Went to the locksbrook Inn this Easter Sunday. Booked a table for 7.30 we got there on time and our table wasn't ready. After we got to the table we tried to order food but everything we ordered we were told that they were out of that out of this so we finally got to something that they actually had in and ordered it. It came out quite quickly but it was burnt and tasteless overall a really disappointing experience wouldn't recommend.

The locksbrook is a favorite of ours and pay a visit now and again. Really lovely atmosphere summer or winter. Our latest visit for our first ever Sunday roast, we have never had one before due to normally being sold out. Both belly of pork cooked to complete perfection and gravy outstanding. The reason for 3 stars was the "vegetables" that came out in a separate dish (1 dish between 2) was unfortunately a joke, so much so I didn't actually have any veg as my partner was very hungry and if we split the veg between us it was 1 baby carrot each, 1 stem of broccoli each and one cauliflower stem each. I seen there was additional sides you can purchase of veg but it would of been nice to of been told that it may pay to get another dish or two it was only 6PM as well so I presumed the kitchen would of advised us before hand if they were short. We dont expect massive amounts but unfortunately this just wasn't acceptable and such a great shame as the other items, staff and atmosphere is amazing.

We have always enjoyed previous visits before BUT upon arrival to the table for Mothering Sunday, we were given a mother's day scratchcard, 4 mums equals 4 scratchcards, we had won 3 free drinks (as per T&C's on reverse) we ordered a 175ml wine, a zero G&T and soft drinks. We spoke to our server and checked the drinks so felt this had been noted. Our drinks and food did take a while to arrive and we then had to wait for our sides and veg to arrive. We did feel as it was quiet that several members could have helped to ensure all food arrived together. We had to ask for sauces, wait for the extra gravy we ordered, wait for the vegetables to arrive. Once our meal was finished, we ordered desserts but a few minutes later we were told the desserts we wanted they had ran out, this was disappointing, yes our booking was 5pm but being Mothering Sunday I would have expected products to be plentiful! We asked for the bill and handed over the scratchcards, 3 free drinks and 1 main meal. The server returned with the bill and we noted the cheaper drinks had been taken off, i.e. 3 cokes! The wine and G&T had been left on the bill at full price. I asked the server about the reason for this, she informed us that the cheaper drinks had been taken off, I pointed out that we had double checked with her when we ordered our free drinks plus checked the T&C's! The server took the bill to check it with the Manager, she then returned with our bill and just handed it to me, no explanation, no vocal at all! She walked away, I looked at the bill and then asked her to explain what has been taken off as it wasn't clear. She told us the drinks had been removed. We then paid our bill and left. Such a shame for this negativity to occur on what is for us a special get together.

Nice place nice vibe but the food was a bit of a disaster unfortunately. Starters and sharers were fine but had to send back the risotto as it tasted like rice pudding cooked in water. The staff were really sweet but we were then served yesterday’s tomato soup instead of the cauliflower soup that was promised. The roasts were also average at best. They kindly removed the problem items, replacements and drinks off the bill but still wasn’t an ideal meal out.

Fabulous find in Bath. If there one thing you need to find on a Sunday in the Winter in England, it’s a good roast dinner and this pub did not disappoint. Home cooked, fantastically tasty roast potatoes, a good selection of fresh veg (a total must for me), lots of gravy all served by efficient staff and with a reasonably priced bottle of Merlot. If I lived nearer I definitely be back more often. It tasted as good as mine and since I’m a caterer myself, the chef can take that as a great compliment 😃🧑‍🍳

Well worth the detour to get here, unless you are walking or cycling on the old Railway/Riverside walk then it is easy. Top quality drinks and excellent food, well prepared and delivered. Herself had light bites spicey meatballs and I had the Cornish Fish Fingers! (Battered Hake!) both fabulous! We were pleased because she has Lactose Allergy, and a memory like a sieve because she left a phone behind. Fortunately the friendly staff kept it behind the bar until we could return and collect later. We will put this on the list of go-to places now that the good burghers of Bath City are raging a war of attrition on motorised visitors to the City Centre.

Glacial service (pub was largely empty) and underwhelming food. Ordered padron peppers, chorizo and fries. Now bearing in mind the word "fries" is mentioned three times within the mains, but inexplicably not a side (only options cheesy chips and truffle chips), I expected fries. No, just chunky chips and was told they don't do fries. I was charged £4.75 for that small bowl of chips, that I neither ordered nor wanted, the same as cheesy chips despite no cheese. Also, for £5 I received a paltry seven padron peppers. Absolute rip off. Excellent options for low alcohol beers though, good to see.

Was there recently with friend & his young son. Great food, good value, excellent service (esp. Eve + Eva!) Kiddo was given crayons and a play sheet to doodle on. While there was 1 small "hiccup" with a food item, it was rectified BEYOND our satisfaction. If you go, definitely prepare to treat yourself to 3 courses! Get some starters to share, pick a main, relax a bit and get a dessert. MUST try what they're offering now (Summer'23) -- seems to me their Kitchen is Top Tier! Cozy, comfy, clean, "upmarket"-feeling interior; outdoor tables have been blessed w a marquee overhead but still bright on a sunny day - just no sunburn! Loo with flip-down changing table available (not sure I'd call it "wheelchair-accessible"???) FREE Parking available out front. Not much tho', as restaurant wasn't full, but we lucked out with a parking space. Location by the canal / cycle route, so tourists can bike out from town. It may be "further" to go than e.g. Vic' Pub & Kitchen, but I'd say it's well worth it!!
