The most amazing food and the kindest people! Wish I’d found this gem earlier!

The food, ambience and the chai all were outstanding. We eat Indian food on regular basis and this place is one of the best Indian meals we’ve had in the UK. Prateek is such an amazing host.

Whilst our family trip to Bath, we had dinner at Maaya's and it was a beautiful experience. The food was very delicious and also the atmosphere. Prateek was very helpful throughout and suggested us Chef's special dishes. We will definitely come back.

Stumbled across this place when I saw advert for street food (full menu was available). Was a real treat, never having had the paani puri before. Break the balls with your thumb and fill with chickpea mix etc. Lovely! Samosa was excellent too.

Quite likely the most authentic interesting and tasty Indian cuisine I’ve tasted. A hint for you. Paani Puri… schezwan cauliflower… Kashmiri lang rogan josh… jeera (cumin) rice. Mind blowing.

Our group had a great time and really enjoyed our meal. We came straight from the road. The ambience was cosy and welcoming, the owner very friendly and accommodating. Given our size, we went through most of the menu - everything was great - cauliflower, all chicken dishes, palaks, rice - just perfect. Great experience to start our stay in Bath.

We had an excellent experience here. On an extended visit from Australia we’ve tried multiple Indian restaurants, but this was easily the best (and we love our Indian food!). Really delicately spiced, lovely flavours, and excellent service. Highly, highly recommended.

Ordered a take away for pick up with full order. Went to pick it up and they said ‘they hadn’t received anything as the boss had t told them about the order’ - their excuse… nothing ready. We left and will never go back!

Server was friendly the minute we walked in the door - different than any other place we've experienced in Bath! The food (hakka noodles, butter chicken, & Thai green curry, spring rolls) was amazing. Music was just right for a fun but not "disco" mood. Definitely would recommend checking it out!

Superb hakka food and service that with a few tweaks to the restaurant itself could be 5 stars! We all loved the food but the restaurant was too bright, and the toilets have seen better days, but the food was insanely good! They even offered us a Chefs Special to try for free, which was so good that we ordered more! The Chilli Chicken was also especially excellent. The only disappointment were the Messy Fries which were much drier than expected, maybe we were given the wrong dish there. We were expecting something more akin to Hakka classic, Kung Pao Potato which hopefully they will add to the menu in future, along with my other Hakka favourite, Tai Pai Chicken or Paneer. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy something different from a standard Indian. They could even lose the odd Thai and Japanese dish on the menu which felt like fillers to try and get people through the door, when often having a mixed culture menu can often have the opposite effect. The Hakka is the main event, so Maaya should just lean in more on that. Hope they are a Bath fixture for a long time

Service by Malvika was great, could have done with someone helping her. Restaurant could have done with some music, however the food was good.

Been here twice for food as it’s always delicious. Service needed some improvement as they were very short staffed but Malvika was very friendly and accommodating with spice level. Atmosphere could be improved with music and candles.

Most unique and appealing new food in Bath. Spice and cocktails which are the best combination I have ever found. Give a try folks it’s something really different than any other food not only in Bath it’s the unique combo in whole Uk.

Went here 2 weeks ago. Please don't buy from here!! Honestly some of the most disgusting, cold food I've ever eaten. The person who cooked it evidently had no idea what they were doing. They're relatively new to Bath - please, let's put them out of business before many others have to go through this same awful experience. VILE

Ordered from here tonight and had the same experience as others have mentioned. Waited an hour and a half and still hadn't received the order, was told it was with the driver but it never showed up, further calls to the restaurant were ignored/not answered. Best to avoid if you don't want to be left in the lurch and out of pocket.

We went there with my mom mainly because it was close to our hotel and we love Indian food. It was a calm place, which is important to me. The server was very welcoming. The food was great, especially the fried rice. Maybe a bit spicy for us but we have a small tolerance to spices. Back in Switzerland, where we’re from, Indian food is usually less spicy. Thank you for having us. We recommend this place ! :)

Food was due an hour ago, was told 45 mins ago it was with the driver. Restaurant now not answering our calls. Ordered over £100 worth of food. Will be expecting a refund.

Not bad, value for money but room for improvement! My party of three managed to book a table for 7pm, everywhere else in Bath was fully booked! I was after just a regular curry, before booking I had a look at the menu & thought it had enough options for mains even though it seems more geared towards the Indian tapas idea. There did seem to be a good choice of options on the menu, with some interesting pan Asia options as well as Indian ones, conveniently though all of the mains had rice included, making them good value for money! Along with my main I ordered one of the Indian tapas dishes as a side, which was good, as where the popadoms and dips. The mains arrived in good time, my friends had Butter Chicken and I had a Dhaba Murg Chicken curry was very nice, just what I was after. The draught Cobra beer was also good as ever, prefect to pair with a curry. The slight disappointment came with my friends naan bread, not only did it take ages to arrive it didn’t seem to be freshly baked, surely if naans on the menu you ought to have an oven down in the kitchen to cook them properly, I’d guess either a tandoor oven or pizza oven, but the naan bread came as a barely grilled shop bought looking naan, as I’m sure Gordon Ramsey would say on kitchen Nightmares if you’re not going to do it properly don’t have it on the menu! Surely if you don’t have the facility for fresh naans the better idea would be to serve chapatis bread instead? Having said that the naan was quite cheap at £1.75 but if it was a shop bought one that’s still quite a mark up. I hope this is constructive criticism, restaurant critics do say you can judge a restaurant on the quality of its bread, so it’s something that’s worth getting right, particularly given decent naan’s would go well with the tapas side of the menu! All in all not bad, but definitely room for improvement.

Ordered takeaway, didn’t arrive. couldn’t contact the restaurant. completely unresponsive to calls and messages. Called 16 times. No option to cancel so can’t get money back. Absolutely awful. Now seen lots of reviews saying the same.

I ordered a takeaway which was delivered by the restaurant's own staff. The food arrived an hour and a half after the scheduled delivery time, the restaurant didn't respond to my requests to be updated, the food arrived cold and there was no rice despite it showing rice in the image of what I chose. I tried to contact the restaurant and they have been unresponsive. It's also expensive compared to other options. Unfortunately not a good service.

Happy to find this place especially as a tourist when you are not sure of where to go. Good Indo chinese dishes just like Indian street food. We tried veg Hakka noodles and fried rice. Service was fast enough.

75 minutes late, cold disgusting food, couldn’t contact the slop cookers. want a full refund.

My order was nearly 2 hours late, it was cold when it arrived, and to top it off the Garlic Naan bread and French Fries were missing... guess I won't be ordering from Maaya again... really not a way to run a business.

We had the Moscow Mule cocktails, the Butter Chicken, Chicken Katsu Curry, and the Gulab Jamun dessert and everything was top notch. Great restaurant for a bite to eat! We were only in town for the day but we very much enjoyed our meal!

We had dinner here before the Manics gig at The Forum and it did not disappoint. Prateek provided a warm welcome and offered personal recommendations from the menu, all of which were amazingly delicious. This restaurant provides the opportunity to dine on South Asian cuisine served in tapas-style portions. Whilst impossible to pick a favourite, we especially loved the Schezwan Cauliflower and the chicken momo dumplings. We will definitely be back when we're next in Bath! Thank you again, Prateek!

Really nice little restaurant. Easy to walk past, but don't! Fresh, hot, delicious small plates with plenty of flavour and spice. The chilli squid rings were excellent, and very hot. Chicken, fish and lamb dishes were also yummy. Prateek was very helpful and friendly. Student discount too. Thanks for a great meal, we will definitely be back!

My order was delivered 1hr 40 mins after ordering - when speaking with the restaurant for an update, they did not apologise for the delay - majority of the order was cold - the trays for the main dishes were barely half full - terrible value for money

Ordered some info Chinese food , they did not give me the discount as stated in their website and the food was rubbish. Too much salt in the dishes as he did not balance the soya sauce added and the dish was burnt. They need to take classes from YouTube from the chefs instead of promoting their self proclaimed dishes . I wouldn’t pay a penny if I had my way
