I am just going straight to the point...I bought a bottle of nozecco (non alcoholic prosecco) for all of us to share. Which I wasn't expecting to pay £25.00 for!!! The reason for that price when asked why £25.00 for a non alcoholic bottle of prosecco (which at the most is £4.00), was, "we don't have a code and have never had a code so we charge at the same as a prosecco" this is unfair pricing, outrages!!!!

This cafe is directly opposite Bath Spa train station. There is seating available outside, bar seating & several tables inside. They had many breakfast options including the usual Full English / breakfast baps, Eggs Benedict & veggie options. They also offer granola, porridge & several pancake options. We had a Biscoff & whipped cream pancake stack & porridge with berries & banana. Variety of milk choices are available for your drinks etc. Service was efficient & friendly & prices were reasonable.

We just popped in while waiting for the train at Bath Station half expecting to end up in a tourist trap but we were very pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious (probably the best brunch we had in Bath) and staff were very friendly. This place is conveniently located opposite the station on the corner. The pancakes were amazing and they were potentially the thickest pancakes I’ve ever had. The lotus biscoff pancakes had a lot of sauce and the pancakes came out warm which made them taste even better. Loved them and if I were to stop off in Bath, I’d be sure to visit again.

The cafe is very homey and cute offering a lot of tables for the size. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, explaining and helping us with our order. I planned my sisters hen do in Bath and booked Cafe Au Lait for bottomless brunch. Two people within the party have illnesses which lead to us arriving a little late, they were very accommodating with pushing our booking back by 30mins. The food was amazing and there is so much of it! Again they were accommodating to needing to change the pancakes due to illness. They were attentive with drinks and keeping an eye on our empty Prosecco bottles. Definitely recommend and would return. My only gripe is that our table was next to the door which doesn’t have a slow close which means it slams shut every time someone enters or leaves and it’s a very busy cafe.

I've been there a few times and the food and atmosphere are relatively pleasant. however, every time I have been I have felt very unwelcome. I understand the stress of working somewhere so small and busy, but to be stood waiting to be seated for 15 minutes without any member of staff addressing us, to the point where I didn't even think we were in the right place is quite unsettling. the staff were also quite unpleasant and seemed miserable. working in a small busy place I tough but its not difficult at all to at least try to be pleasant. it is a cute place don't get me wrong, but I don't think it is very fair to make the customer feel unwelcome and somehow make us feel we are doing something wrong.

Not a huge space if you’re inside, but on a nice day, tables and chairs outside on the pavement would be fine. A great find, but I guess it’s always very busy. Visited cafe au lait with my 6 good friends for a farewell brunch after a delightful weekend in Bath. After a short wait we were shown to our table. Unfortunately, this is where it all went down hill. We ordered our drinks from a waitress who was rude, rolling her eyes when asked any questions and we felt very rushed to make our order. The food itself was fine. It looked better than it tasted. No one asked how our food was and plates taken from us the second we had put down our cutlery. When clearing the table another waiter gestured rudely to my friend for her to pass her plate which was embarassing. We then went up one by one to pay our bill. As the last person came to pay there was an extra veggie breakfast and a vanilla latte outstanding. We double checked that everyone in our party had paid. No one had even ordered a vanilla latte. The waitress became very snappy and argumentative with us saying we just had to pay it and there’s a vanilla latte on the bill therefore we must have ordered one. Her attitude was horrible and we explained that we had not ordered a latte and she had just taken 6 payments one by one and we would not be paying for an extra breakfast. She then rolled her eyes again, and said I’ll void it then and stormed off in anger. Overall, a sad end to our trip. Will not be back and will not be recommending this place. Clearly a victim of instagrammable inedible food. Staff could clearly do with some lessons on good manors and how to count.

I visited as I was in Bath for a couple of days and after seeing good reviews for this place on online I thought I’d give it a go. I ordered the avocado and asked if the salsa had coriander and explained that I’m one of those people where it tastes like soap. The waitress said yes but that they could do fresh tomatoes instead which was great. When my food arrived it turns out the avocado had coriander in it too. I had no check back, so when my plate got cleared (after about 15 minutes of me finishing) I asked a different waitress if there was coriander in it and she said yes, so I explained about the tomatoes and all I got was a sorry. Same thing happened with the bill, all I got was a sorry and didn’t get offered any discount (not even a coffee of the bill) even though half the dish was inedible to me. I work in hospitality and I know mistakes happen but it’s how you fix them that matters and nothing was put right about this one.

We had breakfast here during a two night stay in Bath. We sat outside as weather was brilliant. You have to go in to pick up menus then order at counter if you sit outside so be aware of that. My husband has a cooked vegan breakfast and coffee and both were great. He said after his first sip it was great coffee and he hardly ever does that so it must've been good! I had an iced soya latte and the granola (dairy free yoghurt with it). The granola was perfection. It was presented beautifully and was heavenly to eat. I absolutely recommend you try it if you're a cereal type person in the morning. I can't say enough good things about it. We also came back for a drink on the morning of our departure while waiting for a train. Again we sat outside. Can't comment on how things are inside but it looked nice when we went in to order. Service was fine once we realised you go inside to order (and collect menus).

We both had the full English. I was very impressed by it. The Eggs were cooked the exact way I like them, great Butchers sausages, lovely tomatoes, and amazing beans in a BBQ sauce. My one small complaint would be more bacon. My Dad's only complaint was that he prefers a "plain breakfast" and that it was "too tasty" ( see what I mean ). I would prefer it if they didn't put a service charge on the bill, this was removed with no complaints, however i was going to leave a tip anyway, I just prefer to pay what I think the tip should be. As a person who works in hospitality myself, was appalled by service. Food was good but our server gave us dirty looks, and left us as soon as ordered. Forgot a part of my meal and then didn’t check back. When we went up to pay, she was stood at bar talking with colleagues and didn’t see her once on floor afterwards. The service has significantly gone down hill. I chose to not pay a tip which is never my usual case as I understand waitresses deserve tips even though it’s not expected. When we left we heard them discussing no tip and comments about us. Won’t be attending again. Very sad considering was a favourite spot of mine.

the food is okay, however the service was so bad - I don’t think I’ve ever felt so unwelcome in a cafe, I work in hospitality and I know firsthand that it’s not hard to smile and be nice! I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on the service so maybe it’s particular members of staff acting like high school mean girls. Really disappointing!

Was there for 10 minutes and felt bad service and atmosphere giving stuck up, miserable. Glad I got a takeaway.

Coffee shops are much of a muchness in that they all tend towards the same atmosphere so they are made or broken by their offering. The staff were slow and inefficient to serve and when you were served the attitude was poor and offish as if it was a chore to be helping. The cost was high and value low. We apparently had large cups which are really normall sized cups in other places. They were mildly warm too. Complaint was pointless as the queue was endlessly growing due to slow service. At £3.80 each it made it very poor value. Food looked ok so this review is only about the service and coffees. But I'm not tempted to return to try their food.

This has to be the best brunch in Bath, maybe all of the UK. We had the bottomless brunch on a busy Sunday morning. The staff was attentive and outstanding, we were never left wanting more of anything. The eggs bendict and brunch bun were so good. Savory sausage, perfectly cooked eggs. Top tier presentation and then...the pancakes!! Divine. Dark chocolate and candied banana pancakes. Lovely. Bacon pancakes. Savory. Well worth it.

Quick service and very friendly. A little too much pesto (personal preference) on the mushrooms on toast. But both brunch’s were lovely along with the smoothie

Amazing food! So many great options for vegan and gluten free! Service was friendly and they all seem very cool calm and collected. The coffee is also beautiful. I haven’t seen art like it in Bath! Will definitely be back maybe for their bottomless option...
