Went to the pub just for a drink and ordered food because it looked AMAZING! Tasted just as good as it looked. Staff were all lovely and friendly and were super helpful. Love the way the restaurant looks, it's such a lovely setting and the outside areas are lovely aswell :)

Nice pub with many types of beer, a little selection of whiskey and excellent food. Price/performance ratio is perfectly fine. Mixed audience.

Went to the Cranleigh for Fathers Day which was unfortunately the same day as England match in Euros 2024. It wasn't pleasurable dining because there was no separation from the pub area so we were subjected to loud music and cheering. Maybe have a partition from the pub area so some people can dine in a bit of peace and quiet. Other than that, service was good, menu acceptable and cost okay.

Much much better layout and management since the refurbishment. Good for the football and easy food menu for the family. Plenty of parking. Beer garden. Dogs welcome. They need to hire a young glass washer/ bar back for busy shifts, they always struggle to keep up. Massive improvement on pervious however.

We decided to go here for one of the games in the Euros and it absolutely exceeded expectations. The food was excellent with a range of fantastic things available. It had a very good kids and seniors menu too. The atmosphere was great and although it was a loud pub, it was still child friendly especially where we sat. There were a good amount of TVs so everyone could see the game too.

My Son's and I came to support our local pub on Father's day at 11.15 a.m approx for breakfast/brunch. We found a suitable table to sit and look to order and was approached by one of the waiters/staff and asked if we had booked, we said that we didn't know that we had to book and there was no signs to say. He came back to say that they were fully booked, although there was only 6 x people sat inside at a table and he didn't make any effort to see if he could sort something out, very disappointed. Anyway, we won't be back and we ended up at the Iford, (no booking) and our total bill was £75.00 spent.. well, missed out for 3 x people at the Cranleigh... Very bad service and staff training is needed. I can offer a good rate, but can't be bothered 😕

Dear Cranleigh Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your pub on June 14th. The tall waiter was exceptionally rude and unhelpful, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. I was about to order, and we were spoken to disrespectfully by a member of staff who said you have to have a reservation, even though no one else was in the pub apart from one table. He offered no help at all and wasn’t apologetic.This level of service is unacceptable and far below the standards expected. We are locals trying to support the pub and it has been thrown back into our faces, and ruined my dads fathers day who is incredibly outraged by the member of staff. He has even offered the man training as it is clear he is inexperienced. I urge you to address these issues to ensure future customers do not have a similarly negative experience. Popped in to meet a couple of good mates for a beer, had something to eat. Food was great, staff lovely. Good atmosphere, and reasonably priced. Great all round

It is what it is. Used to be called Plastic Pubs back in the day. The beer is fine and well priced, the food is just basically young kids warming up packet meals on a hot plate. If you want cheap and dirty. You won’t go wrong. About one level above a Spoons!

Really impressed with the food here. Halloumi wrap was delicious (properly grilled halloumi as opposed to battered and fried). Food arrived quickly but was good quality. The prices were ridiculously good value, especially with offers and discounts. The lady at the bar helped ensure we got the discount we expected for 1 main meal aside from the other offers, which meant splitting the order. Appreciated her efforts. One plate we'd ordered came out incorrectly, the correct item was made and brought out quickly with no quibbles. The bar has recently been done up and the decor looks new and clean. Very impressed!

Smart redec, friendly staff but too noisy. Probably because they were showing the six nations rugby 🔊🔊🔊🏉🏉🏉 The burger was good (double with cheese & bacon) Chips were crispy and BBQ sauce was good too. Still noisy, but I'll return. Blue cheese & bacon burger 🍔 tonight, banging! The whole place was buzzing, pleasantly. With Greene King vouchers, less than £10 with two pints. Thanks 👏👏👏

Came here for a bite to eat. The pub itself was very clean and tidy, dog friendly, and child friendly. It's quite noisy, but that can't be helped. Service was good and speedy. However, the quality of food was basic. I ordered a simple burger and chips, and my friend had the mixed grill. The chips were cold and over seasond the burger was cold also, the salad tasted u washed, because you could still taste the salad wash, my friend had a mixed grill, the steak was not cooked correctly, his chicken was dry like really dry and the sausages were greasy like they were cooked in a fryer. They may of had an off day but still could have been better.

Best pub food we've had for ages. Super clean. Toilets a delight and Jess was a star. Massive improvement on recent years. Would recommend and shall definitely be coming back again. Out new regular 👍🏼

not as good as previous visit. booked table...got given table without enough room for 7.. had extra seat brought. cramped and high seats uncomfortable. food took ages to arrive and table not cleared very quickly between courses. although not full it was extremely noisy in corner we were put. recommend tge Lava pud though

Been here twice since the refit. Service from same guy at the bar just brilliant and he interacts with the children. Toilets/pub are clean. It's nicely decorated and has a cosy feel. Outside dining available in the sun. Food is good and reasonably priced. Only reason for not giving food 5 stars is my chips came with salt on and I would of preferred to put my own on 🤣

Stunning new refurbishment! So lovely clean and tidy, staff are so friendly, helpful and always ensuring everything is OK & clean and tidy. Our first experience here wasn't the best however we have gone back many times since, as the manager and his staff were and have been since so extremely helpful, understanding and patient with me..... Going above and beyond every time since ❤️❤️ Brand new menu again since the refurbishment..... I highly recommend the lasagne and salt and pepper chicken (comes with the most divine katsu sauce) props to the chef for that.... I demolished it!! 😋 Thanks again for great food, fun and giggles 👍👍❤️🍸🍸

We had booked a table for a family meal. There was live music which was good. However you could not hold a conversation as the music was too loud and decided to go elsewhere.

I went with my partner and friends for lunch. I had booked on the Green King app. However, you have to go to the bar to acknowledge your booking, which is frustrating when the restaurant is busy. When ordering food at the bar is always best to double check your order before paying as we had a mistake made on our bill due to staff not being trained fully. The staff were very apologetic but this held up procedures. You can pay for your food on the app, however I couldn't get it to work on the day. After everything the food came quickly and was well presented hot and tasty. A great place to have a meal and good value for money as there are deals. The only thing I was not keen on is that they let dogs into the restaurant, for which if they scratch, could release fur into the air.

First visit, & i was really impressed, they had been refurbished & it was unique. The staff very very helpful as i have allergy problems. Food was beautifully cooked & staff attentive, helpful & polite. All in all first class. Would i go there again, emphatically yes yes yes. I have already recommended to several of my friends already. Also very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Lovely place with good choice of drinks and food. Since refurbished all open planned and find speakers in restaurant too loud while dining and football on TV. Sometimes can’t hear conversation. Keep speakers to bar and high table area and would be perfect place for all.

Whilst we enjoyed our night quiz the acoustics of the pub, imo, are not very good. I appreciate it is a pub and will become noisy but it would really help people involved in the quiz if there were additional speakers down the far end of the saloon towards tables 13 & 14 as we struggled to hear the questions.

We attend Breakfast with the Easter Bunny today. Great event, Easter Bonnet making and Easter eggs for all kids and Easter bunny taking time to have photos with everyone. Very family friendly event.

Was about 20 people standing at the bar, one guy walked out in discust, only 2 staff working, queued up for 15/20 mins, the fish an chips we ordered didn't take too long, and wasn't to bad, fish bit soggy,,

Welcoming visit for mother's day at the Cranleigh. Very friendly staff and attentive. Mother's day card given and daffodils to mother's, nice touch. The Children enjoyed the Magician, which kept them entertained. Lovely food. And wonderful atmosphere. Thank you will definitely visit again.

I visited The Cranleigh today, with my daughter and young granddaughter. We were welcomed warmly by Sarah and all the staff. The new decor is stunning and the whole place had a lovely, open feel to it. Our meals were delicious…I had the ‘Senior’s’ Hunters Chicken. My daughter had the Super Grain Salad and my granddaughter had the children’s chicken and cheese tacos, followed by churros with chocolate sauce. The service was fairly quick, considering that it was a busy Friday lunchtime, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive. We will be back.

Went for Sunday lunch but live football on the many TVs. I'm not against it, but the volume was so loud. My boyfriend and I ate our lunch quickly and couldn't wait to leave. We felt so stressed out afterwards! Would not recommend here on a Sunday. Either make this a place for a nice Sunday lunch or make it an entertainment pub for football. The two don't mix.

Visited this time on the 19/2/2025 Lovely refurb, love the menu. The lady serving this afternoon was so lovely and went out of her way to serve and assist us.

The place looks amazing, the atmosphere changed for the better, always pop in here to have a drink with family when visiting the area, the whole vibe has changed for the better, the pool table removed thank god, the cliental improved too, although still some familiar faces eeek! Visited with a friend who lives in Keynsham. Excellent food, exceptional price, great value for money. Staff were all very accommodating and friendly, Stacey in particular looked after us well although the gentleman taking our orders was so pleasant and helpful too. We’ll definitely return.

Best place toeat . Since I came back from Spain always good service food always nice and hot good value for money. Very friendly staff can have a joke. Will be back soon recommend to anyone who wants a decent meal.

First visit in many a year to this GK Sports pub. Fabulous recent refurb; very clean & tidy throughout. Friendly greeting by the female staff member. Quiet with just a couple of customers, but this was entirely due to visiting early morning just after opening; no doubt it gets very busy and lively during peak times. Will return in the Spring to take advantage of their Steak Thursdays menu offering.

Walked into this pub it was very loud, the barmen was rude i ordered my drink he said he didnt have it but there was a full bottle of it behind him was gonna stay for food but left , all food tables was taken by people in groups you couldnt sit proply as they was so spread ouf they had coata n bags spread all out over tables they wasnt using . Definatley not the same vibe as described on the internet i got when i walked in not for families definately just for a local drink stop .

Absolutely wonderful meal for my sons 18th birthday dinner. 15 of us all enjoyed our meals which look better than they do in the photos. The staff, very accomedating, helping me decorate the area we where given. And even joined in the singing of Happy birthday. The only disappointment was no katsu curry but that just goes to show how good it is.

The food..... especially the fish and chips are fresh and exellent.... as a result we haven't bothered trying many other meals when we're craving a fish night. The staff are friendly and very helpful ...seems like a good team effort is done equally. With smiles and genuine care.... especially helping those disabled to make them comfatable. Strongly recommend it for any occasion.... we simply can't believe the food prices in today's climate. Cheaper than the chippy and we don't need to wash up ! Went here on a Friday with my 2 children as a treat. It was busy with only 2 members of staff on. Had to clean our own table before sitting down. Ordered food with a 45 min wait. 1 problem after another for our whole meal. Couldn't wait to leave in the end!

We have been for Christmas dinner here for the last few years but this time we went under the new management and green king it's terrible dinner was all out of a freezer bag not that great at all and when the Christmas pudding came out well left a lot to be desired it was about 1 inch wide 4 inches long and 2mm thick gravy jug of custard for the price we paid for this was really disappointed don't think wee go back next year find some where new

Food was 1 hour late with no communication from the staff, I had 2 children with me and the experience was horrendous.

Listed over the new year celebrations had to wait an hour for food. Food was dry and chips were too Over priced for the quality of the meal

Had Christmas dinner there yesterday and must say what a great time we had. If I'm honest I wasn't sure what to expect but what a wonderful day. With a vegetarian and a vegan in our party of three, it was good to see they had choices on the menu rather than just the one option that a lot of other places were offering. Lovely polite staff, excellent food and drinks at sensible prices. The place looks great after the refurb. Well done Shaun. Please thank your team for making Christmas Day perfect, and no washing up!!

I really do love this place since new managmenr have taken over. It is a good family pub who always looks after my family. All staff are friendly and have a smile on their face. Food is good, atmosphere is a nice buzz.

Fantastic location, they have decorated the new pub really well and has a much more cosy and homely feel now. The food was delicious and the service was really quick. I had katsu curry that comes with chips and rice, would have preferred the option to have either chips or rice and a salad instead. But what we had was amazing

I went there last night with my boyfriend, it’s a local pub to me and we’ve been there plenty of times before. We went up to the bar to go get a drink and they asked my boyfriend for his ID which when he showed it the barman said we don’t accept this, it’s only accepted in Portugal which isn’t true as it’s an identity card which my boyfriend has used there couple of times before and uses it everywhere pubs/clubs and shops. And the barman was saying that Greeneking don’t accept it when they literally do I just don’t think he wanted to serve him as he had some kind of Problem clearly. Just was really disrespectful the way we were treated and never been treated like that before in a public place, especially a local pub to me when I’ve been there plenty of times won’t be returning after this encounter especially. When the staff are clearly not properly trained and have no self awareness or mannerism.

All the food was great and all enjoyed. Our waiter jack made the experience even better with his help and warm conversation.

We had our canasta class Christmas lunch at the refurbished Cranleigh on 1 Dec. Wow, what a transformation...so much so, I couldn't remember how it was before 😯 We pre-ordered our menu choices (as there was a lot of us), our food came out promptly, was piping hot, were generous portions and was definitely value for money Staff were very friendly and chatty A couple of us have booked again for another afternoon of good food and drinks at reasonable prices too Definitely recommend you give the pub a visit

Been here two weeks in a row on a Friday afternoon. It has just had a refurb and looks amazing. Has a warm and friendly atmosphere and the food is very well cooked and tasty.

Festive fayre menu food was unbelievably fantastic and such good value for money. Friendly staff and lovely pub decor.

Booked and arrived at 4pm. Ordered food at 4.15 A reserved sign was put on our table for 6.30pm so they obviously expected us to leave by then! Waited over an hour for food and final got it at 5.30, had to leave before 6.30 Nothing offered as an apology. Waiting, felt rushed and uncomfortable. Will go somewhere else next time where we're not on a time limit and problems caused by very slow service. Place was half empty with reserved signs on all the tables. Lots of staff as well!

Fantastic venue with ample parking and amazing new decor. Very well situated for all sizes of gatherings, get togethers and birthdays. Just had my wife’s birthday there and Shaun & the Cranleigh team were outstanding in their hospitality. Food and drinks all very reasonably priced and atmosphere is great. Can’t wait to go back! 5 stars :)

First time since they had a major refurbishment and we were very impressed.

It was very busy. They didn't have the bottle of wine we wanted and they got two of the food orders wrong. They brought the wrong burger and instead of cheesy chips we were brought plain chips. I had a voucher for 2 free puddings for my birthday but they couldn't get the till to accept the voucher. But we did get the free puddings. The food was nice but not amazing. I had lasagne and it was pretty flavourless..one of our party had the steak and ale pie and said it was really tasty.
