LOVE this place. The service was very quick and friendly. The server that served my mum and I was amazing. She gave very good recommendations and helped us with our selection. Food came out quick and was delicious. The atmosphere was comfortable and felt nice and calm despite it being the lunch rush. Would recommend this to anybody and everybody.

Saturday lunch time. We were looking for somewhere to go, somewhere different. Somewhere with a bit of vibe about it. We were drawn to the Giraffe, as we have walked past it a few times and had never ventured, instead going to other places. But one must go forward, and put their head above the canopy, much like the titular creature, and dare to try new things. The restaurant was bright and airy, with a funky wooden and lighting aesthetic. Soft music played in the background. We were shown to a table by a (slightly terse) waitress and were left to bathe in the modern ambience. I ordered the Pulled Beef Birria tacos. They were simple but delicious, a cheesy tender concoction sandwiched in a soft taco shell. V large portion size and served on a bed of chips and salad. The stand out was the beef sauce, which did a great job imitating the real Mexican beef sauces. The fries tasted generic however, like their was no love put into their creation. I also ordered the fried calamari, and this was particularly weak. When I order calamari, I expect some calamari, what I got was balls of batter. An overpowering panko bread crumb taste, lathered in mayonnaise. It makes my arteries clog just thinking about it now. My gf had the Cuban sandwich, which I had a portion of. Tasted like a good guess towards the authentic thing, with mainly the bread being the thing that led it astray (not nearly toasted/panini enough.) The star was the mustard mayo dip, which added a good tang and spice to the dish. Overall, I would categorise this place as somewhere you would take your ids to after a day out at the movies or the local swimming pool. An easy, family friendly, crowd pleasing establishment. Why I rate it higher than your typical restaurant s in this category is that it dares to aspire to more. They could have easily jus served only burgers chips and pizza. Going out and attempting different cuisines is admirable, and even though the attempts are flawed, they are still well intentioned.

Day tripped to Bath, taxu driver suggested Giraffe. Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, was able to charge phone and get Internet. Food was lovely and fresh. Highly recommend if you're in Bath.

The sign out front was actually what caught my eye and the family and I decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. When we walked in my first thought was "clean". We were greeted by courteous staff who proved themselves very efficient. The food exceeded my expectations. My swinging kebab did indeed come out swinging (to my surprise). It wasn't just food, it was an experience. My only real issue was the distance between tables, I would prefer a little more. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and I'm hoping to visit again soon.

Excellent service! We dropped in shortly before needing to catch a train back to London and asked if we could be served quickly. Our food came out quickly but still very delicious! Our server was personable and friendly, and if I lived close by, I would definitely come here often.

Came in Saturday afternoon and load lovely food, but I have to mention the outstanding Espresso martini! I drink a lot of these and this was by far the best I have had in a long time!!! Well done to the bar staff!

I booked for 10 of us for lunch during our visit to the Christmas markets. I booked through Open Table and was charged £10pp deposit. We assumed that this would then be deducted from the overall bill on the day, as is common practise. However, this was not the case. When we queried it, we were told that it would be reimbursed to my card. Almost 2 months and countless emails later, we are still waiting for this to happen. I have been told that it was sent on December 23rd, but as yet have received nothing. Be warned.

Como de costumbre el saludo fue genial , el personal siempre es muy acogedor. Nos mostraron rápidamente a nuestra mesa reservada y nos dieron menús , comida y bebidas se pidieron y llegaron a su debido tiempo . Tuve un desayuno grande, mi esposa tomó salchicha y huevo en tostadas. Ambos fueron increíbles. Así que en general fue excelente. Pedí el proyecto de ley y llegó rápidamente con una gratificación del 10% ya añadida , esto me molestó inmensamente , no somos Estados Unidos y esto NUNCA DEBERÍA OCURRIR ! ! ! ! Si no se hubiera añadido automáticamente lo habrían conseguido de todos modos pero el hecho de que ya estuviera ahí me molestó como dije. Lo pagué y me fui, pero me hará pensar en ir allí de nuevo. Triste pero no me llevarán a dar un paseo dos veces por el mismo lugar

Lovely tasty Brunch, very good quality food. Pleased that we managed to find a table here when Bath is heaving with the Christmas Markets.

This was my first visit here and I was very impressed will definitely be returning. I've now now visited this restaurant several times and every single time the food and service is exceptional well done highly recommend.

The food here is amazing especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. There is plenty of choice and staff are absolutely amazing and very accommodating. Will be back very soon.

Five stars for the delicious fish and chips with very good portion of food in the plate. The servant was welcoming and considerate. Location and spaciousness of the restaurant. Others tried California Chicken Burger and the kids chicken burger and they were plain according to them. Kids liked the meat balls and pasta.

There were 9 of us and we all enjoyed Giraffe. Our food was very nice and came out in good time. We were all pretty hungry and the portions were good and we felt full. The service was nice and the waitress took an interest in what we had planned in Bath. Thought the restaurant could do with updating but doesn’t put me off to come back

Kids chicken burgers were so dry they didn't eat the chicken. Wrong order came out and little apology

The food was decent but when I came the waitress was told all tables are booked for the next hour and she send us away. I booked online and come back 5 minutes later and ate there. There were at least 8 other empty tables for the whole time I was there... Don't know why that happened, but it might be helpful for other users to know this

Giraffe saved us a few weeks back on a Saturday evening with the family when every thing else we tried was full. Certainly the restaurants in Bath aren't feeling the pinch with any lack of customers! In the back of my mind I wondered why we could get a table there but no where else, yet actually they did seem to have a steady turnaround of diners of all ages, which is probably a good sign. There is a bar to the side which caters for those who don't want to eat. This means it could get quite noisy especially for tables nearby. Also it has music playing that was a bit too high for background really. Not a place to take anyone to impress then, but would you really consider places like this in the first place? A warning: The toilets on the 1st floor need a rethink. The Mens are open & can be seen by those going to the Ladies. Why? Maybe they had room because they don't have pizza on the menu (although it is available for kids). The menu wasn't huge and in fact I would call it limited, but quite a wide range in styles. You can get fish and chips or Asian orientated dishes for example. Even my picky family manged to find something to eat. It was also served hot, which is a must in my books. Not trying to do too much then, but what it did do was good enough. Finally it wasnt exactly cheap, although eating out in the UK isn't. Overall though, we all came away happy, so that was proof enough.

Had a lovely meal with our large group in Giraffe before catching a performance in the Forum. All the meals were served in great time, hot and delicious! Staff were super friendly & helpful.

We had an amazing meal here! They managed to accommodate a party of 9 last minute. We had vegetarians and a gluten allergy and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Service was pretty quick and the servers were very friendly and clearly putting effort into their work. Would very happily visit again

We went for dinner last night for my daughter's birthday. There were 9 of us various ages. I was shocked at how well we were treated by the staff nothing was too much trouble. The service was 10/10 The food was so good. We had just returned from a weekend is Paris and it was certainly better than most of the places we ate there. Thank you for helping to make our daughter's evening so special. The staff are a credit to this establishment.

Entramos aquí con el hombre del bar diciendo hola y un camarero también diciendo hola nos sentamos rápidamente y nos preguntó si nos gustaría bebidas el camarero tenía una buena actitud las bebidas volvieron después de 5 nins y pidió comida un rollo de tocino y rollo de salchicha ambos volvieron a nosotros después de 10 / 15 minutos eran absolutamente comida caliente y se hizo perfectamente. Lo recomendaría aquí, ya que está a 2 minutos a pie de la estación de autobús y tren.

I visited Giraffe Bath at lunchtime yesterday. It was fairly busy. We were seated quickly, waitress attentive but I was really disappointed in the menu choice. Not really what I would call suitable for a lunch. Only one ‘sandwich’ option of pulled pork which isn’t to everyone’s taste, including mine. I went for the swinging chicken kebab which came with Greek salad and humus. The kebab was okay, but dry, but for £14 there was about £4 worth of chicken and hardly any feta and the pitta was hardly toasted. The humus was yum though! Definitely gone downhill since the last time I went pre-COVID - such a shame 😢

Despite being an early lunch the restaurant was pleasantly busy. The staff were great and the food matched.

Unfortunately a dismissal experience the clue was it was virtually devoid of both customers and a welcoming ambiance It’s a cavernous dark establishment grubby tables dirty floor The staff were polite but robotic. The English breakfast’s ordered were basic and unappealing. All in all a very disappointing and not to be repeated event.

Had an early evening table booked. The restaurant was half empty, but after 20 minutes our drinks order still hadn't been taken, let alone food. So we left. Told staff why we were leaving, and received a shrug in reply. There was some sort of front of house guy wandering about, but he didn't appear to be helping the waitresses very much. All in all a complete disappointment, and two very hungry children. An extra star for the water (to which we helped ourselves) and the colouring.

This restaurant is directly opposite Bath Spa train station so it's perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely lunch. They also serve breakfast too.

My wife and I are visiting Bath from the U.S. and decided on Giraffe for dinner. Ben greeted us and was our server. He was friendly, professional and patient with all of our menu questions. Thanks, Ben! I began with the Cornish Orchards Gold Apple Cider which was very good. For dinner, my wife ordered the British Steak and Chips and I ordered the Cod and Chips. The drinks and meals arrived promptly. My wife’s steak was prepared exactly as she requested and my cod was battered perfectly. The chips were crisp, not soggy. Overall Giraffe has great food, a friendly atmosphere, excellent staff and a central location. It was a great find for us.

I came here with my wife on a Sunday afternoon. It was quite quiet and that allowed the staff to be very attentive to our service. We ordered a selection of 'small bites' to share between us. Everything was given to us quickly, hot and very tasty! They accept Tastecard, which gave us a nice discount come the bill time... although a service charge was added without being advised, we didn't mind too much given the good service received... I would certainly look to go again if the chance arises.

Really enjoyed my lunch here the vegan duck stir fry is incredible 😋 also our main waitress Sarah was doing an amazing job super attentive and very friendly. Food and drinks also came quickly. 10/10 would dine here again and recommend others to do so too!

I have been going to Giraffe, for quite a long time, but hadn't been since Sept 23, as I walked in, Jo the manager, and the staff instantly remembered me. Which made me feel, good, before we had sat down, for our food. My Sister had a Veggie Breakfast, I had a Normal breakfast, we both had scrambled eggs, which were the best, we had tasted for a long time. Service was quick, food really hot. Waitresses, couldn't have been nicer, came to check, everything was ok, also did we need extra Hot drinks. Would defo recommend 👌

Great find!! Definitely worth a visit. Food is really good and great prices too, had five different meals for our group and they were all delicious, I recommend the Korean Chicken!! Giraffe has really gone down hill.

My daughter and I enjoyed a meal there tonight. Very clean and food served well. Staff good and disabled toilet spotless.

Just very bad quality food , produce not fresh seems sweaty and black . They should clean better because even the plate was dirty .

Good basic food but I've got to say the nachos were stop on and very enjoyable . Our waitress was very helpful and friendly . Definitely go back when back in Bath

Would I go back? You're having a Giraffe! Let's start with the positives. The venue itself is nice, the food was tasty, and the service was quick. What more could you want? We'd booked online for 11:30 as my daughter wanted something from the breakfast menu and there was nothing on the website to say when breakfast ended. Luckily a review suggested you'd be able to order from the breakfast menu if you arrived at 11:30. I asked whether this was the case when booking but no one ever got back to me. My wife then tried to order from the "all day" menu. Turns out you can only order from the all day menu from 12:00... so not all day then! Once again, this isn't mentioned anywhere on their website (I tried my hardest to find it). So we ended up splitting the order, with my wife ordering after 12. My wife and daughter are also Coeliac and the waiting staff had been given a few set things to say (which we were told twice by different people), which wasn't particularly helpful and it was a struggle to get the information we needed to make an informed decision on the risks. I think the serving staff tried their best but were hampered by the company policy and procedures. If the above doesn't affect you then I can recommend eating here, but we won't be doing so again, unfortunately.

Terrible experience! The service is shocking. Food sub standard. No apologies for thirty minute wait on drinks and then messing up our food order. Aggressive waitress waving her hands in my face ! No accountability for in-house errors. Do not go to this dreadful establishment!

The only good thing I can say about our breakfast visit on a -3 winters day is that the heating was lovely and warm but the staff were not. 4 breakfasts which took nearly 50 minutes to arrive, were cold and under cooked. The butter didn’t melt on the toast…not actually sure I can call it toast! 4 tiny button mushrooms sat sadly next to a pale cold sausage and a hash brown that was just as warm as the bread. The waitress/host had an attitude colder than the outside temperature so approaching them about the issues would have felt like prodding a hibernating bear! When we received the bill we were shocked to see that a voluntary service charge had been added. We asked our waitress/host to remove this as we were not happy with the breakfast. To which she responded with a tut and a comment that makes any 4 year old temper tantrum look like a picnic.

Nice place, much nicer than other Giraffe places I've been too. Had the hummus and bread, flatbread and yogurt and chips to share with a friend and it was all lovely. Even though it was extremely busy we didn't have to wait long for food

Great place in Bath, wonderful service even on a very busy Saturday in December! The prices are also very good, food is delicious, friendly staff.

Only went in for a coffee with friends after coming from the station. Took an age to get seated. When the coffee finally came, which took another age, they were all tepid, hardly any heat to them at all. Plenty of staff milling around but nobody seemed to be interested. Used the toilets before paying up, they were in a dreadful state of disrepair, toilets & sinks. Finally wanted to pay up, another total shambles as nobody seemed to be able to deal with cash!!! Was short changed after an apology for not having enough change on them! Can only dread to think what this restaurant is like when it’s busy as at that time it was quiet.

The staff were very friendly and professional but they seemed understaffed and stretched. The all-day breakfast was really tasty but didn't seem to come with all the bits as pictured in the advert on the TV screens (missing hash browns).

We booked this place as everywhere seemed to be fully booked in Bath on the first weekend of the Christmas market. We were all pleasantly surprised with the great quality of the food on offer. The steaks were really good ! Will definitely come again !

The menu unfortunately was very limited and underwhelming, I had to basically create my own burger just to get something I enjoyed and the after that it was just your average restaurant burger, nothing wrong with it apart from being on the small side.

Amazing service and food.I went yesterday with my friends and I was served by waitress salma who was very cheerful and helpful. The food was exceptional. I am definitely coming back.
