The bell in walcot street bath has live music Sunday lunchtime Monday evening sometime Tuesday and Wednesday evening it's all free there is a good selection of beers lager and cider lots of snacks also there is a garden at the back where you can get an amazing pizza it's dog friendly also the staff are friendly and very helpful if you are visiting bath I can recommend you won't be disappointed

Great friendly pub with an excellent atmosphere. On certain nights, it offers phenomenal live music or DJ. Includes a beer garden. What's not to love!?

Great atmosphere and very scenic with great staff all round but one of the bartenders really ruined the vibe. She was unbelievably snappy and honestly a bit insulting if it wasn’t for that it would be a place to visit when in bath. Great secret room round the corner top with top tier music.

On the night we visited the place, there was live music and a little special of that kind. Electro-brass is not something you hear every day and everyone has their own taste. Good atmosphere and good food and reasonable selection of beer and cider

A lovely reception from the Landlady/ Owner/Barmaid. It makes such a difference to be greeted so nicely. Famous in Bath for the music and Bohemian chilled atmosphere. A pleasant partly sheltered garden at the rear. Which also boasts a pizza parlour. We will definitely return 😊

Returned here after a few years of absence, to see if the vibe is still there. Still a great place, with a solid vibe, but could've been a little friendlier. Staff all chat amongst themselves and with the 'flies. Definitely feels like a place for regulars, which is understandable.

The Bell 🔔 is the place to spend money and time. Amazing atmosphere, well kept and stocked bar, great courtyard with top notch pizzas with great clean, crisp flavours. I've seen some Stella live gigs which are transportation. If your in the area your a fool to miss out.

The Bell Inn a community owned pub with over 800 share holders. A Bath institution and very popular at the weekends. Visiting in a sunny Saturday early afternoon, we found a chilled atmosphere and had time to chat to staff and fellow punters... When we returned around 9.30 in the evening the whole place was jumping! In the current CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2024, with a pop up pizza stall in the evenings. Regular music and community events, with plenty of seating in the outside area at the rear. Not an up market venue, but if that's what you want Bath had plenty of such places... But if you want a good pub with decent ale, and a friendly lively atmosphere "The Bell" is for you.

A co-op owned pub and it shows it. The bar people were friendly and the beer selection fantastic. Great pizza cooked and served onside too. Regular live music which I want to come back for to sample.

It's a pub. I don't think it does food. Beers good and cheap.

Music sounded as if it would be good but was only the soundcheck. However the barman was really rude to my husband. When he asked if they had Heineken 0 he said no then said nothing else. So my husband asked if he had anything else and he said yes, any more questions? then nothing again. Eventually he gave him a beer. Not the way to keep customers. Won't be going back.

Went for a live music event. Great venue with bags of character and very down to earth and friendly staff. Hope to be back!

Nice atmosphere, good on the locals for saving this pub but the charmless young lady behind the bar must be costing you a fortune and it would be a shame to let everyone else's hard work go to waste over the poor attitude of one. Hopefully this gets addressed and becomes a roaring successful pub.

Really great place. Nice crowd. Good atmosphere. A proper pub but with a progressive, welcoming feel and really nice customers. Didn’t have food or stay for live music but will be back to check it out. The wine and beer was pretty good!

Lovely independent pub, cosy and perfect for a quiet pint. Prices are higher than average, though, as an independent pub this is to be expected in the current financial climate. The pub has a range of traditional pub games including a pool table. There is also regular live music. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bar has many independent ales and spirits. The Guinness is tied with Flan O'Brien's as the closest thing to Irish Guinness I've had in Bath. Would definitely recommend!

Visiting Bath, looking for an authentic English pub, and found it in this gem. We had a local pale ale, a cider, and a diet Coke. The drinks were good; the service was prompt and friendly; the music good. We had got there too late to order pizza and decided to go look for our dinner. Otherwise, we would have stayed for another round or two.

Went early evening on a Saturday. DJ setting up but good music over the sound system. Good choice of beers.

The Bell may be THE BEST Live Music venue left in Bath! The space makes any gig a bit "intimate", esp. when crowded, but the stage is well raised so well suited to cam-phone filming / pix! Service is EXCELLENT -- Bonnie & Sophia are the superstars behind the bar, w the best smiles in the biz! ALL staff are friendly + fast service. Wide selection of good-value (fairly priced) drinks (buy one for your server!) AND a jug of water + clean glasses available at the end of the bar for those who want it. Indoor seating fills up for gigs, but otherwise is ample when just popping in for a drink when there's no gig. There's a curious / unique pool-like competitive game in The Bell. Give it a go with friends. There's seating outside, smokers will appreciate. There's also a PIZZA MAKER on-site at some hours, serving shareable eats in convenient pizza boxes. Loos inside aren't huge, but -- tip! -- there's an extra set at the back corner of the outside seating area. Parking:: not on-site; try along Walcot St itself, else park at the "Cattle market" outdoor or Podium multistorey both further down, and walk back. Wheelchair access:: Any gig I've been to, I've always seen the one guy in his wheelchair beside the stage, enjoying the music...

Always lovely to be here, dancing on a night out or chatting over a jar or two on a Sunday afternoon in the secluded garden. Great spit and sawdust pub, full of wonderful familiar faces and big characters.

Definitely unique. A breath of fresh air from the many modern gastro pubs all over Bath. Nice outdoor area too, so kids and dogs can roam free (ish).

Really great ambiance. With decent drink selection and prices. The staff are very friendly and quick to get your drinks. The live music here is really high quality and is usually the highlight of the evening.

The Bell is community run, server a good range of beers as well as other alcohols. Bans playing at different times of the week, Wednesday and Sunday.

A Bath treasure, the heart of 'Walcotia' . Great selection of beer,,, very good service and a warm welcome nowadays (if you last came here 10 years ago, I can tell you it is SO much better now. Live music regularly, very good pizza stall many lunchtimes. Outside seating area (and there aren't many of those in Bath).

Bought a drink at 11.15pm and was asked to leave 5 times (by various bar staff) within approximately 10min. When I said I was drinking up they told me to hurry up. Very rude staff who just want to lock up so the locals can drink. It's just a bunch of bar staff wanting to have their own private party in disregard to paying customers.

Every city has that great local pub, the one with live music and a cheery vibe to it, the one which attracts a good crowd, that you can go on a Wednesday or Sunday night and you know it'll be a good evening regardless of the day. This is exactly that pub. Top points for them having a pizza stand in the pub garden and holding live events in the back area 👍

Really friendly atmosphere with a good mix of people and some great live music. The only downer was one incredibly rude bar person who really needs to get a job in a non customer facing role, maybe lighthouse keeper or similar.
