Lovely spot for a coffee and a bacon bap in a very quiet peaceful courtyard! Lots of space outside for the dog to sit and settle. The bap’s were full and the rolls were delicious. I like my bacon chewy and not overly crispy which is what I got but if you like crispy bacon I’m sure you can ask! Coffee was very good and came out nice and hot!

The best butchers I know, there's some wonderful produce all around the shop and all the staff are really pleasant. There's a coffee shop that's apparently very good, I just haven't ever had the time to stop! But any time I go put that way, I try and pop in for some of the tastiest meat available - this week, it was some huge port chops and some of their speciality sausages handmade on site.

I dropped in for a takeaway latte. It's a great looking place in a beautiful part of the country. Unfortunately, the coffee was disappointing. With city prices I expected better. My latte was so hot I burned my tongue. It was watery so more like a very large cappuccino and the coffee component was underwhelming. I don't think it's very difficult to make good coffee so come on people, please get it sorted.

I made a purchase in the farm shop. The cream I purchased was not up to standard so on returning from our travels I contacted New Manor Farm shop. Although it was not anything to do with the farm shop and was a manufacturing problem with the dairy, the team at New Manor Farm refunded me and I really appreciated the gesture. Thank you to the team.

Roasts all came with roast potatoes, leeks in cheese, pig in blanket and Yorkshire pud. The server asked if we needed any more gravy - all food (even the pig in blanket) tasted delicious. Couldn’t really fit a pudding in! We did have bread and butter pudding and a rocky road cake again all absolutely delicious can highly recommend?

After just visiting with my 2 young grandchildren for cake and drinks as a treat I was disappointed with the service in the tearoom, I asked for a hot chocolate with the marshmallows on the side not realising that apparently it’s called a naughty hot chocolate as I asked for cream and the flake which unfortunately I didn’t see the price difference as it was partially covered, the lady certainly looked put out by me asking for these and that I was very sorry I didn’t see the price. I was also told very bluntly before I ordered drinks that the kitchen is closed for hot food, which I didn’t want anyway!! I work in customer service and if I treated the customer as I was treated I would be pulled up straight away, just because you work in villages and everything is ran differently than towns just have some manners and try and be more helpful!!

This review is purely based on the cafe on site. The cafe itself is good, nothing extravagant but very clean and spacious, a nice setting to enjoy a coffee and some cake! The staff were all friendly, had to wait a little while for the coffees to be made but not an unacceptable amount of time. The cake portions were incredible! Great value for money and really tasty. The coffees were just OK in all honesty, not the best coffee I've ever had but certainly not the worst! Hence the 4 star review. My family and I went to the cafe here to meet my Dad and Step-Mum for lunch. We are from Herts and were staying in Bath for the weekend. We arrived at just gone midday and it was 12.30 by the time we went to the counter to order. Honestly, my heart sank when I saw the menu. I am Vegan and there was nothing, absolutely NOTHING, on the menu for anyone who doesn't eat meat or dairy. Even the toppings for the jacket potatoes were all unsuitable. My Step-Mum asked at the counter if it would be at all possible for them to make me the Vegetarian breakfast (omitting the egg). She was told no as it had passed midday when the Breakfast section of the menu is no longer served. When she mentioned that there was nothing else on the menu I could eat, the answer was, "She can come back tomorrow". Wow. How's that for customer service?! Hilariously, that wasn't even true as we went on the 8th and they were closed on Easter Day. When I went to order for the rest of my family, it was somehow deemed okay to order bacon baps even though they were only in the Breakfast section. So I asked if I could have the beans on toast (Breakfast section). "No, it's past midday" was the answer! I responded that I'm Vegan and there's nothing else on the menu I can eat and I also pointed out that there is beans on toast available in the Children's section of the menu which is served all day. She said she'd have to ask the Chef (insert facepalm emoji here). Eventually, it was agreed that they could muster up some beans on toast, minus the butter, for the princely sum of £5.45. When the food came, everyone seemed satisfied with their lunch. Worth pointing out though that my latte was at most, two-thirds full but by this time I was worn down and couldn't be bothered to go back in for a top-up. We were there for 2.5 hours and no one came to clear the plates from our table in that time. So. It's a cute place for a coffee outside on a nice day. Probably also okay for lunch too, if you don't have any dietary requirements (although, I did notice both gluten-free and sugar-free cake available - no Vegan cake, of course). I asked my husband what he thought of the food and his response was "Greasy spoon options at Bistro Pub prices". I am simply astounded that in this day and age, there is not a single Vegan option on the menu. It really isn't hard. And the customer service is severely lacking - absolutely no attempt at accommodating me until I pressed the request for an adult-sized portion of beans on toast, even then it seemed like it was a massive imposition. As a Vegan, I wouldn't recommend it. And, based on the customer service we experience, or lack thereof, I wouldn't recommend it full stop.

I loved the food here! I made two visits (Breakfast and Lunch) and then did takeout from the farm shop for two more meals! You really want to visit a farm restaurant on any trip to England. If they have livestock they will make any sausage or meat product you eat from the source. Everything was fresh, plentiful, and exactly what I was looking for in British food. Loved the full English breakfast. Roast beef on a baguette was nice. Steak and ale pie was incredible! I was able to buy amazing cottage, steak and ale, and fish pies from the country store. Sad to see these items largely disappear from pub menus but way better here anyway! Run don't walk to this idyllically located farm restaurant.

We have been going here for lunch every three months on our way to the dentist for many years - Covid excepted. In the past we have been very pleased and would have given the highest rating. Yesterday was different. We arrived at 1.10pm. Wendy was on duty at the counter. When we asked for soup, she replied, without apology, there was no soup today. When asked for all day breakfast, again she said without apology they had stopped serving breakfast at noon. When we commented this must be a change in policy she replied that they were short staffed with only 3 on duty. (I think there was a notice - but I had not seen it.) The problem was not the lack of what we wanted but the serious lack of an appropriate customer friendly attitude. Despite this we needed to eat, so we chose toasties. They were huge and initially looked marvellous. However the lettuce was pretty sad looking and wilted and the coleslaw had a "skin" on it as though it had been out for some time. Will we return? Probably, yes, but we will phone before hand to check they are serving soup and breakfast.

We are all finding it difficult right now but need to be aware of buying meat that is fresh and fit for consumption. We have been going to this Farm Shop for years but just lately some new experiences have caused me to write this warning. We purchased two packs of Chicken thighs from their chiller cabinet. When we took them home we found that both packs smelt awful when opened. The smell was so bad that i had to wrap them up in silver paper and through them in the outside bin. But here the thing. This weekend i went back and explained my findings. Instead of replacing the items or showing disappointment, the butcher argued that i should have left it for 20 minutes to let the air get at it?All i would say is buy from the fresh counter and smell it before you drive away.

Always accommodating for groups and still manage to get the food out within a reasonable time and hot, which other places struggle to do for a group. Fairly basic breakfast menu but offer a vegetarian option. It was great to be given a pot of coffee for four of us rather than the usual one small expensive cup each. The only negative comment to make is that they continue to provide sauces in those annoying sachets, would prefer to have in a glass bottom or reusable plastic containers.

A bit of everything here, all looks very tempting! We had a breakfast bap and pot of tea in the court yard, was lovely. Dogs are not allowed inside but there’s plenty of seating outside where they are allowed. Staff very friendly too.

Popped out with family and mother for a belated birthday tea and scones sort of thing. Very reasonable prices and cakes are gorgeous. Staff were amazingly nice and helpful. Plenty of seating available inside and out. Scone and milkshake were superb tasting and good value. Family had tea and soft drinks and I had a cider. We all went in the farm shop and bought a few bits too. Chocolate bars opportunities huge. So many things to buy. Staff in shop were funny and a great asset to their business. We loved them.

I really enjoyed the 3 cheese ploughmans here. The 3 cheeses: cheddar, brie and a blue cheese (not sure which) were absolutely delicious, and the accompaniments were varied. Rather than just the basic salad there was also a small pot of coleslaw, sliced beetroot, pot of chutney, pickled onion, melon, apple and orange slices and a beautifully fresh seeded baguette with generously 3 pats of butter. Added to that a good cup of coffee, and I was very happy

If you love farm shops you'll love this one. All products and items locally produced and the shop is next door to the Stables Tea Room. A little on the pricey side for a lot of items being sold but it's worth it for the local economy.

good location, good set up, food looked good but we only wanted coffee/tea. obviously very popular and long queue to get served. some customers gave up waiting. seemed like a shortage of staff, or organisational problems. There was only one member of staff, working very hard to take the orders, make drinks, and take payment. She was doing very well.

Visited the Stables Cafe for a very nice veggie breakfast. Good friendly service. Then visited the farm shop across the courtyard which is really well stocked with some fantastic local produce.

Popped in for a cream tea one weekday at 4... and eventually resorted to asking for service at the counter as all four staff were in a different room. Then three ladies who must have recently had their wages docked, all stood around with po faces watching one cheerful lady serve us. The food was OK and the cream plentiful.

Been visiting the cafe and shop for years now. It's the butchers that really impressed. The sirloin is outstanding.

We are fortunate to have a number of quality farm shops very close to us. New Manor is a good place to visit and is constantly adding to what they offer. Good choice of food and drink and large farm shop. Attractive surroundings.
