious too as well as the matilda cake. They didn't have enough staff for an eat in service but allowed us to sit with out takeaway boxes anyway.

This sweet little chocolate shop was great! I was kindly greeted and asked about their frozen hot chocolate. The worker went on to explain all the flavors and I decided on the Matilda flavor which cake with chocolate cake blended into the hot chocolate. It was delicious! So perfectly sweet but not too sweet and the small chunks of cake were yummy. I would definitely recommend grabbing a sweet treat here.

Food is pretty good, but what I loved was the view from the window and most of all, the service from the waitress, I think she’s called Inna. Five stars to her commitment and care to the job. We could tell she wants to do well - and she definitely did! The other waitress, Jay I think, was also smiley and nice

It is worth it even if it is to buy anything, to consume on the premises or to eat on the go.

We had a lovely hot chocolate and a cookie. We found it too expensive. Place was not very looked after and the toilets were so disgusting. Staff didnt seem to bothered in cleaning the place at all. But overall, food was really good.

A beautiful (chocolate) tea room in the heart of the historic center of Bath. A friendly welcome (and in French, what a luxury isn't that!) and drinks at more than reasonable prices considering the quality. The interior is charming and comfortable, with a great soundscape. A nice way to discover the city in a low-calorie way!

Really delicious, high-quality chocolate. Amazing cheesecake. Need to ensure when ordering the hot chocolate you do have to mix it yourself for a good five minutes to make sure that there isn’t all that yummy chocolate left at the bottom of your cup. For some reason they don’t mix it for you! Nice ambiance opposite Bath abbey. they offer chocolate buttons and mini chocolate bars and a café where you can enjoy cakes and drinks.

Gorgeous products and hot chocolate but simply too expensive, £6 for a standard hot chocolate and same again for a cookie sandwich.

We had arrived a little bit late, but liv made our experience absolutely outstanding and she was a lovely lady. She really knew her stuff and made us feel really comfortable. She definitely deserves a raise and Potts was amazing. The food was also fabulous

One of my go to places for a sweet treat! The s’mores hot chocolate was delish!! Everything you’d want in a hot choc, so rich! I’ve had better brownies if I’m honest but it was still very tasty and wouldn’t stop me going again! The fact you can have melted chocolate poured over everything takes it to another level!

This place was recommended to us as the best place to get a hot chocolate in Bath, so we had to check it out! It’s a funny thing though as before you step inside you may consider yourself something of hot chocolate connoisseur/expert, yet once you get to the counter you suddenly realise you’ve not got a clue what to order, feeling wayyyy out your depth! I, stupidly went for the Milk Chocolate option. It was nice but wish I’d of gone for something a little more heavy/bitter in hindsight. The staff patiently explained it all to us so can’t really knock that just a lot of choice! I get the vibe they’re going for but I do feel as if the place needs a few quid throwing at it.

Most expensive hot chocolate in my life 😂 nearly had heart failure at the bill - £67 for 3 milkshakes (which were very small), 2 small (and cold) hot chocolates, and 5 cookie things that should have been nice and warm but arrived hard, and as cold as the hot chocolate. Gutted as I'd been desperate to come here for quite some time! It wasn't particularly busy, maybe half full, and we had to clear someone else's rubbish off a table to be able to sit down. Definitely wouldn't return.

Went for a round of hot chocolates and to ride the Christmas merry go round with our kids. Drinks are incredibly expensive, and the staff were pretty irritable. I understand the Christmas market period must have been exhausting, but it slightly ruins the experience when staff roll their eyes at you for asking an incorrect order to be corrected. Also our little one needed the toilet, which was absolutely disgusting. We won't be back.

Fairly mediocre experience. I only had a coffee, but presentation was poor, coffee lukewarm, atmosphere sterile, service average, and prices rather too high for what you get. There are far better places to go to in Bath for a coffee!

Mrs. Potts Chocolate Factory is definitely worth a visit if you’re a hot chocolate lover. Their hot chocolates are absolutely delightful—rich, creamy, and incredibly tasty. On a cold winter day, it’s the perfect treat to warm you up and indulge in something comforting. However, the service could use some improvement. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, which slightly dampened the experience. That said, the quality of the hot chocolate makes up for it. If you’re in the mood for a fantastic hot chocolate, I’d still recommend giving Mrs. Potts Chocolate Factory a try. It’s a sweet little spot for a winter pick-me-up!

Whilst walking around the Roman Baths we spied the chocolate sign from the top and planned to visit when we finished! When we walked in we were greeted like regular customers. The chocolate barista knew so much about each blend, he explained the strength and the flavours. When we couldn’t make a decision he gave us a little pot of the flakes to smell and taste. I had the 100% and it was the best chocolate I’ve had. I’m vegan and gluten free and it was such a treat to have choice, they even had vegan whipped cream!

Chocolate workshop We felt the whole experience was exceptional value for money. The space for the workshop was wonderfully well suited to the activity, spacious and light and clean. We were really impressed with all the ingredients we had access to, this made it so special, and felt that the ease of decorating the chocolate and using the moulds made it super accessible for us. We really liked the packaging we got to wrap our bars in, this was a really sweet and unique touch, will make wonderful gifts for people! We couldn't believe the platter we got while waiting for the bars to set in the fridge! The brownies and blondies were so delicious, and being able to enjoy a range of treats from Mrs Potts gave my friends an excellent introduction to my favourite place and a reason to come back! Most of all, we were so impressed with Benjy our host. He was so friendly and considerate, very kind ensuring we had the best time possible. He gave us a great tour of the ingredients, the history of the chocolate, and gave really clear and helpful demos that enabled us to get the most from the day. We think he is an absolute credit to your team, and has a real talent for baking and for teaching, and a clear enthusiasm and passion for the product. We are so pleased to have had such an amazing experience. We'll certainly be back soon and will spread the word!

Mrs Potts chocolate house is a lovely café with lots of hot chocolate options from white to dark chocolate. I usually enjoy the smores hot chocolate but unfortunately they were all out. We got a milk hot chocolate with whipped cream and a kitchen sink cookie. Me and my friend both enjoyed and we love visiting Mrs Potts!

I came here because I wanted a hot chocolate and was very pleased I did. There were lots of lovely options, I went for the malted milk one, which was very tasty and came with a few maltersers and a chocolate button. It's definitely a perfect place to visit on a cold day.

£5.60 for a hot chocolate here now is ridiculously overpriced. I’ve been coming here for years but won’t be returning unfortunately. God knows how much the food costs. My hot chocolate was also lukewarm and was missing the chocolate button, luckily a nice server overheard me when my friend received her drink that I was missing mine and brought some over which was appreciated. However to pay that much money for this experience is way too much. They don’t advertise the prices very clearly either which is cheeky in my opinion, so I assumed it was around the £4.90 mark as it’s always been. They have two tiny menus at the front which make the prices extremely small. My friend ordered straight after me and was ignored as both servers made a huge order and they didn’t even say anything to her that they would be with her soon. Don’t recommend.

Had a takeaway classic hot chocolate from here today, and it was pretty lackluster. I've been to the branch in Bristol and the quality was far better. Not unpleasant but not worth the money today unfortunately.

Perfect little treat on a rainy day. Stopped here for a cookie and ended up getting the malted hot chocolate too. It was creamy and decadent. They have three different chocolates to choose from when deciding which to use for your hot chocolate.

Everything was great except for the fact that they don’t wash their plates and cups very well

Booked a chocolate bar making experience and it was an awful experience! Arrived with high expectations. To start the event nothing was mentioned about washing hands before starting which I thought for food prep was appalling! We were given aprons to wear which had blobs of dried chocolate on them so they hadn't been washed between uses! We all got to try a small piece of white, milk and dark chocolate which was pointless as then you only to make milk chocolate bars! One ladle available for between 9 people in workshop to make your chocolate bars so a long wait! Person presenting workshop was unenthusiastic and mumbled his way through the workshop. I was expecting knowledge and information to be given regarding chocolate making and history of Mrs Potts but apart from a small poster with picture of Coco leaves or pods shown! No tools available to drizzle chocolate on chocolate bar so very limited what you were able to do! Brownies and cookies in separate room were tasty but was appalled when our plate of edibles was put on someone else table by mistake where the people then touched all the cakes etc looking through them and then man working there came back and said sorry it was a mistake and that this plate was meant for us! He then gave us the plate of baked goods which other people had touched! Overall it was very boring workshop with no information given regarding chocolate knowledge! No tools or technique used or taught at all about how to make chocolate bars. Very disappointed!

I saw this place and thought "Ooh chocolate, let's see what they have." Yum. Dark chocolate hot chocolate. None of this overly-sweet milky stuff. This is seriously proper hot chocolate. Looks like there are good options for vegan/dairy-free. Nice seating, both inside and outside. Right across from the square where local music

Used to love coming here when visiting Bath in the summer. Such a shame this cafe has gone down hill. Long waiting times to be served, no apology from staff. I feel staff are cutting corners- sometimes offered melted chocolate onto top of cake, often not. Some staff members are friendly, others not. It seems that customer service is not what it used to be anymore. Very inconsistent service overall.

This was our second visit to Mrs Potts and it appears they have either changed their production methods or ingredients as last time we visited several products where marked as Gluten Free which was amazing as I suffer from Coeliac Disease but on this visit nothing was marked as GF however when we spoke to the staff they did point out that several products where indeed GF however they were all marked as May Contain Gluten; which I understand due to environment but I think clearer labelling, GF displays or staff understanding would be beneficial as the food from Mrs Potts is amazing!!

The brownies are definitely not worth £4.9 a piece. Dry, mediocre, and so pricey.

I took my daughter to Mrs Potts today for a tea and cake. The tea came in a takeaway cup. I asked if it could be put in a mug. The manager’s response was beyond rude informing me that no he couldn’t because he didn’t have time to wash it up afterwards. The cafe was very quiet at the time. There was no apology and his tone and manner were very blunt. I was extremely disappointed to be treated this way and won’t be going back.

The best hot chocolate in town, all vegan too. The 100% chocolate version is very special. But be careful, this is completely unsweetened.

We’ve ordered from here before in the past and always had great experiences. However when we ordered today we received 3 very overcooked burnt tasting cookies and the carrot cake’s cream cheese icing was so bitter and savoury, tasting like the baker forgot to add any sugar into it. We probably won’t order from here again, don’t know if there’s a new baker in the Bath store possibly.

We attended an educational chocolate making workshop, we are a small independent specialist school based in South Wales. ......... & Tally put on an amazing workshop where learners got to experience an in depth experience of chocolate making including origin and history and got to try different types of chocolate. After learners had made their bars of chocolate using a variety of toppings. During the break we got to order a drink and snack from the menu, our learners thoroughly enjoyed this. Lastly learners were taught how to wrap and package their chocolate, staff went over and above to accommodate the needs of our learners. Thank you so much and we look forward to returning.

Wow, what a RIPOFF. £2.70 for a miniature bottle of Coca Cola of just 200ml! I wasn’t even going through an airport with restrictions on what you can have . Come on owners, this is a complete RIPOFF for customers and the profit you are making is extortionate. If I bought a box of identical size bottles from Drink supermarket as one place to buy they are 30p per bottle that’s a mark up of 9 times. By all means make a profit but don’t rip your customers off. The only positive, your staff totally got it when I said something about the ripoff price and size. There friendliness and hard work is what makes your place, not the hefty price tags .

Went in this morning for a coffee sent back as not very warm and guess what neither was the replacement, carrot cake lovely. Not a tourist as I live in Bath very disappointed.

I know Mrs Potts from Bristol, but I had never visited the cafe in Bath. I already knew that sweets are delicious, especially cake. The brownie was a bit dry for my taste. The only negative was the space, which was not so beautiful compared to Bristol. The bathroom seemed particularly dirty to me.

Greeted with a warm and happy welcome. The staff are clearly happy in this cafe. Fabulously smooth flat white and an incredibly delicious gluten-free double cookie sandwich. Gluten-free often impacts the flavour - not so in this case. It was fab. Will visit again once once the calories are burnt off! Highly recommend 😁

We had waited 10mins to then be told when we stepped foot inside that they ran out of takeaway cups. We then decided to just get a pot of chocolate to make and home and it took then again 10mins to just ring it up on the till. Nobody would even turn around and pay attention to people stood there. Absolutely terrible service. Don't waste your time.

Well that was probably the biggest let down and not just for me but for all the other customers quing for over 15 minutes at the counter and being completely ignored 😕 shocking service. I gave up at around 20 minutes and left Having good cake does not excuse an appalling lack of service. At least talk to your customers!

Found this place after searching online and it was such a good choice! The coffee was lovely and had alternative milk options. The cookies were incredible and the locations is really central near the Roman baths!

This is not a comprehensive review, more like an review of the cake and initial view on the shop. Matilda Cake £5.9, price is on the middle scale, the taste initial has a salty kick to it which balances out the sweet flavour of the chocolate. The texture of spongy cake is moist, the chocolate filling is very smooth. A solid cake. The cake can easily be shared by two person due to the solid flavour it has. Staffs are quick, friendly. At 2-3pm Wednesday the shop was mostly empty, which is a good plus if you wanted to enjoy some me time. Atmosphere is great. Would recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to sit for just a while and enjoy a bite.

My daughters took my wife and myself here yesterday, for a Mother's day treat. However, the experience was not a treat at all! We were in the first group at 10am, so what did not make sense was we, and everyone else in the tea room, had to wait nearly 45 minutes for the drinks to be brought in. There was no apology for the delay. I don't know why the staff weren't prepared, as they were stood around inside, before the doors opened! I had a mocha, which whilst it was nice, it was lukewarm. Other reviewers had said the same thing, about hot drinks not being hot. All our other "hot" drinks were also lukewarm. The cakes and scones looked good, and in fact were (hence the 2 stars, otherwise I would have given 1). The scones were lovely, but were the diameter of a 50p!!! The cost of cakes were ridiculously expensive. I bought a cookie and a brownie, which was over £10!!! 😳 Annoyingly, when I got home, I discovered I what was in the bag, wasn't what I asked for! 😡 We will not be back, anytime soon.

I visited this restaurant with my partner and we both enjoyed the Dream Cake which came with an extra chocolate drizzle of your choice! Lovely little café in a central and convenient location.
