Amazing Indian taste …. Lovely food & Service !

The best meal out I've had in a long time! The restaurant is cosy and colourful with murals on the walls. The staff were very friendly and helpful - telling us about the dishes we were unfamiliar with. I particularly loved the paneer 65, schezwan cauliflower and paani puri. There were some familiar Indian flavours but it is unique to any Indian meal I've had before. Highly recommend :)

I had an amazing experience at Maaya in Bath Spa yesterday! The food was absolutely fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. A special shoutout to Pratik, who welcomed us with a big smile and incredible hospitality. He went above and beyond, not only recommending dishes but also sharing great suggestions for things to do in Bath. The highlight for me was the Chai, an absolute must-try! It was so good that I found myself going back later in the evening just to enjoy another cup. If you’re in Bath and looking for authentic Indian flavors with exceptional service, Maaya is the place to go. Highly recommended!

I visited with my family on Friday evening, and the place was amazing. The food was delicious and hot, the service was excellent, and the drinks were really good as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We went for a curry before going to the Forum. Maaya is literally 2 mins away. Maaya isn't the standard Indian restaurant...but it's surprisingly good...we all enjoyed our food and atmosphere....though I did miss not having a Jalfrazi and Pilau 😁

Came here on a busy night (Black Friday weekend) and the restaurant was full, thankfully we’ve booked a table in advance. There were 5 of us plus a baby, with a stroller as well, but the staff put us in a nice corner with plenty of space. Drinks were good, and the food was flavoursome. The staff, especially the young chap (shame we didn’t catch his name) was very helpful and friendly. They were very accommodating with our baby throughout the night, despite being very busy. The paintings on the walls were beautiful and we learned that it was the young staff’s fiancé’s artwork. Well done!! Would recommend 😊

I recently visited Maaya of Bath and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The food was full of flavor and beautifully prepared—I especially enjoyed the butter chicken, which had the perfect balance of spices. The menu offered plenty of choice, and everything we tried was cooked to a high standard. Overall, Maaya is a great spot for a delicious meal in Bath. Two of us vsited this lovely restaurant last night and it was amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgable about the food that they serve which helped guide our choices. All the food (5 tapas/street food dishes) was delicious yet very reasonably priced. With 2 glasses of wine the bill only came to £55. Incredible value and a lovely vibe. Good range of vegetarian options. Excellent!

Popped in for a quick meal before a gig. The restaurant smelt delicious when we entered, and we were welcomed by the staff. We ordered cocktails and a selection of street food from the menu. The menu is fairly limited, but frankly I think that's a good sign - would rather have a few options of really well thought out and freshly cooked dishes rather than pages of generic meals to work through. The service was great, the food utterly delicious and we definitely want to go back to try more of their cocktails. The schezwan cauliflower was a particular highlight! Please support this great little restaurant!!

The paneer butter masala curry and garlic naan was so delicious!! And there are lots of vegetarian options to choose from. service was super speedy and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole atmosphere was really nice and cozy, such a beautifully decorated restaurant :) definitely recommend and will 100% be coming back to try the other dishes

First thing was a trip to use the facilities & in doing so got a view of the kitchen. Toilet, kitchen & stairs were dirty so not a good impression. Staff were very sweet. Food was boring (chefs special chicken rice) & the menu barely describes them so you don’t really know what you’re in for.

Excellent little Indian restaurant! It's not vegetarian, although there are veg options of course.... It's not specific to India - more of a street food kind of place - with an interesting variety of dishes... But more Indian than other things (pani puri, but no dosas, etc.). Also, the service was very friendly and helpful!

The restaurant had a nice, cozy atmosphere, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience was quite average. While the server was polite and tried to be helpful, we felt a bit uncomfortable with the frequent check-ins and constant staring at us throughout the time we were there. We specifically requested that the food not be spicy, as my husband has difficulty with spicy dishes, but it still arrived spicy. I ordered a vegetarian paneer dish, which was disappointing—it was watery and lacked flavor. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I don’t believe I’ll be returning.

Small portions and the hyderabad Biriyani was not fresh. But the starters were good. Service was good.

Probably the best Indian I’ve had and I’ve been to India. Prateek was amazing and spent a lot of time chatting to us. He even gave us his chai recipe which was the best chai I’ve ever had. Ask him to recommend some dishes and he will fix you up.

The waiter was very kind, calm, and gave great recommendations. The pani puri started our night off with an intricately balanced blend of crunch, spice, sweet, and sour. The mains warmed the soul, and the mango ice cream was unexpectedly delicious. I would recommend anyone with heart.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and very friendly service. The server/ cool gave us recommendations on how much to order, and it was perfect! The server Even noticed I was having trouble with the spice, and he offered me some yoghurt. Even the mango ice cream we finished with was surprisingly so tasty. Highly recommend you give this place a try.

All I’m saying, is get that crispy lamb!! Dreaming about it as I type, the food here is wonderful and the service is spot on. Deffo check out, halal options available :)

Absolutely delicious food and well priced which means you can order a good variety without breaking the bank. We ordered starters and mains to come at the same time so we ended up with a banquet which is what I would recommend doing. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. We've tried several chain indian street food places and have really enjoyed them but this was much, much better. Only slight criticism is the naan which tasted fine but wasn't the light, bubby, charred, fluffy naans that we're used to, naan was OK but everything else was A* perfect.

Me and my boyfriend visited this evening, it was quite quiet, and for some of our visit we were the only ones in there, but the staff were super lovely, chatty and helpful, at it was well decorated. The pani puri was delicious - I had been wanting to try this dish for a while now and it did not disappoint. It was super flavourful and fun and fairly priced too. We shared too curries, which we were able to customise our spice level, the medium spicy definitely had a kick, but was so so delicious and the portion sizes were perfect for me. We got the butter chicken and dhaba murg as well as some rice and garlic naan. I feel like there could’ve been a bit more garlic naan for the price but with all the dishes we shared it was still good. On the plus side too we also received a student discount, so we will definitely be returning here as it was quite student friendly. It’s a bit of a shame it was so quiet there, it needs some more recognition!! Thanks to the lovely servers and chefs :))

Foos is worst ever i taste in uk , u can see water in the gravey in restaurent there is no chapati and roti or naan only smal portion of rice not for and adult When i ask to soeak to the manager or owner they guy on the counter is very rude and harsh and abusing and syaing levae the permises and use unprofessional words cany write here Very bad Even i paid 19£ and chaier saying i went there to eat with out money I will not recomend anyone for this restaurent

We ate here on a quiet Sunday night and it was amazing! Some of the best Indian we’ve ever had (Including the food we had when visiting India). Prateek was an awesome host who made great conversation and chai tea. He also made suggestions for us from the menu and every single dish was incredible. Just wish we hadn’t found this place on our last night in Bath. We’d be back for sure. Prices were great too.

Lovely little restaurant just off the Main Street. Food was sooo tasty and service second to none. Dishes were not your usual ‘tikka or madras’ so each meal was described and explained. Needless to say we were not disappointed. Thank you! 😋

BEST INDIAN FOOD I have eaten anywhere!! Arrived yesterday in Bath, while walking to hotel smelled this wonderful aroma. After checking in, went to Maaya and ate. We had the owner make suggestions and from the starters, to the street food, to desert, to his homemade chai tea, it was superb.

Just had worst food. Naan bread was like cardboard. Bryani was not actually briyani. It was like boiled rice with some briyani seasoning. Dry chilli chicken thing was re fried and was definitely 3 days old . Chicken curry was microwaved

Diet coke with a very strange taste. Murgh korma tasty but lukewarm. Garlic naan was plain with garlic squeezed out of it, not in it. Toilets with sticky floor and dirt.

Prateek made us feel right at home! His chai was to die for, especially on a cold and rainy day. We got samosas and onion bhaji, both were amazing! Would definitely recommend.

The food, ambience and the chai all were outstanding. We eat Indian food on regular basis and this place is one of the best Indian meals we’ve had in the UK. Prateek is such an amazing host.

Whilst our family trip to Bath, we had dinner at Maaya's and it was a beautiful experience. The food was very delicious and also the atmosphere. Prateek was very helpful throughout and suggested us Chef's special dishes. We will definitely come back.

Stumbled across this place when I saw advert for street food (full menu was available). Was a real treat, never having had the paani puri before. Break the balls with your thumb and fill with chickpea mix etc. Lovely! Samosa was excellent too.

Quite likely the most authentic interesting and tasty Indian cuisine I’ve tasted. A hint for you. Paani Puri… schezwan cauliflower… Kashmiri lang rogan josh… jeera (cumin) rice. Mind blowing.

Very friendly and attentive customer service. Constantly checked in that all was well. Chicken biryani was ok, though not probably a tad but too mild for my liking. I probably should have asked for spicier as I'm Indo-Caribbean and we're used to spicy..

Our group had a great time and really enjoyed our meal. We came straight from the road. The ambience was cosy and welcoming, the owner very friendly and accommodating. Given our size, we went through most of the menu - everything was great - cauliflower, all chicken dishes, palaks, rice - just perfect. Great experience to start our stay in Bath.

We had an excellent experience here. On an extended visit from Australia we’ve tried multiple Indian restaurants, but this was easily the best (and we love our Indian food!). Really delicately spiced, lovely flavours, and excellent service. Highly, highly recommended.
